공군 조종사 직무스트레스 요인과 이직의도 상관관계 연구 (A study on the relationship between the job stress factors and the turnover intention on the pilots of the Korean Air Force)

  • This study focused to find the main factors causing job stress to ROKAF pilots and of which factors affects to turnover intention. As a results, the factors of job stress are job characteristics, over loaded ground work, payment, promotion and employee benefits & service system. All of these 5 factors are positively related to the causes of a pilot stress. Among the job stress factors, payment, promotion and over loaded ground work are positively related as the same order. But, job characteristics and employee benefits & service system are not. Even though ROKAF pilots are stressed by annual requirement and night flying, and also are stressed by unfulfilled welfare, those two stress factors are not related to the turnover intention.

교육전담간호사 제도 시범사업 적용에 따른 일 의료기관에서의 성과 (Application and Evaluation of the Pilot Program for the Education Nurse System in a Medical Institution)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to evaluate the performance following the application of the pilot program for the education nurse system of the Ministry of Health and Welfare in a medical institution. Methods: This study was employed a non-homogeneous comparative group design by comparing new nurses who entered the medical institution after the pilot project from December 2019 to April 2020 with new nurses who entered before the pilot project during the same period. Satisfaction, academic achievement, job adaptation, personal turnover within one year, and patient safety incident rate were investigated as performance indicators. Results: After the pilot project, the overall satisfaction among new nurses, preceptors, and fellow nurses increased, but there were no significant changes in academic achievement and job adaptation in new nurses. The personal turnover rate decreased from 15.6% to 9.1%, and the patient safety incident rate also decreased from 26.3% to 15.7%. Also, the preceptor overtime also decreased from 3.67 to 0.66 hours. Conclusion: The performance of the pilot project for the education nurse system was related to improvements in satisfaction, turnover rate of new nurses, patient safety incident rate, and preceptor overtime. Above all long-term monitoring of each performance indicator is necessary through the continuation of the education nurse system of the Ministry of Health and Welfare.

Privacy Enhanced Data Security Mechanism in a Large-Scale Distributed Computing System for HTC and MTC

  • We developed a pilot-job based large-scale distributed computing system to support HTC and MTC, called HTCaaS (High-Throughput Computing as a Service), which helps scientists solve large-scale scientific problems in areas such as pharmaceutical domains, high-energy physics, nuclear physics and bio science. Since most of these problems involve critical data that affect the national economy and activate basic industries, data privacy is a very important issue. In this paper, we implement a privacy enhanced data security mechanism to support HTC and MTC in a large-scale distributed computing system and show how this technique affects performance in our system. With this mechanism, users can securely store data in our system.

직무분석을 통한 회전익 항공기 조종사 적성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Aptitude for Helicopter Pilots through the Job Analysis)

  • The operational environment of helicopters extends from the civil air traffic control system to remote and hazardous areas and from day operations under visual flight conditions to night operations in adverse weather. Helicopters can move in any direction, remain stationary while airborne, climb and descend vertically, and take off and land almost anywhere. Thus their range of maneuvers and control requirements vary more widely than do those of fixed-wing aircraft. In this study, I analyzed the job of helicopter pilot through methods of observation, and classified the required ability of them into the domain of cognitive, perceptual/spatial, psychomotor. I expect that the result of this study will be used to aid training and selection of helicopter pilot.

비행안전 위해(Hazard)요인이 조종사의 안전행동에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Job Stress and Hazard Factors on Pilot Safety Behavior)

  • 항공산업의 발전에도 불구하고 조종사의 인적오류에 의한 항공기 사고는 지속해서 발생하고 있다. 인적오류에 의한 항공기 사고의 원인은 비행안전을 저해하는 위해(hazard) 요인을 사전에 제거하지 못해 사고로 이어지는 것이다. 본 연구는 국내 항공사에 근무하는 운항승무원과 일반항공 (general aviation)의 조종사를 대상으로, 비행안전을 위협하는 여러 가지 위해 요인 중에서 조종사에게 심리적, 신체적으로 영향을 미치는 직무스트레스와 피로, 불안감이 안전행동에는 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 아울러 직무스트레스와 안전행동의 간에 안전문화의 매개효과를 확인하기 위한 실증분석을 실시하였다. 연구 결과에 의하면 직무스트레스는 조종사의 안전행동에 직접적인 영향을 줄 뿐만이 아니라 안전분위기, 보고문화와 같은 항공사의 안전문화에도 영향을 미친다는 것이다. 이러한 조종사의 직무스트레스와 안전문화, 안전행동간의 상관관계를 통해 안전관리시스템의 성과를 제고하고자 한다.

