시공방법 개선사례 조합에 의한 원가절감 가능성 평가 (Assessment of Project Cost Reduction Potential Adopting Cases-Synthetic Approach - Focused on the Apartment Building Construction Project -)

  • 현재까지 국내 건설사들은 공법의 개선, 제안 등 다양한 방법을 통해 공사비 원가 절감을 도모하여 왔다. 그러나 그러한 노력들은 각 건설사별로 이루어져 왔으며 성과를 업계 차원에서 공유하는 것으로는 연결되지 못한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 최근 완공된 공동주택 1개동 및 지하주차장의 건설 공사비를 기준으로 민간부문에서 적용된 다양한 원가절감 사례들을 조합하여 적용할 경우 기대되는 공사비 원가 절감수준을 분석하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 아파트공사의 경우 기존 대비 3.77%의 공사비 절감을, 지하주차장공사의 경우 7.33%, 그리고 아파트 및 지하주차장을 합한 총 공사비 차원에서는 5.26%의 절감이 가능한 것으로 분석되었다.

유니사이클 로봇을 위한 지역최소점 탈출을 갖춘 포메이션 알고리즘 (Formation Algorithm with Local Minimum Escape for Unicycle Robots)

  • This paper presents formation control based on potential functions for unicycle robots. The unicycle robots move to formation position which is made from a reference point and neighboring robots. In the framework, a local minimum case occurred by combination of potential repulsed from neighboring robots and potential attracted from a formation line is presented, in which the robot escapes from a local minimum using a virtual escape point after recognizing trapped situation. As well, in the paper, potential functions are designed to keep the same distance between neighboring robots on a formation line, i.e. the relative distance between neighboring robots on a formation line is controlled by a potential function parameter. The simulation results show that the proposed approach can effectively construct straight line, V, and polygon formation for multiple robots.

주거용부문의 DSM 절전잠재량 추정 (Estimating DSM Potentials in Residential Sector)

  • DSM activities have grown and matured over several years in Korea. KEPCO is currently offering some DSM programs in industrial, commercial, and residential customers such as rebate program in purchasing efficient measures. The systematic evaluation process of energy savings and peak reduction will be very important for deciding on the optimal investment of DSM activities in utilities in the future. In general, the estimation process of the potential savings of DSM activities include the determination of baseline electricity consumption, the instantaneous technical potential (ITP), the phased technical potential (PTP), the economic potential (EP), and the achievable potential (AP). The purpose of this article is to provide evaluation process of those DSM potential savings based on bottom-up approach and applicate to residential sector in Korea. In case study, ITP, EP are estimated to be respectively 21.5%, 5.7% of total energy consumption, and 4.1%, 2.5% of peak load in 2010.

마이크로 채널 내부 전기삼투 유속 측정을 통한 유리표면의 Zeta-potential 측정 (Zeta-potential Measurement on Glass Surface by Measuring Electro-osmotic Velocity inside a Micro-channel)

  • Many important properties in colloidal systems are usually determined by surface charge ($\zeta$-potential) of the contacted solid surface. In this study, $\zeta$-potential of glass $\mu$-channel was evaluated from the electro-osmotic velocity distribution. The electro-osmotic velocity inside a glass $\mu$-channel was measured using a micro-PIV velocity field measurement technique. This evaluation method is more simple and easy to approach, compared with the traditional streaming potential technique. The $\zeta$-potential in the glass $\mu$-channel was measured for two different mole NaCl solutions. The effect of an anion surfactant, sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS), on the electro-osmotic velocity and $\zeta$-potential in the glass surface was also studied. In the range of $0\∼6$mM, the surfactant SDS was added to NaCl solution in four different mole concentrations. As a result, the addition of SDS increases $\zeta$-potential in the surface of the glass $\mu$-channel. The measured $\zeta$-potential was found to vary from-260 to-70mV. When negatively charged particles were used, the flow direction was opposite compared with that of neutral particles. The $\zeta$-potential has a positive sign for the negative particles.

