Learning a Single Joint Perception-Action Coupling: A Pilot Study

  • Purpose: This study examined the influence of visuomotor congruency on learning a relative phase relationship between a single joint movement and an external signal. Methods: Participants (N=5) were required to rhythmically coordinate elbow flexion-extension movements with a continuous sinusoidal wave (0.375 Hz) at a $90^{\circ}$ relative phase relationship. The congruent group was provided online feedback in which the elbow angle decreased (corresponding to elbow flexion) as the angle trajectory was movingup, and vice versa. The incongruent group was provided online feedback in which the elbow angle decreased as the angle trajectory was moving down, and vice versa. There were two practice sessions (day 1 and 2) and each session consisted of 6 trials per block (5 blocks per session). Retention tests were performed 24 hours after session 2, and only the external sinusoidal wave was provided. Repeated ANOVAs were used for statistical analysis. Results: During practice, the congruent group was significantly less variable than the incongruent group. Phase variability in the incongruent group did not significantly change across blocks, while variability decreased significantly in the congruent group. In retention, the congruent group produced the required $90^{\circ}$ relative phase pattern with significantly less phase variability than the incongruent group. Conclusions: Congruent visual feedback facilitates learning. Moreover, the deprivation of online feedback does not affect the congruent group but does affect the incongruent group in retention.

Experimental Study on Two-Phase Flow Parameters of Subcoolet Boiling in Inclined Annulus

  • Local two-phase flow parameters of subcooled flow boiling in inclined annulus were measured to investigate the effect of inclination on the internal flow structure. Two-conductivity probe technique was applied to measure local gas phasic parameters, including void fraction, vapor bubble frequency, chord length, vapor bubble velocity and interfacial area concentration. Local liquid velocity was measured by Pilot tube. Experiments were conducted for three angles of inclination; 0$^{\circ}$(vertical), 30$^{\circ}$, 60$^{\circ}$. The system pressure was maintained at atmospheric pressure. The range of average void fraction was up to 10% and the average liquid superficial velocities were less than 1.3 m/sec. The results of experiments showed that the distributions of two-phase How parameters were influenced by the angle of channel inclination. Especially, the void fraction and chord length distributions were strongly affected by the increase of inclination angle, and flow pattern transition to slug flow was observed depending on the How conditions. The profiles of vapor velocity, liquid velocity and interfacial area concentration were found to be affected by the non-symmetric bubble size distribution in inclined channel. Using the measured distributions of local phasic parameters, an analysis for predicting average void fraction was performed based on the drift flux model and flowing volumetric concentration. And it was demonstrated that the average void fraction can be more appropriately presented in terms of flowing volumetric concentration.

특정 공항에서의 VFR 항공기 레이다 항적자료 분석 연구 (A Study on the Radar Data Analysis of VFR Aircraft at an Airport)

  • Obstacle limitation surfaces are imaginary space surfaces that must be clear of obstacles for the aircraft to safely take off and land on the aerodrome. These surfaces are closely related to the safety of the VFR aircraft, which require a pilot to be able to see outside the cockpit, to control the aircraft's altitude, navigate, and avoid obstacles and other aircraft. The Republic of Korea, which has a lot of restrictions on the use of airspace, cannot provide a rich operating environment for VFR aircraft. Under these circumstances, safer operation will not be guaranteed if additional factors that directly or indirectly affect existing VFR routes, such as drone delivery services. This study analyzes and models the track distribution of each VFR section based on radar track data around a specific airport. Through this study, we estimate the three-dimensional space for VFR aircraft and provide the data for future research such as airspace analysis of VFR corridors and correlation with obstacle limitation surfaces.

Spatial and Temporal Features of Motor Modules in an individual with Hemiparesis During the Curvilinear Gait: A Pilot Single-Case Study

  • Purpose: This study aimed to investigate spatial and temporal features of motor control in an individual with hemiparesis during the curvilinear gait (CG) and proposed an exercise guideline. Research design, data and methodology: An individual aged 63 with hemiparesis by stroke disease was participated in the study. Autoencoder (AE) was used to extract four motor modules from eight muscle activities of the paretic leg during CG. After extraction, each module of four modules was operationally defined by numbering from M1 to M4 according to spatial and temporal features and compared with results reported in a previous study. Results: As a result, an individual with hemiparesis had motor module problems related to difficulty of weight acceptance (module 1), compensation for the weakness of ankle plantar flexor (module 2), a spastic synergistic pattern (module 3) and difficulty with transition from the swing to stance phase (module 4) in terms of spatial features. Also, a delayed activation timing of temporal motor module (module 2) related to the forward propulsion during CG was observed. Conclusions: Gait rehabilitation for the stroke will need to consider clinical significances in respect of the deterioration of motor module and provide the tailored approaches for each gait phase.

