유해물질 차단을 위한 방호복의 착용실험에 관한 연구 (A Study on Wearing Test of Protective Clothing against a Toxic Substance)

  • The purpose of this study was to search for comfortable protective clothing for waste incinerator workers. The experimental protective clothing came in two types: one whose outer side made use of polypropylene film, and the inner side, a non-woven rayon fabric processed with charcoal with a 10% density (CF): and one whose outer side made use of polyolefine and polyamide films, and the inner side, a non-woven polypropylene fabric (NNCF). Experiments were conducted on five healthy adult women whose average age was 21. These experiments were conducted at a climate chamber, in which the temperature and relative humidity were set below $28{\pm}1^{\circ}C\;and\;50{\pm}10%$, respectively. Measured were the rectal temperature, the skin temperature, the sweating rate, the weight loss, the heart rate, the blood pressure, the temperature, and the relative humidity of a microclimate and subjective sensation. These were measured within a period of 60 min, consisting of a 20-min stable period, a 20-min exercise period (walking exercise for 2 miles/hr on a treadmill), and a 20-min recovery period. Through this experiment, the differences between the human body's physiological reactions to CF and NNCF clothing, and the human body's comfort levels when wearing these, were determined.

PET/가염PP 이종 편성물의 염색 특성 (Dyeing Properties of PET/Dyeable PP Double Knit Fabric)

  • New dyeable PP fiber and several products from it has been developed through dispersing polyester copolymer into PP resin by a Korean synthetic fiber manufacturer and its colleagues. The dyeing properties of PET/dyeable PP double knit fabric were examined with three different types of disperse dye in this study. It was found that the disperse dye, exhausted on dyeable PP at early stage of dyeing, migrated to PET at elevated dyeing temperature when two fibers were dyed in the same dye bath. The ratios of dye distribution between two substrates dyed at $120^{\circ}C$ and $130^{\circ}C$ showed no difference. S type disperse dyes showed good build-up properties and acceptable color fastness while high light fastness type exhibited the lowest amounts of exhaustion but excellent color fastness. It might be concluded that the most appropriate dye for PET/dyeable PP double knit fabric was S type, and that some color difference between PET side and dyeable PP side was unvoidable.

전자선 조사 기상 반응에 의한 PP 기재 공중합체의 합성과 특성 (Synthesis and Their Properties of PP Graft Copolymers by E-beam Radiation and Vapor Phase Reaction)

  • 산소분위기에서 전자선을 조사하여 과산화물을 생성시킨 폴리프로필렌에 benzoyl peroxide (BPO)를 개시제로 사용하여 비닐계 단량체인 스티렌과 glycidyl methacrylate (GMA)를 기상 그라프트 반응시켰다. 합성체의 그라프트율은 반응온도가 증가함에 따라 증가하는 경향을 나타내었고, 단량체가 스티렌의 경우 $70^{\circ}C$에서 최대였으며, GMA의 경우 반응온도 $80^{\circ}C$에서 최대로 나타났다. 반응시간에 따른 최대 그라프트율은 스티렌이 GMA보다 높게 나타났다 단량체 내 증류수의 조성에 따른 그라프트율은 사용되어지는 단량체의 비등점에 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

Effect of waste cement bag fibers on the mechanical strength of concrete

  • Polypropylene (PP) fibers for making fabric which is used for packing cement have a high strength and high tear resistance. Due to these excellent properties the present study investigates the effect of PP fibers on the mechanical strength of concrete. Mechanical strength parameters such as compressive strength, splitting tensile strength and flexural strength are evaluated. Structural integrity of concrete using Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity (UPV) was also studied. Concrete containing PP fibers in percentage of 0%, 0.15%, 0.25%, 0.5% and 0.75% was developed with a characteristic compressive strength of 25 MPa. Concrete cubes, cylinder and prismatic specimens were cast and tested. It was found that the UPV values recorded for all specimens were of the similar order. Test results indicated the used of PP fibers can significantly improve the flexural and splitting tensile strengths of concrete materials whereas it resulted a decreased in compressive strength. The relative increase in split tensile and flexural strength was optimum at a fiber dosage of 0.5% and a mild decreased were observed in 28 days compressive strength. The findings in this paper suggested that PP fibers deriving from these waste cement bags are a feasible fiber option for fiber-reinforced concrete productions.

