Impact of user evaluations of website attributes on recommendation intention for revitalizing B2B textile platform (B2B 섬유 플랫폼 활성화를 위한 웹사이트 평가속성이 추천의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study examines options to revitalize a B2B textile trading platform, exploring user satisfaction and perceptions of the importance of several website features. Between June 8 and June 21, 2023, fashion studies majors and domestic fashion brand product planners were asked to use the website of an open B2B textile platform for 30 minutes and then evaluate its features by responding to a survey. The final sample for analysis wad comprised of 150 questionnaires. To analyze the key textile website features, a paired t-test, Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), and multiple regression analysis were utilized. The analysis classified the key textile website features related to user importance and satisfaction into the following categories: convenience, appearance, product information, and uniqueness. An analysis investigation of the differences in importance and satisfaction for each website evaluation attribute found significant differences in 12 attributes. The IPA analysis revealed that attributes such as product reliability, quality, a convenient search function, and convenient page movement are highly important to users and garner high user satisfaction; these findings demonstrate the importance of maintaining these elements. Images on the main screen, the latest trend information, and product prominence attributes also garner high importance ratings, but result in low user satisfaction, which signifies extensive revision is required. Finally, user evaluation of the convenience, appearance, and product information of the website was found to affect user recommendation intention.

  • Purpose Digital platforms, together with the innovative technologies of modern society, are accelerating the digital innovation of the entire economy and society. Although social media platforms are gradually integrated into daily life, due to social media overload, users limit their use of the platform for a certain period of time or eventually choose to stop using it. In the context of social media platform, the purpose of this paper is to study the effects of information overload, social overload and system function overload on users' unintentional avoidance behavior, mediated by fatique and dissatisfaction. Design/methodology/approach This study empirically examines the influence of social media overload characteristics on users' unintentional avoidance behavior of platform utilization using the S-O-R framework. Data from 236 Chinese social media users were collected through a questionnaire survey, and the hypotheses were validated by evaluating the research model using the SmartPLS 4.0 program using Partial Least Square (PLS) method. Findings According to the empirical analysis result, based on the S-O-R model, first, it is confirmed that information overload and system feature overload have significant positive(+) effects on fatigue. Second, this study finds that information overload, social overload and fatigue have significant positive(+) effects on dissatisfaction. Thirdly, fatigue and dissatisfaction have significant positive(+) effects on unintentional avoidance. In addition, social overload has no significant effect on fatigue, while system feature overload has no significant effect on dissatisfaction.

  • COVID pandemic has reshaped the world as it has been known to us and the education system is one of the most affected by it. Due to social distancing, quarantines and isolations have made it impossible for the knowledge transition to the masses using conventional methods. For cope with pandemic, the only other way available for some of the fortunate countries is the use of E-learning having somewhat the same traditional teaching method. This paper is concerned with the study of the preparedness of the learning system in some Sudanese universities due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Critical analysis has been performed to evaluate the current developing scenario, usage of the facilities available in open-source platforms, and the interaction of the universities folks with e-learning systems. The impact of such measures has been thoroughly investigated in this paper for Sudan which is already deprived of a proper education system. The investigation shows that the interact of the staff and the students with the system was acceptable where more than 85% of those enrolled to the system were interact properly and efficiently. The lecturers conducted through the platform were attended with more than 75% of the students. We also found that most of the lecturer were avoid to exam students by utilize the platform; where only 45% of the uploaded courses were conducted exams over Moodle platform. As Moodle is an open source and still need to be improved to be used for high examination credibility.

  • This research, through video-based communication in a social video platform environment, studied the influence of the relationship between a video-watching subject and other watchers to that of the user's positive emotion and sense of community. Based on prior psychological theories called Social Impact Theory and Self-Monitoring Theory, the research built an actual video-based social video platform environment in order to verify an alternative utilizing new means of interaction based on videos. The result shows that under video-watching settings, user feels greater positive emotion and sense of community when the screen shows other people's reaction live and when him or her self's face is shown together, compared to when they are not shown. Also, based on the ANOVA analysis, the percentage of increase in positive emotion was greater when the two conditions mentioned above were provided synchronously compared to when they were not. The result of the research is expected to yield insights about a new form of social video platform.

  • This paper addresses the establishment of a kVA-range plug-in hybrid electrical vehicle (PHEV) integration test platform and associated issues. Advancements in battery and power electronic technology, hybrid vehicles are becoming increasingly dependent on the electrical energy provided by the batteries. Minimal or no support by the internal combustion engine may result in the vehicle being occasionally unable to recharge the batteries during highly dynamic driving that occurs in urban areas. The inability to sustain its own energy source creates a situation where the vehicle must connect to the electrical grid in order to recharge its batteries. The effects of a large penetration of electric vehicles connected into the grid are still relatively unknown. This paper presents a novel methodology that will be utilized to study the effects of PHEV charging at the sub-transmission level. The proposed test platform utilizes the power hardware-in-the-loop (PHIL) concept in conjunction with high-fidelity PHEV energy system simulation models. The battery, in particular, is simulated utilizing a real-time digital simulator ($RTDS^{TM}$) which generates appropriate control commands to a power electronics-based voltage amplifier that interfaces via a LC-LC-type filter to a power grid. In addition, the PHEV impact is evaluated via another power electronic converter controlled through $dSPACE^{TM}$, a rapid control systems prototyping software.

