Utilization of the Route Table for the Agent's Move in the Game Map (게임지도에서 에이젼트 이동을 위한 경로표 활용)

  • The use of the A' for the path search of the agent in the game map give the overhead of computing time in real time game processing. The other heuristic search algorithms do not guarantee the optical path. The route table of which the row is defined by current position, goal position, visiting position is presented in this paper. This route table is made in the game development phase and tilized in game playing. The visiting position which is contatined in the optimal path to the goal position from the current position can guarantee the optical path, and this mothod has no overhead on computing time. But the memory space is requred too much. This problem can also be solved using the data compression by skipping the duplicated route table.

  • PHC pile head cutting is an essential work in pile foundation construction. However, since the work has labor-intensive characteristics, there are problems such as productivity and safety. So in previous study PHC pile one-cutting head cutting automation equipment was developed to solve this problem. However, it has been investigated as a limitation that checking the cutting position of the PHC pile can be challenging in place where a rotary laser leveler cannot irradiate cutting position, as the sensing unit of the developed automated equipment utilizes an optical method. Therefore, the objective of this study is to delvelop a GNSS-based methodology for sensing the cutting position of PHC piles to overcome the limitations of the optical method and to examine its feasibility for field application. If the proposed methodology is applied to the construction site, it is expected that the convenience and productivity of the PHC pile cutting position sensing work will be improved.

  • This paper investigates instructional strategies with potential for improving students' achievement in word problem solving. This review compares and analyzes the direct instruction (DI) and cognitively guided instruction (CGI) research on K-3 word problem solving mathematics students in a demonstration of my position that teachers need to understand student mathematical thinking to enhance students' achievement in word problem solving. CGI provides a more appropriate instructional model than DI for teaching word problem solving. For example, student-centered, conceptual understanding, and children's informal or invented problem solving strategies communicating with each other mathematically, etc. Korean teachers and teacher educators need to consider implementing CGI teaching strategies.

  • Palaeomagnetic studies accompany calculation and plotting of pole position. This paper explains three graphical methods for the determination of pole position and plotting problem. It also derives the numerical formula for pole calculation and explains the method how the pole plotted on the rear hemisphere can be transformed to the frontal hemisphere, which is not clarified elsewhere.

  • The problem of fine manipulation is considered in this paper. By fine manipulation, we mean the positioning of the object relative to the palm as opposed to gross manipulation by the arm. The compliance in the fingers and the object is modeled by linear springs. It is shown that the motion of the fingers and object can be predicted by minimizing a quadratic objective function. A method for simulating position control algorithms is developed.

  • This is a study of the translational end-point control of a single link flexible arm-with a tip mass. The beam is mounted on a translational mechanism driven by the ball screw, whose rotation is controlled by DC servomotor. The problem of shifting the end-point from its initial position to the commanded position is studied analytically both for the open-loop control subjected to some path functions and for the closed-loop control using the feedback of the tip information.

  • This paper deals with "chattering" problem in variable structure control system. For digital computer control, chattering reduction algorithm in Analog-VSC is extended to Discrete-VSC. The proposed algorithm is applied to position control of D.C Servo Motor by using 6502 .mu.-processor. The improved transient response, as well as a considerable reduction of chattering, is illustrated experimentally.imentally.

  • This paper is about the method to improve the IDGPS system using receiver which is not aligned to GPS time. Transmitted data between server and user is constructed in PDDM of IS-801 rule. Pseudorange is overflowed in case of using receiver unaligned GPS time. And satellite position is miscalculated because earth rotating effect is not corrected. To solve this problem, when Pseudorange measurement is over the maximum range, the Pseudorange measurement is reset. And after the rough user position and transmit time is calculated, the precise Pseudorange measurement is calculated.

  • Alopecia is a minor complication following open heart surgery, but it is a cosmetic and psychotic problem to the patient. Especially the extensive long period of operation, prolonged mechanical ventilation and no change of patient head position during operative and recovery period may serve the localized scalp pressure effect, which causes postoperative alopecia. So, for prevention of the postoperative alopecia, adequate blood flow and pressure must be maintained with alternative change of head position during operative and recovery period. The author experienced one case of occipital alopecia following open heart surgery and reports with literature.
