The Effect of Integration Between Respiratory Muscle Training and Abdominal Drawing-in Maneuver on Decreased Pulmonary Function in Young Subjects

  • The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of respiratory muscle training (RMT) with abdominal drawing-in maneuver (ADIM) on pulmonary function. Twenty-two subjects with restrictive breathing participated in this study. All the subjects were randomly assigned to three groups (7 subjects in RMT group, 7 subjects in RMT with ADIM group, 8 subjects in control group). The first group performed the RMT by using incentive respiratory spirometer (IRS). The second group performed the RMT by using IRS and the ADIM by using a Stabilizer. The exercises were conducted over four days. The pulmonary function was evaluated using the spirometer to measure the force exploratory volume in 1 second ($FEV_1$) and forced vital capacity (FVC). Measurements were conducted on the first day and the last day. A paired-t test was used for pre-post changes and the change rates in FVC and $FEV_1$ among each group were investigated by a one-way ANOVA. The findings of the the study were as follows: 1) There were significant differences of FVC and $FEV_1$ between pre and post in the two training groups (p<.05) 2) There was no significant difference of the change ratio the FVC and $FEV_1$ between the RMT group and RMT with ADIM group. Therefore, it is concluded that respiratory muscle and ADIM training, combined with two methods of treatment would suggest positive evidence for improving pulmonary function.

광선작도 활동을 포함한 동료교수법 교사연수 프로그램의 개발 및 적용 : 빛의 굴절 개념을 중심으로 (Development and Application of Peer Instruction Materials for In-service Teachers' Training through Ray Drawing: Focus on Refraction of Light)

  • 기하광학에서의 광선작도는 빛의 진행과정을 시각적으로 형상화할 수 있다는 측면에서 중요성을 가진다. 굴절 개념의 경우, 직진이나 반사에 비해 난이도가 높은 탓에 학생들 뿐만 아니라 교사들의 경우에도 이해도가 낮다. 올바른 개념이해를 위하여 광선을 그려보는 활동과 이를 실제 상황에 적용해보는 활동이 필요하다. 이에 따라 이 연구에서는 교사들의 시각적 형상화를 돕기 위해 광선작도 활동이 포함된 빛의 굴절에 대한 동료 교수법 교사연수 프로그램을 개발 및 적용하고 개념변화 정도를 측정하였다. 예비교사 29명과 초등교사 21명에게 각각 적용하고 사전, 사후 검사 점수를 분석하였다. 사전검사의 분석 결과, 빛의 굴절을 초중등 교육과정에서 학습하였음에도 불구하고, 수업 전에는 대부분의 연구 참여자가 굴절되는 빛의 경로를 잘 이해하지 못하고 있었다. 동료 교수법 교사연수 프로그램을 적용한 후에 시행된 사후 검사 결과, 광선작도 연습이 시각적 형상화를 도와 학습한 내용을 다른 맥락에 적용할 수 있도록 해준 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 빛의 굴절을 이해할 수 있는 교사연수 프로그램으로서 빛의 경로를 시각적으로 형상화하여 이해하고 개념검사문항을 통해 이를 적용해볼 수 있는 프로그램을 제안한다.

객체기반 CAD 시스템의 건축설계적 효용에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Architectural Design Utility of Object-based CAD System)

