This paper explores how international political factors influence the role of conventional external factors in the course of technological learning. The research goes on to investigate whether the role of the techno-economic factors has changed due to the involvement of international political factors in the technological learning mechanism. To this end, this paper examines how US political intervention affected Korean technological learning in the back-end of the nuclear fuel cycle. The export policy, prior consent policy and international political influence of the US are employed as international political factors. The empirical findings show that international political factors are very likely to restrain the impact of the techno-economic factors on technological learning process. Accordingly, this paper hypothesizes that the role of techno-economic factors in the technological learning mechanism is weaker when international political intervention is involved.

This research aimed at studying the factors that influence new media exposure of political news by youths in Isan society in Thailand. The target group comprised 1,200 individuals, obtained from multi-stage sampling from undergraduate students in Isan's autonomous universities, governmental universities, and private institutions. The data collection tool was a questionnaire, the content of which was validated by experts. The reliability of the tool was tested by the formula for Cronbach's alpha coefficient, which yielded a reliability of 0.83. Multiple regression analysis was applied to analyze the data. The results, regarding factors influencing the channels for political news exposure, showed that channels for political news exposure were mostly influenced by inner drives, followed by importance in political news exposure, influence from social networks, and specific characteristics of the Internet. This could explain the variation of channels for political news exposure at 46.5%. In terms of factors influencing political news selection, it was found that political news selection was influenced mostly from social networks, followed by inner drives, benefits from political news exposure, specific characteristics of the Internet, and the field of study. The variation of the political news selection could be explained at 44.6%. These results elaborate on the current situation in Thailand, especially in Isan region, where youths in higher education are playing an increasing role in demonstrating their political stance through various political activities.

정치적 신뢰란 정부가 자신이 기대한 바대로 결과물을 산출하고 있는지에 대한 국민들의 주관적 인식의 결정체라 할 수 있다. 이 연구는 이러한 정치적 신뢰의 내생적(endogenous) 측면과 외생적(exogenous) 측면에 초점을 맞추어 정치적 신뢰가 어떤 요인들에 의해 영향을 받으며 또 어떤 정치적 결과를 만들어 내고 있는지에 대한 이론적 논의를 정리하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 정치적 신뢰의 변화에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 정부정책, 정치인의 비윤리적 행태, 국민들의 참여민주주의적 성향, 정부에 대한 국민들의 왜곡된 이해, 정치문화에 초점을 맞추어 각각의 요인들이 어떻게 정치적 신뢰를 변하게 만드는지 살펴본다. 또한 정부의 통치능력, 선거결과, 정치충원, 정부정책의 방향성의 측면에서 정치적 신뢰가 정치과정에 어떠한 결과를 만들어내는지를 알아본다.

관광 동기나 관광만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인을 주로 분석한 기존 연구들과 달리 본 연구는 방한 중국인 관광객 수에 영향을 미치는 정치적, 경제적, 문화적 요인을 분석하였으며 특히 정치적 요인을 관심변수로 살펴보았다. 실증분석 결과 중국의 정권, 양국 간 회의나 회담 횟수, 양국 정상 간 전화통화 횟수, 한중 FTA(경제적 요인이기도 함)의 발효 등 정치적 요인이 방한 중국인 관광객 수에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 경제와 관련된 정치적 우호성(FTA 발효)은 정치적 분야에서만 우호적인 분위기를 형성하는 요소들보다 더 가시적으로 방한 중국인 관광객에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다. 정치적 요인과 더불어 한중 FTA와 같은 경제적 요인, 그리고 한국화장품으로 대변되는 한류와 같은 문화적 요인도 방한 중국인 관광객 수에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

본 연구는 우리 사회에서 나타나는 정치적 소통 현상에 주목하여 소통 만족에 영향을 미치는 요인을 논의하였다. 정치적 소통의 주요 영향요인으로 개인의 정치적 성향과 미디어 이용을 살펴봄으로써 정치 커뮤니케이션 행위와 정치적 소통 만족도를 평가했다. 전국 16개 시도에 거주하는 만19세 이상 성인 1000명을 대상으로 면접원 설문조사를 실시한 결과, 진보적 정치성향은 온라인 미디어 이용이 많았으며, 개인의 의견을 적극 게재하는 '쓰기/대화'의 정치 커뮤니케이션 행위가 소통 만족에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 보수, 중도적 정치성향은 오프라인 미디어를 주로 이용하였고, 타인의 의견을 살피는 '읽기/시청'의 소극적 정치 커뮤니케이션 행위가 중점적으로 나타났다. 따라서 우리 사회에서 정치적 소통을 원활히 하기 위해서는 시민의 정치적 특성에 대한 이해가 선행되어야 하며, 이에 따른 차별화된 미디어 활용 정치커뮤니케이션이 제고되어야 함을 논의할 수 있었다.

