In order to study for corrosion behavior of reinforcing steel with oxidation layer. Experiments were done with various NaCl concentrations and with immersion time in simulated concrete pore solution(SPS) the characteristics of corrosion behavior were measured by polarization resistance method and cyclic potentiodynamic method. reinforcements were coated by epoxy except corrosion without oxidation layer and it also showed two anodic-nose. by the result of potention dynamic test the potential curve shift to low with time and anodic-nose was appeared with 3% NaCl solution after 15 days. By result of cyclic Potentiodynamic test the type of corrosion was different accoding to concentration.

This paper considers corrosion problems in the bolt connection of weathering steel box girder bridge using the external electric type corrosion resistance method which resisted to local corrosion in coated steel surface with contacted air. The weathering steel was created a rust itself in the passive state. but a coated box girder type was easily dew form could be made galvanic cell that accelerated corrosion. so that it was ruled by protection coat with some paint. Therefore, it needed that can be applied the external electric type corrosion resistance method in coated surface. As a result of the test of polarization amount had measured that the weathering steel was higher currents than the general steel by about $5\~10\%$. Therefore. an external electric type corrosion resistance method can be used to protect local corrosion in the coated bolt connection of weathering steel box girders effectively.

Composites of LSCF($La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_{3-\delta}$ and CGO(gadolinium doped ceria) is an efficient candidate cathode material with CGO electrolytes. In this study, LSCF with exact perovskite structure was synthesized by using solid state reaction(SSR) method. The optimized temperature to synthesize $La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_{3-\delta}$ with rhombohedral structure. was $1100^{\circ}C$. The polarization resistance of the LSCF/CGO(50:50 wt.%) was smaller than those of other composite cathodes. The analysis of the EIS data of LSCF/CGO suggests that the diffusion and adsorption-desorption of oxygen can be the key process in the cathodic reaction of SOFC using LSCF/CGO as cathode material.
Perovskites with nominal compositions $Ln_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}CoO_{3-\delta}$ (Ln=Gd, Nd, Pr, Sm, or Yb) were fabricated as cathode materials using a solid-state reaction method for low-temperature operating Solid-Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFCs). X-ray diffraction analysis and microstructure observation for the sintered samples were performed. The ac complex impedance was measured in the temperature range of $600-900^{\circ}C$ in air and fitted with a Solartron ZView program. The crystal structure, microstructure, electrical conductivity, and polarization resistance of $Ln_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}CoO_{3-\delta}$ were characterized systematically.
Pure copper, Cu-1.1wt%Cd and ACSR(Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) have been used as catenary materials of the electric railway system. Since these materials may be exposed to the corrosive environments like polluted air, acid rain and sea water, it is important to investigate the corrosion rates in various corrosive environments. The aqueous corrosion characteristics of catenary materials in aerated acid, neutral and alkali solutions were studied by using immersion corrosion tests, electrochemical measurements and analytical techniques. In order to examine corrosion characteristics according to the dissolved oxygen content, pH, chloride ion concentration ion, and the addition of Cd to Cu, a series of tests such as potentiodynamic polarization, a.c impedance spectroscopy and galvanic corrosion tests were carried out with these materials. Results showed that the addition of Cd to Cu and chloride ion in the solution have an adverse effects on the resistance to corrosion. Additionally, Galvanic currents between Al and steel wires of ACSR were confirmed by using ZRA(zero resistance ammeter) method.

Anodization techniques are widely used in the area of surface treatment of aluminum alloys because of its simplicity, low-cost and good corrosion resistance. In this study, we investigated the relationship between the properties (porosity and thickness) of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) and its corrosion behavior. Aluminum 5052 alloy was anodized in 0.3 M oxalic acid at $0^{\circ}C$. The anodizing of aluminum 5052 was performed at 20 V, 40 V and 60 V for various durations. The corrosion behavior was studied in 3.5 wt % NaCl using potentiodynamic polarization method. Results showed that the pore diameter and thickness increased as voltage and anodization time increased. The relatively thick oxide film revealed a lower corrosion current density and a higher corrosion potential value.

In this study, the cavitation test and electrochemical experiments were conducted for ALBC3(Cu-Al) alloy that has an excellent corrosion resistance and cavitation characteristic in sea water. Based on the ASTMG32 regulation, the cavitation test was performed with the cavitation and cavitation erosion tester using piezoelectric effect. The electrochemical characteristics are evaluated with potentiostatic experiments in activation polarization potential range. As a result, cavitation damage is increased proportionally to temperature and time at $30{\mu}m$ amplitude. It is appeared that acceleration period in weight loss presented over 6 hours under the cavitation environment in sea water. In addition, corrosion damages were observed at the potential range of -3.2~-1.4 V as the result of potensiostatic experiments during 12 hours in activation polarization potential range.

Five slab specimens with predefined cracks are examined to evaluate the corrosion behavior of epoxy-coated bars in chloride contaminated concrete, using linear polarization method. The test specimens were subjected to alternating weekly cycles of ponding in a salt solution and drying for 48 weeks. Test results show that the current density of the specimen of normal steel bars becomes 0.715 ${\mu}A/cm^2$ indicating that the steel bars are in moderate or high corrosion condition. However, the corrosion rates of the specimens with damaged epoxy-coated bars are significantly below 0.1 ${\mu}A/cm^2$ and the bars appears to be in passive condition. The damaged epoxy-coated bars with a corrosion inhibitor of calcium nitrite showed a corrosion rate of 0.110 ${\mu}m/year$ or 56 percents of the corrosion rate of damaged epoxy-coated specimen without such an inhibitor, 0.195 ${\mu}m/year$. However, the corrosion rates of specimens containing the other two corrosion inhibitors, a combination of amines and esters or mixtures of organic alkenyl dicarboxyl acid salts are quite equivalent to the control specimen. The research technique of linear polarization resistance method has proven itself to be useful in measuring corrosion rates of reinforcement in concrete.

As an experimental study on the corrosion behavior of steel materials to which ATMS method using EIS was applied in concrete, immersion of Ca(OH)2 saturated aqueous solution and NaCl aqueous solution simulating the environment inside concrete The corrosion behavior was tested. The equivalent circuit was derived through the analysis of the Nyquist plot, and the interfacial resistance and the polarization resistance of the Ca(OH)2 aqueous solution were compared, and Al ATMS was the best interfacial resistance and Zn ATMS was the best polarization resistance. After burying ATMS steel material of cement mortar, the initial immersion impedance measurement value was the highest in the Zn ATMS test body in the impedance measurement by the immersion time by immersing it in the NaCl aqueous solution. Al ATMS test piece has the highest impedance and is highly reliable. This is because Al, which has a high ionization tendency, is continuously oxidized in a strong alkaline environment to form a film and protect the steel from permeation of chlorine ions.
This study was undertaken to examine the electrochemical corrosion properties of an $Co_{80}Nb_{10}B_{10}$ and $Co_{82}Nb_8B_{10}$ amorphous alloys prepared by melt-spinning method under various conditions. The potentiodynamic polarization responses at various levels of pH (pH 2, pH 7, pH 12) showed that the corrosion current rate of $Co_{80}Nb_{10}B_{10}$ alloy is lower than that of $Co_{82}Nb_8B_{10}$ alloy in all levels of pH, implying the general corrosion resistance of the alloy with higher Nb content is better than that with higher Co content. The pitting potential of $Co_{80}Nb_{10}B_{10}$ alloy was also better than that of $Co_{82}Nb_8B_{10}$, evidenced by the higher pitting potential. Nb is thought to be effective in increasing the protectiveness of the passive film and hence to improve the corrosion resistance of Co-Nb-B alloys.
