Investigations were conducted to prevent entrance of Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) with very fine mesh nets. B. tabaci vectors tomato yellow leaf curl virus in tomatoes. B. tabaci could be completely prevented to penetrate into an 83 mesh net, though few of them passed the 60 mesh net. An independent 60 mesh net cage was built within one of the three interconnected common plastic greenhouse ($21.0{\times}18.3m$) in order to find its usefulness as a crop protection tool from insect pests. TYLCV infected tomato plants were not detected, though a few eggs of B. tabaci and mines of Liriomyza trifolii (Burgess) were detected locally at the entrance of the sliding door. There were practically no significant differences between treatments of nets and the conventional plant height, leaf length and width, number of floret clusters, sugar brix, and product yield. In viewpoints of commercialization, it could be considered highly prospectful to apply to the nets to glasshouses or other greenhouses in which the growing period of crops is long, if the nets were used in the openings of sides, ceilings, and entrances of the greenhouse. However, it might be necessary to take preventive measures for occurrences of insect pests living in soil, temporarily or permanently, as well as high humidity diseases.

Recent years have witnessed that IT-convergence technology has become the most important issue in the global market. Along with this trend, demand for PSS(i.e., Product-Service Systems) design has been rapidly increased in the smart clothing market. A case of the PSS design research, this study aimed to identify optimum conditions for weaving of POF-based flexible textile display(abbreviated as "PFTD") for mountaineer wear with safe-guard function regarding luminescent properties. Based on the findings regarding the optimum weaving condition of PFTD, several designs of mountaineer wear were suggested in this study. A total of 15 PFTD samples were prepared under various weaving conditions of weave structures and density of POF, and the luminance values of each sample were measured. As the results, the types of PFTD with structures and density of 'satin 3:1', 'satin 2:1', 'twill 3:1' and 'twill 2:1' indicated relatively higher luminescence. And based on the results and recent sports fashion trends, two suited mountaineering wears applying PFTD were illustrated in this study.

In this study, the Warm-Mix Asphalt was prepared using a modified Sulfur Binder mixed with an additive of a polymer component in sulfur, which is an industrial by-product generated in the crude oil refining process. The dynamic stability and durability characteristics of the prepared Warm-Mix Asphalt was evaluated by the indirect tensile strength, the tensile strength ratio before and after water immersion and freezing-thawing, and the dynamic stability by wheel tracking test. The Warm-Mix Asphalt Mixtures using Modified Sulfur Binder has a tensile strength ratio before and after water immersion of 0.88, which is about 1.13 times that of the Warm-Mix formed modified Asphalt, and the tensile strength ration before and after freezing-thawing is also 0.82, thus, all tensile strength ratios satisfied the KS quality standard value of 0.75 or more. The indirect tensile strength was 1.6MPa which was twice the KS quality standard value of 0.8MPa, and about 1.24 times higher than that of normal heated asphalt 1.29MPa. In addition, the dynamic stability by the wheel tracking test was 14,075 times/mm, which was about 15 times higher than that of normal heated asphalt and about 3 times higher than that of the Warm-Mix formed modified Asphalt, showing excellent resistance to plastic deformation such as fatigue cracks.

