  • In this paper, we designed a platform-based $ERP^+$ system, which integrates ERP system and SCM system. With platform-based technology we can connect online and offline platforms, enterprise management systems, and government systems. In our research, first we examined the problems of the existing ERP systems, and second we discussed all basic tasks of our $ERP^+$ system. We also designed several modules for this platform-based system and system network. Our results showed that a platform-based $ERP^+$ system can effectively manage the information and the human/material resources, by using O2O (online to offline) technic. Even different systems can be integrated effectively. It can reduce the costs of enterprise management activities, enhance the enterprise competitiveness.

  • ERP, a typical enterprise application, helps companies to increase their productivity and to support their decision makings. ERP is composed of diverse functions that are optimized under PC environment, whereas the ERP applications on a mobile platform have many constraints such as a small screen, limited resolution, and computing power. Because all the functions of a ERP legacy system are not required for ERP on a mobile device, the core functions of the ERP system should be selected to increase system efficiency. In this study, two main methods were used; interviews and log analyses. The end users using a ERP system were interviewed for their perceptions, and log data analyses were made for the hitting number of specific ERP functions. The differences between the actual usage based on log data and users' cognitive preferences about ERP functions were analysed. Finally, the functional differences between users' perception and actual usage were suggested for some practical implications.

  • Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) systems offer pervasive business functionality the applications encompass virtually all aspects of the business. Understanding and managing this pervasiveness will result in a successful and productive business application platform. Because of this pervasiveness, implementations have ranged from great successes to complete failures. This article has two distinctive parts. The first proposes and discusses a systematic process based on consulting experiences of LG CNS (leading information system company in Korea) for ERP selection. Also, the second provides the key factors that are critical to the successful implementation of ERP. The second part reports the results of a study carried out to assess a number of different ERP implementations in different organizations. A case study method of investigation was used, and the experiences of five Korean manufacturing companies were documented. The critical factors in the adoption of ERP are identified as: learning from the experiences of others, appointment of a process innovator, establishment of committees and project teams, training and technical support for the users, and appropriate changes to the organizational structure and managerial responsibilities.

  • The risk of project failure has increased recently as ERP systems have been transformed into Web environments and task complexity has increased. Although low-code platform development tools are being used as a way to solve this problem, limitations exist as they are centered on UI. To overcome this, back-end development tools are required that can be developed quickly and easily, not only from the front development but also from a variety of development sources produced from the ERP development process, including back-end business services. In addition, the development tools included within existing ERP products require a lot of learning time from the perspective of beginner and intermediate developers due to high entry barriers. To address these shortcomings, this paper seeks to study ways to overcome the limitations of existing development tools within the ERP by providing customized development tool functions by enhancing the usability of ERP development tools suitable for each developer's skills and roles based on the requirements required by ERP development tools, such as reducing the time required for querying, automatic binding of data for testing for service-based units, and checking of source code quality.

  • A telecooperation system supports synchronous cooperation among all the product development partners and enables compensation of deficits concerning traditional information/communication technologies. By analyzing the product development processes and communication scenarios of a company manufacturing automobile parts, the specifications for the suitable telecooperation system were defined. An integrated telecooperation platform that combines the commercial softwares with the new developed modules for customer-oriented functionalities was created as a product development guideline. Future work is strongly required in order to define the best way to improve the integrated platform, based on the functionality of ERP and PDM systems.

  • Information-security management systems (ISMSs) are becoming very important, even for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). However, implementing an ISMS is not an easy task. Many obstacles must be overcome, e.g., complexity, document tracking, competency management, and even changing cultures. The objective of our study is to provide ISMS application tools, based on ISO 27001:2013 ISM frameworks. The application was developed on the Odoo Open Enterprise Resource Planning platform. To validate its feasibility for future improvement, the application was implemented by an MSME company. For this implementation, information-security-related users gave their feedback through a questionnaire. The distributed feedback questionnaire consists of nine assessment parameters, covering topics from the application's technical aspects to users' experiences. Based on the questionnaire feedback, all users of the application were satisfied with its performance.

  • The development of monitoring and analysis systems to increase productivity while saving energy is needed as a method to reduce huge amount of energy consumed in the process of producing large forged products. In this paper, we propose a system to monitor and analyze energy usage in real-time collected from gas-meter, wattmeter, and thermometer based on IoT installed in forging factories. The system consists of a data collection server for collecting and processing data from IoT- based platform and existing SCADA equipment and ERP/MES system in forging factories, and an application server for providing services to users. To develop the system, the overall system structure is logically diagrammed, and the databases configuration and implementation modules to efficiently store and manage data are presented. In the future, the system will be utilized to reduce energy consumption by analyzing energy usage pattern and optimizing process works with real-time energy usage and production process data for each facility.
