우리나라 경찰은 근대화를 거침으로써 일제식민지 시대의 대륙법계 경찰체제를 거쳐 해방 후 미정 경찰체제를 받아들임으로써 혼재한 상황에서 전란으로 한국의 경찰 정체성을 확립하기보다 체제완성에 집중해온 것이 사실이다. 이후 정치적, 경제적, 사회적 외부 환경이 안정화를 갖춤에 따라 현대사회 경찰활동을 지향하기 위해 내부적 성찰을 통한 경찰활동의 철학 즉, 경찰 정체성이 필요하게 되었다. 그러나 대부분의 경찰 정체성 정립을 위한 접근은 주요 변수를 찾는 것에 치중하여 단계적 계측을 중시해 왔다. 이러한 단적인 계측 연구를 통한 경찰조직의 정체성은 복제(replication)을 수행할 수 없을뿐더러 이상적 정체성을 내재화하는 것에 한계를 가졌었다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 경찰 정체성 확립의 필요성과 접근론의 형성을 논의하기 위해 경찰관이 정체성을 내재화하기 위한 인식으로써 어떠한 수단에 의존하는지와 의존수단에 따른 경찰활동 반영성을 분석하고 결과를 제시하였다.

An independence of investigation authority of police is a long desire of Korean police. This study examines a theoretical dispute of the police and the prosecution, their duties and investigation organization with the subject of an independence of investigation authority in Korean police. The object of this study is to present the problem of investigation system of police and devices of an independence of the police investigation authority.

In recent years, worldwide surveys of Toxoplasma gondii infection in dogs have been reported. However, only limited surveys of T. gondii infection in police dogs have been available, including China. In the present study, we report the seroprevalence of T. gondii in police dogs in Shenyang, northeastern China. Sera from 291 police dogs were examined for T. gondii antibodies with the modified agglutination test (MAT), and 30.9% animals were tested seropositive. The results of the present study indicated a relatively high prevalence of T. gondii infection in police dogs in Shenyang, China.

This study, was conducted to find out the correlation factors of anxiety of the patients during MRI exam on the claustrophobia. This study conducted a survey targeting those korea auxiliary police and combat auxiliary police patients who were admitted to the National Police Hospital over a period from January 2 to December 24, 2013 to investigate their degree of claustrophobia. In study result, sufficient explain before exam was helpful and decrease anxiety. However, they felt more anxious about limited spare, and when the entered a bore. Symptoms of instability and fear were stuffy, sweat, dyspnea, palpitation those are ascending rank of frequency.

Background: This study examines quality of life (QOL) of a sample of police officers in India. The concept of QOL includes well-being, social obligations, relationships of a person, and his association with environment. The study examines the factors on which QOL of police officers depend and their relationships with each other. The issues linked with QOL are important because they directly affect the individual's ability to maintain a healthy lifestyle and affect organizational performance in the long run. This study explores relevant factors that have an impact on the QOL of the employees of police department in India. Method: In this paper, literatures review, ISM, MICMAC, and DEMATEL methodology have established eleven factors that impact the QOL of police officers in India. Mutual relations between factors have been established using the ISM approach to develop a model to represent these relationships. DEMATEL methodologies were used to analyze these factors. Results: Results indicate that "fair compensation, work overload, workplace safety, and job stress" are the top-level factors that affect QOL of police officers. Conclusion: The identification of factors and their mutual relationships that affect QOL are important for police officers and have to be dealt with according to their order of importance. The research model developed in this study shows how the factors of police officers' QOL are interrelated and presents the interrelationships among these factors. A comprehensive model depicting the relationships among these factors has been established, so that the QOL of police officers can be improved.

The purpose of this study is to reveal the process of enactment and revision, the contents of the police uniform system by the Government-General of Joseon, and to examine the relationship between the uniform system and the ruling policies of Imperialist Japan. The research methodology involved document research of official gazettes that published legislation on the police uniform system. Political background was referenced from various preceding studies. The research results are as follows. The Japanese invasion of Korea, in regards to the police, appeared as infiltrations through the three routes of consular police, temporary military police, and inside the Korean police. Each organization had different uniform systems, and after the installation of the Japanese police in 1907, the uniform system of high level officers of the Korea police was changed to the Japanese-style. After the installation of the Government-General of Joseon in 1910, a police uniform system was not enacted until 1918, with the exception being made for police officers due to the military police system. The 'Police Officer Uniform System of the Government-General of Joseon' enacted in 1918 stood out for its golden insignia on solidly colored fabric, which effectively indicated rank, as well as the Japanese flag pattern and the cherry blossom pattern, which symbolized imperialist Japan, on the cap badge and insignia. The 1918 uniform system had many differences from the Japanese system of the time in terms of design, perhaps due to the political autonomy of the governor-general. The 1918 uniform system was completely revised in 1932. This uniform system was modified in various ways. The system was almost identical to the Japanese system at that time. This is the result of Japan's intent to dominate Korea, which involved assimilating Korea into Japan with the purpose of conducting a full-fledged invasion of the continent after the Manchurian Incident.