도시지역 토지이용분류를 위한 1:1,000 수치지형도 활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Utilizing 1:1,000 Digital Topographic Data for Urban Landuse Classification)

  • 기존의 토지이용 분류방법은 현장조사에 의존하거나 항공사진 판독기법을 사용하므로 상대적으로 시간과 비용의 소요가 큰 편이다. 특히나 도시지역은 토지이용이 복잡하고 집약적이므로 위성영상을 활용해 분류하는데 한계가 있는 실정이다. 이러한 배경에서 본 연구에서는 1:1,000 수치지형도와 IKONOS 위성영상을 혼합 활용하는 토지이용 분류기법을 제기하였다. 본 연구에서 제기한 분류기법의 활용가능성을 파악하기 위하여 서울시 일부지역을 대상으로 실험분석을 수행하였으며, 그 결과 95%의 전체정확도와 14개의 토지이용 항목이 분류되었다. 실험분석의 결과로 미루어 본 연구에서 제기한 분류기법은 도시지역 토지이용분류에 적용 가능한 것으로 판단된다.

기능성 농촌작업복 개발을 위한 예비연구 (A Pilot Study for the Development of Functional Rural Workwear)

  • A questionnaire survey of farmers engaged in actual farming was conducted to investigate the farmers' actual wearing conditions and preferences for agricultural workwear to develop workwear that is suitable for improved agricultural work efficiency. We extracted basic data necessary for the development of agricultural workwear. Analysis of the photographs taken showed differences in the shoes and gloves worn depending on the type of work. The percentages of men and women were equal among the agricultural workers. The age of the agricultural workers was analyzed and the results showed a higher percentage of those over 50 years old, indicating that the age of the agricultural workers was higher than in other industries. It was found that the waist, knees, and elbows of the workers were pulled during work, and analysis showed that the symptoms resulting from clothing pulling were more severe when the wearing dimensions were larger. It was recognized that the important aspects of workwear are those related to work, such as functionality, activity, and work efficiency. In addition to workwear, the most commonly worn auxiliary equipment was gloves, and other items included hats, armbands, work shoes, boots, seat chairs, and masks. When developing rural workwear, it is necessary to consider the fit, type of work, and materials of the workwear. Future research should focus on materials that can improve the functionality of workwear and pattern development that reflects physical and movement characteristics.

불면증 변증도구 신뢰도와 타당도 평가 및 심리검사와의 상관성에 대한 초기연구 (A Pilot Study of Evaluating the Reliability and Validity of Pattern Identification Tool for Insomnia and Analyzing Correlation with Psychological Tests)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the reliability and validity of the instrument on pattern identification for insomnia (PIT-Insomnia) and verify the correlation between PIT-Insomnia and psychological tests. Methods: Two evaluators examined the pattern identification of the participants who met insomnia disorder diagnostic criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorder, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) and took the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) score over 15 once manually and twice using the PIT-Insomnia to measure the inter-rater and test-retest reliability. We also conducted the following surveys: the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the Korean version of Beck's depression inventory (K-BDI), the Korean version of the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI-K), the Korean Symptom checklist-95 (KSCL-95), and the EuroQol-5 dimension (EQ-5D), to measure concurrent validity and correlation between the PTI-Insomnia and psychological tests. Results: 1. The test-retest reliability analysis of the pattern identification results showed moderate agreement, and test-retest reliability analysis of each pattern identification score showed agreements from poor to moderate. 2. The inter-rater reliability analysis of the pattern identification results via manual showed slight agreement, when analysis was performed with calibration, the inter-rater reliability analysis of the pattern identification results via manual showed fair agreement. 3. The concordance analysis between results via manual and the PIT-Insomnia showed poor agreement, when the analysis was performed with calibration, concordance analysis showed fair agreement. 4. The concordance analysis between the PIT-Insomnia and the PSQI showed positive linear correlation. 5. The concordance analysis between the PIT-Insomnia and the PSQI, K-BDI, STAI-K, KSCL-95, and EQ-5D showed that non-interaction between the heart and kidney have positive linear correlation with the K-BDI, anxiety item of KSCL-95, dual deficiency of the heart-spleen have positive linear correlation with somatization item of KSCL-95, paranoia item of KSCL-95, heart deficiency with timidity have positive linear correlation with stress vulnerability item of KSCL-95, parania item of KSCL-95, phlegm-fire harassing the heart have positive linear correlation with K-BDI, paranoia item of KSCL-95, depressed liver qi transforming into fire have positive linear correlation with the anxiety item of KSCL-95, parania item of KSCL-95, all pattern identification have negative linear correlation with EQ-5D. Conclusions: The PIT-Insomnia has moderate agreement of reliability and reflects the severity of insomnia since it has some concurrent validity with the PSQI. There are some correlations between the PTI-Insomnia with specific psychological tests, so we could suggest it can be used appropriately in the clinical situation.

