In this paper, we discuss model identification of nonlinear data using GAs-based Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(GAs-FPNN). Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) is proposed model based Group Method Data Handling(GMDH) and Neural Networks(NNs). Each node of FPNN is expressed Fuzzy Polynomial Neuron(FPN). Network structure of nonlinear data is created using Genetic Algorithms(GAs) of optimal search method. Accordingly, GAs-FPNN have more inflexible than the existing models (in)from structure selecting. The proposed model select and identify its for optimal search of Genetic Algorithms that are no. of input variables, input variable numbers and consequence structures. The GAs-FPNN model is select tuning to input variable number, number of input variable and the last part structure through optimal search of Genetic Algorithms. It is shown that nonlinear data model design using Genetic Algorithms based FPNN is more usefulness and effectiveness than the existing models.
In this paper, we proposed the Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) model with fuzzy activation node. The proposed FPNN structure is generated from the mutual combination of PNN(Polynomial Neural Networks) structure and fuzzy inference system. The premise of fuzzy inference rules defines by triangular and gaussian type membership function. The fuzzy inference method uses simplified and regression polynomial inference method which is based on the consequence of fuzzy rule expressed with a polynomial such as linear, quadratic and modified quadratic equation are used. The structure of FPNN is not fixed like in conventional Neural Networks and can be generated. The design procedure to obtain an optimal model structure utilizing FPNN algorithm is shown in each stage. Gas furnace time series data used to evaluate the performance of our proposed model.

In this paper, we propose a fuzzy combined Polynomial Neural Network(PNN) for pattern classification. The fuzzy combined PNN comes from the generic TSK fuzzy model with several linear polynomial as the consequent part and is the expanded version of the fuzzy model. The proposed pattern classifier has the polynomial neural networks as the consequent part, instead of the general linear polynomial. PNNs are implemented by stacking the simple polynomials dynamically. To implement one layer of PNNs, the various types of simple polynomials are used so that PNNs have flexibility and versatility. Although the structural complexity of the implemented PNNs is high, the PNNs become a high order-multi input polynomial finally. To estimate the coefficients of a polynomial neuron, The weighted linear discriminant analysis. The output of fuzzy rule system with PNNs as the consequent part is the linear combination of the output of several PNNs. To evaluate the classification ability of the proposed pattern classifier, we make some experiments with several machine learning data sets.

In this paper, we propose a new architecture of Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) by means of genetically optimized Fuzzy Polynomial Neuron(FPN) and discuss its comprehensive design methodology involving mechanisms of genetic optimization, especially Genetic Algorithms(GAs). The conventional FPNN developed so far are based on mechanisms of self-organization and evolutionary optimization. The design of the network exploits the extended Group Method of Data Handling(GMDH) with some essential parameters of the network being provided by the designer and kept fixed throughout the overall development process. This restriction may hamper a possibility of producing an optimal architecture of the model. The proposed FPNN gives rise to a structurally optimized network and comes with a substantial level of flexibility in comparison to the one we encounter in conventional FPNNs. It is shown that the proposed advanced genetic algorithms based Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks is more useful and effective than the existing models for nonlinear process. We experimented with Medical Imaging System(MIS) dataset to evaluate the performance of the proposed model.
In this study, we introduce and investigate a class of dynamic perceptron architectures, discuss a comprehensive design methodology and carry out a series of numeric experiments. The proposed dynamic perceptron architectures are called as Polynomial Neural Networks(PNN). PNN is a flexible neural architecture whose topology is developed through learning. In particular, the number of layers of the PNN is not fixed in advance but is generated on the fly. In this sense, PNN is a self-organizing network. PNN has two kinds of networks, Polynomial Neuron(FPN)-based and Fuzzy Polynomial Neuron(FPN)-based networks, according to a polynomial structure. The essence of the design procedure of PN-based Self-organizing Polynomial Neural Networks(SOPNN) dwells on the Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH) [1]. Each node of the SOPNN exhibits a high level of flexibility and realizes a polynomial type of mapping (linear, quadratic, and cubic) between input and output variables. FPN-based SOPNN dwells on the ideas of fuzzy rule-based computing and neural networks. Simulations involve a series of synthetic as well as experimental data used across various neurofuzzy systems. A detailed comparative analysis is included as well.

