잡음을 갖는 물체의 크기불변인식을 위한 광 웨이브렛 POfSDF-FSJTC (Optical Wavelet POfSDF-FSJTC for Scale Invariant Pattern Recognition with Noise)

  • 본 논문에서는 크기 불변 패턴인식을 위하여 광 웨이브렛 PO-fSDF(WPOfSDF) 필터 및 개선된 필터 합성알고리듬을 제안하였다. 제안한 필터는 크기가 변화된 영상을 학습영상으로 사용하여 PO-fSDF로 합성한 후 입력을 위한 웨이브렛 함수를 필터에 곱하여 합성한다. 컴퓨터 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 필터가 크기불변 인식을 할 수 있고, 잡음을 가지는 입력영상의 경우 SNR이 개선되며 필터합성시 반복횟수도 줄어듦을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 광실험시 발생하는 광축정렬 문제는 전체 시스템을 FSJTC로 구성함으로써 해결하였다.

Anion Recognition by a Simple Colorimetric Benzthiazole-Based Receptor

  • A simple colorimetric anion chemosensor based on 2-amino-6-nitrobenzothiazole was synthesized. The addition of tetrabutylammonium (TBA) salts of $F^-,\;{CH_3COO}^-,\;and\;{H_2PO_4}^-$ to the solution of receptor 3 caused dramatic and clearly observable color changes from light to dark yellow due to the deprotonation process which is totally different from previously reported receptors based on the same motif. According to the basicity of the anions, the sensitivity of receptor 3 towards various anions decreased in the following order: ${CH_3COO}^-\;>\;F^-\;>\;{H_2PO_4}^-$.

영양염류의 유입농도와 수리학적 체류시간에 따른 달뿌리풀(Phragmites japonica Steudel)의 질소와 인 제거능 (Effects of Nutrient Concentration and Hydraulic Retention Time on the Removal of N and P by Phragmites japonica Steudel)

  • 영양염류의 농도와 수리학적체류시간에 따른 달뿌리풀의 질소ㆍ인 흡수 실험 결과로서 NH$_4$-N, NO$_3$-N, PO$_4$-P의 흡수량은 각각 체류시간에 따라 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며(F=44.93, 95.52, 12.70, P<0.01)또한 농도에 따라서도 유의한 영향을 미쳤던 것으로 나타났다(F=1381.69, 3599.38. 1857.57, P<0.01). 유입농도와 체류시간에 따른 흡수량이 예측되었고, 흡수량은 저농도에서 고농도로 갈수록, 체류시간이 짧을수록 높아지는 경향을 보였다. 사기막천의 달뿌리풀의 평균 현존식생량 335.9 g/$m^2$, 평균 수질농도 0.308 NH$_4$-N, 1.461 NO$_3$-N, 0.348 PO$_4$-P mg/L, 체류시 간 1일~ 5일 범위에서 1 $m^2$ 1일 기준의 흡수량이 각각 7.31~20.15 NH$_4$-N, 31.15~95.84 NO$_3$-N, 4.09~11.48 PO$_4$-P mg/$m^2$/day로 추정되었고, 본 실험결과로서 달뿌리풀의 하천수질개선의 효과는 비교적 고농도의 질소.인 농도와 짧은 체류시간에서도 높을 것으로 예측되었다.

