마찰을 고려한 경편기용 정경빔의 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of the Warper Beam Considering Friction)

  • An analysis fur the warping process has been performed to design the warper beam. Nonlinear material response is included in the physical model of polyester yarn. Large deformation finite element simulation considering contact and frictional analysis are used to obtain the pressure on the barrel of the warper beam. Loading condition on the flange is assumed by using the pressure on the barrel, winding number of yarn, Poisson's ratio of fiber, and fiber volume fraction. By using the above loading conditions NASTRAN finite element simulation is performed to calculate stress distribution and deformation of the warper beam. By comparing the deformed shape of the flange with experimental result, loading condition on the flange has been obtained. The obtained loading conditions on the barrel and flange can be utilized to design the warper beam.

  • The fashion industry saw the emergence of environment-friendly and natural fabric materials recently. The naturalism trend has established sectors in the textile and fashion industry also. Ramie and hemp have long been favored fabric materials in Korea especially for summer. The hand-related mechanical/physical properties of the fabric specimens were analyzed using a fabric objective measurement system, KES(Kawabata Evaluation System). Subjective evaluation was also implemented based on a series of selected adjectives. Studies on natural dyeing methods are important since the establishment of scientific approach is needed in terms of environment and human safety along with the reproduction of traditional natural dyeing methods. In this study, linen, ramie, hemp, and cotton/polyester/linen union fabric specimens were used for the natural dyeing using Rubia akane Nakai with the mordant of gallnut. ${\Delta}E$ values of dyed fabric specimens, mordanted and dyed once using Rubia akane Nakai, increased significantly compared to those of repeatedly dyed fabric specimens without mordanting.

적층복합재료구조물의 변형에 미치는 제작조건과 작동조건의 영향에 대한 실험적 고찰 (Experimental Investigation of the Effect of Manufacturing and Working Conditions on the Deformation of Laminated Composite Structures)

  • 섬유강화플라스틱(Fiber-reinforced plastic, FRP)은 복합재료 보트를 만드는 데 주 구조물로 사용되고 그것들 대부분은 몰드에서 만들어진다. 이러한 제품들은 몰드에서 분리될 때나 높은 온도의 환경에서 변형이 생긴다. 그러므로 다양한 제작 및 작동 조건에서 적층복합재료 구조물의 변형에 대한 실험적 조사 및 평가는 필수적이다. 불포화 폴리에스테르수지와 유리섬유를 이용하여 L-shape과 Curve-shape 시편을 제작하였다. 경화제 비율과 제작온도, 네 가지 작동온도가 입력인자(독립변수)로 사용되었고 출력인자는 시편에서 측정되는 변형이다. 결과로부터 경화제 비율이 높을수록 또한 제작온도가 높을수록 변형이 작게 생김을 알 수 있었다. 작동온도가 상승할 때 초기 변형 값에 따라 큰 변화를 보였다. 또한 변형 값이나 입력인자들은 회귀 방정식으로부터 예측할 수 있었다.

2차 접착된 Sandwich 구조의 굽힘에 관한 실험연구 (An Experimental Study on the Bending Behavior of F.R.P. Sandwich Structure with 2nd Reinforced Bonding)

  • 2차 보강 접착을 한 F.R.P. sandwich 보에 대한 굽힘 거동 특성을 실험적으로 연구하였다. 굽힘 실험을 위해 시편의 면재는 chopped mat 300-450, roving clothes 570과 심재는 urethane foam core, resin은 불포화 polyester 713-bp 선박용을 사용하였고 Resin과 Fiber의 비율을 55 대 45로 하여 제작하였다. 이 연구의 주요 목적은 double-strap-joint 로 2차 보강한 샌드위치 보의 정확한 굽힘 거동특성을 알기 위해서이고 2차 보강 접착을 이용한 sandwich 구조의 설계, 유지 및 보수 시의 2차 보강 ply의 두께 및 길이 결정을 제안했다.