This study was conducted to improve the packaging technology used for Gangjung and the product's quality characteristics during storage. Packaging materials consisting of (1) IP: OPP (oriented polypropylene)/PE (polyethylene) + Paper, (2) LP1: OPP/PE + Paper, (3) LP2: OPP/PE + Can, (4) LP3: OPP/PE + Plastic, (5) BP1: OPP/PE, (6) BP2: OPP/DL/CPP (cast polypropylene), (7) BP3: PET/PE/CPP, and (8) BP4: OPP/PVDC (polyvinylidene chloride)/PE/CPP were used. The major fatty acids including 54.2% linoleic acid, 24.1% oleic acid, 11.2% palmitic acid and 6.0% linoleic acid were assessed. The packages effective in maintaining moisture were in the order of LP2, BP4 > IP > LP3, BP1, BP2 > LP1 > BP3. There were no significant differences in water content and the products in IP, BP3, and BP showed the highest level in the increase in hardness on day 60 of storage. Acid values of IP, LP1, LP2, LP3, BP1, and BP2 were maintained at <2.0 during 40 days of storage. IP, LP1, LP2 and BP1.
This experiment was conducted to determine the effects of the pre- and post-harvest variable factors on the processed product of kimchi cabbage cultivated in semi-highland at summer time. Kimchi cabbage cultivar 'Chun Gwang' was grown in an open field and/or under a plastic greenhouse condition; it was stored at 0? after harvesting with low-density polyethylene (LDPE) film packaging. The pre-harvest characteristics growth parameters, fresh weight, head weight, no of leaves, leaf thickness, firmness, moisture content etc. were evaluated. The evaluated postharvest characteristics were fresh weight loss, appearance, trimming loss, SPAD value, moisture content and hue angle. The results show that the fresh weight and leaf thickness were higher in 'Chun Gwang' kimchi cabbages grown in the greenhouse than those in the field. However, the other evaluated factors were not affected by the type of cultural method. During the storage, the cabbage continued to decrease in fresh weight loss, trimming loss and moisture content. When compared to the kimchi cabbage showed significant difference in the fresh weight loss, trimming loss and moisture content during storage. It was confirmed that both cultural methods indoor- and outdoor did not show head growth parameters of 'Chun Gwang' kimchi cabbages on semi-high land at summer time. Although no difference in the growth before storage was observed, the evaluated characteristics like fresh weight loss etc. were influenced by cultural method as a pre-harvest factor. This study suggests that there were to be affected by pre-harvest factor during storage after harvest. In this study, an integrated management system combining relationship between processed agricultural products and their pre- and post-harvest factors.
A feeding trial was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary fish meal replacement by a blend of lysine cell mass, corn protein concentrate and poultry by-product meal on the growth and blood chemistry of the starry flounder Platichthys stellatus. The fish meal replacer (FMR) was prepared to have the same level of protein as fish meal (FM). With a commercial diet as a positive control, five experimental diets (basal, FM42, FM32, FM22 and FM12) were formulated to contain 52% protein and 10% lipid. The dietary FM levels decreased from 52% (basal) to 42, 32, 22 and 12% with concomitant increase in the FMR to 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50%, respectively. Juvenile starry flounder with an average body weight of 177.3 g were randomly distributed in each (30 fish/tank) of 18 plastic tanks ($139{\times}99{\times}54cm$). After a 45-day feeding trial, the survival rate ranged from 95.6% (FM22) to 100% (control and FM42), while the weight gain of the fish groups varied from 49.7 to 58.4 g. The results clearly revealed that starry flounder can grow well on a diet containing low FM (12%) with a high level of FMR (50%) without any adverse effects.
In this study, viable cells, coliforms and food poisoning bacteria were identified according to the pH levels of the coagulant and immersion liquid during each stage in the production of konjac, and storage stability was confirmed for 3 months. A considerable number of bacteria were found in the raw material, or powdered konjac (Amorphophallus konjac), as well as in the processing water. However, it has been shown that the plastic package were safe from microorganisms. Due to the high pH of the added coagulant [2.0% $Ca(OH)_2$], no contaminating bacteria were observed after konjac jelly formation. Coliforms were not detected any of the tested steps. During the molding process, the pH of konjac was adjusted to 9.5 ~ 12.5 at intervals of 0.5, and the number of bacteria was determined. As a result, no bacteria were detected in the alkaline range above pH 11.5. The pH of the immersion liquid was adjusted to 10.0 ~ 12.5, and after hardening, the konjac were stored at room temperature for 12 weeks. As a result, no bacteria, Escherichia coli or other food poisoning bacteria were detected at pH 11.5 or higher. Based on these results, it is expected that when the pH levels of the konjac and its immersion liquid are maintained at 11.5, it should be possible to keep the product for 3 months without additional sterilization process.

