The Method of Vanishing Point Estimation in Natural Environment using RANSAC (RANSAC을 이용한 실외 도로 환경의 소실점 예측 방법)

  • This paper proposes a method of automatically predicting the vanishing point for the purpose of detecting the road region from natural images. The proposed method stably detects the vanishing point in the road environment by analyzing the dominant orientation of the image and predicting the vanishing point to be at the position where the feature components of the image are concentrated. For this purpose, in the first stage, the image is partitioned into sub-blocks, an edge sample is selected randomly from within the sub-block, and RANSAC is applied for line fitting in order to analyze the dominant orientation of each sub-block. Once the dominant orientation has been detected for all blocks, we proceed to the second stage and randomly select line samples and apply RANSAC to perform the fitting of the intersection point, then measure the cost of the intersection model arising from each line and we predict the vanishing point to be located at the average point, based on the intersection point model with the highest cost. Lastly, quantitative and qualitative analyses are performed to verify the performance in various situations and prove the efficiency of the proposed algorithm for detecting the vanishing point.

A Study on Shifting of Pivoting Point in accordance with Configuration of Ships (선형에 따른 전심의 이동에 관한 연구)

  • In the restricted sea way such as fair way in harbor, narrow channel etc, the safe ship-handling is a very important problem, which is greatly related with turning ability of ships. It is of great importance that ship-handlers can grasp the position of pivoting point varying with time increase at any moment for relevant steering activities. Mean while, in advanced ship-building countries they study and investigated pivoting point related with turning characteristics, hut their main interest lies in ship design, not in safe ship controlling and maneuvering. In this regards it is the purpose of this paper to provide ship-handlers better under standing of pivoting point location together with turning characteristics and then to help them in safe ship-handling by presenting fact that pivoting points vary according to configuration of ships. The author calculated the variation of pivoting point as per time increase for various type of vessels, based on the hydrodynamic derivatives obtained at test of Davidson Laboratory of Stevens Institutes of Technology , New Jersey, U.S.A. The results were classified and investigated according to the magnitude of block coefficient , length-beam ratio, length-draft ratio, rudder area ratio ete, and undermentioned results were obtained. (1) The trajectory of pivoting point due to variation of rudder angle are all the same at any time, though the magenitude of turning circle are changed variously. (2) The moving of pivoting point is affected by the magnitude of block coefficient, length-beam ratio, length-draft ratio, however the effect by rudder area ratio might be disregarded. (3) In controlling and maneuvering of vessels in harbor, ship-handlers might regard that the pivoting point would be placed on 0.2~0.3L forward from center of gravity at initial stage. (4) The pivoting point of VLCC or container feeder vessels which have block coefficient more than 0.8 and length-beam ratio less than 6.5 are located on or over bow in the steady turning. (5) When a vessel intends to avoid some floating obstruction such as buoy forward around her eourse, the ship-handler might consider that the pivoting point would be close by bow in ballast condition and cloase by center of gravity in full-loaded condition.

  • A turnout serves to switch train from one line to another. The turnout consists of a Point which is switchs the rail to induce direction, and a Crossing which is cross over two line on the plane surface, and a Lead where is middle section in Point to Crossing. Point machine, consists of a turnout, is important facilities in railway signal, that is safety issue relates in derailment of the train. Recently, train delay and accident frequently occurred because of the turnout include in a point machine trouble of electrical and mechanical. So in order to prevent train accident the research is advanced, install of normal and reverse indication lamp in a point machine, development of adherence detector for sensing the status of adhesion between the stock rails and tongue rails etc. In this paper investigates the problem which is connected with a turnout trouble, include in a point machine, occurrence at the time of train accident, and then proposed to the safety system model in order to prevent the train accident in turnout.

Inelastic response of wide flange steel beams curved by symmetrical weak axis bending using two-point loads

  • Point bending is commonly used for cambering and curving steel girders to large radii. In this system, a hydraulic ram or press is used to apply concentrated loads at selected points to obtain the required vertical (cambering) or horizontal (curving) curved profile from induced permanent deformations. This paper derives closed form solutions that relate loads to permanent deformations for horizontally curving wide flange steel beams based on their post-yield response. These solutions are presented in a parametric form to identify the relationship between key variables and their impact on the accuracy of the curving operation. It is shown that point bending could yield parabolic curved profiles that are within 1% of a desired circular curve if the span length to radius of curvature ratio (L / R) is less than 1.5 and the point loads are spaced at one third the beam length. Safe limits are then established on loads, strains and curvatures to avoid damaging the steel section. This leads to optimization of the point bending operation for inducing a circular profile in wide flange steel beams of any size.

  • It is not easy to find the auxiliary line to solve the problem in connection with the circle, where it is the problem finding the central angle or angle at the circumference in a circle. The purpose of the study is to give an aid for this difficulties. The angle at the circumference is closely related to the arc. And so we looked into the problem in connection with the angle at the circumference in point of view of the arc. We have got the following the results. It is not necessary to draw the auxiliary line when solving the problem in connection with the angle at the circumference in point of view of the arc. And we can find the reason to draw the specific auxiliary in point of view of the arc. We hope that the results of research are given aids to a lot of students.

