공압회로 설계를 위한 소프트웨어의 개발 (Design of a Computer Software for Pneumatic Circuits)

  • A computer software which can draw and analyze pneumatic circuits was developed for the purpose of introducing and educating pneumatic circuits to beginners in this field. The program was developed using Turbo Pascal and Turbo Pascal Graphix Toolbox and could be run on IBM PC, XT, AT and other IBM compatible computers with a Hercules Graphics Board. The program was defeloped to show sequential control characteristics and to show two stages(on and off) of the pneumatic actuators. Users may save much time in drawing complex pneumatic circuits and can also use this software to check whether circuits are property designed before constucting real pneumatic circuits.

공압회로에서 미터인 회로와 미터아웃 회로의 특성 비교 (Characterics of Meter-In / Meter-Out Circuits to pneumatic System)

  • Pneumatic system has been mainly used as main equipment for actuation and control of compressed air force in manufacturing industry, pneumatic circuit for the most part is used in Meter-Out circuit. Meter-Out circuit method is Flow Control Valve to fit in exhaust part of cylinder port. In the reverse, Meter-In circuit is Flow Control Valve to fit in input part of cylinder port. This study examines the dynamic characteristics comparison of Meter-In and Meter-Out Circuits in the pneumatic circuits. The results of the experimental research are obtained to the followings: i ) System Response is Meter-In Circuit more than Meter-Out one before cushion zone. ii) we conjectured that the collision of piston and head cover is ease to collide Meter-In Circuit more than Meter-Out one at the stroke end part.

  • Drawing pneumatic circuits by hand and searching for the error when the circuit is not properly constructed are very difficult. In this paper, a graphic simulation program for drawing and evaluating pneumatic circuit systems was developed. The porgram is menu-driven style and pneumatic circuit can be easily drawn by selecting the pneumatic components from the menus. Simulation of the motion of each pneumatic component and testing of whether the circuit is constructed properly are possible with the software. This program was written in Turbo Pascal and also used the Turbo Graphix Toolbox. The system hardware requires IBM PC, XT, AT or compatibles, and Hercules Card.

공압제어회로 설계 및 제작을 통한 캡스톤 디자인 학습 성취도 향상 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of Capstone Design Learning Achievement through the Design and Fabrication of Pneumatic Control Circuit)

  • 공압제어회로는 4차 산업혁명 시대에 공장 자동화를 구성하는 중요한 기본 요소이며 대학 수준에서 공압제어회로를 설계하고 제작하는 능력을 기르는 것은 매우 중요한 교육과정 중의 하나이다. 본 연구에서는 공압제어회로의 설계 및 제작 과목에 캡스톤 디자인 방법을 적용하기 위해 모둠별 협동학습을 도입하였다. 또한, 학생들의 학습 성취도를 살펴봄으로써 향후 이 결과를 바탕으로 실천공학 교육의 혁신에 기여 하고자 하였다. 공압제어회로 설계 및 제작에서 실험집단에는 모둠별 협동학습을 적용하고 비교집단은 전통적 강의법을 적용하여 해석 능력의 차이를 검정하였다. 모둠별 협동학습을 수행한 실험집단이 전통적인 강의로만 진행된 비교집단보다 학업 능력이 높게 나타났고 유의수준 p<0.05의 t-검정 결과에서도 두 집단간에 유의미한 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 실험집단에는 13개의 설문조사 문항을 4개의 모둠별로 응답하게 하고 그 결과를 분석하였는데, 전체 평균 4.731의 높은 만족도를 나타내었다. 본 연구를 통하여 공압제어회로의 설계 및 제작 교과목은 통상적인 과목으로 운영할 때 보다 캡스톤 디자인 기법을 적용했을 때 학생들의 학습 성취도 향상에 매우 효과적이라는 결론을 얻었으며 향후 캡스톤 디자인의 교육과정 개발에 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

면취 공정의 능동 제어를 위한 공압식 자동 강재 면취기와 센서 시스템의 제작 및 실험 (Fabrication and Experiment of Pneumatic Steel Plate Chamfering Machine and Sensor System for Active Control of Chamfering)

  • With the exception of welding activities, it is forbidden to use electricity in shipyards, owing to safety concerns such as the possibility of fire, explosions, and short circuits. In this paper, an automatic chamfering machine using pneumatics is proposed for use in such environments. Customers specify their requirements and the machine derives the corresponding theoretical design conditions. The proposed machine was used to perform 3D modeling, and its suitability and performance were confirmed via cutting experiments of the manufactured device. Two types of sensors may be used in this system: contact and non-contact. In the case of the contact type, an end-stop switch that can recognize the end of the material is installed, and when the machine reaches the end of the material, the end-stop switch is operated to cut off the air pressure. In the non-contact type, four sensors were used: photonic, ultrasonic, metal detection, and encoder. The use of the four sensors was repeated 30 times, and the average error determined. Thus, the optimum sensor was identified.
