64 다중 검출기 전산화단층촬영에서 관전류 자동노출조절 기법을 이용한 두개부 방사선량 감소 정도 평가 (Reducing of Craniofacial Radiation Dose Using Automatic Exposure Control Technique in the 64 Multi-Detector Computed Tomography)

  • 64 multi-detector computed tomography (MDCT)에서 두개부의 과도한 선량이 문제가 되어 고정관류기법과 관전류 자동노출조절(automatic exposure control, AEC) 기법을 이용하여 선량 감소 정도를 비교 평가하고자 한다. 연구에 사용한 장비는 Siemens사의 SOMATOM Definition 64 multi-detector CT를 이용했으며, Whole body phantom (KUPBU-50, Kyoto Kagaku CO. Ltd)의 두개부를 사용했다. 실험 protocol은 helical scan 방식을 적용하여 120 kVp, rotation time은 1 sec, slice thickness와 increment는 각각 5 mm, FOV는 250 mm, matrix size는 $512{\times}512$, collimation은 $64{\times}0.625\;mm$, pitch는 1로 조사하였다. 선량감소효과의 측정방법은 관전류를 350 mAs로 고정한 방법과 AEC 기법을 적용한 방법으로 나누어 평가하였으며, 영상품질은 CT number의 표준편차를 이용하여 영상의 잡음을 측정하였다. 이 때 두개부(craniofacial bone)는 머리덮개뼈(calvaria) 끝부분에서 눈썹활(superciliary ridge)까지를 1구역, 논썹활 아래부터 코가시점(acanthion)까지를 2구역, 그리고 코가시점 아래부터 턱(mentum)끝까지를 3구역으로 정의하여 측정하였다. 고정관류기법에서 구역별로 CTDIvol은 57.7 mGy였으며, DLP는 $640.2\;mGy{\cdot}cm$로 동일하였다. AEC 기법을 적용한 1구역은 CTDIvol: 30.7 mGy, DLP: $340.7\;mGy{\cdot}cm$, 2구역은 CTDIvol: 46.5 mGy, DLP: $515.0\;mGy{\cdot}cm$, 그리고 3구역은 CTDIvol: 30.3 mGy, DLP: $337.0\;mGy{\cdot}cm$으로 나타났다. 영상품질을 나타내는 CT number의 표준편차는 1구역에서 고정 관류기법은 2.6, AEC 기법은 3.0, 2구역에서 고정 관류기법은 3.1, AEC 기법은 3.4, 3구역에서 고정 관류기법은 2.7, AEC 기법은 3.2으로 측정되었다. 64 MDCT에서의 AEC 기법은 기존의 고정관류법에 비해 안구, 이하선 그리고 갑상선 부위에 대해 큰 선량 감소효과가 나타났으며, 두개부의 방사선량을 감소시키는데 매우 유용한 기법으로 사료된다.

OKAYAMA ASTROPHYSICAL OBSERVATORY WIDE-FIELD CAMERA

  • We present the design, expected performance, and current status of the wide field near-infrared camera (OAOWFC) now being developed at Okayama Astrophysical Observatory, NAOJ, NINS. OAOWFC is a near-infrared survey telescope whose effective aperture is 91cm. It works at Y, J, H, and $K_s$ bands and is dedicated to the survey of long period variable stars in the Galactic plane. The field of view is $0.95 {\times} 0.95 deg^2$ which is covered by one HAWAII-2 RG detector of 2048 ${\times}$ 2048 pixels with the pixel size of $18.5 {\mu}m\;{\times}\;18.5{\mu}m$, that results in the sampling pitch of 1.6 arcsec/pixel. OAOWFC can sweep the area of $840 deg^2$ every 3 weeks, attaining a limiting magnitude of 13 in $K_s$ band. It allows us to observe long period variables embedded in the Galactic plane where interstellar extinction is severe in optical.

