영아 놀이성 척도의 개발 및 타당화 연구 (The Development and Validation of a Playfulness Scale for Infants & Toddlers)

  • In this study, the Infants & Toddlers' Playfulness Scale(ITPS) was developed and its reliability and validity were examined. The participants in this study consisted of 656 parents whose children were 8 to 36 months old. Five factors were identified from the results of the exploratory factor analysis performed on the 29 items that had been derived by analyzing existing research. The Goodness of Fit Indices(GFIs) of the confirmatory factor analyses, performed on the 1st-order 5-factor model and the 2nd-order one factor model, were both satisfactory. Concurrent validity was established by the high correlations of r = .631~.808(p < .01) between each factor of the ITPS and the total score of the Children's Playfulness Scale(CPS), an existing measure for children's playfulness. The reliability of each factor, as measured by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, ranged from .773 to .883. Consequently, the ITPS developed in this study can be seen as a reliable and valid scale that can be used by parents to measure the playfulness of their infants and toddlers in a multi-dimensional manner.

  • Subjects in this study on causal relationships among playfulness, interactive peer play, teacher-child relationships, and creative characteristics were 286 3- to 5-year-old children. Instruments were the Rating Scale for Creative Characteristic of Preschoolers (Lee et al., 2002), Children's Playfulness Scale (Bemett, 1990), Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale (Fantuzzo et al., 1995), and Student Teacher Relationship Scale (Pianta, 1991). Results showed : (1) significant relationships among social spontaneous, cognitive spontaneous and children's humor in sub-areas of children's playfulness, friendliness in sub-areas of teacher-child relationships, play interaction in sub-areas of interactive peer play and creative characteristics. (2) Children's creative characteristics directly influenced social spontaneous, cognitive spontaneous and children's humor in sub-areas of children's playfulness and of play interaction in sub-areas of interactive peer play.

한국판 성인용 놀이성 척도의 타당화 (A Validation of the Korean Version of the Playfulness Scale for Adults)

  • 본 연구에서는 한국 성인의 놀이성을 측정할 수 있는 도구를 만들기 위해 Proyer의 성인의 놀이성 척도(OLIW)를 한국판으로 번안하여 타당화 하였다. 먼저, OLIW를 한국어로 번안하여 총 28 문항의 예비 척도를 구성하였으며, 전국의 성인 남녀 406명을 대상으로 문항분석과 탐색적 요인분석을 실시했다. 원척도의 4요인 중 한 요인인 '지적인 활동을 즐기는'이 빠진 새로운 4요인 구조로 나타났으며, 이를 확인해보기 위해 전국의 성인 남녀 336명을 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시했다. 원척도를 바탕으로 한 3요인 모형과 탐색적 요인분석 결과로 얻어진 4요인 모형을 경쟁 모형으로 두고 확인적 요인 분석을 실시한 결과, 4요인 모형의 적합도가 더 우수한 것으로 나타나 4요인 구조를 확정지었다. 타당도를 검증하기 위해 동일한 개념을 측정하는 APS, SMAP, PSYA와의 상관분석을 진행했으며, NEO 성격검사의 하위 요인 간 상관분석을 실시하였다. APS, SMAP, PSYA와 유의한 정적 상관을 보였으며, NEO 성격검사의 하위 요인들 간의 상관 분석에서도 유사한 패턴을 보였다. 한국판 성인의 놀이성 척도의 총점과 여가 활동의 참여 빈도, 만족도와의 관계를 알아봤으며, 여가 활동의 참여 빈도가 높은 사람이 놀이성 총점도 높았으며, 여가 만족도는 보통을 기준으로 V자 모양으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 토대로 시사점, 의의, 제한점 및 후속 연구에 대한 제언을 논의하였다.

미국 유아원 아동의 미디어 시청과 상상놀이성간의 관계 (The Relationships Between Use of Visual Media and Imaginative Playfulness in American Preschool Children)

  • Ecological predictors of imaginative playfulness were researched to test relationships among preschoolers' individual characteristics, socioeconomic status, their visual media use, and their imaginative playfulness. Data were collected from 202 primary caregivers and head teachers in childcare centers in Michigan, U. S. A. Use of visual media was coded by the program categorization of Anderson et al. (2001) and the Television and Movie Violence Rating Scale (Huesmann et al. 2003). Imaginative playfulness was rated by the adapted Playfulness Scale (Barnett 1990). Results of hierarchical regression showed that child characteristics of age and gender predictors contributed to their imaginative playfulness. On the other hand, children's visual media use and socioeconomic status of their families did not predict their imaginative playfulness.