청소년 비행화과정에 관한 연구 - 중학생을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Process of Being Delinquent)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 청소년 비행과 관련된 요인과 그 과정을 생태체계적 관점에서 분석하여 실제 프로그램에 대한 함의를 얻는 것이다. 본 연구는 일반지역과 저소득층 밀집지역을 비교함으로써 비행화 요인 및 그 과점에 대한 정보를 얻고자 하였다. 목적표본추출방식에 의거 두 유형의 세 지역에서 여섯 학교를 선정한 후 1,116명의 표본을 대상으로 구조화된 조사도구를 가지고 설문조사를 하였다. 조사도구는 예비조사를 통해 신뢰도 및 타당도 검증을 거친 후, 최종적으로 '개인요인,' '가족요인,' '친구요인,' '학교요인,' 그리고 '비행요인' 등 총 130문항으로 구성된 것이었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Windows 7.0을 통해 분석되었다. 기본적인 분석을 통해서는 두 집단간의 비행정도에 있어서의 차이를 발견할 수 없었다. 그러나 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 두 집단간에 독립변인과 종속변인과의 상관관계 유형에 있어서 차이가 있음이 발견되었다. 이는 "비행"이라는 '결과'는 모두 같은 것일 수 있으나, "비행화"라는 '과정'은 모두 같지 않을 수도 있음을 의미하는 것이다. 본 연구에서 '과정'에 있어서의 차이는 회귀모형을 이용한 경로분석을 통해 보다 구체적으로 밝혀졌다. 그 결과, 전체적으로 보았을 경우 비행화에 가장 큰 효과를 미치는 것은 '친구변인'인 것으로 밝혀졌으나, 일반지역의 경우에는 '학교요인'이 그리고 저소득층밀집지역의 경우에는 '가족요인'이 비행화에 가장 큰 효과를 미치고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 청소년 비행에 대하여 보편적 접근이 아닌 통합적이되 차별적인 접근이 미루어져야 함을 시사하는 것이다.

Burst OFDM 시스템을 위한 차동 상관 기반의 프레임 동기 알고리즘 (Frame Synchronization Algorithm based on Differential Correlation for Burst OFDM System)

  • 버스트 방식 OFDM 시스템에서의 프레임 동기는 수신된 프레임의 시작 위치를 판단하고, 정확한 FPT-window 위치 추정을 위해 가장 우선적으로 수행되어야 한다. 유효 OFDM 심볼 내의 규정된 반복 패턴 또는 보호 구간의 상관을 이용하는 기존의 일반적인 프레임 동기 방식은 연속적으로 증가하다 감소하는 상관 출력 특성에 의해 정확한 프레임 시작 지점 검출이 어려우며, 수신 신호와 기준 신호 간의 상관 특성을 이용하는 방식은 주파수 옵셋으로 인한 성능 열화를 초래한다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 프레임 동기 방식으로서 주파수 옵셋에 강인하고 정확한 프레임 시점 검출이 가능한 차동 상관(Differential Correlation) 방식을 기반으로 한 새로운 알고리즘을 제안하였다. 그러나, 일반적인 차동 신호의 상관 결과는 프리앰블의 반복 구조에 의해 다수의 Peak를 가지게 되며 이로 인하여 정확한 프레임 동기의 검출 성능이 열화된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 차동 검출 방식의 단점을 보완하기 위하여 차동 신호 생성 시 반복되는 동일 패턴 구간의 샘플을 이용하여 단일 상관 Peak를 갖는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 다중경로 페이딩 채널 환경에서 페이딩에 의한 프레임 시작 위치 검출 에러를 줄이기 위하여 신호 전력으로 상관 출력 값을 정규화하는 블록을 도입함으로써 고속 이동 채널 환경에서의 프레임 시작 지점 검출 확률을 높였다.

  • 산업생산 전반의 생산성 향상에 기여하는 디지털전환 산업과 함께 탄소중립 및 지속가능 성장을 위한 스마트그린 산업이 미래산업으로 성장하고 있다. 이 논문은 스마트그린 산업의 성장 동인과 입지패턴 변화 분석을 통해 미래산업 혁신생태계에서의 동 산업의 위상 및 역할 모색을 연구목적으로 한다. 동 산업은 수도권과 비수도권 모든 지역에서 증가세를 보이며, 비수도권 비도시 지역에서도 뚜렷한 산업 성장세를 확인할 수 있다. 특히, 스마트 그린 산단 시범사업, 광주전남 혁신도시 조성, 신재생에너지 정책 추진 등으로 호남권 및 충남 해안지역의 핵심 집적지(HH형) 부상, 경상권 지역에 고립 중심지(HL형) 형성 등 비수도권 지역에서 신재생에너지 생산기업의 집적이 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 스마트그린 산업은 정책적 요인이 성장 촉발 요인이며, 다극형 허브(Hub)-스포크(Spoke) 네트워크 구조를 형성하는 미래산업 혁신생태계에서 비도시지역의 다양한 특성화 소거점(Spoke) 형성을 촉진할 것으로 기대된다.
