Power allocation of soft frequency reuse(SFR) to increase cell edge user throughput by reducing inter-cell interference is proposed for coordinated cellular systems. SFR is the effective technique to increase cell edge user throughput, however, it costs the degradation of total system throughput. The cost increases when SFR operated in distributed resource controlled systems fails to be fast adaptive in the change of user distribution. The proposed scheme enables coordinated cells to control transmit power adaptively depending on user distribution so that it minimizes the loss of system throughput introduced from SFR while it guarantees enhancement of cell edge user throughput. Through system level simulation considering neighboring two cells, evaluation result for adaptive power allocation is shown compared with static power allocation.

In this paper, we investigate power allocation scheme and outage performance for a physical-layer network coding (PNC) relay based secondary user (SU) communication in cognitive multi-antenna relay networks (CMRNs), in which two secondary transceivers exchange their information via a multi-antenna relay using PNC protocol. We propose an optimal energy-efficient power allocation (OE-PA) scheme to minimize total energy consumption per bit under the sum rate constraint and interference power threshold (IPT) constraints. A closed-form solution for optimal allocation of transmit power among the SU nodes, as well as the outage probability of the cognitive relay system, are then derived analytically and confirmed by numerical results. Numerical simulations demonstrate the PNC protocol has superiority in energy efficiency performance over conventional direct transmission protocol and Four-Time-Slot (4TS) Decode-and-Forward (DF) relay protocol, and the proposed system has the optimal outage performance when the relay is located at the center of two secondary transceivers.

This paper proposes a power allocation method for multiple node beamforming with uniform circular array antennas to increase SIR of nodes in wireless mesh network. The proposed method calculates beamforming power allocation vectors that maximizes SIR satisfied with power constraint of HPA. The simulation results demonstrate the proposed method achieves the enhanced SIR of nodes than that of beamforming method.
Cross-layer design is a concept, which captures the dependencies and interactions and enables information sharing among layers in order to improve the network performance and security. There are two key challenges in wireless networks, lossy features of links and power assumption of network nodes. Cross-layer design of congestion control and power allocation in wireless lossy networks has been studied in the existing literature; however, there has been no contribution proposed in the literature that exploits the path diversity. In this paper, we are motivated to develop a cross-layer design of congestion control and power allocation, which takes into account lossy features of wireless links and transmission powers of network nodes and can be implemented in a distributed manner. Numerical simulation is conducted to illustrate the performance of our proposed algorithm and the comparison with current alternative approaches.
Deregulation in power industry has made the reactive power ancillary service management a critical task to power system operators from both technical and economic perspectives. Reactive power management in power systems is a complex combinatorial optimization problem involving nonlinear functions with multiple local minima and nonlinear constraints. This paper proposes a practical market-based reactive power ancillary service management scheme to tackle the challenge. In this paper a new model for voltage security and reactive power management is presented. The proposed model minimizes reactive support cost as an economic aspect and insures the voltage security as a technical constraint. For modeling validation study, two optimization algorithm, a genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization (PSO) method are used to solve the problem of optimum allocation of reactive power in power systems under open market environment and the results are compared. As a case study, the IEEE-30 bus power system is used. Results show that the algorithm is well competent for optimal allocation of reactive power under practical constraints and price based conditions.
To deal with the major challenges of embedded sensor networks, we consider the use of magnetic fields as a means of reliably transferring both information and power to embedded sensors. We focus on a power allocation strategy for an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing system to maximize the transferred power under the required information capacity and total available power constraints. First, we consider the case of a co-receiver, where information and power can be extracted from the same signal. In this case, we find an optimal power allocation (OPA) and provide the upper bound of achievable transferred power and capacity pairs. However, the exact calculation of the OPA is computationally complex. Thus, we propose a low-complexity power reallocation algorithm. For practical consideration, we consider the case of a separated receiver (where information and power are transferred separately through different resources) and propose two heuristic power allocation algorithms. Through simulations using the Agilent Advanced Design System and Ansoft High Frequency Structure Simulator, we validate the magnetic-inductive channel characteristic. In addition, we show the performances of the proposed algorithms by providing achievable ${\eta}$-C regions.