유아용 놀이성 평정 척도 개발 및 타당화 연구 (The Development and Validity of the Children's Playfulness Rating Scale)

  • This study was conducted in order to develop a Children's Playfulness Rating Scale(CPRS) and to analyze it in terms of item discrimination, validity, and reliability. The participants in this study consisted of 861 parents whose children were aged from three to six years old. The item discrimination, determined by comparing the highest and lowest group using ${\chi}^2$, Cramer's V, was found to be satisfactory. The reliability of factors, as measured by Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, ranged from .85 to .95. The results of factor analysis identified 4 factors and 35 items were then selected from the 45 items in the original scale. The four factors identified were as follows; (1) leading participation (2) cognitive flexibility (3) expression of joy (4) voluntary full immersion. Concurrent validity was also established by using correlations between the CPRS and CPS(Children's Playfulness Scale). In conclusion, these results demonstrated that the Children's Playfulness Rating Scale is both reliable and valid.

유아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 놀이성, 놀이신념과 양육태도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Playfulness, Play Beliefs and Rearing Attitude of Mothers with Young Children)

  • This study investigated the relationships among mothers' playfulness, play beliefs and rearing attitude. The participants were 261 mothers with young children. PSA(Playfulness Scale for Adults), PPBS(Parent Play Beliefs Scale), MBRI(Maternal Behavior Research Instrument) were used to collect the data. The data were analyzed by t-test, Pearson's productive correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows: First, mothers' rearing attitude varied by mothers' age, employment status, and educational level. Second, there were significant correlations among mothers' playfulness, play beliefs, and rearing attitude. Third, mothers' playfulness and play beliefs were reliable predictors of rearing attitude.

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating role of the father's play participation in the relationship between father playfulness and father-child intimacy. Methods: We conducted a survey of 500 fathers with 3~5 years olds attending kindergartens and located in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. Father's Playfulness Scale, Father's Play Participation Scale, and Father-Child Intimacy Scale were used as data measuring tools. The data collected in this study were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 Program. Results: As a result of examining sub-variables of play participation among fathers, it turned out that mediating effects occurred in physical play, role play, and function play. Conclusion/Implications: The results of this study suggest the necessity of developing a father education program to increase the intimacy between father and child as the role of father becomes increasingly important in the age of co-parenting.

유아의 놀이성, 적응, 그리고 문제 행동과의 관계성 연구 (Children's Playfulness in Relation to Preschool Adjustment and Behavior Problems)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between children's playfulness, the degree of preschool adjustment and behavior problems. The subjects were 118 children from 3 child care centers and 5 kindergartens in Kyungbuk province. Children's playfulness was measured through the children's playfulness scale (CPS) and the level of preschool adjustment was measured through the preschool adjustment questionnaire (PAQ). The modified version of Kim's (2000) Preschool Behavior Questionnaire (PBQ), created by Behar and Stringfield (1974) was used to measure the acceptability of children's behaviors. The regression and correlation analysis was performed through the use of SPSS 12, and the findings are as follows. First, there exists a meaningful correlation between the children's playfulness, the degree of preschool adjustment, and the acceptability of behavior problems. Second, the degree of preschool adjustment appears to be a reliable predictor of children's playfulness.

예비유아교사의 놀이성과 놀이교수효능감과의 관계 (A Study of The Relationship Pre-Service Early Childhood Teacher's Playfulness and Play Teaching Efficacy)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 예비유아교사의 놀이성과 놀이교수효능 간의 관계를 알아보는 것이다. 연구대상은 대구 지역 K전문대학 유아교육과에 재학 중인 3학년 145명이다. 연구를 위해서 놀이성과 놀이교수효능감 설문지를 사용하여 검사 하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0프로그램을 사용하여, 빈도분석, 기술통계, 상관분석, 단계적 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 예비유아교사의 놀이성과 놀이교수효능감 모두 보통수준으로 나타났다. 둘째, 예비유아교사의 놀이성과 놀이성은 유의미하게 상관관계가 있었다. 셋째, 예비유아교사의 놀이성이 놀이교수효능감에 미치는 상대적 영향력을 알아본 결과 주로 놀이성의 하위변인 중 쾌활성과 즉흥성이 주로 통계적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

전통놀이를 활용한 초보놀이치료자 치료역량강화 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (The Development and Effectiveness of a Therapy Competency Enhancement Program for Novice Play-therapists Using Traditional Play)

  • The purpose of this study is, first, to develop a Therapy Competency Enhancement Program for Novice Play-therapists Using Traditional Play to enhance therapy Competency and second, to examine the program's effectiveness. The program consists of 10 sessions and each session employs a variety of traditional plays. The Therapeutic relationship Scale and Playfulness Scale were used as a pre-test and post-test respectively. The data were analyzed by the SPSS 18.0 program, which applied the Mann-Whiteney U test and Wilcoxon rank sum test. Twelve novice play therapists participated in ten sessions of the Therapy Competency Enhancement Program, and were compared with the control group of twelve novice play therapists who did not receive treatment. The treatment group statistically showed significant enhancement in therapeutic relationships, and playfulness in comparison to the control group. It was concluded that the Therapy Competency Enhancement Program for Novice Play-therapists Using Traditional Play was effective for enhancing therapeutic relationships and playfulness. This study has significance in its attempt to develop a Therapy Competency Enhancement program to improve the therapeutic relationship, and playfulness of novice play therapists by Traditional Play.