Privacy Enhanced Security Mechanism for Grid Applications

  • Grid system is based on the Grid Security Infrastructure (GSI). GSI uses user's proxy to guarantee availability among multi-trust domains. Since grid system has been developed focusing on availability, GSI provides authentication and authorization performed by systems, but there are lacks of privacy consideration. For this reason, some researchers decide to use their own cluster system and do not want to use public grid systems. In this paper, we introduce a new privacy enhanced security mechanism for grid systems. With this mechanism, user can participate in resource allocation and authorization to user's contents more actively. This mechanism does not need to change previous middleware and minimize the computational overheads.

비행 임무에 따른 조종사 스트레스 차이에 대한 연구 (A Study on the Differences in Pilot Stress according to Flight Missions)

  • This study is a study to analyze the stress difference of pilots according to the category of aircraft. According to previous studies, pilot stress is affected by several factors such as flight time, fatigue regulation, and operating environment, and it is known that stress also affects cardiac variability. In this paper, we analyzed that there is a difference in stress according to the operating environment through airline pilots and pilots of educational institutions, and then tested the difference in stress between airplane pilots and helicopter pilots. This study differs in that it is a study that has almost no empirical research on pilot fatigue and stress considering the role of flight crew members and operational conditions for each mission. If we expand and verify the sample of the results for the stress difference in the future, it will be a great contribution to practical aviation safety research in connection with the fatigue risk management system in the future.

Ground Test and Evaluation of a Flight Control Systemfor Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

  • UAV(Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) has become one of the most popularmilitary/commercial aerial robots in the new millennium. In spite of all theadvantages that UAVs inherently have, it is not an easv job to develop a UAVbecause it requires very systematic and complete approaches in full developmentenvelop. The ground test and evaluation phase has the utmost importance in thesense that a well-developed system can be best verified on the ground. In addition,many of the aircraft crashes in the flight tests were resulted from the incompletedevelopment procedure. In this research, a verification procedure of the wholeairbome integrated system was conducted including the flight management system.An airbome flight control computer(FCC) senses the extemal environment from thepehpheral devices and sends the control signal to the actuating system using theassigned control logic and flight test strategy. A ground test station controls themission during the test while the downlink data are transferred from the flightmanagement computer using the serial communication interface. The pilot controlbox also applies additional manual actuating commands. The whole system wastested/verified on the wind-tunnel system, which gave a good pitch controlperformance with a preUspecified flight test procedure. The ground test systemguarantees the performance of fundamental functions of airbome electronic systemfor the future flight tests.

증강현실 기반의 비정형 건축물 건설관리 의사결정지원시스템 개발에 관한 기초적 연구 (A Pilot Study on the Development of an Augmented Reality-based Decision Support System for Free-Form Buildings Construction Management)

  • The BIM simulation systems involve inefficient aspects in delivering real world circumstances because they are operated in the virtual reality (VR) environment without representing the job-site operations. Differently from VR, augmented reality (AR) enhances the reflection of job-site reality to virtual environment. AR influences architecture, design and construction. This reality replaces or merges with the normal physical world and it can be tailored to enhance comprehension for specific design and construction activities. The main objective of this research is to develop an AR-based decision support system for free-form buildings design/construction/maintenance processes. Haewoojae, a free-form housing building built in Seoul area is identified as a model building to generate the system. Seventeen engineers, who are masters or doctorate graduate students at the S university in Seoul and have been working in the Korean construction industry for more than 10 years are invited to validate the system's appropriateness and usability in comparison with its development objectives.

WORKFORCE INFORMATION DATABASE AND RFID TECHNOLOGY TO TRACK AND MANAGE WORKFORCE INFORMATION

  • Workforce information is important in production planning because production planning requires matching a production unit's capacity to loads of assignments. However, tracking and managing workforce information such as skills and accident history is not an easy job. This paper describes a prototype database system for a workforce database system that employs RFID technology. This system tracks daily workforce production capacity on sites. A pilot project is described to explore the benefits and possibility of using radio-frequency identification (RFID) to track and manage workforce information, and is followed by the results of a survey to identify benefits. In addition to the survey identifying the benefits of the database system, the paper also presents a list of challenges through a series of interviews.