소비자 신뢰도를 높인 친환경 인증마크의 등급제 제안 (Improvement of Consumer's Reliability on the Eco Label by Suggestion of Quantifying Rating System)

  • This study measured consumer's recognition, reliability, emotion and images about current eco-marks as well proposed an eco-mark rating scale and mark designs to improve consumer's trust on the fashion product marks. We used a questionnaire survey to collect data from 150 persons about knowledge, interests, and practice on eco fashion products in relation to trustfulness and positive images for three domestic and three international eco-marks. We evaluated and gave eco scores to six fiber-type products (cotton, organic cotton, wool, polyester, biodegradable polyester and nylon) in terms of consumer's use, water & land consumption, waste amount, carbon footprint, and toxicity. We suggested a new 5-level rating scale for eco marks, which quantified the concept of environmental friendliness of fiber products. The design for eco-mark of rating scale showed the total grade with two sub scores of environmental sides and human sides developed with an improved visual understanding for consumers. The design is one through benchmarking the energy-consumption efficiency mark, which is familiar to consumers such as a half circle shape to save environment resources to alarm consumers to environment problems.

시판세제의 세정성과 Rolling-up의 상관성에 관한 연구 (A study on the Correlationship between Detergency of Commercial Detergents and Rolling-up)

  • The purpose of this study was, to estimate the detergency of commercial detergent and to examine the interrelationship between detergency and detergent characteristics, detergent concentration, fiber characteristics, and Rolling-up phenomenon which is the major removal mechanism of oily soil. A mixture of oleic acid-olive oil was used as oily soil. The detergency was estimated by analysis of oleic acid on cotton ana polyester fabrics before and after washing by means of liquid scintillation counting. The Rolling-up of oily soil from PET film was observed and change of contact angle and removal time were measured. The results were as follows ; 1. In the case of soaps and powder synthetic detergents, the optimum concentrations we-re about $0.2\~0.3\%$. And detergencies of liquid synthetic detergents were considerably low, and the detergency was continually increased up with increasing concentration to $0.5\%$, which seemed to be caused by the lower pH than that of soap and powder synthetic deter-gent solutions. 2. As the effect of external or internal fiber structure; the detergency of cotton was lower than that of polyester. 3. In the observation of Rolling-up, the contact angle increased and the Rolling-up time became shorter with increasing detergent concentrations ($0.05\~0.5\%$). And it was confirmed that detergency was increased with Rolling-up effect. In addition, the study on the actual laundry condition was studied using the questionaire. From the results, about $76\%$ of households used the concentration of detergent roughly or excessively and housewives were highly concerned on the recommended dose, but grade of practice were very low.

의류제품의 세탁조건과 지속가능성: 세탁온도와 세탁시간을 중심으로 (Sustainability of Textile Products based on Washing Conditions: Focusing on the washing temperature and washing time)

  • The use stage of a textile product impacts sustainability more significantly than other stages of the product's life cycle due to repeated washing and drying. This study determines efficient washing conditions, with high detergency, to reduce energy consumption from excessive washing and improve the washing process sustainability. Detergency was measured at various washing temperatures ($20^{\circ}C$, $40^{\circ}C$, and $60^{\circ}C$) and time (10 min, 20 min, and 30 min) using standardized soiled fabrics, i.e., 100% cotton, polyester/cotton (65%/35%), and 100% polyester woven fabric soiled with pigment/sebum, carbon black/mineral oil, soot/mineral oil, cocoa, blood, and red wine. Detergency at the washing condition of $20^{\circ}C$ and 30 min was higher than that at $40^{\circ}C$ and 10 min. In addition, detergency at the condition of $40^{\circ}C$ and 30 min was also higher than that at $60^{\circ}C$ and 10 minutes. This may be because a reduced washing effect at low washing temperatures was complemented by increased mechanical action over a long time. Further, washing temperature and time, with the same detergency, differed based on the type of fiber and soil. Also, the influence of a detergent on the detergency depends on the type of soil. The results suggest that energy and detergent have been consumed more than necessary in actual laundry. According to each type of fiber and soil, washing conditions designed to reduce the energy consumption of the washing process while maintaining the same detergency, were determined.

