Objectives : The objectives of this study are to provide the education of communication skills in the class of theories of Korean medical famous physicians and to survey students' perception of the effect. Methods : The class of theories of Korean medical famous physicians was newly designed and was given to students. The results from the questionnaire survey with second year students at department of Korean medicine were applied to the evaluation of study issues. The scale used for this study was the modified version of 'Beyer-Fetzer's Essential Elements of Communication Skills Assessment Sheet', which was developed by researchers in line with the education of Korean medicine. Results : In six (except for 'opening a conversation') out of seven categories, post-test results were more improved than pretest results. In the category of communication skills (a total of 25 questions), post-test results were higher than pretest results in all items. Among them, 13 items were statistically significant. With regard to the question as to how important the class of communication skills is to raise their professionalism as Korean medicine doctor, post-test result was higher than pretest result. Regarding an appropriate education point of time, there were various points in the entire period of curriculum. The appropriateness of teaching-learning method was positively evaluated. In terms of the content helpful for learning, learner-oriented activities was preferred over teacher-oriented lecturing. Conclusions : The communication skills learned in the class of theories of Korean medical famous physicians were effective. Communications skills should be taught constantly in the entire curriculum in order to raise students' professionalism as Korean medicine doctor. In terms of education method, it is desirable to design a class based on students' various activities, rather than lecturing.
This study analyzed problem presenting and solving activities in elementary school mathematics class to enhance insights of teachers in class for providing real meaning of learning. Following research problems were selected to provide basic information for improving to sound student oriented lesson rather than teacher oriented lessons. Protocols were made based on video information of 5th grade elementary school 'Na' level figure and measurement area 3. Congruence of figures, 4. Symmetry of figures, and 6. Areas and weight. Protocols were analyzed with numbering, comment, coding and categorizing processes. This study is an qualitative exploratory research held toward three teachers of 5th grade for problem solving activities analysis in problem presenting method, opportunity to providing method to solve problems and teachers' behavior in problem solving activities. Following conclusions were obtained through this study. First, problem presenting method, opportunity providing method to solve problems and teachers' behavior in problem solving activities were categorized in various types. Second, Effective problem presenting methods for understanding in mathematics problem solving activities are making problem solving method questions or explaining contents of problems. Then the students clearly recognize problems to solve and they can conduct searches and exploratory to solve problems. At this point, the students understood fully what their assignments were and were also able to search for methods to solve the problem. Third, actual opportunity providing method for problem solving is to provide opportunity to present activities results. Then students can experience expressing what they have explored and understood during problem solving activities as well as communications with others. At this point, the students independently completed their assignments, expressed their findings and understandings in the process, and communicated with others. Fourth, in order to direct the teachers' changes in behaviors towards a positive direction, the teacher must be able to firmly establish himself or herself as a teaching figure in order to promote students' independent actions.