벼 상자육묘에서 부직포 두께가 묘소질에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Thickness of Polypropylene Spunbonded Fabrics on Growth Characteristics of Rice Seedlings)

  • 육묘 생력화를 위한 적정 부직포규격을 선발하기 위하여 경상북도 농업기술원 시험포장에서 4월 20일부터 6월 1일 까지 파종기를 달리하여 부직포 규격별로 온도변화, 묘소질, 육묘 노동력 및 자재비 절감효과 등을 조사하였다. 부직포 규격별 묘생육은 부직포두께가 두꺼울수록 초장은 커지고, 엽수와 지상부건물중은 감소하였다. 부직포 규격별 매트형성 정도는 4월 파종구는 $40g/m^2$$60g/m^2$의 부직포 피복구에서 비닐피복과 같이 양호하였으나 $80g/m^2$$100g/m^2$은 불량하였으며, 6월 1일 파종구에서는 $40g/m^2$ 의 부직포 피복구에서만 매트형성이 양호하였고 그 외 부직포 규격 및 비닐터널피복에서는 불량하게 나타났다. 모의 지상부 생육특성 및 매트형성정도에서 1모작인 4월파종구의 경우는 $40g/m^2$$60g/m^2$의 부직포가, 2모작인 6월파종구에서는 $40g/m^2$ 의 부직포가 묘생육에 가장 적합한 것으로 조사되었다.

Effect of Bed Soil with Polypropylene Spunbonded Fabrics on Rice Seedling Production

  • The study of this experiment is focused on labor saving of healthy rice seedling production using PSF (polypropylene spunbonded fabrics) as thermal protection material. Several factors such as different compositions of nursery soil and PSF materials were tested to produce healthy rice seedlings. The inner thermal protection material in PE film (polyethylene film) showed $0.9-1.7^{\circ}C$ higher than that of PSF 40-100 $\textrm{gm}^{-2}$. The light transmittance-ratio also showed similar trends. It is considered that the appropriate PSF material density was 40 gm$\textrm{gm}^{-2}$ in accordance with economic values and healthy rice seedlings. Plant height and dry weight according to various nursery soil showed the rang-es of 8.5-14.2cm and 5.5-10.0mg, respectively. In composition of nursery soil, artificial soil combined with paddy soil was effective in producing healthy seedling for rice seedling production. The total sugar content also showed the difference between PSF 40, 60 $\textrm{gm}^{-2}$ PE film (0.43-0.52mg FW $\textrm{g}^{-1}$) and PSF 80, 100 $\textrm{gm}^{-2}$ (0.28-0.35mg FW $\textrm{g}^{-1}$) and it showed the same tendency among varieties as well as various nursery soil. These results demonstrate that PSF 40 $\textrm{gm}^{-2}$ economically affordable, and can be recommended as thermal protection material for producing good healthy rice seedling.

전자 빔을 이용한 폴리프로필렌 섬유의 PVP 하이드로젤 코팅 (PVP Hydrogel Coatings on Polypropylene Fibers using E-beam Irradiation)

  • 소수성 폴리프로필렌 섬유의 표면을 상압 플라즈마 공정을 이용하여 표면처리하였다. 친수성으로 개질된 섬유를 수용성 폴리비닐프롤리돈 (poly(N-vinylpyrrolidone, PVP) 코팅액에 딥코팅하여 PVP 막을 형성하였다. 섬유 표면에 코팅된 PVP 막은 15 kGy 선량의 전자 빔 조사를 통해 가교되어, 폴리프로필렌 섬유의 표면이 PVP 하이드로젤로 균일하게 코팅된 것을 확인하였다. PVP 하이드로젤 코팅막의 두께는 코팅액의 농도를 조절하여 제어할 수 있었다. 단계적인 표면처리, PVP 코팅, 그리고 하이드로젤 막의 형성에 따른 특성은 접촉각, 전자현미경, 광학현미경 등을 통해 분석되었다.

