Purpose: The purpose of this study is to assess the result of conservative treatment in displaced radial head fracture. Materials and Methods: We analyzed 15 cases of displaced radial head fracture who were treated conservatively from April 1992 to May 2002. Follow-up period was more than 1 year. They were all males and the average age of patients was 20.2($11{\sim}24$) years. The average follow-up period was 13.4($12{\sim}15$) months. They were able to do active pronation and supination more than 70 degrees initially, who were applied long arm splint less than 1 week. The functional rating index modified after B.F. Morrey and no further displacement and union state of fragment in simple X-ray were used in follow-up assessment. Results: On the basis of the functional rating index modified after B.F. Morrey that included elements of pain, motion, strength, and stability, the results were 8 excellent, 7 good in patients who were treated conservatively, who had union and no further displacement of fragment in follow-up. Conclusion: We conclude that if they are able to do active pronation and supination more than 70 degrees initially, we take them to do early range of motion exercise after subsiding swelling, which can restrict limitation of range of motion exercise and return to the living early.

Objectives: Police officers may be at a greater risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD) than the general population due to their highstress occupation. This study evaluated how an educational program based on the health belief model (HBM) may protect police officers from developing CVD. Methods: In this single-group experimental study, 58 police officers in Iran participated in a 5-week intervention based on HBM principles. Outcomes included changes in scores on an HBM scale, time spent on moderate to vigorous physical activity (International Physical Activity Questionnaire), body mass index (BMI), blood lipid profile, blood glucose, and blood pressure. The intervention consisted of 5 HBM-based educational sessions. Follow-up was conducted at 3 months post-intervention. The paired t-test was used to examine differences between baseline and follow-up scores. Results: All aspects of the HBM scale improved between baseline and follow-up (p<0.05), except the cues to action subscale. Self-efficacy and preventive behaviors improved the most. BMI decreased from 26.7±2.9 kg/㎡ at baseline to 25.8±2.4 kg/㎡ at follow-up. All components of the lipid profile, including triglycerides, cholesterol, high-density lipoprotein, and low-density lipoprotein, showed significant improvements post-intervention. Blood glucose and blood pressure also decreased, but not significantly. Nearly 25% of participants who were not physically active at baseline increased their physical activity above or beyond the healthy threshold. Conclusions: A relatively brief educational intervention based on HBM principles led to a significant improvement in CVD risk factors among police officers. Further research is needed to corroborate the effectiveness of this intervention.
Purpose: We evaluated the relationship of prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and obesity indices (weight, body mass index [BMI] and waist circumference [WC]) in Korean middle-aged men. Materials and Methods: From February to September 2013, 1,900 police men under 60 years old who participated in a prostate health screening program were included this cross-sectional study. All subjects underwent clinical examinations including weight, height, BMI, WC, fasting blood sugar, lipid profiles, estimated glomerular filtration rate (GFR), and PSA. Total prostate volume (TPV) was assessed clinically. Spearman correlation and multiple linear regression tests were performed to evaluate the obesity indices and PSA relationships. Results: The mean age was $52.0{\pm}4.7years$, and the mean PSA was $0.97{\pm}0.99ng/mL$. The PSA showed a significant positive correlation with the age (r=0.108, p<0.01), TPV (r=0.349, p<0.01), height (r=-0.052, p<0.05), weight (r=0.186, p<0.05), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (r=0.056, p<0.05), and GFR (r=-0.096, p<0.01). All obesity indices including weight, BMI, and WC showed negative correlations with PSA (beta=-0.013, p<0.001; beta=-0.039, p<0.001; and beta=-0.010, p=0.005; respectively) in age and TPV-adjusted model. Conclusions: Common obesity indices (weight, BMI, and WC) were associated with lower PSA in Korean middle-aged population. Thus, an individual's degree of obesity should be considered when PSA is checked in the first prostate cancer screening of life.

The purpose of this study was to develop and examine the effect of the Health Promotion Education Program for the Auxiliary Police based on the PRECEDE-PROCEED Model. This study was conducted using a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Twenty-five participants were selected by convenience sampling method and assigned to the experimental group, and 26 participants were assigned to the control group. The data were collected from Auxiliary Police officer in D provincial Police Agency. All of participations completed questionnaires about self-efficacy, social support, availability of resources, health promotion behavior, quality of life and received the objective stress test. In addition, the experimental group completed 7 sessions of health promotion Education programs according to PRECEDE-PROCEED model for 5 weeks. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/WIN 21.0 Program. There was significant differences over time between the groups in terms of health promotion behavior (F=7.63, p<.001), autonomic nervous activity (F=29.24, p<.001), stress resistance (F=31.22, p<.001), stress index (F=22.42, p<.001), fatigue (F=12.87, p<.001), and quality of life (F=3.49, p=.042). The results may be crucial to develop strategy in order to decrease the disease prevalence as well as increase the participants' overall quality of life. As a result, the Health Promotion Education Program for the auxiliary police was proved to be an effective intervention in order to improve the quality of life. Therefore, the program may be a useful intervention for the auxiliary police.