  • Piston slap is not only one of the major sources of noise and vibration in internal combustion engines but also a cause of the deterioration of engine performance. The basic mechanism associated with the piston slap seems to be quite simple but the phenomenon is in fact complicated with regard to many mechanical elements associated, First of all the impact force of piston slap must be identified to estimate engine block surface vibration, In this paper model of collision point is proposed to calculate the impact force when slap surface vibration. In this paper model of collision point is proposed to calculate the impact force when slap occurs. The parameters of the model are estimated by employing the concept of point mobility, . The predicted and experimentally observed vibration results confirm that the proposed method is practically useful.

Multi-point Dieless Forming Technology Using Local Heating Effect (국부가열효과를 활용한 다점성형공정기술)

  • The multi-point dieless forming technology is one of flexible forming technologies that can form 3D curved surfaces of various shapes utilizing a lot of punch arrangements. A new technology that can simultaneously apply high-temperature forming and flexible forming technology by fusing local heating effect to such multi-point dieless forming technology was proposed in the present study. A simple local heating multi-point dieless forming apparatus was fabricated to confirm the applicability of this new technology. This equipment was designed to be used as a heat source by inserting heating cartridges in the head of the multi-point punch. Cartridges were used for all individual punches. Using the manufactured equipment, the time to raise the temperature to the target temperature and the surface temperature of the punch head part in contact with the plate were measured. In addition, forming experiments were carried out according to sheet material temperature (100 ℃, 200 ℃, and 300 ℃) to obtain forming results for each condition. The applicability and feasibility of this technology were confirmed through experimental results.

  • I have come to next conclusions in consequnce of documentary study about medical books of many generations regarding Jung point venesection therapy. 1. Jung point is significant as the beginning of pulse energy flow on meridian, the origin of all meridional pulse energy being located at extrimity terminal, confluence of three yin and three yang, and emergent treatment point. 2. Jung point venesection therapy was much used for the first-aid treatment for acute and thermic disease, and that is the combination of the meaning as of restoration from death and emergent treatment of Jung point and function of openning of orifice, leakage of fever, circulation of blood, remove of edema of venesection therapy. 3. It is very much used for emergency case, five sensory organ disease and CVA, heating shock and so on. Besides that digestive disease, cough, fever with cold, childhood disease, cardiac ache, thoracic disease, numbness of digitus terminal, mental disorder follow that in order. 4. Sosang, Jung point of Arm Greater Yin Lung meridian, is very much used for five sensory organ disease. Sosang is for orbital disease, sangyang for auditory disease, sosang for nasal disease, and sosnag for introitus-throat disease. 5. Ten Jung point is most used for first-aid diseases of CVA, heating shock. 6. Ten Jung point is most used for digestive disease of stomach ache, vomiting, diarrhea, intestinal convulsion. 7. Ten Jung point is most used for cold disease of cough, fever, malaria. 8. Ten Jung point, sosang, kwanchung are much used for childhood disease of acute convulsion and fever. 9. Among Jung point, sosang is most used, 34 times. Next there are Ten Jung point, kwanchung, sangyang, sotaek, jungchung, unbaek, taedon in order. In the order of frequency in use, arm channel is more used than leg channel.

  • Traditionally, Korean Medicine put emphasis on the treatment and health-preserve method that corresponds with circulation of nature. And acupuncture is no exception to this rule. In "Hwangjenaegyeong(黃帝內經)", some chapters present method that is changed according to the seasons. Among the chapters, there are some difference, but we can find a general theory. In spring, Yanggi(陽氣) is coming out but not strong and cannot diffuse. so the Yanggi(陽氣) hang up the middle of outer layer. Therefore, we can take some acupoints around the muscle interspace[分腠] or tiny branches of Meridian[孫絡]. In summer, Yanggi(陽氣) flourish and boil all around of the outer layer. So, we can take some acupunctural points from skin to the yang-meridian. In both fall and winter, five su point[五輸穴] make up almost of point. in fall, yanggi begin convergence. we can remove the Eum-pathogen[陰邪] and help the normal convergence by using Stream point[腧穴], River point[經穴] and Sea point[合穴]. In winter, Eum surround so solidly that the neo Yanggi(陽氣) cannot come out. So, we can break the yin by using Well point[井穴] and make be strong by Spring point[滎穴]. If we Study the method that correspond with the seasonal circulation more, we will be able to treat diseases more minutely.

However. for point of purchase advertising to be considered a part of marketing strategy. its effectiveness can be more clearely analyzed. What is the most appropriate situation to effectively use point of purchase advertising\ulcorner Which category of product is most sensitive to point of purchase advertising\ulcorner Moreover, what is the relationship between point of purchase advertising and impulsive buying\ulcorner These questions will hopefully be addressed in this paper. First of all. before tackling these issues, former research on point of purchase advertising need to be classified. Also we will show how modern technology has been affected point of purchase advertising. Section6 will discuss the relationship between impulsive buying and point of purchase advertising. Finally, successful examples of point of purchase advertising in the U.S. will be introduced to support the conc] usion.
