  • 최근 우리나라의 우유 및 유제품의 소비증가와 유럽 등지의 가축 광우병문제 등이 대두되면서, 젖소의 사육두수가 서서히 증가되어지고 있으며, 전업농의 경우 가구당 사육두수가 약 20-30두 정도이다. 물론 이 수치는 외국의 가구당 80두 정도에 비하면, 아직은 영세한 실정이다. 이러한 소규모의 사육이기 때문에 기계화가 되어지지 않아 대부분의 소규모 사육농가에서는 순수인력에 의해서 이루어지고 있는 실정이다 따라서 이러한 사료의 준비 및 급여부분을 자동화 또는 기계화의 작업이 가장 시급한 과제라 할 수 있을 것이다. (중략)

  • This study was aimed to identify how the main body vibration of power tiller will be transmitted to the trailer, and to find out the basic information for demage reducing method of agricultural products during transportation. The vertical vibration acceleration level was measured at 6 positions, i.e. engine, hitch, seal and three parts of trailer (front middle, and rear) for the not driving but at the engine speeds of 1,000rpm and driving at 0.35m/s. The results of this research could be summarized as follows; 1. For not driving, the accumulated acceleration level up to 120Hz was 50% of total accelerations at engine part and those were 28~41% at other parts. Those up to 40Hz were 20~30% at engine and hitch part and 2~8% at trailer part. And those up to 20Hz were 13~20% at engine and hitch part and 1~4% at trailer part 2. For the driving with 0.35m/s at paved road, the average vertical accelerations were in the range of 0.005~0.058m/s$^2$. The lowest value of 0.005m/s$^2$ was showed at engine part and the value of 0.031-0.058m/s$^2$ was showed at trailer part. 3. For the driving with 0.35m/s, the accumulated value of average vertical accelerations showed the lowest value at engine parts md showed 5 times value of engine part at trailer part especially highest value at middle part of trailer. 4. For the driving with 0.35m/s, the accumulated acceleration level up to 120Hz was 75% of total accelerations at engine part and those were 20~42% at other parts. Ant those up to 20Hz and 40Hz were 24~26% at engine part and 0.1~0.6% at trailer part.

Comparison of Rhizome Harvesting Methods Saururus chinensis (삼백초의 기계수확 효율비교)

  • This study was carried out to the harvesting efficiency of equipment used fer harvesting of rhizomes of Saururus chinensis Bail. Labor-saving efficiency showed 60-67% enhancement by using tillage operations with power tiller, digger attached to power tiller, and digger attached to tractor compared with manual harvest. Loss percentage of rhizomes by harvesting equipments was 2.2-8.8% lower than by manual harvest. Fresh rhizome yield and income index were increased 3-10% and 13-27% respectively by harvesting equipments, showing the highest yield and index in digger attached to tractor, Thus, digger attached to tractor showed the most effective harvest equipment for Saururus chinensis rhizome.

An Analysis of Factors Relating to Agricultural Machinery Farm-Work Accidents Using Logistic Regression

  • Purpose: In order to develop strategies to prevent farm-work accidents relating to agricultural machinery, influential factors were examined in this paper. The effects of these factors were quantified using logistic regression. Methods: Based on the results of a survey on farm-work accidents conducted by the National Academy of Agricultural Science, 21 tentative independent variables were selected. To apply these variables to regression, the presence of multicollinearity was examined by comparing correlation coefficients, checking the statistical significance of the coefficients in a simple linear regression model, and calculating the variance inflation factor. A logistic regression model and determination method of its goodness of fit was defined. Results: Among 21 independent variables, 13 variables were not collinear each other. The results of a logistic regression analysis using these variables showed that the model was significant and acceptable, with deviance of 714.053. Parameter estimation results showed that four variables (age, power tiller ownership, cognizance of the government's safety policy, and consciousness of safety) were significant. The logistic regression model predicted that the former two increased accident odds by 1.027 and 8.506 times, respectively, while the latter two decreased the odds by 0.243 and 0.545 times, respectively. Conclusions: Prevention strategies against factors causing an accident, such as the age of farmers and the use of a power tiller, are necessary. In addition, more efficient trainings to elevate the farmer's consciousness about safety must be provided.

A Study on the Augmented Reality Display for Educating Power Tiller Operator using Chroma-key (크로마키를 이용한 증강현실 영상출력 연구)

  • This study aimed to output augmented reality display using chroma-key so that power tiller simulator can be operated smoothly while wearing the head mounted display. In this paper, we propose a chroma-eliminating image filtering method. Experimental results show that the maximum and minimum values of hue, saturation and intensity were 0.52, 0.153, 0.57, 0.16, 1, and 0.12, respectively. A keypad was used to set the initial position of augmented reality adjusted with the front, back, top, bottom, left, and right buttons. The initial position value is always maintained and managed according to the trailer attachment and detachment. Finally, we show that the augmented reality merged with virtual image and the acquired image of operation device using coordinate values obtained from the HMD and the position tracking sensor as relative coordinates in Unity program that is the ultimate game development platform.