A resource allocation algorithm based on simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (SWIPT) to maximize the system throughput is proposed in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) relay networks. The algorithm formulates the problem under the peak power constraints of the source and each subcarrier (SC), and the energy causality constraint of the relay. With the given SC allocation of the source, we give and prove the optimal propositions of the formulated problem. Then, the formulated problem could be decomposed into two separate throughput maximization sub-problems by setting the total power to transfer energy. Finally, several SC allocation schemes are proposed, which are energy priority scheme, information priority scheme, balanced allocation scheme and exhaustive scheme. The simulation results reveal that the energy priority scheme can significantly reduce computational complexity and achieve approximate performance with the exhaustive scheme.

As a crucial development direction for the sixth generation of mobile communication networks (6G), Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite networks exhibit characteristics such as low latency, seamless coverage, and high bandwidth. However, the frequent changes in the topology of LEO satellite networks complicate communication between satellites, and satellite power resources are limited. To fully utilize resources on satellites, it is essential to determine the association between satellites before power allocation. To effectively address the satellite association problem in LEO satellite networks, this paper proposes a satellite association-based resource allocation algorithm. The algorithm comprehensively considers the throughput of the satellite network and the fairness associated with satellite correlation. It formulates an objective function with logarithmic utility by taking the logarithm and summing the satellite channel capacities. This aims to maximize the sum of logarithmic utility while promoting the selection of fewer associated satellites for forwarding satellites, thereby enhancing the fairness of satellite association. The problems of satellite association and power allocation are solved under constraints on resources and transmission rates, maximizing the logarithmic utility function. The paper employs an improved Kuhn-Munkres (KM) algorithm to solve the satellite association problem and determine the correlation between satellites. Based on the satellite association results, the paper uses the Lagrangian dual method to solve the power allocation problem. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm enhances the fairness of satellite association, optimizes resource utilization, and effectively improves the throughput of LEO satellite networks.
Most existing studies on broadcast services in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems have focused on how to allocate the transmission power to the subcarriers. However, because a broadcasting system must guarantee quality of service to all users, the performance of the broadcast service dominantly depends on the channel state of the user who has the lowest received signal-to-noise ratio among users. To reduce the effect of the worst user on the system performance, we propose a joint delivery scheme of unicast and broadcast transmissions in OFDM systems with broadcast and unicast best-effort users. In the proposed joint delivery scheme, the BS delivers the broadcast information using both the broadcast and unicast subcarriers at the same time in order to improve the performance of the broadcast service. The object of the proposed scheme is to minimize the outage probability of the broadcast service while maximizing the sum-rate of best-effort users. For the proposed joint delivery scheme, we develop an adaptive power and subcarrier allocation algorithm under the constraint of total transmission power. This paper shows that the optimal power allocation over each subcarrier in the proposed scheme has a multi-level water filling form. Because the power allocation and the subcarrier assignment problems should be jointly solved, we develop an iterative algorithm to find the optimal solution. Numerical results show that the proposed joint delivery scheme with adaptive power and subcarrier allocation outperforms the conventional scheme in terms of the outage probability of the broadcast service and the sum-rate of best-effort users.
This paper proposed resource allocation algorithm for the minimum switching activity of functional unit in high level synthesis process as like DSP which is circuit to give many functional unit. The resource allocation method after scheduling use the power function calculating average hamming distance and switching activity of the between two input. First of all, the switching activity is calculated by the input value after calculating the average hamming distance between operation. In this paper, the proposed method though high If level simulation find switching activity in circuit each functional unit exchange for binary sequence length and value bit are logic one value. To use the switching activity find the allocation with minimal power consumption, the proposed method visits all control steps one by one and determines the allocation with minimal power consumption at each control step. As the existing method, the execution time can be fast according to use the number of operator and max control step. And it is the reduction effect from 6% to 8%.
