불화물계 용융염중에서 Steel 기지 소재의 Al 전해피복에 관한 연구 (A Study on Metalliding of Al on Steel from Molten Fluorides)

  • Diffusion coating(metalliding) of aluminium on steel from molten fluorides(29.2wt.% LiF-11.7wt.% NaF-59.1wt.% KF, FLINAK) was studied. The electrolytic cell consists of a steel cathode and a consumable aluminium anode. Effects of manganese on the aluminium deposition were also investigated. The quality of the deposit was analyzed by SEM, OM, EPMA, EDXA, and also examined by means of Micro-Vickers hardness and corrosion tests. Deposit layer was identified as an aluminium-rich iron alloy caused by diffusion process. The optimum condition for the metalliding was found to be the current density, 50 to $150mA/\textrm{cm}^2$, the bath tem-perature, $57.5^{\circ}C$, and the amount of AlF3, 10wt.%. Addition of manganese fluoride (up to 5wt.%) as a co-de-posit element improved significantly the quality of the deposit layer.

  • In this paper, MEMS inductor was integrated on a 5GHz VCO using BCB as low-k dielectric layer for MEMS inductor. The VCO core circuit is realized by IBM SiGe process. We varied the spiral inductor's suspension height and posit ion on circuit, and studied their circuit interference effect on VCO performance. The VCO with inductor placed on BCB with More height and the VCO with inductor that was not positioned above active area showed better characteristics.

Transcending Cultural Boundaries: A Study of the Adaptation of Shakespeare's Othello by Vishal Bharadwaj

  • Ever since they were first produced, more than four hundred years ago, Shakespeare's plays have been reproduced and adapted into countless film and TV productions, into ballets and operas and theatre performances across the globe. The present paper, within a broad conceptual framework, aims to investigate the cross cultural dimension of adaptation of a stage play, written for the Renaissance England, into a $21^{st}$centuryIndianfeaturefilm. The paper uses Omkara, an adaptation of Othello by Vishal Bharadwaj, as a case study to: (i.) Explore the use of the idiomatic language of cinema in such an adaptation. (ii.) Posit a re-reading of Shakespeare with the help of local/native signifiers.

How consumer characteristics moderate time effects on online purchase preference: an empirical analysis

  • In this paper, we posit that time-related effects (i.e., the importance of saving time) on patronage preference for shopping online will be moderated by consumer characteristics. To explore these moderating effects, we empirically examine the moderating roles of consumer characteristics on the respective effects of shopping-time-saved and delivery on online purchase preference. On the basis of analyses performed on data gleaned from an Internet-based survey, this study demonstrate that time effects related to both shopping-time-saved and delivery on online purchase preference are more pronounced for consumers who are male, young, and more starved for time. In addition, the effect of delivery time on online patronage preference is amplified by disposable income, but attenuated by online shopping experience. Through our analyses, we also find that Japanese consumers value delivery time to a greater degree than Chinese and American consumers do.

운전자 시선 및 선택적 주의 집중 모델 통합 해석을 통한 운전자 보조 시스템 (Driver Assistance System for Integration Interpretation of Driver's Gaze and Selective Attention Model)

  • 본 논문은 차량의 내부 및 외부 정보를 통합하여 운전자의 인지 상태를 측정하고, 안전운전을 보조하여 주는시스템을 제안한다. 구현된 시스템은 운전자의 시선 정보와 외부 영상을 분석하여 얻은 주변정보를 mutual information기반으로 통합하여 구현되며, 차량의 앞부분과 내부 운전자를 검출하는 2개의 카메라를 이용한다. 외부 카메라에서 정보를 얻기 위해 선택적 집중모델을 기반으로 하는 게슈탈트법칙을 제안하고, 이를 기반으로 구현된 saliency map (SM) 모델은 신호등과 같은 중요한 외부 자극을 두드러지게 표현한다. 내부 카메라에서는 얼굴의 특징정보를 이용하여 운전자의 주의가 집중되는 외부 응시 정보를 파악하고 이를 통해 운전자가 응시하고 있는 영역을 검출한다. 이를 위해서 우리는 실시간으로 운전자의 얼굴특징을 검출하는 알고리즘을 사용한다. 운전자의 얼굴을 검출하기 위하여 modified census transform (MCT) 기반의 Adaboost 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, POSIT (POS with ITerations)알고리즘을 통해 3차원 공간에서 머리의 방향과 운전자 응시 정보를 측정하였다. 실험결과를 통하여 제안한 시스템이 실시간으로 운전자의 응시하고 있는 영역과, 신호등과 같은 운전에 도움이 되는 정보를 파악하는데 도움이 되었음을 확인할 수 있으며, 이러한 시스템이 운전보조 시스템에 효과적으로 적용될 것으로 판단된다.