The Korean Peninsula is no longer safe from volcanic disasters. Therefore, the Korean government has been developing a spatial information-based system implementation technology since 2014. VDRS (Volcanic Disaster Response System), which is the result of the technology, was implemented in 2016 as Phase I. Since then, phase II implementation technology has been developed for an advanced system reflecting the user's requirements. To advance the system, redesign architecture is essential. This paper examined the redesign application architecture for an advanced VDRS. First, existing application architecture, which was implemented in phase I, was analyzed. Second, the user's requirements for advanced VDRS were analyzed. The analyzed user's requirements were categorized as a transforming service oriented to a business-oriented architecture, improving accuracy, and expanding the spatial range and target disaster. Third, application architecture was redesigned based on gap analysis between the existing architecture and user's requirements. The results of the proposed redesign architecture are presented as the application system structure and description of the application function based on owner's point of view in the enterprise architecture. The results of this paper can be used to derive the application module design and provide a detailed description of the application module based on the designer's point of view. Further research focused on structuring the HW/SW architecture will be required for system implementation.
The road sign is one of street furnitures functioning to guide directions for drivers. The road sign should be employed and designed to help drivers find their destinations easily and accurately. It is obvious that the road sign is one of the main components that enhance efficiency and safety of driving environments. The current way of guiding strategy at road signs in Korea is a system for mainly guiding 'points' although a new system guiding 'road names' and 'street numbers' with the introduction of new address system is now being introduced on urban areas. When the regional territory management offices and local governments try to employ current road sign systems, they are supposed to follow the sign regulations which contains standard project processes, selection methods of guiding points, character size and design, and location selection for each road sign. However, the current road sign regulations are very complex to understand and unclear for a person in charge to do tasks described above. Especially, selection process and criteria of guiding points are cumbersome and controversial. Furthermore, non sufficient ways of selecting guiding points considering road functions and geographic characteristics decrease the connectivity of guiding points. This study develops enhanced ways of increasing connectivity of successive guiding points through three case studies. Developed ways will help highway agencies and officials understand how to improve the connectivity of road signs.
The rapid detection of bacteria in the oral cavity, its species identification, and bacterial count determination are important to diagnose oral diseases caused by pathogenic bacteria. The existing clinical microbial diagnosis methods are time-consuming as they involve observing patients' samples under a microscope or culturing and confirming bacteria using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) kits, making the process complex. Therefore, it is required to analyze the development status of substances and systems that can rapidly detect and analyze pathogenic microorganisms in the oral cavity. With research advancements, a close relationship between oral and systemic diseases has been identified, making it crucial to identify the changes in the oral cavity bacterial composition. Additionally, an early and accurate diagnosis is essential for better prognosis in periodontal disease. However, most periodontal disease-causing pathogens are anaerobic bacteria, which are difficult to identify using conventional bacterial culture methods. Further, the existing PCR method takes a long time to detect and involves complicated stages. Therefore, to address these challenges, the concept of point-of-care (PoC) has emerged, leading to the study and implementation of various chair-side test methods. This study aims to investigate the different PoC diagnostic methods introduced thus far for identifying pathogenic microorganisms in the oral cavity. These are classified into three categories: 1) microbiological tests, 2) microchemical tests, and 3) genetic tests. The microbiological tests are used to determine the presence or absence of representative causative bacteria of periodontal diseases, such as A. actinomycetemcomitans, P. gingivalis, P. intermedia, and T. denticola. However, the quantitative analysis remains impossible, and detecting pathogens other than the specific ones is challenging. The microchemical tests determine the activity of inflammation or disease by measuring the levels of biomarkers present in the oral cavity. Although this diagnostic method is based on increase in the specific biomarkers proportional to inflammation or disease progression in the oral cavity, its commercialization is limited due to low sensitivity and specificity. The genetic tests are based on the concept that differences in disease vulnerability and treatment response are caused by the patient's DNA predisposition. Specifically, the IL-1 gene is used in such tests. PoC diagnostic methods developed to date serve as supplementary diagnostic methods and tools for patient education, in addition to existing diagnostic methods, although they have limitations in diagnosing oral diseases alone. Research on various PoC test methods that can analyze and manage the oral cavity bacterial composition is expected to become more active, aligning with the shift from treatment-oriented to prevention-oriented approaches in healthcare.

This descriptive study was conducted to determine the influence of stress coping styles of nursing students on problem solving ability. Data were collected from 142 nursing students in the M-area from September 20, 2016, to November 30 and analyzed using SPSS WIN 21.0. The average degree of stress coping styles was 3.36±.30 (5 point-scale), problem solving abilities was 3.42±.38 (5 point-scale). Among the subdomains of stress coping styles, problem focusing was highest, with a score of 3.60±.42. Additionally, among the subdomains of problem solving ability, clarification was highest, with a score of 3.50±.51. The problem solving abilities of nursing students showed a positive correlation with stress coping styles (r=0.53, p<.001) and was positively correlated with problem focusing (r=0.66, p<.001), positive point of view (r=0.53, p<.001), and social support navigation (r=0.42, p<.001). In addition, the factor with the greatest effect among subdomains of stress coping styles was problem focusing (β=0.416, p<.001) and positive point of view (β=0.257, p=.002). These two factors were found to explain 54.3% of the variance in problem solving ability. Therefore, the results of this study indicate that application of teaching-learning methods has the potential to improve students' problem-solving ability through problem-oriented and positive stress coping behavior.