본 연구는 유튜브 정치·시사 채널의 이용 동기와 정치사회화에 관한 연구이다. 유튜브 정치·시사 채널의 정치 정보 습득을 이용과 충족 이론의 관점에서 살펴보았고, 이후 정치사회화의 인지-태도-행동 변인들에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 서울에 거주하는 20~50대 성인 남녀를 대상으로 정량 온라인조사를 진행하였다. 유튜브 정치·시사 채널의 이용 동기로는 '정치풍자의 오락성', '심리적 안정', '매체 편리성', '정보 추구'의 4개 요인이 관찰되었다. 정치사회화에 미치는 영향은 경로 분석을 진행하여 검증하였다. 유튜브 이용 동기 중 '매체 편리성'과 '정보 추구' 동기가 정치 지식 습득에 긍정적 영향을 미쳤다. 그리고 정치 지식은 정치 관심과 정치효능감 증가에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤다. 정치 관심은 정치효능감 증가에 영향을 미쳤고, 정치효능감은 정치 참여에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 도출된 연구결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 이론적 함의와 실무적 함의를 각각 토론하였다.

Purpose: This study aimed to assess the factors influencing the political participation of nursing students who, as they become future leaders in the nursing field, will need to increase their participation in health policy decisions. Methods: Data were collected using web-based questionnaires answered by 157 nursing students between March 13 and 27, 2023. Those data were analyzed using t-test, a one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and a multiple linear regression. Results: The average score of political participation was 2.77±0.70 out of 5 points. Political participation showed positive correlations between political efficacy (r=.48, p<.001) and nursing professionalism (r=.27, p<.001). Furthermore, sex (female) and political efficacy were identified as influencing factors on political participation among nursing students, which explained it with 24.0% power. Conclusion: Providing timely nursing education is necessary for enhancing political efficacy, which could promote political participation among nursing students.

This study investigates the dynamic effects of economic development, international cooperation, electricity consumption, and political risk on the escalation of CO₂ emission in Vietnam. We adopted autoregressive distributed lag model and Granger causality method to examine the interaction between CO₂ and various economic and political factors, including foreign direct investment, trade openness, economic growth, manufacture, electricity consumption, and political risk in Vietnam since the economic revolution in 1986. The findings reflect opposite influence between these factors and the level of CO₂ in the intermediate and long-term durations. Accordingly, foreign direct investment and CO₂ emission have a bidirectional relationship, in which foreign direct investment accelerates short-term CO₂ emission, but reduces it in the long run through an interactive mechanism. Moreover, economic development increases the volume of CO₂ emission in both short and long run. There was also evidence that political risk has a negative effect on the environment. Overall, the findings confirm lasting negative environmental effects of economic growth, trade liberalization, and increased electricity consumption. These factors, with Granger causality, mutually affect the escalation of CO₂ in Vietnam. In order to control the level of CO₂, more efforts are required to improve administrative transparency, attract high-quality foreign investment, and decouple the environment from economic development.

The study aims to reveal the differences in the factors influencing portal news and news site application usages on smartphones in regard to political discussion networks, news use across multiple media platforms and news genre consumption. The results demonstrate that those factors affected both types of application usages in a different manner when controlling for demographics. The more participants conversed politics with homogeneous networks, the more they used portal news on smartphones. Conversely, the more political discussion with heterogeneous networks, the more they used news site application on smartphones. The more frequently Internet and mobile phone were employed for news source and the more soft news genre was consumed, the more the portal news application was used. However, the more frequently traditional and social media were employed for news source and the more hard news consumed, the more news site application was used. The findings imply that portal news application users may increase their likelihood of soft news consumption using Internet and mobile phones for political discussion with close social relations, while news site application users may increase their likelihood of hard news consumption using traditional and social media for political discussion with distant social relations.

Purpose - This paper empirically investigates via a spatial lag model from the perspective of space economy to find the influencing factors of South Korea's OFDI along with 60 countries. Design/methodology - In the study of regional economic phenomena, we must first test the corresponding spatial correlation, and on this basis, complete the construction of the spatial model. For the target research object, after testing the spatial correlation, if there is spatial correlation, a spatial measurement model is needed. This paper uses the global Moran's I index for calculation. Based on the characteristics and research needs of the research object, this paper selects the spatial lag model to verify the existence of the spatial effect and factors affecting OFDI. Findings - Our results show that export scale, infrastructure, technology level, political stability, resource endowment, market size, distance and labor cost have a certain impact on Korea's OFDI, but at present the distance and market size factors are the most important influencing factors for South Korea's OFDI, The technical level and political stability have little effect on South Korea's OFDI, and are not main factors determining South Korea's OFDI. Originality/value - Through spatial measurement verification, it was found that the spatial effect has a significant impact on OFDI, along with more than 60 countries. On this basis, relevant suggestions are put forward, which have strong practical significance for South Korea's OFDI to achieve healthy and sustainable development.