영어 강세 교정을 위한 주변 음 특징 차를 고려한 강조점 검출 (Prominence Detection Using Feature Differences of Neighboring Syllables for English Speech Clinics)

  • Prominence of speech, which is often called 'accent,' affects the fluency of speaking American English greatly. In this paper, we present an accurate prominence detection method that can be utilized in computer-aided language learning (CALL) systems. We employed pitch movement, overall syllable energy, 300-2200 Hz band energy, syllable duration, and spectral and temporal correlation as features to model the prominence of speech. After the features for vowel syllables of speech were extracted, prominent syllables were classified by SVM (Support Vector Machine). To further improve accuracy, the differences in characteristics of neighboring syllables were added as additional features. We also applied a speech recognizer to extract more precise syllable boundaries. The performance of our prominence detector was measured based on the Intonational Variation in English (IViE) speech corpus. We obtained 84.9% accuracy which is about 10% higher than previous research.

디지털 필터를 이용한 오디오 워터마킹 기술 (Audio Watermarking Technique Based on Digital Filter)

  • In this paper, we propose a robust watermarking technique that accepts time scaling, pitch shift, add noise and a lot of lossy compression such as MP3, AAC, WMA. The technique is developed based on digital filtering. Being designed according to critical band of HAS (human auditory system), the digital filters nearly affect audio quality. Furthermore, before implementing digital filtering, wavelet transform decomposes the audio signal into several signals that is composed of specific frequencies. Designed digital filters scan the decomposed signal. The designed digital filter, band-stop filter, distorts and eliminates specific frequencies of audio signals. Watermarking detection can be accomplished by FFT (Fast Fourier Transform). Firstly, segments of audio signal are transformed by FFT. Then, the obtained amplitude spectrum by FFT is summed repeatedly. Finally the watermark detector can find filters used to watermark encoding based on eliminating frequencies. The suggested technique can embed 4bits/s in a robust manner.

  • In this paper the emission characteristic of the ship's diesel engine with CPP(Controllable Pitch Propeller) were investigated under the passage test on the sea. As the results it is confirmed that the NOx.$CO_x$ concentrations increase as the engine speed increases and the torque decreases. but the amount of NOx, COx emissions(g./k Wh) decrease as the torque increase regardless of the engine speed. Also it is compared with the NOx concentra-tions measured by the two method-ECC(Electrochemical Cell)and CLD(Chemiluminescence Detector)for the correct measurement and the ECC indicated higher value than the CLD.

연속음성에서 천이구간의 탐색, 추출, 근사합성에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Searching, Extraction and Approximation-Synthesis of Transition Segment in Continuous Speech)

  • In a speed coding system using excitation source of voiced and unvoiced, it would be involved a distortion of speech quality in case coexist with a voiced and an unvoiced consonants in a frame. So, I propose TSIUVC(Transition Segment Including UnVoiced Consonant) searching, extraction ad approximation-synthesis method in order to uncoexistent with a voiced and unvoiced consonants in a frame. This method based on a zerocrossing rate and pitch detector using FIR-STREAK Digital Filter. As a result, the extraction rates of TSIUVC are 84.8% (plosive), 94.9%(fricative), 92.3%(affricative) in female voice, and 88%(plosive), 94.9%(fricative), 92.3%(affricative) in male voice respectively, Also, I obain a high quality approximation-synthesis waveforms within TSIUVC by using frequency information of 0.547kHz below and 2.813kHz above. This method has the capability of being applied to speech coding of low bit rate, speech analysis and speech synthesis.

적층 패턴 기반의 서피스 인코딩 방법 (Surface Encoding Method Based on the Superposed Pattern)

  • Instead of the surface pattern arranged repeatedly in two axial direction on a plane, we propose double patterns superposing two one-axial linear patterns as a reference target for surface encoding. A upper layer of the superposed pattern is the transparent glass with grooves cut in it at a fixed pitch. The position is sensed by detecting a shift of beam due to difference of a refractive index. And a lower layer is the aluminum with color-coated grooves. The amount of beam reflected on the layer varies according to its targeting position and is detected for encoding. For the above reference pattern, we can detect two-axial positions using only the single beam. Furthermore, the pattern size can be expanded with a size of the detector kept constant, meaning that the measured range can be expanded easily. In this paper, we review the existing optical encoding methods for grid pattern, and discuss the hardware implementation of the suggested surface encoding method.

