  • 한전 전력연구원이 주관하고 (주)효성이 참여하는 협동연구과제로 100MVA STATCOM(Static Compensator)개발이 수행 중에 있다. 100MVA STATCOM의 반도체 스위칭 소자로는 IGCT(Integrated Gate Commutated Thyristor)를 사용하고 있으며 IGCT GDU(Gate Deive Unit)의 전원공급용으로 HFI(High Frequency Inverter)를 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 설계 및 제작된 HFI를 실제 인버터 IGCT GDU전원 공급용으로 적용하여 확인한 성능에 대하여 기술하고 있다.

  • This paper proposes a programmable low pass filter(LPF) to estimate stator flux for speed sensorless stator flux orientation control of induction motors. The programmable LPF is developed to solve the dc drift problem associated with a pure integrator and a LPF with fixed pole. The pole of the programmable LPF is located far from the origin to decrease the time constant as speed increases. The programmable LPF has the phase and the magnitude compensator to exactly estimate stator flux in a wide speed range. So, the drift problem is much improved and the stator flux is exactly estimated in the wide speed range.

  • 본 연구에서는 3상 하이브리드 순시 전압강하 보상기를 위한 새로운 보상 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 순시 전압강하 보상 알고리즘으로 본 연구에서 제안된 공간 벡터법은 종전의 순시전력이론에 비해 보상 기준치 연산과정을 간략화 할 수 있고 좌표 변환이 필요치 않다. 전력전자전용 시뮬레이터인 PSIM에 의해 제안된 이론의 타당성을 정상상태와 과도상태에서 입증하였다. 그 결과 3상교류 전원 모두에 순간적인 전압 강하가 발생되거나 임의의 상에 왜형 및 전압강하 또는 순간적인 전압 증가가있는 경우에도, 제안된 알고리즘에 의하여 전압 보상이 가능하였으며, 동시에 전원 전류의 고조파 성분 역시 보상 가능하였다.

  • $3{\times}3$ 매트릭스 컨버터(matrix converter)는 3상 입력 전원이 3상 부하에 직접 연결되는 에너지 변환 장치이다. 기존의 AC-DC-AC 전력변환 장치와는 달리 매트릭스 컨버터는 직류단의 전해 커패시터가 존재하지 않기 때문에 불평형의 입력전원은 왜곡된 출력전류를 발생시킨다. 왜곡된 출력전류를 보상하기 위해 본 논문에서는 신경망 기반 전류 보상기를 제안한다. 제안된 기법의 타당성을 시뮬레이션을 통해 증명한다.

Setting Considerations of Distance Relay for Transmission Line with STATCOM

  • Distance relay plays an important role in the protection of transmission lines. The application of flexible AC transmission systems (FACTS) devices, such as the static synchronous compensator (STATCOM), could affect the performance of the distance relay because of compensation effect. This paper analyzes the application of distance relay on the protection of a transmission line containing STATCOM. New setting principles for different protection zones are proposed based on this analysis. A typical 500 kV transmission system employing STATCOM is modeled using Matlab/Simulink. The impact of STATCOM on distance protection scheme is studied for different fault types, fault locations, and system configurations. Based on simulation results, the performance of distance relay is evaluated. The setting principle can be verified for the transmission line with STATCOM.

  • Recently Advanced Static Var Compensators(ASVC) or STATic Synchronous COMpesator(STATCOM) has been considered as a next generation reactive power controller. The STATCOM is a voltage source inverter(VSI) based on the static VAr compensator with only small capacitors on the dc side. The main function of the STATCOM is to keep the bus voltage magnitude at the desired value. This paper compared the PAM STATCOM with the PWM STATCOM. The characteristics and the control method of each model is analyzed. And the simulation of STATCOMs based on the above two methods is presented.

  • Of all known power quality problems, voltage sags provide the largest reason for concern. Sags occurs more frequently than outages and therefore tend to be more costly for industry as modern technical equipment becomes all the more sensitive to the quality and reliability of supply. Therefore we designed for a new model for Voltage Sag compensator, and we will implement Anti-Windup PI Controller with IP Block.

  • In this paper, STATCOH(static synchronous compensator : one of the custom power equipment) is proposed for balancing unbalanced loads. Compensation current references are given by the analysis of the unbalanced 3-phase currents. And for detecting negative-sequence components, digital Butterworth LPF(low pass filter) is used. The predicted current controller in the synchronous rotating coordinates is also proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of STATCOM is verified by the simulations for unbalanced loads.

  • 본 연구에서는 과도상태와 정상상태에서 고조파 보상특성이 우수한 순시전력이론을 단상에 적합하게 수정한 후 순시전압강하 보상 기능을 갖는 단상하이브리드형 직렬 능동전력필터의 제어에 적용하였다. 제안된 알고리즘은 전원전압이 순간적으로 왜형 및 강하되더라도 비선형 부하에 인가되는 전압은 항상 일정치를 갖는 정현파로 제어 가능하며 동시에 전원전류의 고조파와 기본파 무효전류도 보상 가능하다. 정상상태와 과도상태에서 전력전자전용 시뮬레이터인 PSIM에 의해 제안된 이론의 타당성을 입증하였다.