Study on the Establishment of Barley Cultivation System using the Power Tiller (동력경운기를 중심으로한 맥류재배의 기계화 -관작업체계 확립에 관한 연구)

  • To maintain the self-sufficiency of food production , it is required to improved the productivity and increase the effective utilization of land in the double cropping areas using improved cultivation technology. The following reasons encourage this cours of action because the overlapping rice harvest and barely seeding seasons complete for labour, the lower price of barley makes it financially less attractive to grow and these two facts together are responsible for a decrease in barley being planted in certain more seasonably marginal double cropping areas. Fro these reasons, it is desirable to carry out tests to improve the current cultivation techniques . In this interest , the following studies were carried out in the experimental field located at Banweol-myeon, Whasung-jkun, Gyeonggi-do from October 1977 to July 1978 in order to establish the mechanical method of barley cultivation using the power tiller. The summarized results are as follows. 1. The work performance in the seeding operation using the rotary barley seeder was 68 minutes per 10 ares which compares favourably with 408 min/10a using the conventional method. This is only one sixth of the time required by th conventional method. The operating costs using the rotary barley seeder was 1, 463 won per 10 areas as against 3, 486 Won per 10 ares for the conventional method, showing a saving of about 50% in comparison with the conventional method. 2. In the manure spreading operation, the work performance was 25 min/10a for the manure spreading machine , compared to 1089 min/10a for the manual operations. This is about one fourth of the time required by the conventional method, The operating costs were 810 Won/10a for the machine and 857 Won/10a for the manual labour. This cost shows little advantage by the machine over the manual labor costs. The conventional method of manure spreading will continue pending decision which will develope and improve the machine.3. Work performance in the rolling operation using the barley rolIer was 30 min/lOa which compares favourably with 135 min/10a using conventional method. This was one fourth of the time required by the conventional method. The operating costs were 514 Won/103. for the machine and 1, 003 Won/lOa for manual labour. In the weed control operation, the work performance and operating costs were 45min/lOa, 1, 399won/10a for the herbcide application using the power sprayer, 1, 149min/10a 8, 541won/lOa for the conventional method respectively. This is 26 times higher efficiency in comparison to the conventional method. 4. In the harvesting operation using the reaper binder and tiller attachment, the work performance was 60min/lOa and represents a cost of 2, 039won/10a. The con\ulcornerventional method took 640min/10a at a cost of 4, 757won/lOa. The reaper binder showns a saving of one tenth over the conventional method. The automatic thresher is already recommended for the current situations, and is now being used. 5. From a comparison of the results of the above trials, the serial cultivation system using the attachment for the power tiller such as the rotary barley seeder is now to be recommended for the current barley cultivation system. It is also recommend from these results that the mechanized technology now available must be used to improve and maintain the increase in barley production. It is seen th1t this is the only course now avaihble to solve the peak seasonal requirements of labour needed for l11rvesting and seeding between rice and barley cultivation.

Tilling Load Characteristics and Power Requirement for Rotary Tillers (로우터리 경운(耕耘)의 부하특성(負荷特性) 및 소요동력(所要動力)에 관(関)한 연구(硏究))

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effects of the tilling depth, tilling travel speed and soil shear stress on the tilling load characteristics and power requirement for rotary tillers. The results obtained from the study are summarized as follows. 1. The average and maximum PTO torque increased as the tilling depth, tilling pitch and soil shear stress increased. A multiple linear regression equation to estimate the average PTO torque in terms of the above parameters was developed. 2. The ratios of maximum PTO torque to the average torque were in the range of 1.17 to 1.65 for the various tilling conditions tested. The variation in PTO torque increased greatly as the tilling pitch and soil shear stress increased, but decreased as the tilling depth increased. 3. Power requirement for the PTO shaft increased with the tilling depth, travel speed and soil shear stress, but decreased slightly as the tilling pitch increased. A multiple linear regression equation to estimate power requirement for the PTO shaft in terms of the above parameters was developed. 4. The specific power requirement for the rotary tiller was in the range of $0.008-0.015ps/cm^2$ for the various tilling conditons tested. The specific tilling capacity decreased as the tilling depth and soil shear stress increased, but increased with the tilling pitch. A multiple linear regression equation to estimate the specific tilling capacity in terms of the above parameters was developed.