  • The Privacy Impact Assessment, PIPA in Korea refers to the process of analyzing risk factors and identifying improvements that must be carried out by organizations that operate personal information files as stipulated in Article 33 of the Personal Information Protection Act, PIPA and Article 35 of the Enforcement Decree of the PIPA. There are two main limitations of the PIA in Korea. The first limitation is that the targets of the PIA are limited to public institutions and organizations that are legally equivalent to public institutions, and the second limitation is that only organizations with adequate manpower, facilities, and other necessary requirements which are regulated upon the Enforcement Decree of the PIPA can conduct a PIA. This paper proposes to develop a preliminary diagnostic tool that can be performed by private companies, small and medium-sized venture companies, and small businesses in the era of rapidly developing data in recent years and presents an analysis of specific assessment factors. The results of this study are provided in the form of a self-checklist, which is expected to serve as a pre-diagnostic tool for the PIA that can be easily accessed by the general public. It is also expected to contribute to strengthening privacy protection and achieving legal compliance at the national level.

Analyzing the Impact of Service Quality Factors on Trust, Customer Satisfaction, and Customer Loyalty of Major Telecommunication Companies in Korea (국내 이동통신 3사별 서비스 품질 요인이 신뢰, 고객만족도 및 고객충성도에 미치는 영향 분석)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate the service quality factors in terms of customer trust, satisfaction and loyalty of the Korean telecommunication companies(SKT, KT, LG U+). Specifically, this study presents new business strategies of the each company, thereby pursuing the innovation for mature stage. Methods: To analyze the telecommunication service quality factors that contribute to customer trust, satisfaction and loyalty, this study conducted a survey targeting customers of each company. Using the data collected, the research model was built, and empirical analysis was performed through statistical processing to verify the model. Furthermore, the clarification of each hypothesis were held including the comparison analysis of each company data. Results: The results of this study are as follows; (1) When it comes to total dataset, all quality factors including trust, satisfaction and loyalty showed significant relationship, accepting every hypothesis. (2) However, for SKT and LG U+, empathy showed no significant impact on trust while the others showed significant effect. (3) Finally for KT, all service quality factors such as responsiveness, empathy, security, and customer enablement had a significant effect on trust. Conclusion: As the development of platform industry are intensified, telecommunication companies are required to manage service quality factors thoroughly, especially focusing on customer privacy and security.

IoT Based Real-Time Indoor Air Quality Monitoring Platform for a Ventilation System (청정환기장치 최적제어를 위한 IoT 기반 실시간 공기질 모니터링 플랫폼 구현)

  • In this paper, we propose the real time indoor air quality monitoring and controlling platform on cloud using IoT sensor data such as PM10, PM2.5, CO2, VOCs, temperature, and humidity which has direct or indirect impact to indoor air quality. The system is connected to air ventilator to manage and optimize the indoor air quality. The proposed system has three main parts; First, IoT data collection service to measure, and collect indoor air quality in real time from IoT sensor network, Second, Big data processing pipeline to process and store the collected data on cloud platform and Finally, Big data analysis and visualization service to give real time insight of indoor air quality on mobile and web application. For the implication of the proposed system, IoT sensor kits are installed on three different public day care center where the indoor pollution can cause serious impact to the health and education of growing kids. Analyzed results are visualized on mobile and web application. The impact of ventilation system to indoor air quality is tested statistically and the result shows the proper optimization of indoor air quality.

Performance Analysis of Real-Time Big Data Search Platform Based on High-Capacity Persistent Memory (대용량 영구 메모리 기반 실시간 빅데이터 검색 플랫폼 성능 분석)

  • The advancement of various big data technologies has had a tremendous impact on many industries. Diverse big data research studies have been conducted to process and analyze massive data quickly. Under these circumstances, new emerging technologies such as high-capacity persistent memory (PMEM) and Compute Express Link (CXL) have lately attracted significant attention. However, little investigation into a big data "search" platform has been made. Moreover, most big data software platforms have been still optimized for traditional DRAM-based computing systems. This paper first evaluates the basic performance of Intel Optane PMEM, and then investigates both indexing and searching performance of Elasticsearch, a widely-known enterprise big data search platform, on the PMEM-based computing system to explore its effectiveness and possibility. Extensive and comprehensive experiments shows that the proposed Optane PMEM-based Elasticsearch achieves indexing and searching performance improvement by an average of 1.45 times and 3.2 times respectively compared to DRAM-based system. Consequently, this paper demonstrates the high I/O, high-capacity, and nonvolatile PMEM-based computing systems are very promising for big data search platforms.

Internet Personal Broadcasting Service Quality Impact on Continuous Use Intention : Focused on YouTube (1인 미디어 서비스품질이 사용자 만족과 지속사용의도에 미치는 영향 : YouTube를 중심으로)

  • In recent years, the one-person media has increasingly gained popularity. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among the service quality, satisfaction and intention of continuous use of one-person media service and to further examine the mediating effect of satisfaction operating on the relationship between the service quality and intention of continuous use. Based on the literature review, hypotheses were developed and the research model was built for testing. The sample of 358 users was selected to achieve these objectives. From the analysis of PLS(Partial Lease Square Path Analysis), key research findings are summarized as follows. First, relationships among the service quality, satisfaction, and intention of continuous use were all positively correlated each other. Second, the effect of service quality on intention of continuous use was mediated by satisfaction. Third, the content quality of one-person media has the higher effectiveness than platform quality to satisfaction and intention of continuous use. Results of this paper are expected not only to emphasize the importance of satisfaction based on the service quality, but also to provide multifaceted implications and directions for the management of one-person media service effectively.