캐티온염료를 이용한 Silk/Cationic Dyeable Polyester 혼합사의 염색거동 (Dyeing Behavior of Silk/CDP Mixed Filament with a Cationic Dye)

  • Silk/CDP 혼합사의 염색거동을 살펴보기 위하여 pH, 염색온도, 조제 등 염색조건을 변화시켜가면서 고찰한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1. 견섬유는 염욕의 pH가 증가함에 따라 일계 pH까지 염착량이 증가하는 경향을 나타냈으나 CDP 섬유는 pH에 따른 염착량의 변화가 거의 나타나지 않았다. 염색온도의 염착거동에 대한 영향은 염색온도가 증가하면 초기염착속도는 증가하는 반면 최종 염착량은 줄어드는 일반적인 경향을 나타내었다. 특히 CDP섬유의 경우 유리전이온도 이하에서도 염착속도가 상당히 느린 결과를 보였다. 2. Carrier를 사용하여 silk/CDP 혼합사를 염색하는 경우 염욕의 pH 및 염색온도에 따라 각 component에의 염료 흡착 및 탈착거동, 염착량 변화 등이 차이가 나는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 carrier가 없는 경우에는 CDP component에는 거의 염착이 이루어지지 않았다. 3. Silk/CDP 혼합사의 염색시에 나타나는 이염현상은 carrier의 존재하에서 CDP component의 구조 이완에 따라 염착능력이 증대되고 염욕의 평형이 깨어지면서 silk component의 탈착과 동시에 친화력이 큰 CDP component,쪽으로 염료이동이 일어나는 것으로 나타났다.

철도차량 내장재료용 페놀수지의 내열특성 (Fire Characteristics of Phenolic Resin for Interial Materials of Passenger Train)

  • 철도차량의 내장재료로 사용되는 페놀수지의 laminate Panel과 sandwich panel의 화재특성을 콘칼로리미터를 이용하여 착화시간, 열방출율과 일산화탄소방출량을 비교, 조사하였다. 또한 기존 철도차량용 내장재료로 사용된 불포화 폴리에스터와 페놀수지와의 화재특성을 비교하였다. 페놀수지의 중량감소 및 열분해능을 DSC & TGA를 이용하여 측정하였다. 콘칼로미터 실험결과 착화시간, 열방출율 및 일산화탄소 생성량은 50kW 복사조건에서 더 높게 나타남을 알 수 있었으며, 동일한 복사열소건 하에서는 sandwich-페놀수지가 laminate-페놀수지보다 더 빨리 착화되었다. 기존 철도차량에 적용되었던 불포화 폴리에스터와 페놀수지와의 비교시험 결과 페놀수치의 화재성능이 발열량 및 일산화탄소 방출 모두에서 우수한 것으로 조사되었다.

폴리에스터 부직포를 이용한 자동차용 흡음재의 흡음특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristic of Sound Absorption of the Polyester Non-Woven Fabrics Used for the Automobile Sound Absorption Material)

  • 폴리에스터를 이용하여 새로운 자동차용 흡음재를 개발하였다. 흡음의 효과를 최대화시키기 위하여 PET 섬유의 크기를 3과 15 denier로 달리하여 3개의 층으로 제작하였으며, 이때 각층의 중량을 조절하여 밀도를 변화시켰다(895~1790 g/$cm^2$). 또한 PET흡음재의 상업성을 알아보기 위하여 시판하고 있는 glass wool로 제조된 흡음재와 비교 분석하였다. 새로운 PET흡음재는 시판되고 있는 glass wool 흡음재보다 저주파와 고주파대역 모두에서 더 우수한 흡음성능을 보여주었다. 또한 PET흡음재의 밀도와 두께가 흡음성능에 중요한 영향이 있으며, 최적화된 PET흡음재는 시판되고 있는 흡음재와 비교하여 NRC (noise reduction coefficient)가 약 22-39% 향상되었다. 따라서 PET는 성능은 물론이고 환경과 재활용혈에서 glass wool을 충분히 대체할 수 있으리라 생각한다.