자치경찰 제도의 도입 목적은 지역여건에 적합한 치안 서비스를 제공하고자 하는 것이다. 그러나 창설 1년을 바로 눈앞에 둔 제주자치경찰은 형식상으로는 지방분권이나 정부개혁의 업적이라고 주장되기도 하나 실제로는 독자적인 자치경찰인지 국가경찰의 보조기관인지 구분이 어렵다는 문제가 제기된다. 따라서 제주자치경찰은 국가경찰과의 업무협약을 통해서 업무와 관할의 범위를 약정할 수밖에 없고, 약정의 결과 그 관할은 제주국제공항과 관광지 등 극히 제한적이다. 또한 제주자치경찰은 산림, 환경 등을 수사하는 특별사법경찰관리로 규정되어 일반범죄에 관한 수사권이 없다. 특별사법경찰관리의 관할범죄에 대해서는 긴급체포권이 인정되지만, 일반형사범에 대해서는 긴급체포권이 인정되지 않는다. 특별사법경찰의 관할범죄에 관한 수사권이 인정되고 "경범죄처벌법"과 "도로교통법"에 의한 통고처분은 할 수 있으나 유치장 운영조차 할 수 없고 즉결심판청구권이 없다. 국가는 자치경찰 사무가 지방사무라는 이유로 자치경찰에 대한 국가예산지원에 소극적이어서 정원으로 책정된 인력을 신규채용하지 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 첫째, 제주 자치경찰 제도가 지역여건에 적합한 치안서비스를 제공할 수 있는 구조적으로 독자적이고 자율적인 자치경찰 제도인가를 자치경찰 이념형을 도출하고 이를 배경으로 하여 제주자치경찰의 실태를 분석해 보고자 한다. 둘째, 2006년 7월 1일 창립된 후 약 1년 동안의 제주자치경찰의 직무수행과 관련된 다양한 실태분석을 통해 미래의 발전모델을 제시해 보고자 한다. 제주자치경찰 발전 모델은 자치경찰 시스템의 이념형을 기준으로 한 구조개혁, 합리적인 수사권 배분, 자치경찰 예산분담의 합리화, 그리고 특별사법경찰 관할 범죄수사기법의 개발과 전문화의 측면에서 접근된다.

이 연구에서는 잉글랜드와 웨일즈의 '2011년 경찰 개혁 및 사회적 책임에 관한 법'과 관련된 최근 경찰 개혁 전략을 평가하였다. 경찰 개혁 전략 중 가장 중요한 변화는 지역치안위원장에게 경찰인력 운용뿐만 아니라 관할 지역의 범죄를 줄이는 책임도 부여하였다는 것이다. 이로 인해 지역치안위원장은 지방 정부 및 지역 안전 파트너십과도 긴밀히 협력해야 하며, 그 전신인 지방경찰위원회보다 보다 많은 임무와 큰 권한을 갖게 되었다. 이 연구는 또한 지역 경찰 지휘관을 대상으로 한 설문 조사를 통해 범죄의 성향과 정도를 평가하고자 하였다. 이 설문 조사는 강력 범죄보다는 사소한 범죄 및 반사회 범죄로 인한 치안수요가 급증한 것을 보여주었다. 지역치안위원장 제도의 도입은 경찰의 우선순위가 대중의 우선순위와 점차 일치하고 있으며, 반사회적 행동이 이제는 일반적 범죄보다 주민들의 삶에 더 큰 영향을 미치고 있다는 것을 의미한다. 그리고 이 연구는 윈저리뷰(Winsor Review) 이후에 경찰 연봉, 연금 및 근무 조건에 대한 변화도 조명하고 있다. 또한, 이러한 변화가 경찰 조직 내에서 경찰관들의 사기와 전문적인 동기에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 현재의 영국 정부 정책으로 인해 점점 더 많은 수의 경험 많은 경찰관들이 경찰 조직을 떠나고 있고, 이로 인해 궁극적으로 전략적 긴급 서비스로서 치안서비스의 장기적인 탄력성이 약해질 수 있다는 점을 논의하였다.

In response to the development of IT technology in the 21st century and the advancement of the public human rights consciousness, it has become necessary to continuously evolve the office environments to support the changes of organizational structure and work methods of the police investigation departments. As a facility standard, continuous researches on standardized design space models and guidelines of the police investigation departments are needed. In respond to the organizational changes for the convenience of the working police investigators and the protection of the human rights of the visiting public, the environmental improvement projects for the office of the investigation department of the police stations are going on since 2014. In this study, analyzation and verification of the 3 cases of pilot projects for the improvement of police investigation departments would be done, based on the policy research project in 2014: 'the standard design direction of police officers for the protection of human rights and benefit of police investigation process.' The purpose of this study is, first of all, the actual situation survey for presenting the standard design space model and guidelines of investigation department of the police department. Secondly, the validation of the spatial model adequacy for for the past 3 years' case study of the police investigation department's environmental improvements by the application of standardized design space models and guidelines. The result of this study would be to enable the more effective police department investigation environment improvement policy by presenting the standard design space models and guidelines of the investigation departments of the police facilities.