  • 방사선 전조사 그라프트 중합법을 이용하여 폴리프로필렌 부직포에 Glycidyl methacrylate(GMA)를 그라프트 시킨 후, Phosphoric acid를 반응시켜서, 양 이온성 흡착제를 제조하고, $Pb^{2+}$, $Cu^{2+}$$Co^{2+}$이온에 대한 양이온성 흡착제의 흡착특성에 대하여 검토하였다. 그라프트 반응에서, 그라프트율은 조사량, 반응시간, 그리고 온도가 증가함에 따라서 증가하였다. 또한, 용매에 대한 GMA의 농도의 비가 60%인 경우 그라프트율이 최대가 되었다. 인산화 반응에서 인산기의 함량은 85%의 인산용액에서 2.5-3.5 mmol/g 이었다. 흡착실험에서, 2.9 mmol/g 인산기를 갖는 양이온성 흡착제의 흡착량은, $Co^{2+}$에서, Kg당 75.5g 이었고, $Cu^{2+}$의 경우, Kg당 36.6g 이었으며, $Pb^{2+}$에서는 Kg당 79.0g 이었다. 인산기를 함유한 양이온성 흡착제의 흡착량은 $Pb^{2+}$>$Co^{2+}$>$Cu^{2+}$ 순으로 흡착되었다.

아크릴산 그라프트 폴리프로필렌 부직포로부터 아민형 음이온 교환체의 합성 및 이온교환특성(I) (Synthesis of Amino-type Anion Exchanger from Acrylic Acid Grafted Polypropylene Nonwoven Fabric and Its Ion-Exchange Property)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 폐수 중의 음이온성 오염물질을 효율적으로 제거하기 위한 필터형의 고분자 흡착제를 개발하는데 있다. 음이온 교환기능기를 갖는 고분자 흡착제를 합성하기 위하여 DETA를 아민원으로 하는 화학적 개질반응을 이용하여 PP-g-AA 부직포의 카르복시기를 아민기로 변환시켰다. FT-IR분석결과는 그라프트된 아크릴산이 DETA와 반응하여 아미드화됨에 따라 PP-g-AA에 아민그룹이 도입되었음을 시사하였다. PP-g-AA의 아민화율은 반응온도가 높을수록, 반응시간이 길수록 증가하였으며, PP-g-AA 부직포를 용매를 이용하여 먼저 팽윤시키거나 금속염화물 촉매를 첨가한 다음 아민화 반응을 실시하였을 때 더욱 증가하였다. 팽윤용매별 아민화율은 $NH_4OH>HCl{\geq}MeOH>H_2O$, 금속염화물 촉매별 아민화율은 $AlCl_3>FeCl_3{\geq}SnCl_2{\gg}ZnCl_2{\geq}FeCl_2$순으로 높게 나타났다. 다만 촉매의 첨가는 DETA의 재사용을 제한하기 때문에 제조비용과 폐기물 관리면에서 그 유용성이 낮았다. PP-g-AA-Am 부직포의 음이온 교환능은 아민화율이 증가할수록 증가하였으나 대략 $50{\sim}60%$의 아민화율에서 최대가 되었으며, 상용의 음이온교환수지의 교환능에 비해 높았다.

각종 편성소재에 따른 스포츠양말의 위생성과 형태안정성에 관한 연구 (A Study of Sports Socks Varying Knitted Fabrics on Hygienic and stability Properties)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of various knitted fabrics of sports socks on their properties of hygiene and stability. Seventeen men\`s sports socks to represent five groups with different fiber content, knit structure, yarn fineness, and finishing were used. Properties of hygiene and stability of socks were determined. The results were as follows ; 1. Evaluation of Water, vapor and heat transport properties in socks with varing fiber content showed that cotton 100% socks had the highest drop absorbency, wickability, water absorbency and water retention. Polypropylene 100% socks had an excellent wickability and moisture permeability. Acrylic blend socks had the highest thermal resistance. 2. The greatest knit stretch and knit growth of socks having lower power were found to be with cotton 100% socks had the lowest stretch. Acrylic blend socks had a excellent stretch but low fabric growth, which could give a good fir sensation during wear. 3. The commerical antimicrobial finished socks showed excellent durability after repeated cycles of laundering. 4. Length and width shrinkages were found in all laundered samples during initial cycles due to rearrangement by mechanical relaxation. Shrinkages showed no further changes and reached equilibriums after 5 cycles. Cotton 100% or cotton blend socks showed lower dimensional stability than other socks during fabric care.