Public transportation ridership and walkability of urban district can be enhanced through high quality of TOD(Transit Oriented Development) elements. Generally, TOD have been evaluated several physical components such as the diversity of land use pattern, accessibility of public transportation and aspects of urban design around the station area. Especially, Spatial characteristics of TOD planning elements have many potential dependent when considering the characteristics of Rail Station-Influenced Area Development which is performing around subway station. Therefore, researchers should be considering the variation of spatial properties for planning elements according the set of spatial area and their socioeconomic factors. However, existing many cases related TOD does not consider about this point. In this paper, the changes of TOD characteristics were analyzed by different spatial units surrounding subway station in Busan Metropolitan City. Multiple Regression Analysis was performed for an investigation of effective spatial unit of TOD planning elements in this area using subway ridership data. In addition, the application validity of socioeconomic variables was examined through a comparative analysis of regression results with the multiple regression that implied only physical TOD elements. As the result, the variation of spatial properties for TOD planning elements according to the set of spatial unit was found. Furthermore, the specific spatial unit to applicable TOD elements in this area was derived. And the multiple regression model which added socioeconomic variables was derived more improved estimate results than the multiple regression model that implied only physical TOD elements.

Some infrastructure these days is usually constructed under the ground for it to not interfere the foot-traffic of pedestrians, and thus, it is difficult to visually confirm the accurate location of the site where the establishments must be buried. These technical difficulties increase the magnitude of the problems that could arise from over-reliance on the experience of the worker or a mere blueprint. Such problems include exposure to flood and collapse. This paper proposes a constructor-oriented visualization system via mobile gadgets in general construction sites with occluded structures. This proposal is consisted with three stages. First, "Stage of detecting manhole and extracting features" detects and extracts the basis point of occluded structures which is unoccluded manhole. Next, "Stage of tracking features" tracks down the extracted features in the previous stage. Lastly, "Stage of visualizing occluded constructions" analyzes and synthesizes the GPS data and 3D objects obtained from mobile gadgets in the previous stages. This proposal implemented ideal method through parallel analysis of manhole detection, feature extraction, and tracking techniques in indoor environment, and confirmed the possibility through occluded water-pipe augmentation in real environment. Also, it offers a practical constructor-oriented environment derived from the augmented 3D results of occluded water-pipings.
This study attempted to analyze the distribution of stress, to examine the bending effect in the mandible according to the pulling directions and determine on which pulling directions are adequate when an orthopedic force was applied to the mandible. An orthopedic force, 500gm, was applied to the gnathion, one point of the chin area, in three directions. The three directions were ; high puli' from gnathion to the center of condyle head, and vertical pull, from gnathion to a parallel line with the posterior border of the ramus, and medium pull, from the gnathion to a parallel line with the lower border of mandible. The distribution of principal stress, bending moment and amount of displacement within the mandible was analyzed by a 3-dimensional finite element method and that of the various portions of mandible were computed and compared according to the pulling directions. The results were as follows : 1. The bending moment of each part of a mandible has been found to be markedly larger in case of vertical pull than in case of either high pull or medium pull. In vertical pull the bending moment turned out to largest at the condyle head and neck portion, the gonial angle portion, the coronoid portion and the ascending ramus portion, respectively, while comparatively large at the cuspid and bicuspid portion and the first molar portion. In case of high pull it was largest at the gonial angle portion and becoming smaller at the coronoid portion, the ascending ramus portion, the condyle head and neck portion, and the cuspid and bicuspid portion, in that order. In case of medium pull, however, the bending moment was largest at the condyle head and neck portion, becoming smaller at the first molar portion, the ascending ramus portion, the coronoid portion, the cuspid and bicuspid portion, and gonial angle portion, in that order. 2. As for the bending effect it was calculated to be mostly oriented downward at the mandibular body and backward at the mandibular ramus in both high pull and vertical pull. In case of medium pull it was oriented upward at the mandibular body and forward at the mandibular ramus. 3. The bending effect also turned out to be mostly oriented outward in case of high pull and medium pull, and inward in vertical pull. 4. At the mandibular body and ramus, the bending effect in the upward-downward direction and that in the forward-backward direction were found to be larger than in the inward-outward direction. 5. If and when we expect any correcting effect on the mandibular protrusion by means of the chin cup appliance, we can say sure as conclusion that high pull and vertical pull are more effective than medium pull.

These new aspects of internet related crimes are defusing into domains of traditional crimes. Nevertheless to follow and punish the acts on the internet is not technically easy, and as it is emerging international shape, to settle it by international law is not that easy. Harmful acts in the information-oriented society are very diverse in kinds and aspects, and it is difficult to enumerate. The point is that among the new acts in the information-oriented society we should decide which acts are to be punished and which acts are not to be punished. It is needless to say that the criminal law should be the last resort. But owing to the characters of the characteristics of the information-oriented society, when the traditional standards can be applied, the question of what is the basis and how it can be applied in a concrete way is not settled. And if it cannot be applied, how can we make new standard is also an unsettled question.
