This study takes a close look at the recent success of independent documentaries to find its implications and a way to invigorate Korean documentary ecosystems. To this aim, this study performed in-depth interviews with independent documentary film makers and television documentary directors. Also, it analyzed the case of POV (Point Of View), which is television's longest-running showcase for independent documentary films in the USA. The results display that independent documentaries convey competitive edge of contents and expansion of distribution and funding through film industry systems, based on the producer systems, global distribution networks of overseas pitching and film festivals, marketing and audience strategy of film industry. Although this shows its molding of documentary industry ecosystems, there are great needs for various platforms other than film industrial outlet in order to make an advancement of the ecosystems under the digital environment. POV works on the basis of 'open sourcing' form when collaborating with independent film makers. Independent documentaries picked up by POV are aired on PBS, streamed via its online service, and distributed through community screenings; this three-outlet strategy makes POV a unique platform and has a relevance and feasibility to apply for Korean documentary ecosystems. Therefore, this study suggests to create a platform adopting POV system hoping that more studies and efforts would come for various and novel platform building so to make more advanced and invigorated ecosystems of Korean documentary.

The present study was directed to investigate the antioxidative effects of onion and mustard powder extracts on fish oil. The oxidative changes of sardine oil with and without onion and mustard powder extract were estimated by measuring peroxide value (POV), thiobarbituric acid (TBA) value, weighing method, acid value (AV) and fatty acid composition, periodically. The results obtained are summarized as follows ; From view point of POV, fat soluble fraction of onion and mustard powder showed much inhibitory effect on the oxidation of sardine oil, marked induction period to be prolonged about 18 and 20 days, respectively. But the POV in fat soluble fraction of mustard powder increased remarkably in the early stage of storage, so it did not show inhibitory effect on the oxidation of sardine oil. In the TBA value of sardine oil during storage, the water soluble fraction of onion and mustard powder were more slowly increased than other fractions. The weighing change of sardine oil, contained in the water soluble fraction of mustard powder, was slower than other fractions, marking $0.5\%$ of weight gain during 30 day storage. On the other hand water and $80\%$ ethanol soluble fractions of onion were marked $2.3\%\;and\;5.8\%$ of weight gain during 30 day storage. In the oxidative degradation of docosahexaenoic acid, water soluble fractions of mustard powder and onion extracts showed the strongest inhiditory effect.

This paper aims to study whether the perspective of the character controlled by a player can affect the player on her moral decision. To this end we designed and developed Castaway, an interactive story using Unity3D game engine. The main story plot of Castaway is based on the trial 'R v Dudley and Stephens (also known as mignonette 1884) which occurred at 1884 in U.K. In Castaway, the player can choose either the accused or the victim, and then play the interactive story with the perspective of the chosen character. To investigate the relationship between the player's empathy to the player character and player's moral decision, we conducted a small-scale (n=10) pilot study. Results of the pilot study have shown that different perspectives can influence the player on her empathy to player character and her moral decision. In near future we plan to conduct a main study with more participants.