This paper develops a risk index based on an indicator of risk assessment in terms of coastal activity location and accident type. The risk index is derived from a formula which adds the consequence of failure to a vulnerability value, then subtracts the mitigation value. Specifically, the consequence of failure is the number of casualties in coastal activity locations. An indicator of vulnerability refers to coastal environment elements and social elements. A pointer of mitigation includes managerial and organizational elements that indicate the capabilities of coastal activities. A risk rating of coastal activity location is found from a risk matrix consisting of the accident location and type. The purpose of this study is to prevent accidents at coastal activity locations by allowing the Coastal police guard to monitor effectively and inform visitors of potential risks.
This study analyzed a correlation between crime and meteorological changes and discomfort index of Seoul and p resented a prediction expression through the regression analysis. For data used in this study, crime data from Januar y 2008 to December 2012 of Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency and meteorological records and discomfort index recor ded in the Meteorological Agency through the portal sites were used. Based on this data, SPSS 18.0 was used for the regression analysis and the analysis of correlation between crime and meteorological changes and discomfort index and a prediction expression was derived through the analysis and the risk index was shown in 5 steps depending on predicted values obtained through the prediction expression derived. The risk index of 5 steps classified like this is considered to be used as important data for crime prevention activities.
To evaluate the significance of serum $beta_2-microglobulin$ in patients with various liver diseases, serum $\beta_2m$ levels were measured in 44 cases of normal controls, 32 cases of asymptomatic HBsAg carriers and 134 patients with various liver diseases, by radioimmunoassay using Phadebas $Beta_2-micro$ test kits. The following results were obtained: 1) The mean level of serum $\beta_2m$ was $1.39{\pm}0.25mg/l(Mean{\pm}S.D.)$ in normal controls ($1.39{\pm}0.23mg/l$ in 24 males, $1.38{\pm}0.27mg/l$ in 20 females). 2) The serum levels of $\beta_2m$ in patients with various liver diseases and asymptomatic HBsAg carriers were as follows; $1.40{\pm}0.27mg/l$ in asymptomatic HBsAg carriers, $2.42{\pm}0.37mg/l$ in 45 patients with acute viral hepatitis, $2.10{\pm}0.26mg/l$ in 46 patients with chronic persistent hepatitis, $2.60{\pm}0.34mg/l$ in 23 patients with chronic active hepatitis, and $2.60{\pm}0.49mg/l$ in 20 patients with liver cirrhosis. Serum $\beta_2m$ levels of each disease group were significantly higher than that of normal controls(p<0.001). 3) There was significant correlation between the levels of serum $\beta_2m$ and the degrees of lymphocytic infiltration in patients with chronic active hepatitis(p<0.001). 4) Significant correlations were observed between the levels of serum $beta_2-microglobulin$ and serum alanine aminotransferase(r=0.68, p<0.05) and bilirubin(r=0.63, p<0.05) in 15 patients with acute viral hepatitis. In conclusion, the serum $beta_2-microglobulin$ levels were increased in patients with various liver diseases, and it may serve as a new index of liver disease activity.
Previous findings on Organizational Citizenship Behaviors is a useful index for effectiveness of the organization. Also, it is a factor that explains the relation between its member's attitude and behavior as organizational commitment had been stabilized. Since autonomy and rapidity has become more important in increasing the efficiency of the organization, this means Organizational Citizenship Behaviors has become important in it. Organizational Citizenship Behaviors of the members occurs only when discretion and autonomy are given to its members. Therefore, this study aimed at measuring the effects of police officer's personal dispositions on organizational citizenship behaviors, exploring the moderation effect of organization culture, and providing the basis with implications to promote the Organizational Citizenship Behaviors in the police Organization. By reviewing previous finding, Police Officer's Personal Dispositions were selected as independent variables, Organizational Citizenship Behaviors was selected as dependent variable. and Organizational Culture was selected as moderation variable. The result of analysis showed that The belief & The Norm influenced in Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(positive), and The Value in Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(negative). And The moderation effect was tested: The Value${\rightarrow}$Hierarchical Culture${\rightarrow}$Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(negative), The belief${\rightarrow}$Rational Culture${\rightarrow}$Organizational Citizenship Behaviors(negative)
Background: Lead (Pb) exposure in shooting ranges has been reduced by various measures such as jacketed ammunition and lead-free primers. Nevertheless, this may lead to exposure to other metals, potentially resulting in adverse health effects. Methods: In a cross-sectional study, 35 subjects from seven different shooting ranges were studied: four shooting instructors, 10 police officers, 15 Special Forces, and six maintenance staff members. Metals and metalloids were determined in blood and urine by inductively coupled plasma-mass spectrometry. Results: The concentrations of most elements did not differ significantly between groups or compared to reference values, except for Sb and Pt in urine and Pb in blood. Mean values for Sb were considerably higher in urine from the Special Forces ($0.34{\mu}g/L$), the maintenance staff ($0.13{\mu}g/L$), and shooting instructors ($0.32{\mu}g/L$) compared to the police officers before shooting ($0.06{\mu}g/L$) and a Belgian reference value ($0.04{\mu}g/L$). For Pt, the Special Forces showed higher mean urinary concentrations ($0.078{\mu}g/L$) compared to a Belgian reference value (<$0.061{\mu}g/L$). Mean values for blood lead were markedly higher in the Special Forces ($3.9{\mu}g/dL$), maintenance staff ($5.7{\mu}g/dL$), and instructors ($11.7{\mu}g/dL$) compared to police officers ($1.4{\mu}g/dL$). One instructor exceeded the biological exposure index for blood Pb ($38.8{\mu}g/dL$). Conclusion: Since both Pb and Sb were found to be higher in shooting range employees, especially among frequent shooters, it is advisable to provide appropriate protective equipment, education, and medical follow-up for shooting range personnel in addition to careful choice of ammunition.
This study suggests strategies to prevent traffic accidents by utilizing impact factors per each cluster and the typical patterns of 81 cities based on the statistical analysis of the data concerning the TCI which was developed from the partnership of the Traffic Safety Authority and the Green Traffic Movement Corporation in 2002 and 2003. The Principal Component Analysis and Cluster Analysis on impact factors and TCI result in 4 components and 4 clusters. Also as the results of Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis examining the relationship between impact factors and TCI, R2 values of these models show high to all clusters. According to the results, we suggest strategies to prevent traffic accidents per cluster concretely and it is necessary to analyze how effective the invested facilities are in reducing traffic accidents in the future.