The Vertical Fluxes of Particles and Radionuclides in the East Sea

  • In order to measure the vertical fluxes of particles and reactive radionuclides such as thorium and polonium isotopes, Dunbar-type sediment traps were freely deployed at the Ulleung Basin and in warm and cold water masses around the polar front of the East Sea. We estimated the ratios of the catched (F) to the predicted $^234$Th fluxes (P) using natural tracers pair $^234$Th-$^238$U. The F/P ratios are decreased with increasing water depth. Whereas the concentrations of suspended particles are homogeneous in water column, the mass fluxes are also decreased with increasing water depth like the F/P ratios. These facts indicate that organic matters of settling particles are destructed within the euphotic layer due to decomposition. Whereas regenerations of sinking particles are negligible in the cold water mass, about 80% of them are regenerated in the warm water mass during falling of large particles. These downward mass fluxes are closely correlated with their primary productions in euphotic zone. The activities of $^234$Th, $^228$Th and $^210$Po in the sinking material were increased with water depth. Because $^234$Th steadily produced in the water column are cumulatively adsorbed on the surface of sinking particles, vertical $^234$Th fluxes were observed to increase with water depth. Therefore, these sinking particles play important roles in transporting the particle reactive elements like thorium from surface to the deep sea. The scavenging processes including adsorption and settling reactions generate radio-disequilibrium between daughter and parent nuclides in water column. The activity ratios of $^234$Th/$^238$U and $^228$Th/$^228$Ra were observed to be < 1.0 in the surface water and approached to be equilibrium below the thermocline. The extent of the deficiency of daughter nuclides compared to the parents nuclide was highly correlated with the vertical particle flux. Because most of the $^210$Po in the surface water are scavenged on a labile phase and are recycled at sub-surface depths (< 200 m), the $^210$Po are always observed to be excess activities compared to $^226$Ra in surface water.

Fabrication of Ni-Mo-based Electrocatalysts by Modified Zn Phosphating for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

  • The preparation of low-cost, simple, and scalable electrodes is crucial for the commercialization of water electrolyzers for H2 production. Herein, we demonstrate the fabrication of cathodes through Mo-modified Zn phosphating of Ni foam (NiF) for water electrolysis, which has been largely utilized in surface coating industry. In situ growth of electrocatalytically active layers in the hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) was occurred after 1 min of phosphating to form ZnNiMoPi, and subsequent thermal treatment and electrochemical activation resulted in the formation of ZnNiMoPOxHy. ZnNiMoPOxHy exhibited superior HER performance than NiF, primarily because of the increased electrochemically active surface area of ZnNiMoPOxHy compared to that of bare NiF. Although further investigations to improve the intrinsic electrochemical activity toward the HER and detailed mechanistic studies are required, these results suggest that phosphating is a promising coating method and will possibly advance the fabrication procedure of electrodes for water electrolyzers with better practical applications.

Effects of bioflocs on immune responses of Fleshy shrimp, Fenneropenaeus chinensis postlarvae and adults as related to the different feeding abilities

  • The present study compared the structure of mixilliped of Fenneropenaeus chinensis between the larval and adult stage and investigated the effect of the structural difference on the immunity of F. chinensis. A fourteen day and a one-month long culture trial were conducted each with postlarvae and adults of F. chinensis in the biofloc, mixed water (50% biofloc:50% clear seawater) and seawater control. Immune-related genes mRNA expressions of postlarvae was analysed by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). And the analysis of adult stage immunity was carried out using phenoloxidase (PO) enzyme activation in haemocyte. In the postlarvae, the final body weights were 51.43 and 58.47 mg for the biofloc water and the control seawater, respectively. On the other hand, the final body weights of the adults were significantly different between biofloc water and seawater. The survival rate showed the opposite trend to the growth rate. Immune related genes mRNA expression levels in the postlarvae in the biofloc water were significantly lower than those in the seawater. While, the adult stage showed significantly higher PO enzyme activations in the biofloc water than in the seawater with the PO enzyme activation increasing proportionally to the biofloc concentration. This result is considerably explained by the observations of setal morphological structures of the third maxilliped: postlarvae have short serrulated setae that compose the small 'net' structure while adults had long and dense plumose setae. It is understood that the morphological difference of the maxilliped structure resulted in the different feeding abilities in the postlarvae and the adult F. chinensis to use bioflocs as food source.

