육각형 압전변압기의 전기적 출력 특성 (Electrical Characteristics of the Hexagon-type Piezoelectric Transformer)

  • In this paper, a hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer was investigated to increase the output power. The length of its side was 14mm and 17.5mm, respectively. The piezoelectric ceramics was composed to PZT-PMN-PSN. This composition showed the characteristics which had an about 1500 of the mechanical Q-factor, 0.55 of the electromechanical coupling coefficient, $320{\times}10^{-12}C/N$ of the piezoelectric constant $d_{31}$, 0.3 % of the dissipation factor, etc. The voltage step-up ratio increased with increasing the load resistance, $R_{L}$, so it reached 80 with $R_{L}$ of $1M{\Omega}$ and was proportion to the length of side of the hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer. Also, the output power increased with increasing the size of the hexagon-type piezoelectric transformer.

  • This paper presents a new sort of multilayer piezoelectric ceramic transformer for switching regulation power supplies. This piezoelectric transformer operate in the second thickness resonant vibration mode. Accordingly its resonant frequency is higher than 1 NHz, Because output power is low if input and output part of transformer are consisted of single layer, this research suggests a new method, which is consisted of both input and output part of transformer have 2-layered piezoelectric ceramics, The size of transformer is 20 mm in width and length, and 1.4 mm in thickness, respectively, To design a high efficient switching circuit of the transformer, internal circuit parameters were measured and then weve calculated a parameter of inductor nd capacitor to design a driving circuit, Weve used a MISFET and its driver circuit modified a calp oscillator circuit as the primary switching circuit.

  • In this study, contour vibration mode piezoelectric transformer with size of 27.5${\times}$27.5${\times}$2.6mm$^3$ using PNW-PMN-PZT ceramic was fabricated. And the piezoelectric transformer was adopted to fluorescent lamp ballast circuit. Electrical characteristics of the piezoelectric transformer were investigated for fluorescent lamp ballast application. The electrical properties and characteristic temperature rise were measured using oscilloscope and infrared temperature sensor. A 28W fluorescent lamp was successfully driven by the fabricated ballast circuit. After driving the lamp using ballast circuit for 24 min, the output power, efficiency and characteristic temperature rise of piezoelectric transformer showed the appropriate values of 28.85[W], 86.3[%] and 15[$^{\circ}C$], respectively.

저온소결 PMN-PNN-PZT 세라믹스를 이용한 고출력 강압용 적층 압전변압기의 전기적 특성 (Electrical Properties of High Power Step Down Multilayer Piezoelectric Transformer using Low Temperature Sintering PMN-PNN-PZT Ceramics)

  • In this study, multilayer piezoelectric transformer was manufactured using the PMN-PNN-PZT ceramic and then the electrical characteristics were investigated according to the variations of frequency and load resistance. The voltage step-up ratio of multilayer piezoelectric transformer showed the maximum value at the vicinity of 75 kHz and increased according to the increase of load resistance. When the output impedance coincided with the load resistance, the multilayer piezoelectric transformer showed the temperature rise of less than $20^{\circ}C$ at the output power of 20 W. As the results, the multilayer piezoelectric transformer manufactured at low co-firing temperature of $940^{\circ}C$ using PMN-PNN-PZT ceramics could be stably driven as the step-down transformers.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the material for multiayer piezoelectric ceramic transformer because multiayer piezoelectric transformer must need low sintering temperature. So that PMN-PSN-PZT family ceramics were added with glass brit(SiO$_2$ $.$ PbO). The dielectric and piezoelectric properties were increased with increasing it until the amounts of additive 0.8wt%. Sintering temperature were low about 100[$^{\circ}C$]. Accordingly, This material could be used to multiayer piezoelectric transformer .

  • This paper present a new disk-type piezoelectric transformer. The input side of the transformer has a crescent-shaped electrode and the output side has a focused poling direction. This transformer has multi-layered structure. The piezoelectric transformers operated m each transformer's resonance vibration mode. The electrodes and poling directions on commercialy available piezoelectric ceramic disks were designed so that the planar or shear mode coupling factor ($k_p,\;k_{15}$) becomes effective rather than the transverse mode coupling factor ($k_{31}$). The Resonance frequency is 65.22[kHz] and maximum voltage step-up ratio is 149. Multi-layered transformer has better efficiency and step-up ratio than the single-layered transformer.

  • The characteristics of a multilayer piezoelectric transformer were investigated using 0.05Pb(A $l_{0.5}$N $b_{0.5}$) $O_3$-0.95Pb(Z $r_{0.52}$ $Ti_{0.48}$) $O_3$+0.9wt%N $b_2$ $O_{5}$+0.5wt%Mn $O_2$+0.04wt% $V_2$ $O_{5}$ ceramics. The multilayer piezoelectric trans formers were developed for voltage step-up. The multilayer ceramic technology was applied in piezoelectric transformer. The electrical characteristics of the piezoelectric transformer (33x8.5x1mm) has the efficiency of above 85%, step-up ratio of 70 under the 130 kΩ load, and driving frequency of 93.5kHz, respectively.ctively.y.y.

  • This paper presents a new sort of multilayer piezoelectric ceramice transformer for switching regulatied power supplies. And this paper presents the study and development of a DC-DC converter with a transformer made from piezoelectric materials. This piezoelectric transformer operate, in the second thickness extensional vibration mode. Its resonant frequency is higher than 1MHz, This piezoelectric transformer was used the PbTiO$_3$ family ceramics because it was a material large anisotropy between electromechanical coupling factors k$_{t}$ and k$_{p}$.   • In this study, multilayer piezoelectric transformer were manufactured using the PZN-PMN-PZT ceramic and then the electrical characteristics were investigated. The voltage step-up ratio of multilayer piezoelectric transformer showed the maximum value in the vicinity of 78.16kHz and increased according to the increase of load resistance. When the output impedance coincided with the load resistance, piezoelectric transformer showed the temperature increase of about $20^{\circ}C$ at the output power of 12W. The results, the multilayer transformer manufactured using the low temperature sintered PZN-PMN-PZT ceramics can be stably driven for step-up transformers.