Additive manufacturing is a state-of-the-art manufacturing process technology in which three-dimensional structures are fabricated by laminating two-dimensional sections of a structure using various materials such as plastic, ceramics, and metals. The additive manufacturing technology has the advantage of high design freedom, while the surface property (roughness) of the finished product varies depending on the process conditions, which necessitates performing a post-process after the products are manufactured. In this study, the surface roughness of a structure made of polyamide 12, which was manufactured by SLS (Selective Laser Sintering) and MJF (Multi Jet Fusion) process was compared. The processing condition was classified by the building orientation of structure as 0, 45, and 90 degrees, which is the angle between the analytical surface and the horizontal plane of the fabrication platform. Structures with a hole of various diameters ranging from 1mm to 10mm were manufactured and the hole characteristics (ratio of hole depth to diameter) and results of the specimens were compared. As a result of the surface characteristics analysis, the surface roughness value of the specimens manufactured with a building orientation of $45^{\circ}$ was the highest in both technologies. In the case of the through-hole structure fabrication, the shape was maintained with 5mm and 10mm diameter holes regardless of the building orientation, although the hole forming was difficult for the smaller holes.
Effects of the various dietary additives on growth and tolerance of abalone Haliotis discus hannai to the stresses were determined in the 16-week feeding trial. Seventy juvenile (an initial body weight of 4.2 g) abalone per container were randomly distributed into 21, 50 L plastic rectangular containers each. The six kinds of experimental diets were prepared: control (CON) with no additive, by-product of green tea (BPG), extract of figs (EF), extract of green tea (EG), commercially available product of Hearok (PH), and Haematococcus (HC). In addition, dry sea tangle (ST) was prepared to compare the efficiency of the experimental diets. Fishmeal, soybean meal and shrimp head meal were used as the protein source, and dextrin, sea tangle powder and wheat flour, and soybean oil and fish oil were used as the carbohydrate and lipid sources, respectively in the experimental diets. The experimental diets were fed to abalone once a day at a satiation level with a little leftover. The feeding trial lasted for 16 weeks. At the end of the 16-week feeding trial, abalone was exposed to the different types of stresses (air exposure, and sudden changes of rearing temperature and salinity). Survival of abalone fed the sea tangle was highest. However, weight gain of abalone fed the EF, EG and PH diets was significantly (P<0.05) higher than that of abalone fed the BPG diet or dry sea tangle. Shell length of abalone fed the all experimental diets was significantly (P<0.05) higher than that of abalone fed the dry sea tangle. Accumulated mortality of abalone fed the sea tangle was low when exposed to the different types of stresses. Also, relatively low mortality was achieved in abalone fed the HC and EF diets. In considering these results, it can be concluded that the various sources of additives is effective to improve production of abalone, and Haematococcus and extract of figs can be considered as dietary additives to improve resistance of abalone against the different types of stresses.

Recently, the medium-low level radioactive waste from nuclear power plant must be transported from temporary storage to the final repository. Medium-low level radioactive waste, which is composed mainly of the liquid ion exchange resin, has been consolidated with cementitious material in the plastic or iron container. Since cementitious material is brittle, it would generate cracks by impact load during transportation, signifying leakage of radioactive ray. In order to design the safety transporting equipment, there is a need to check the compressive strength of the current waste. However, because it is impossible to measure strength by direct method due to leakage of radioactive ray, we will estimate the strength indirectly by the dynamic modulus of elasticity. Therefore, it must be identified the relationship between of strength and dynamic modulus of elasticity. According to the waste acceptance criteria, the compressive strength of cement based solid is defined as more than 3.44 MPa (500 psi). Compressive strength of the present solid is likely to be significantly higher than this baseline because of continuous hydration of cement during long period. On this background, we have tried to produce the specimens of the 28 day's compressive strength of 3 to 30 MPa having the same material composition as the solid product for the medium-low level radioactive waste, and analyze the relationship between the strength and the dynamic modulus of elasticity. By controling the addition rates of AE agent, we made the mixture containing the ion exchange resin and showing the target compressive strength (3~30 MPa). The dynamic modulus of elasticity of this mixtures is 4.1~10.2 GPa, about 20 GPa lower in the equivalent compressive strength level than that of ordinary concrete, and increasing the discrepancy according to increase strength. The compressive strength and the dynamic modulus of elasticity show the liner relationship.