  • As architectural forms tend to be large-scaled, high-storied and complicated, use of computer for processing design information has been generalized. However, CAD use in the process of developing architectural design has been neglected greatly in the educational field of architectural field due to the surging of recognition that it may limit the essential property of architectural design. It may be resulted from the limitation of CAD system, that is, it is because of tardy speed of application development for the related areas with the lack of simplicity and clarity of flexibility to be secured on the drawing and user interface. Recent CAD systems, however, overcome such a limitation, convert into object-based design from entity-based drawing, drafting and modeling for implementing design concept of architects and it connects with internet linked to superspeed information communication network and changes process and stream of architectural design. Therefore, this study deals with utility of object based CAD system with products of Autodesk Co. and consequently obtain the following conclusions. First, it expands architect's design areas by supporting cooperative design system based on model-based architectural design and internet. Second, it reduces consumption of personal and material resources and time in the process of drawing production for improving architectural design works. Third, it can reduce the frequent design changes by improving understanding of architectural space with visualization of immediate 3D information, escaping from traditional methods to deliver design information to building owner through 2D drawing or model and perspective drawing requiring much cost and time. Fourth, it keeps exactness without omission or duplication of design information and generate and renew information of all related drawings on a drawing. Fifth, it is possible to change difficult and boring architectural design work into a pleasure owing to immediate modeling and drawing of design idea. In addition, digital drawing generated by using object-based CAD system can playa role of establishing Urban Information System to be used for protecting from building in disaster and urban disasters in connection with GIS numerical map and be used for reference of all kinds of information required fro post-management of buildings. However, what is more important is that surplus time from introduction of object-based CAD system should be used for consideration to be recognized as a good space and building built as a product of this project for comfort to urban people.

  • The wrinkling of thin sheet metal induced by compressive instability is one of major defects in sheet metal forming processes. compressive instability is influence by many factors such as mechanical properties of the sheet material geometry of the sheet contact conditions and plastic anisotropy. The analysis of compressive instability in a plastically deforming body is rather difficult because the effects of the above-mentioned factors are rather complex and the instability behavior may show swide variations even for small deviations of the factors. in this work the bifurcation theory is introduced for the finite elemental analysis of the instability behavior of a thin sheet with initially sound geometry and property. All the above-mentioned factors are conveniently considered by the finite element method. The instability limit is found by introducing a criterion scheme into the incremental analysis and the post-bifurcation behavior is analyzed by introducing the branching scheme. Wrinkling initiation and growth in the deep drawing process are analyzed.

Qualitative Content Analysis: Solutions for Tourism Industry to Overcome the Crisis in a Post-Covid 19 era

  • Purpose: The coronavirus pandemic has affected the tourism industry in a big way. The travel industry suffered intense damage from the pandemic and procedures acquainted to containing its spread because the pandemic outbreak has led to a decline in the number of tourists and a change in their behavior. At this point, this research is to investigate adequate solutions for tourism industry to overcome the crisis in a post-Covid 19 era. Research design, data and methodology: The current author gathered data from each included study to analyze and summarize the evidence when conducting a literature analysis. This stage involves gathering and reviewing intricate texts databases for the meta-analysis. Results: The current author found total five solutions from numerous literature contents, suggesting how to overcome the crisis in a post-Covid era for tourism industry. Solutions as follows, (1) Drawing beginning illustrations, (2) Introducing Government Backing Programs, (3) Increasing Promotion of Tourism Destinations, (4) Enhancing Safety and Security Measures, and (5) Improving Infrastructure and Facilities. Conclusions: This research suggests that although the global economic recession leads to reduced demand and intense competition from other sectors, the tourism industry will be well positioned to weather these challenges if practitioners of tourism organizations follow five solutions of this research.

재건축 아파트의 외부공간 변화에 관한 연구 (The Study on Outdoor Space Alteration of Reconstruction Apartment)

  • In this study, we analyze space alternation, which is shown pre-development and post-development in the reconstruction apartment. We point out problems in terms of the city and dwelling environment, and in looking for drawing up a plan for improvement as well. As a result of our research, we offer some important observations and conclusions. Ourdoor space of the site after the reconstruction caused inconvenience to the residents due to the plan for high-storeys, high-density, And the building shape and arrangement provide changeable conditions form line figures to variable figures due to courtyard patterns. The courtyard space changes into a parking area ; therefore the outdoor site gives worse circumstances.

  • This essay examines how the figure of Liberty has been refashioned in the streets of post-apartheid South Africa, addressing three public art works installed in Johannesburg over the past decade: Reshada Crouse's oil painting Passive Resistance, Marlene Dumas' tapestry The Benefit of the Doubt and William Kentridge's and Gerhard Marx's sculpture Firewalker. Even as these monumental works all reprise Delacroix's Liberty on the Barricades-an icon of the city street and its revolutionary barricades-so too this trio of Liberties have become mere phantoms of their vaunted archetype. Haunted specters, they quarrel with the mythologized chimera of Liberty, taking issue with the fraught tradition of pinning regime change onto the body of the female nude. Drawing instead on South African histories of women's resistance, in which female nudity has been repeatedly marshaled as a form of dissent, the Liberties circling Johannesburg hybridize their European template with local traditions of female political opposition to colonial and postcolonial male authority.