변형에 강인한 내용기반 동영상 검색방법 (Modification-robust contents based motion picture searching method)

  • 동영상 내용검색을 위해서 가장 많이 사용되고 있는 기술은 컷 추출에 의한 내용비교 방법이다. 그러나 컷 추출을 위해 사용되는 CHD(Color Histogram Difference)나 ECR(Edge Change Ratio)등은 영상물의 Cropping, Resizing Low bit rate등의 변화에 대해 대단히 취약하다. 본 방법은 이러한 변형에 강인하도록 상대적으로 변형이 적은 오디오정보를 이용하여 Indexing과 Searching을 수행하였다. 특히 변형에 강인한 Searching을 위해 오디오의 장면(Scene)을 검출하였고 장면을 중심으로 Time-frequency domain에서 각각의 Frequency bin. 에 대한 스펙트럴 파워를 파워임계값을 중심으로 이진화(Binary)하였다. 제안된 방법으로 Cropping, clipping, Lowbit rate, Additive Frame 등의 변형본에 대한 검색을 시도한 결과 False posit ive Error 와 True Negative Error 에 대해 각각 1%미만의 오탐지 결과를 얻었다.

Novel Backprojection Method for Monocular Head Pose Estimation

  • Estimating a driver's head pose is an important task in driver-assistance systems because it can provide information about where a driver is looking, thereby giving useful cues about the status of the driver (i.e., paying proper attention, fatigued, etc.). This study proposes a system for estimating the head pose using monocular images, which includes a novel use of backprojection. The system can use a single image to estimate a driver's head pose at a particular time stamp, or an image sequence to support the analysis of a driver's status. Using our proposed system, we compared two previous pose estimation approaches. We introduced an approach for providing ground-truth reference data using a mannequin model. Our experimental results demonstrate that the proposed system provides relatively accurate estimations of the yaw, tilt, and roll angle. The results also show that one of the pose estimation approaches (perspective-n-point, PnP) provided a consistently better estimate compared to the other (pose from orthography and scaling with iterations, POSIT) using our proposed system.

촉침식변위검출기를 이용한 3점법진도도측정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Roundness Measurement by Three Point Method with Stylus Type Pickups)

  • Recently, in precision working, precision is in submicron. Therefore, when we measure various finished goods in superfine measurement, because it is relatively difficult to disregard effect of surroundings, these effect of surroundings must be compensated or canceled. In this study, for roundness measurement, three point method is researched which is able to cancel the effect of rotation accuracy of axis and eccenricity of workpiece. It is difference between this three point method and tradi- tional three point method whose measuring apparatus have three movable pickups posit- ioned with angle and between the pickups. As a results, when rotation accuracy of axis is varied from $0.02\mu\textrm{m}$ to $0.05\mu\textrm{m}$ the width of variation of measured roundness is $0.04\mu\textrm{m}$. And, when eccentricity of workpiece is varied from 0 to $4\mu\textrm{m}$, the width of variation of measured roundness is $0.005\mu\textrm{m}$. These error width are disregardable because they are in 10% of measured roundness. Therefore, by this three point method, the effect of rotation accuracy of axis and the effect of eccentricity of workpiece are canceled. And we are able to select the angle between the pickups ($\phi$ and $\tau$) by means of relation between $F_{k}$ and K.

The Effect of the Products' Review on Consumers' Response

  • Purpose - The purpose of this research is to discover whether the presence of the product average rating introduces biases or change the way people perceive information. We posit that review's overall rating has a predisposition effect on consumers' perception towards detailed review information. Research design, data, and methodology - To test these hypotheses, we conducted an empirical study on a real-world setting of online shopping platform. We choose the Amazon website to test our results. The data we use were collected by the Stanford Network Analysis Project1 (McAuley et al., 2013). Results - With a dataset containing reviews of seven product categories from amazon.com., our findings could possess more generalizability as they are produced on the typical and influential online market. Second, as our research provides alternative views of consumers' shopping behavior, it is better to test our hypotheses by data from the same source. Conclusions - Our study reveals the impact of the collective rating presence on consumers' diagnosticity perception and sheds light upon some of the conflictive results in prior studies. Our research generates implications to both theories and business practices, and suggests future directions for the research question.

miR-124 Inhibits Growth and Invasion of Gastric Cancer by Targeting ROCK1

  • MicroRNAs (miRNAs) act as critical regulators of genes involved in many biological processes. Aberrant alteration of miRNAs have been found in many cancers, including gastric cancer (GC), but the molecular mechanisms are not well understood. Herein, we investigated the role of miR-124 in GC. We found that its expression was significantly reduced in both GC tissue samples and cell lines. Forced expression of miR-124 suppressed GC cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Furthermore, the Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK1) was identified as a direct target of miR-124 in GC cells. Finally, silencing of ROCK1 showed similar effects as miR-124 overexpression, while supplementation of ROCK1 remarkably restored the cell growth and invasion inhibited by miR-124. Together, our data demonstrate that miR-124 acts as a tumor suppressor by targeting ROCK1, and posit miR-124 as a novel strategy for GC treatment.
