  • One of the primary factors like plate structure In ship is redundancy structure that is comparable with ocean structure and frame structure. The more component material becomes buckling collapsed locally the less structure stiffness becomes accordingly. As a result, by increasing the load distribution of any other subsidiary structure continually component member collapses, therefore the structure could be in danger of collapse. So, in order to interpret this phenomenon precisely, the study on boundary condition of the ship's Plate and post-buckling analysis must be considered. In this study, the rectangular plate is compressed by the in-plane load. Buckling & Ultimate strength characteristics we applied to be the elasto-plasticity large deformation by F.E.M. On this basis, elasto-plasticity of the plain plate are investigated. This study proved elasto-plasticity behaviour of tile ship's plate In accordance with boundary condition based on the series analysis In case of the compressive load operation.

서스펜션 링크의 부시 압입에 따른 내구 영향도 연구 (Study of Durability Effect Parameter in Inserting Bush into Suspension Link)

  • Purpose: In recent years, weight reduction for improving fuel efficiency of the vehicle and cost reduction have been developed. The structure of suspension link is widely used as a single plate press structure which can reduce process and weight compared to existing pipe welding method. However, it was found that the lifetime of a single plate press structure is determined by initial defects that occurred during initial manufacturing rather than fatigue damage caused by driving. Methods: I research the mechanism of failure phenomenon of the single plate press assist arm of rear wheel. In addition, I investigate durability effect parameters to determine the link lifetime in inserting bush into single plate press process through durability test. Conclusion: I discover significant durability effect parameter in inserting bush into single plate press process. It is expected that the durability can be improved by suggesting a bush inserting process inspection guide for similar suspension link like single plate press structure.

연속형 센서와 웨이브 전파를 이용한 판 구조물의 손상감지 (Damage Detection of Plate Using Long Continuous Sensor and Wave Propagation)

  • A method for damage detection in a plate structure is presented based on strain waves that are generated by impact or damage in the structure. Strain responses from continuous sensors, which are long ribbon-like sensors made from piezoceramic fibers or other materials, were used with a neural network technique to estimate the damage location. The continuous sensor uses only a small number of channels of data acquisition and can cover large areas of the structure. A grid type structural neural system composed of the continuous sensors was developed for effective damage localization in a plate structure. The ratios of maximum strains and arrival times of the maximum strains obtained from the continuous sensors were used as input data to a neural network. Simulated damage localizations on a plate were carried out and the identified damage locations agreed reasonably well with the exact damage locations.

두께감육 평가를 위한 비접촉식 초음파 센서 네트워크를 이용한 토모그래프 기술 개발 (Development of Tomograph Technique for Evaluating Thickness Reduction using Noncontact Ultrasonic Sensor Network)

  • This paper describes a tomographic imaging technique for evaluating the thickness reduction of a plate-like structure using a noncontact sensor network based on an electromagnetic acoustic transducer that generates shear horizontal plate waves. Because this technique is based on the effect of mode cutoff and time of flight of guided waves caused by a change in thickness, the tomographic image provides information on the presence of defects in the structure. To verify the performance of the method, artificial defects with various thickness reduction ratios were machined in an aluminum plate, and the tomographic imaging results are reported. The results show that the generated tomographic image displays the thickness reductions and can identify their locations. Therefore, the proposed technique has good potential as a tool for health monitoring of the integrity of plate-like structures.

Damage detection of plate-like structures using intelligent surrogate model

  • Cracks in plate-like structures are some of the main reasons for destruction of the entire structure. In this study, a novel two-stage methodology is proposed for damage detection of flexural plates using an optimized artificial neural network. In the first stage, location of damages in plates is investigated using curvature-moment and curvature-moment derivative concepts. After detecting the damaged areas, the equations for damage severity detection are solved via Bat Algorithm (BA). In the second stage, in order to efficiently reduce the computational cost of model updating during the optimization process of damage severity detection, multiple damage location assurance criterion index based on the frequency change vector of structures are evaluated using properly trained cascade feed-forward neural network (CFNN) as a surrogate model. In order to achieve the most generalized neural network as a surrogate model, its structure is optimized using binary version of BA. To validate this proposed solution method, two examples are presented. The results indicate that after determining the damage location based on curvature-moment derivative concept, the proposed solution method for damage severity detection leads to significant reduction of computational time compared with direct finite element method. Furthermore, integrating BA with the efficient approximation mechanism of finite element model, maintains the acceptable accuracy of damage severity detection.

