Image Sequence Stabilization Scheme Using FIR Filtering

  • This paper proposes a new image sequence stabilization (ISS) scheme based on filtering of absolute frame positions. The proposed ISS scheme removes undesired motion effects in real-time, while preserving desired gross camera displacements. The well-known finite impulse response (FIR) filter is adopted for filtering. The proposed ISS scheme provides a filtered position and velocity with fine inherent properties. It is demonstrated that the filtered position is not affected by the constant velocity. It is also shown that the filtered velocity is separated from the position. Via numerical simulations, the performance of the proposed scheme is shown to be superior to the existing Kalman filtering scheme.

  • In this paper, we studied fire position recognition and alarm system when we acquired CCDcamera image of fire region and position. We proposed effectively extraction system of boundary of fire region using RED Filtering, and applied 2-graylevel image method to fire boundary extraction. Finally we can make system of fire position and region using mask extraction and matching for fire recognition. For the purpose of experiment result, we effectively recognized that the tire occurrence position and region have steadily spread.

GPS Error Filtering using Continuity of Path for Autonomous Mobile Robot in Orchard Environment (과수원 환경에서 자율주행로봇을 위한 경로 연속성 기반 GPS오정보 필터링 연구)

  • This paper studies a GPS error filtering method that takes into account the continuity of the ongoing path to enhance the safety of autonomous agricultural mobile robots. Real-Time Kinematic Global Positioning System (RTK-GPS) is increasingly utilized for robot position evaluation in outdoor environments due to its significantly higher reliability compared to conventional GPS systems. However, in orchard environments, the robot's current position obtained from RTK-GPS information can become unstable due to unknown disturbances like orchard canopies. This problem can potentially lead to navigation errors and path deviations during the robot's movement. These issues can be resolved by filtering out GPS information that deviates from the continuity of the waypoints traversed, based on the robot's assessment of its current path. The contributions of this paper is as follows. 1) The method based on the previous waypoints of the traveled path to determine the current position and trajectory. 2) GPS filtering method based on deviations from the determined path. 3) Finally, verification of the navigation errors between the method applying the error filter and the method not applying the error filter.

On the Filtering of Hangul character Element with the Spatial Positioning Modulation (공간 위치 변조에 의한 한글자소의 필터링)

  • This paper presents the filtering method which is processed on the frequency domain among Hangul character recognition methods. It is processed the Hangul character parrern with spatial positioning modulation and mapped the Hangul character element which have spatial position variant feature onto frequency domain, at this time, normalized spatial position and so normalized the character size in frequency domain. And it is grouped the Hangul character element according to the generating position and set the standard pattern, and used each standard character element pattern with character element filter and filtering the character pattern of Hangul character, it is derived the normalized cross correlation function and the coherence function led to the filtering results, and calculated classification threshold.

  • Beam position measurement system can not only provide the beam position monitoring, but also be used for global orbit correction to reduce beam loss risk and maximize acceptance. The Beam Position Monitors (BPM) are installed along the synchrotron to acquire beam position with the front-end electronics and data acquisition system (DAQ). To realize high precision orbit measurement in the main heavy ion synchrotron and cooling storage ring of heavy-ion research facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL-CSRm), a series of alignment and calibration work has been implemented on the BPM and its DAQ system. This paper analyzed the tests performed in the laboratory as well as with beam based on the developed algorithms and hardware. Several filtering algorithms were designed and implemented on the acquired BPM raw data, then the beam position and resolution were calculated and analyzed. The results show that the position precision was significantly improved from more than 100 ㎛ to about 50 ㎛ by implementing the new designed filtering algorithm. According to the analyzation of the measurement results and upcoming physical requirements, further upgrade scheme for the BPM DAQ system of CSRm based on field programmable gate array (FPGA) technology was proposed and discussed.

  • This paper proposes a theoretically rigorous analysis procedure that compares the position domain and range domain carrier-smoothed-code filters for differential GNSS positioning. Utilizing consistent error covariance formulation, it is shown that filtering in the position domain is, in theory, more advantageous than range domain carrier-smoothed-code filtering. It is also shown that if the visible satellite set does not change during a sufficiently long time interval the performances of position and range domain filters are similar.

  • Recently BLE beacon has been widely used as a method for measuring the indoor location in the IoT Technique. But it requires a filtering technique for the measurement of the correct position. It is used the most fixed beacon. It is not accurate that calculates the position information through the identification of the beacon signal. Therefore, filtering is important. So it takes a lot of time, position measurement and filtering. Thus, we is to measure the exact position at the indoor using a mobile beacon. The measured beacon signal is composed of an ontology for reuse in the same pattern. RSSI is measured the receiver is the distance of the beacon. And this value configure the location ontology to be normalized by the relationship analysis between the values. The ontology is a method for calculating the position information of the moving beacon. It can detect fast and accurate indoor position information and provide the service.

  • Sensor Registry System (SRS) has been devised for maintaining semantic interoperability of data on heterogeneous sensor networks. SRS measures the connectability of the mobile device to ambient sensors based on positions and only provides metadata of sensors that may be successfully connected. The step of identifying the ambient sensors which can be successfully connected is called sensor filtering. Improving the performance of sensor filtering is one of the core issues of SRS research. In reality, GPS sometimes shows the wrong position and thus leads to failed sensor filtering. Therefore, this paper proposes a new sensor filtering strategy using geographical embedding and neural network-based path prediction. This paper also evaluates the service provision rate with the Monte Carlo approach. The empirical study shows that the proposed method can compensate for position abnormalities and is an effective model for sensor filtering in SRS.

  • This paper presents a sensorless speed control of BLDC Motor using terminal voltage of the one phase. Rotor position information is extracted by indirectly sensing the back EMF from only one of the three terminal voltages for a three-phase BLDC motor. Depending on the terminal voltage sensing rotor position, active filter is used for position information. This leads to a significant reduction in the component device of the sensorless circuit. Therefore this is a advantage for the cost saving and size reduction. With indirect sensing methods based on detection of the terminal voltage that require active filtering, the position information needs the six divider section by PLL circuit, the binary counter and johnson counter by the EPLD. Finally, this algorithm can estimate the rotor position information similar to Hall-sensor sticked the three-phase BLDC motor. As a result, the method described that it is not sensitive to filtering delays, allowing the motor to achieve a good performance over a wide speed range. In addition, a simple starting method and a speed estimation approach are also proposed. Experimental and simulation results are included to verify the proposed scheme.