  • In order to apply the drywall system to the interior wall of the post & beam structure, the existing detail drawings and construction specifications must be revised. LH selected drywall systems suitable for post & beam apartment housings and revised their standard detail drawings and construction specifications. This paper describes the major revision of the plasterboard partition wall in the LH construction specifications and standard detail drawings. The main policy of the revision work was to prevent defects by ensuring the construction quality and to eliminate adverse effects on the subsequent processes.

체간안정화 융합운동을 접목한 가슴압박이 요통예방과 가슴압박 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of chest compressions on the quality of back pain prevention and chest compressions by applying body stabilization Convergence movement)

  • 본 연구는 체간안정화 운동인 복부 드로잉-인 기법을 융합한 가슴압박이 요통예방과 가슴압박 질에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 119구급대원(응급구조사) 15명을 대상으로 동작분석, 근전도, 가슴압박 질을 분석하였다. 자료는 SPSS 21.0으로 정규분포(Kolmogorov-Smirnov 및 Shapiro-Wilk 검정)을 실시하였고 가슴압박 형태에 따른 전 후 대응표본 T 검정(paired T-test), 측정시점 차이분석은 일원배치 분산분석(one-way ANOVA), 사후검증은 LSD를 활용하였다. 연구결과 복부 드로잉-인 상태로 가슴압박을 하면 근활성도 및 가슴압박 성공률에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 따라서 향후 구급대원의 요통을 예방하면서 가슴압박 성공률도 높일 수 있는 심폐소생술 교육에 대한 연구가 필요하다.

해류도 그리기를 통한 중등학교 지구과학 교사들의 동해 해류에 대한 지식의 변화 분석 (An Analysis of the Change of Secondary Earth Science Teachers' Knowledge about the East Sea's Currents through Drawing Schematic Current Maps)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 해류 모식도 그리기를 통해 드러난 중등 지구과학 교사들의 동해 해류에 대한 지식의 변화를 분석하는 것이다. 이를 위해 32명의 중등 지구과학 교사들이 총 6시간의 해류도 관련 학습과 실습 과정을 거쳤으며, 사전과 사후 그리고 지연된 사후 동해 해류 모식도 그리기를 수행하였다. 또한, 작성된 해류 모식도를 수치화 과정을 거쳐 변환하여 이 해류 모식도에서 드러난 참여 교사들의 동해 해류에 대한 지식의 변화를 분석하였다. 동해 해류에 대한 참여 교사들의 사전 지식을 분석한 결과, 해류도에 대한 기초적인 지식은 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났으나, 몇몇 개념에 대해서는 잘못된 지식을 가진 것으로 분석되었다. 3차에 걸쳐 작성된 참여 교사들의 동해 해류 모식도를 분석한 결과, 연수 후 동해 해류 양상에 대한 지식이 증가하는 것으로 나타났으며, 교사에 따른 차이는 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 경향은 연수 직후보다는 지연된 사후 단계에서 더욱 뚜렷하게 나타났다. 해류도 실습활동에 대한 사후 설문을 분석한 결과, 참여 교사들은 해류도와 해류 교육의 필요성, 과학적 지식에 근거한 교과서 해류도의 개선을 강하게 인식하고 있었다. 또한, 실습활동에 대해 매우 높은 만족도를 나타내었으며, 내용 지식의 중요성 인식 및 교수 전략과의 연계, 중등 교육과정 개선의 필요, 과학 지식의 본성에 대한 인식 등 다양한 측면에서 실습활동의 의미를 부여하였다. 이러한 결과는 교사의 교과내용학 지식이 효과적인 과학 교수에 중대한 역할을 함을 시사한다.