  • Application of the flat shell element with drilling D.O.F to linear buckling analysis of thin-walled structures is presented in this paper. The shell element has been developed basically by combining a membrane element with drilling D.O.F. and Mindlin plate bending element. Thus, the shell element possesses six degrees-of-freedom per node which, in addition to improvement of the element behavior, permits an easy connection to other six degrees-of-freedom per node elements(CLS, Choi and Lee, 1995). Accordingly, structures like folded plate and stiffened shell structure, for which it is hard to find the analytical solutions, can be analyzed using these developed flat shell elements. In this paper, linear buckling analysis of thin-walled structures like folded plate structures using the shell elements(CLS) with drilling D.O.F. to be formulated and then fulfilled. Subsequently, buckling modes and the critical loads can be output. Finally. finite element solutions for linear buckling analysis of folded plate structures are compared with available analytic solutions and other researcher's results.

Bimorph piezoelectric energy harvester structurally integrated on a trapezoidal plate

  • A bimorph piezoelectric energy harvester is developed for harvesting energy under the vortex induced vibration and it is integrated to a host structure of a trapezoidal plate without changing its passive dynamic properties. It is aimed to select trapezoidal plate as similar to a vertical fin-like structure which could be a part of an air vehicle. The designed energy harvester consists of an aluminum beam and two identical multi fiber composite (MFC) piezoelectric patches. In order to understand the dynamic characteristic of the trapezoidal plate, finite element analysis is performed and it is validated through an experimental study. The bimorph piezoelectric energy harvester is then integrated to the trapezoidal plate at the most convenient location with minimal structural displacement. The finite element model is constructed for the new combined structure in ANSYS Workbench 14.0 and the analyses performed on this particular model are then validated via experimental techniques. Finally, the energy harvesting performance of the bimorph piezoelectric energy harvester attached to the trapezoidal plate is also investigated through wind tunnel tests under the air load and the obtained results indicate that the system is a viable one for harvesting reasonable amount of energy.

  • 선박에서 주요소중에 하나인 판요소는 해양구조물과 골조구조물에 비해 고차의 부정정 구조물로서 구성부재가 국부적으로 좌굴 붕괴하더라도 구조전체적인 붕괴에까지 곧바로 연결될 가능성은 일반적으로 많지 않다고 알려져 왔다. 그러나, 일단 구성부재가 좌굴붕괴하고 나면 국부적으로 구조강성이 저하하고, 그 결과 주변의 타 구조부재가 밟는 하중분담이 증가함으로써 연쇄적으로 구성부재가 소성붕괴하여 결국에는 구조전체적으로 붕괴할 위험성이 있다. 그래서, 이러한 현상을 정확하게 해석하기 위해서는 좌굴 및 좌굴후 거동에 대한 연구가 필요하며 본 논문에서는 면내하중을 받는 직사각형판에 대해서 판 주변 지지조건을 달리한 시리즈 해석을 범용유한요소 프로그램인 ANSYS를 사용하였다. 본 논문에서는 면내하중이 작용하는 판의 경계조건에 따른 시리즈 해석을 통하여 선체판의 탄소성 거동을 규명하였다.

표면 효과익선(WIG)의 구조 강도에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Structure Strength of Wing In Ground effect Ship)

  • 표면효과익선이란 동체의 날개가 해수면 가까이 비행할 때 수면과 날개 사이에서 양력이 증가되는 표면효과를 이용하는 에너지 절약형 선박이다. 표면효과익선은 낮은 고도로 공기 중에서 비행하여야 되므로 박판으로 이루어져야 한다. 그러므로, 표면효과익선 구조에서 외판의 두께는 얇고 가벼우며 Stringer와 Frame등의 보강재는 외판에 비하여 단면적이 훨씬 크다. 이와 같은 구조에 있어서는 외판이 면내방향의 하중을 받으면 박판인 외판은 순전단장에 가깝게 된다. 이와같이 외판과 큰 단면적을 갖는 String를 서로 조합하여 이루어진 구조는 표면효과익선 구조물의 구조응답해석이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 기본설계 단계에서 간단하게 기체 구조강도해석을 할 수 있는 기존의 해석적인 방법으로 동체와 표면익의 구조강도를 계산할 수 있는 해석적인 방법을 제시하였다.

  • On processing of the shipbuilding, Various steel plates are used as the important material in many fields including the shell plate, a structure, etc. Therefore, the proper steel plate management system like a warehousing, pile, delivery is very important. Presently Operators manage the steel plate by using the software program, but they manage many parts manually, so many problems are generated on the steel plate check, management, and operator safety. In order to solve this problem, we developed Auto Steel-Plate Piling System. Also this system automatically manages and traces the steel-plate from warehousing to delivery.