금속산화물 전극을 사용한 고 에너지밀도 하이브리드 커패시터 특성 (Characteristics of high energy density hybrid capacitor using metal oxide electrode)

  • The electrochemical performances of an asymmetric hybrid capacitor were investigated using $LiFePO_4$ as the positive electrode and active carbon fibers(ACF) as the negative electrode. The electrochemical behaviors of a nonaqueous hybrid capacitor were characterized by constant current charge/discharge test. The specific capacitance using $LiFePO_4$/ACF electrode turned out to be $0.87F/cm^2$ and the unit cell showed excellent cycling performance. This hybrid capacitor was able to deliver a specific energy as high as 178 Wh/kg at a specific power of 1,068 W/kg.

Single-phase Gallium Nitride on Sapphire with buffering AlN layer by Laser-induced CVD

  • The laser-assisted chemical vapor deposition (LCVD) is described, by which the growth of single-phase GaN epitaxy is achieved at lower temperatures. Trimethylgallium (TMG) and ammonia are used as source gases to deposit the epitaxial films of GaN under the irradiation of ArF excimer laser (193 nm). The as-grown deposits are obtained on c-face sapphire surface near 700$^{\circ}$C, which is substantially reduced, relative to the temperatures in conventional thermolytic processes. To overcome the lattice mismatch between c-face sapphire and GaN ad-layer, aluminum nitride(AlN) is predeposited as buffer layer prior to the deposition of GaN. The gas phase interaction is monitored by means of quadrupole mass analyzer (QMA). The stoichiometric deposition is ascertained by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The GaN deposits thus obtained are characterized by X-ray diffractometer (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and van der Pauw method.

알루미늄 다이캐스팅주조에서 용탕 청정도 평가방법

  • 높은 주조 품질을 요구받고 있는 대부분의 다이캐스팅업체들은 양산공정을 통해 사용되고있는 용탕의 청정도를 평가하고 모니터링을 해야만 한다. 여러 가지 평가방법들을 사용할 수 있지만 현장에서는 일부 측정방법만이 다이캐스팅에 적용되고 있으며 목적에 맞게 적절하게 사용하여야 한다. 세 가지 가능한 평가 방법인 K-Mold, 기계적물성 평가 및 PoDFA(다공성 디스크 여과 장치) 를 대상으로 소개하고자 한다. 우선, 각 방법들은 서로 사용 목적 목적에 따라 선택될 수 있으며 K-Mold는 현장에서 빠르고 간단하게 적용할 수 있는 방법으로 일정한 규격화된 시편의 파면을 만들고 파단면 관찰을 통해 일정한 크기 이상의 산화물 갯수를 확인하여 용탕의 품질을 관리하는 편리한 평가방법 중 하나다. 기계적 물성 테스트는 용탕 청결도에 대한 정성적, 정량적 정보를 모두 확인할 수 있으며 샘플링 테스트에 적합한 시험법이라 할 수 있다. 또한, PoDFA는 용탕내에 개재물의 종류별 정밀분석과 양에 대한 상대적 비교 분석으로써 현장의 많은 경험을 통하여 데이터 축적하고 분석하는 방법으로 사용방법에 대한 전문교육이 필요하다.

The development of membranes for high temperature PEMFC

  • We have succeeded in the preparation of high molecular weight polybenzimidazoles by solution polycondensation of 3,3'-diaminobenzidine tetrahydrochloride with isophthalic acid, terephthalic acid, or with their derivatives using polyphosphoric acid both as solvent and as condensing agent. Also, we modified phosphoric acid into fluoroalkyl-phosphonic acids[F-PA]. The main reasons are as follows, first of all F-PAs are stronger acids than PA and alkylphosphonic acids which should promote proton hopping and transport. In addition, F-PA has weaker adsorption onto Pt which help to prevent electrocatalyst poisoning and promote higher oxygen reduction activity. The ionic conductivity of 85%-H3PO4 doped membranes show $10^{-2}\;Scm^{-1}\;to\;3{\times}10^{-2}\;Scm^{-1}\;at\;150^{\circ}C$ MEA with 2 %-added electrolyte shows slightly higher cell voltage than the others.