평판 디지털 X-ray 검출기의 개발과 성능 평가에 관한 연구 (Development of $14"{\times}8.5"$ active matrix flat-panel digital x-ray detector system and Imaging performance)

  • 의료영상 분야에서의 디지털화가 시도되면서부터 평판형 디지털 영상검출기가 일반촬영 및 투시영상을 비롯한 다양한 영상 획득 장치에의 적용을 위해 꾸준히 연구, 개발되어져 왔다. 본 연구는 비정질 셀레늄을 이용한 디지털 방사선 검출기를 통해 획득된 영상의 평가를 통해 순수 국내 기술로 개발중인 디지털 방사선 검출기의 임상 사용여부를 확인하고, 영상평가의 주요인자인 modulation transfer function (MTF), noise power spectrum (NPS), and detective quantum efficiency (DQE) 이용하여 정량적인 값을 도출함으로써 의료영상평가에 필요한 측정 방법 및 그 기초 자료의 제공을 그 목적으로 한다. 비정질 셀레늄을 이용한 디지털 방사선 검출기는 pixel pitch가 $139\;{\mu}m$이며, 전체 active area은 $14{\times}8.5\;inch^2$, 전체 pixel의 수는 3.9백만개이다. 디지털 X-선 검출기에서 광도전체로서 비정질 셀레늄은 TFT 평판 패널 위에 진공 증착된다. 비정질 셀레늄의 두께는 $500\;{\mu}m$이다. 디지털 방사선 검출기의 성능을 평가하기 위해 민감도, 선형성, MTF, NPS, 그리고 DQE가 측정되었다. 선형성 평가에서는 뛰어난 선형성[($r^2$)=0.9693]을 보였다. 측정된 민감도는 인가전압 $10\;V/{\mu}m$에서 $4.16{\times}10^6\;ehp/pixel{\cdot}mR$이며, MTF는 2.5\;lp/mm에서 52%이다. 그리고 DQE는 1.5\;lp/mm에서 75%이다. 본 연구를 통해 영상평가 측정 기술의 기본적 토대를 마련하고, 측정된 값은 국내 기술로 개발중인 비정질 셀레늄을 이용한 직접방식의 디지털 방사선 검출기의 임상적 사용가치가 충분함을 뒷받침할 수 있는 기초 자료로서 제공될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • 1차원 MWPC(Multiwire Proportional Chamber)를 이용한 디지탈 X-선 사진촬영장치를 개발하였다. X-선의 입사위치 정보는 각각의 양극선에 증폭기, 판별기및 계수기를 연결하여 얻는다. 각각의 판별기에는 판별전압을 독립적으로 설정하여 검출기의 계수율 균일성을 향상시켰으며 미분형비선형값은 ${\pm}4%$이었다. 노화효과를 방지하기 위하여 기체유입형으로 제작하였으며 검출기체로는 비교적 값싼 P10기체를 사용하였다. 양극선 간격이 2mm일때 검출기체의 압력을 증가시킴으로써 위치분해능이 약 1.4mm인 우수한 특성을 얻었다. 피사체를 수직방향으로 스캐닝하여 $32{\times}32$화소의 영상을 었었다.

간접평판형 검출기에서 국제전자기술위원회 기준을 통한 잡음전력스펙트럼 비교 연구 (Comparison of Noise Power Spectrum in Measurements by Using International Electro-technical Commission Standard Devices in Indirect Digital Radiography)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare image quality of indirect digital radiography (IDR) system using the International Electro-technical Commission standard (IEC 62220-1), and to suggest the analysis of noise power spectrum (NPS) which were applied to IEC 62220-1 in medical imaging. In this study, Pixium 4600 (Trixell, France) which is indirect flat panel detector (FPD) was used. The size of image receptor (IR) is $7{\times}17$ inch (matrix $3001{\times}3001$) which performed 14bit processing and pixel pitch is $143{\mu}m$. In IEC standard, NPS evaluation were applied to RQA3, RQA5, RQA7 and RQA9. Because of different radiation quality, each region of interesting (ROI) were compared. The results of NPS indicated up to $3.5mm^{-1}$ including low Nyquist frequency. RQA5 indicated the lowest NPS and the others indicated higher NPS results relatively. NPS result of ROI a38 was higher than ROI a92 and this result indicated that there are more noise in left (cathode) than right (anode). This study were to evaluate NPS by using different radiation quality and setting the each ROI, and to suggest the quantitative methods of measuring NPS.