The study is concerned with an approach to the design of new architectures of fuzzy neural networks and the discussion of comprehensive design methodology supporting their development. We propose an Adaptive Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(APFNN) based on Fuzzy Neural Networks(FNN) and Self-organizing Networks(SON) for model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. The proposed AFPNN is generated from the mutually combined structure of both FNN and SON. The one and the other are considered as the premise and the consequence part of AFPNN, respectively. As the premise structure of AFPNN, FNN uses both the simplified fuzzy inference and error back-propagation teaming rule. The parameters of FNN are refined(optimized) using genetic algorithms(GAs). As the consequence structure of AFPNN, SON is realized by a polynomial type of mapping(linear, quadratic and modified quadratic) between input and output variables. In this study, we introduce two kinds of AFPNN architectures, namely the basic and the modified one. The basic and the modified architectures depend on the number of input variables and the order of polynomial in each layer of consequence structure. Owing to the specific features of two combined architectures, it is possible to consider the nonlinear characteristics of process system and to obtain the better output performance with superb predictive ability. The availability and feasibility of the AFPNN are discussed and illustrated with the aid of two representative numerical examples. The results show that the proposed AFPNN can produce the model with higher accuracy and predictive ability than any other method presented previously.

In this paper, we propose Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks(FPNN) based on Polynomial Neural Networks(PNN) and Fuzzy Neural Networks(FNN) for model identification of complex and nonlinear systems. The proposed FPNN is generated from the mutually combined structure of both FNN and PNN. The one and the other are considered as the premise part and consequence part of FPNN structure respectively. As the consequence part of FPNN, PNN is based on Group Method of Data Handling(GMDH) method and its structure is similar to Neural Networks. But the structure of PNN is not fixed like in conventional Neural Networks and self-organizing networks that can be generated. FPNN is available effectively for multi-input variables and high-order polynomial according to the combination of FNN with PNN. Accordingly it is possible to consider the nonlinearity characteristics of process and to get better output performance with superb predictive ability. As the premise part of FPNN, FNN uses both the simplified fuzzy inference as fuzzy inference method and error back-propagation algorithm as learning rule. The parameters such as parameters of membership functions, learning rates and momentum coefficients are adjusted using genetic algorithms. And we use two kinds of FNN structure according to the division method of fuzzy space of input variables. One is basic FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by each separated input variable, the other is modified FNN structure and uses fuzzy input space divided by mutually combined input variables. In order to evaluate the performance of proposed models, we use the nonlinear function and traffic route choice process. The results show that the proposed FPNN can produce the model with higher accuracy and more robustness than any other method presented previously. And also performance index related to the approximation and prediction capabilities of model is evaluated and discussed.
In this paper, we propose the Optimal Polynomial Neural Networks(PNN) for nonlinear process. The PNN is based on Group Method of Data Handling(GMDH) method and its structure is similar to feedforward Neural Networks. But the structure of PNN is not fixed like in conventional Neural Networks and can be generated. The each node of PNN structure uses several types of high-order polynomial such as linear, quadratic and modified quadratic, and is connected as various kinds of multi-variable inputs. The conventional PNN depends on experience of a designer that select No. of input variable, input variable and polynomial type. Therefore it is very difficult a organizing of optimized network. The proposed algorithm identified and selected No. of input variable, input variable and polynomial type by using Genetic Algorithms(GAs). In the sequel the proposed model shows not only superior results to the existing models, but also pliability in organizing of optimal network. Medical Imaging System(MIS) data is simulated in order to confirm the efficiency and feasibility of the proposed approach in this paper.
In this paper, we discuss optimal design of Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks by means of Genetic Algorithms(GAs) using symbolic coding for non-linear data. One of the major subject of genetic algorithms is representation of chromosomes. The proposed model optimized by the means genetic algorithms which used symbolic code to represent chromosomes. The proposed gFPNN used a triangle and a Gaussian-like membership function in premise part of rules and design the consequent structure by constant and regression polynomial (linear, quadratic and modified quadratic) function between input and output variables. The performance of the proposed model is quantified through experimentation that exploits standard data already used in fuzzy modeling. These results reveal superiority of the proposed networks over the existing fuzzy and neural models.
In this paper, we introduce a new structure of fuzzy-neural networks Fuzzy Set-based Polynomial Neural Networks (FSPNN). The two underlying design mechanisms of such networks involve genetic optimization and information granulation. The resulting constructs are Fuzzy Polynomial Neural Networks (FPNN) with fuzzy set-based polynomial neurons (FSPNs) regarded as their generic processing elements. First, we introduce a comprehensive design methodology (viz. a genetic optimization using Genetic Algorithms) to determine the optimal structure of the FSPNNs. This methodology hinges on the extended Group Method of Data Handling (GMDH) and fuzzy set-based rules. It concerns FSPNN-related parameters such as the number of input variables, the order of the polynomial, the number of membership functions, and a collection of a specific subset of input variables realized through the mechanism of genetic optimization. Second, the fuzzy rules used in the networks exploit the notion of information granules defined over systems variables and formed through the process of information granulation. This granulation is realized with the aid of the hard C- Means clustering (HCM). The performance of the network is quantified through experimentation in which we use a number of modeling benchmarks already experimented with in the realm of fuzzy or neurofuzzy modeling.