An Approach for Applying Network-based Moving Target Defense into Internet of Things Networks

  • In this paper, we propose an approach to apply network-based moving target defense into Internet of Things (IoT) networks. The IoT is a technology that provides the high interconnectivity of things like electronic devices. However, cyber security risks are expected to increase as the interconnectivity of such devices increases. One recent study demonstrated a man-in-the-middle attack in the statically configured IoT network. In recent years, a new approach to cyber security, called the moving target defense, has emerged as a potential solution to the challenge of static systems. The approach continuously changes system's attack surface to prevent attacks. After analyzing IPv4 / IPv6-based moving target defense schemes and IoT network-related technologies, we present our approach in terms of addressing systems, address mutation techniques, communication models, network configuration, and node mobility. In addition, we summarize the direction of future research in relation to the proposed approach.

Radioactive waste sampling for characterisation - A Bayesian upgrade

  • Presented in this paper is a methodology for combining a Bayesian statistical approach with Data Quality Objectives (a structured decision-making method) to provide increased levels of confidence in analytical data when approaching a waste boundary. Development of sampling and analysis plans for the characterisation of radioactive waste often use a simple, one pass statistical approach as underpinning for the sampling schedule. Using a Bayesian statistical approach introduces the concept of Prior information giving an adaptive sample strategy based on previous knowledge. This aligns more closely with the iterative approach demanded of the most commonly used structured decision-making tool in this area (Data Quality Objectives) and the potential to provide a more fully underpinned justification than the more traditional statistical approach. The approach described has been developed in a UK regulatory context but is translated to a waste stream from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station to demonstrate how the methodology can be applied in this context to support decision making regarding the ultimate disposal option for radioactive waste in a more global context.

A New Technique to Escape Local Minimum in Artificial Potential Field Based Path Planning

  • The artificial potential field (APF) methods provide simple and efficient motion planners for practical purposes. However, these methods have a local minimum problem, which can trap an object before reaching its goal. The local minimum problem is sometimes inevitable when an object moves in unknown environments, because the object cannot predict local minima before it detects obstacles forming the local minima. The avoidance of local minima has been an active research topic in the potential field based path planing. In this study, we propose a new concept using a virtual obstacle to escape local minima that occur in local path planning. A virtual obstacle is located around local minima to repel an object from local minima. We also propose the discrete modeling method for the modeling of arbitrary shaped objects used in this approach. This modeling method is adaptable for real-time path planning because it is reliable and provides lower complexity.

국내 이동전화 서비스 시장 예측을 위한 동적 포화시장모형 (A Dynamic Market Potential Model for Forecasting the Mobile Telecommunication Service Market in Korea)

  • In Korea, the mobile telecommunication service market is expanding rapidly and becoming more competitive. For service providers in such a dynamic environment, it is very important to accurately forecast demand including market potential in order to work out marketing strategies. In this paper, we suggest a general approach to forecast the market potential using a multinomial logit model, which is applied to individual-level market survey data. Then we develop a dynamic market potential model that can adapt to changes in the external environment without requiring further market survey. The proposed model is applied to the mobile telecommunication service market in Korea.

Characterization of O2 ionosorption induced potential changing property of SnO2 nanowire with Kelvin force microscopy (KFM)

  • We have employed Kelvin force microscopy (KFM) system to measure the potential change of a single SnO2 nanowire which had been synthesized on the Au thin film by a thermal process. By using the KFM probing technique, Rh coated conducting cantilever can approach a single SnO2 nanowire in nano scale and get the potential images with oscillating AC bias between Au electrode and cantilever. Also, during imaging the potential status, we controlled the concentration of oxygen in measuring chamber to change the ionosorption rate. From the results of such experiments, we verified that the surface potential as well as doping type of a single SnO2 nanowire could be changed by oxygen ionosorption.
