A great deal of energy is necessary with emission of lots of wastewater in dyeing and finishing process, but heat recovery from wastewater is not introduced since is technology is not developed yet. In order to obtain the method utilizing hot water produced by heat source, that is, dyeing wastewater it was investigated the characteristics of dyeing and finishing process and energy basic unit. Energy basic unit of polyester/cotton (T/C), polyester/rayon (T/R) and polyester dyeing process are higher than that of the other process. The average quantity of wastewater for each dyeing company is 20,470 ton/month, the average temperature of wastewater is about 41$^{\circ}C$. Because the SS solution of wastewater in polyester dyeing process is lower than that of the other process, the effect of corrosion in heat recovery system is low. Since the energy price for 1000 kcal produced by vapor compression heat pump is presumed to be 22.50 won, it is found to be very economic heat recovery system, and its payback is 2.09 years for the factory with LNG boiler.

In order to design the dyeing process of polyester fibers at low liquor ratio the reproducbility and levelness of dyeings were investigated at various dyeing scale. The levelness was evaluated statistically from color strength obtained at different sections of each piece of dyed fabrics. As the dyeing scale increased, levelling properties was improved.
This study investigated into the effects of the colors of warp and weft on the overall colors of fabrics, along with the visual changes of colors by the measuring angle of both warp and weft, by means of cross-dyeing of cotton/PET union fabrics. First, the reflectance of polyester is higher than that of cotton over the whole wavelength. Second, the dyeing of polyester uses the disperse dyes and that of cotton uses fiber-reactive dyes, the differences in the features of dyes and the reflectance of fabrics cause the same colors to be perceived different by the angle of observation. Third, the dyeing of cotton and PET fabrics individually with the same color revealed that the dyeing of cotton and PET fabrics in one bath resulted in a small difference in colors between the two fabrics than the separate dyeing in two bathes. In the case of one bath, the dyeing of PET fabrics followed by that of cotton fabrics resulted in a small difference in color than the dyeing in the reversed order. Fourth, when cotton/PET union fabrics were dyed in ten colors, the difference in colors between the two fabrics was small; and due to the difference in the density of warp and weft of union fabrics, some difference was detected in comparison with the results of separate dyeing of cotton and PET fabrics in one bath. The latter did not produce the changes in color which was recognizable with the naked eyes. Fifth, when cotton/PET union fabrics were dyed in ten colors, any color change was not observed by the measuring angle, and the inclination in the direction of warp or weft resulted in the tendency of color-deepening. In the measurement of the latter, the inclination in the direction of weft resulted in the higher color-deepening than that in the direction of warp, due to the influence of weft.
This study was carried out investigate the characteristics of Habutae and Chiffon woven with silk and polyester(S/P) compound yarn. The S/P compound yarn could be produced by the automatic reeling machine with attachment of air jetting device, polyester yarn guider and tension control apparatus. The surface structure, tensile property and dyeing fastness of S/P compound fabric were examined for the fabric properties. Electron microscopy revealed that most part of S/P compound yarn was well interlaced and some silk part of compound yarn were hidden by polyester on an examination of surface of chiffon fabric. By the one bath and two step dyeing of disperse and acidic dyes, the colour fastness of S/P compound fabrics were 4 grade above. The tenacity and initial modulus of the finished S/P compound fabric were lower than those of grey and degummed fabrics, but reversed in elongation.
Polyester fabrics were irradiated by UV produced by the low pressure mercury lamp. UV irradiation broke a C-H bond of PET fiber and caused the carbonyl groups on the fiber surfaces. Surface modification of PET fibers were accelerated by pretreatment with methanol, ethanol and acetone. The irradiated PET was dyed with basic dyes having cationic groups. The dye uptakes were proportional to irradiation times, and in inversely proportional to irradiation distances. The tensile strengths of PET fabrics decreased by UV irradiation. Washing fastness of PET dyeings were good, about 4-5 grade, andlightfastnesswerepoor, about l grade.
Cationic dyeable polyester(CDP) fabric was annealed at varying temperatures range from $120^{\circ}C$ to $220^{\circ}C$ for 1, 3, and 5 min under tension. Dyeing rates of CDP fabrics were measured with cationic and disperse dyes at $100^{\circ}C$ and $120^{\circ}C$ in water system. Also X-ray diffraction pattern, DSC thermograms and dyeability of fabric with cationic and disperse dyes were investigated. The intensities of X-ray diffraction peaks of annealed fabric were increased with increasing in annealed temperature, and peak became sharp with heat setting temperature. The apparent color depth (K/S) of CDP fabric initially decreased with increase of heat-setting temperature up to $160\~180^{\circ}C$ and then increased at higher temperature. The shearing modulus(G) and surface roughness were increased with annealing temperature.
Polyester fibers can be modified into cationic dyeable polyester fibers(CDP) by the copolymerization of terephthalic acid and 5-sodium sulphoisophthalic acid with ethylene glycol. The advantage of CDP on most cationic dyes is the conspicuous brilliance due to a narrow steep absorption band and the wash fastness and etc. Weight reduction by alkali hydrolysis, dyeing and solvent wicking properties of fabrics with cationic dyes, and change of fine structure were investigated. To obtain optimum splitting process parameters for dyeing and physical properties of micro CDP fiber, splitting method under various conditions was carried out. By means of SEM, it was confirmed that the splitting process of the micro CDP fiber be achieved at the weight reduction. A comparatively greater quantity of dye is necessary to dye microfiber than conventional fiber. The fastness and solvent wicking of regular CDP fiber is higher than that of micro CDP fiber.
Due to the unique recipes and processes of each company, not only differences among the results of dyeing textile materials exist but they are also difficult to predict. This study attempted to develop a color prediction model based on deep learning to optimize color realization in the dyeing process. For this purpose, deep learning-based models such as multilayer perceptron, CNN and LSTM models were selected. Three forecasting models were trained by collecting a total of 376 data sets. The three predictive models were compared and analyzed using the cross-validation method. The mean of the CMC (2:1) color difference for the prediction results of the LSTM model was found to be the best.
The textile fabric have the functions of sanitation, decoration, wearing style and washing in the practical use. Among various texitle fiber, silk has less utilities than synthetic fiber in practical use although silk has good benefits of the high quality. Thus no textile fiber, neither natural nor synthetic, has all the functions. In this sence, many blend yarns have been improved various functions of fabric. However, this has been disturbed with the problem of dyeing, especially in the case of blend fabric of silk. In this study, we dyed silk/PET blend fabric in one step useing one bath dyeing method by acid dyes/disperse dyes. The results of the experiments can be summarized as follows; 1) Yellow index of silk fabric treated at $130^{\circ}C$ increased about 7.8 (color difference 4.5 NBS) and whiteness decrease about 5%. 2) Both elongation and tensile strength of silk fabric treated at $130^{\circ}C$ of pH 5-6 decreased about 10% and tensile strength of silk spun yarn treated at $60^{\circ}C$ of pH 10 have little changed. 3) While silk/PET blend frbric dyeing, silk soiling of disperse dyes causes from difference of dyeing rate and degree of silk soiling with dyes. 4) Fastness and soiling of silk/PET blend fabric dyed by one bath dyeing method of acid dyes/disperse dyes was same as two bath dyeing method.
