The current status of Korean jewel beetle, Chrysochroa coreana is reported from the data collected in the five-year field survey (2008-2012). Despite the previous assumption of its endangered status, the beetle was recently found in the southwestern part of Korea frequently. However the local population was suffering from the inadequate management of its host plants, Celtis sinensis Persson. This study reports the restoration possibility of the beetle by the adequate management of its host plants.

GIS(Geographic Information System) tool has been applied to determine a spatial difference of weed population density in paddy field and it has introduced to rice yield difference among counties as well as to rice blast in Korea. There was highly difference between sampling sites in terms of spatial analysis which may imply to be able to apply this tool for the precesion agriculture in the 21 century.

In this paper, a sample design is studied for 2000 forestry management survey of five types forestry , tree felling, gathering of pine mushroom, growing of nut trees, growing of wild flowers, and lumbering industry. We introduce population stratification and a modified stratified cut-off sampling which deal with determination of sample size, sample allocation, and estimation of total and variance of estimator. Substitution of sample units and imputation of nonresponse units are discussed for reducing the nonsampling errors.

In Korea, the traditional main food is rice There is a shortage of food, though the land is uesd intensively. The Koreans produce mainly rice its yield is very much higher than other crops. This leads to the comsumption of one type of food and, hence, to an unbalanced diet. Since 1962, Korean income has been going up rapidly, and the demand for animal protein has also increased. In order to solve the probem, the government decided to develop the dairy industry, because this would enable the population to consume more animal protein, and there is weak competion between rice and milk production.

An acceptance sampling plan for products manufactured from a production process with variable fraction defective is developed. We consider a situation where defective products have short lifetimes and non-defective ones never fail during the technological life of the products. An acceptance criterion which guarantee the out going quality of accepted products is derived using the prior information on the quality of products. Numerical examples are provided.

This research is to estimate population parameters of the Korean horse mackerel stock and to determine the status of the stock. Considering the linkage of recruitment with the variation of environmental conditions in the early life history, acceptable biological catch (ABC) of horse mackerel was estimated. (omitted)

The research proposes two calculation methods for estimating the overall, within and between standard deviation of population. These standard deviations can be used to evaluate the process capability and performance indexes. The guidelines for using $C_{PK}$ and $P_{PK}$ according to the pattern of common and assignable causes are presented.

본 연구는 다문화인들이 한국사회에 적응하는 데에 공공도서관이 어떠한 역할을 하는지에 대해 사회자본의 관점에서 탐색하였다. 특히 사회자본의 요소인 네트워크의 특성과 신뢰감을 핵심개념으로 설정하고, 4인의 다문화인과의 심층면담 수행 후 그 내용을 분석하였다. 그 결과 공공도서관은 다문화인들에게 얕은 관계와 일반화된 신뢰감을 기반으로 한 지역사회 내의 교량형 사회자본의 형성에 일정한 역할을 하고 있는 것으로 파악되었다.

The purpose of the present study is to investigate the audit quality and Investment efficiency of the listed companies on the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE). The population includes 94 firms selected through systematic sampling. The data is collected from the audited financial statements of the firms provided by TSE's website from 2008 to 2015. In this study the variables, auditor industry specialization, auditor reputation, auditor tenure and auditor independence has been used to investigate audit quality. The results of multiple linear regression analysis show that there is a significant relationship audit quality and Investment efficiency.

Objectives: To investigate the patterns of unintentional home injuries in Korea. Methods: The study population was 12,382,088 people who utilized National Health Insurance services due to injuries (main diagnosis codes S00 to T28) during 2006. Stratified samples(n=459,501) were randomly selected by sex, age group and severity of injury. A questionnaire was developed based on the International Classification of External Causes of Injury and 18,000 cases surveyed by telephone were analyzed after being projected into population proportionately according to the response rates of their strata. Domestic injury cases were finally included. Results: Domestic injuries (n=3,804) comprised 21.1% of total daily life injuries during 2006. Women were vulnerable to home injuries, with the elderly and those of lower income (medical-aid users) tending to suffer more severe injuries. Injury occurred most often due to a slipping fall (33.9%), overexertion (15.3%), falling (9.5%) and stumbling (9.4%), with severe injury most often resulting from slipping falls, falls and stumbles. Increasing age correlated with domestic injury-related disability. Conclusions: The present findings provide basic information for development of home injury prevention strategies, with focus on the elderly.
