진동신호 무선 수집에 대한 연구 (Study on Wireless Acquisition of Vibration Signals)

  • A Wi-Fi signal network (WSN) system is introduced in this paper. This system consists of several data-transmitting sensor modules and a data-receiving server. Each sensor module and the server contain a unique intranet IP address. A piezoelectric accelerometer with a bandwidth of 12 kHz, a 24-bit analog-digital converter with a sampling rate of 15.625 kS/s, a 32-bit microprocessor unit, and a 1-Mbps Wi-Fi module are used in the data-transmitting sensor module. A 300-Mbps router and a PC are used in the server. The system is verified using an accelerometer calibrator. The voltage output from the sensor is converted into 24-bit digital data and transmitted via the Wi-Fi module. These data are received by a Wi-Fi router connected to a PC. The input frequencies of the accelerometer calibrator (320 Hz, 640 Hz, and 1280 Hz) are used in the data transfer verification. The received data are compared to the data retrieved directly from the analog-to-digital converter used in the sensor module. The comparison shows that the developed system represents the original data considerably well. Theoretically, the system can acquire vibration signals from 600 sensor modules at an accelerometer bandwidth of 15.625 kHz. However, delay exists owing to software processes, multiplexing between sensor modules, and the use of non-real time operating system. Hence, it is recommended that this system may be used to acquire vibration signals with up to 10 kHz, which is approximately 70% of the theoretical maximum speed of the system. DOB-based piezoelectric vibration control for stiffened plate considering accelerometer measurement noise

  • This paper presents a composite control strategy for the active suppression of vibration due to the unknown disturbances, such as external excitation, harmonic effects and control spillover, as well as high-frequency accelerometer measurement noise in the all-clamped stiffened plate. The proposed composite control action based on the modal approach, consists of two contributions including feedback part and feedforward part. The feedback part is the well-known PID controller, which is widely used to increase the structure damping and improve its dynamic performance close to the resonance frequencies. In order to get better performance for vibration suppression, the weight matrixes is optimized by chaos sequence. Then an improved disturbance observer (IDOB) as the feedforward compensation part is developed to enhance the vibration suppression performance of PID under various disturbances and uncertainties. The proposed IDOB can simultaneously estimate the various disturbances dynamically as well as measurement noise acting on the system and suppress them by feedforward compensation design. A rigorous analysis is also given to show why the IDOB can effectively suppress the unknown disturbances and measurement noise. In order to verify the proposed composite control algorithm (IDOB-PID), the dSPACE real-time simulation platform is used and an experimental platform for the all-clamped stiffened plate active vibration control system is set up. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness, practicality and strong anti-disturbances ability of the proposed control strategy.

  • This paper presents a study of low frequencies volume velocity vibration control of a smart panel in order to reduce sound transmission. A distributed piezoelectric quadratically shaped polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) polymer film is used as a uniform force actuator and an array of $4\;{\times}\;4$ accelerometer is used as a volume velocity sensor for the implementation of a single-input single-output control system. The theoretical and experimental study of sensor-.actuator frequency response function shows that this sensor-actuator arrangement provides a required strictly positive real frequency response function below about 900 Hz. Direct velocity feedback could therefore be implemented with a limited gain which gives reductions of about 15 dB in vibration level and about 8 dB in acoustic power level at the (1,1) mode of the smart panel. It has been also shown that the shaping error of PVDF actuator could limit the stability and performance of the control system.

  • This research is concerned with the study of an active vibration absorber using piezoelectric actuators and Isolation pad. The active isolation system consists of 4-pairs of PZT actuators bonded on the surface of an aluminum plate and a passive damping material. The active system is connected to the passive system in series. The Signals of the accelerometers are fed into the PZT actuator through the controller. We proposed a new control technique which can deal with the shock as well as the base excitation in this study. The Positive Acceleration Feedback(PAE) tuned to the natural frequency of the vibration isolation system is used to suppress the vibrations caused by the shock using the top accelerometer signal. The Negative Acceleration Feedback (NAF) based on the base acceleration signal is used to counteract the base motion. Experimental results show that the proposed active vibration isolation system can suppress vibrations.

보의 진동제어를 위한 압전 액추에이터의 길이변화 효과 연구 (Effect of Piezoactuator Length Variation for Vibration Control of Beams)

  • This paper presents an approach to define an optimal piezoactuator length to actively control structural vibration. The optimal ratio of the piezoactuator length against beam length when a pair of piezoceramic actuator and accelerometer is used to suppress unwanted vibration with direct velocity feedback (DVFB) control strategy is not clearly defined so far. It is well known that direct velocity feedback (DVFB) control can be very useful when a pair of sensor and actuator is collocated on structures with a high gain and excellent stability. It is considered that three different collocated pairs of piezoelectric actuators (20, 50 and 100 mm) and accelerometers installed on three identical clamped-clamped beams (300 * 20 * 1 mm). The response of each sensor-actuator pair requires strictly positive real (SPR) property to apply a high feedback gain. However the length of the piezoactuator affects SPR property of the sensor-actuator response. Intensive simulation and experiment shows the effect of the actuator length variation is strongly related with the frequency range of SPR property. A shorter actuator gave a wider SPR frequency range as a longer one had a narrower range. The shorter actuator showed limited control performance in spite of a higher gain was applied because the actuation force was relatively small. Thus an optimal length ratio (actuator length/beam length) was suggested to obtain relevant performance with good stability with DVFB strategy. The result of this investigation could give important information in the design of active control system to suppress unwanted vibration of smart structures with piezoelectric actuators and accelerometers.

고준위방사성폐기물 처분장 모니터링용 피에조센서의 온도 스트레스에 관한 가속수명시험 설계 (Design of accelerated life test on temperature stress of piezoelectric sensor for monitoring high-level nuclear waste repository)

  • 고준위방사성폐기물 처분장은 심지층 처분시스템으로 사용후핵연료를 취급하는 특성상 고온, 방사선 및 지하수 등의 복합적인 환경조건에 노출되어 있다. 지속적인 노출에 의해 시간이 지남에 따라 구조물의 균열 및 열화가 발생할 수 있다. 한편 고준위방사성폐기물 처분장은 초장기 기대수명이 요구되며 이에 따른 장기적인 구조물 건전성 모니터링이 필수적이다. 구조물 건전성 모니터링에는 가속도계, 토압계, 변위계 등 다양한 센서들이 활용될 수 있으며, 이 중 일반적으로 피에조센서가 사용된다. 따라서 피에조센서의 내구성 평가를 바탕으로 고내구성 센서를 개발할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 피에조센서의 내구성 평가 및 수명예측을 위한 가속수명시험을 설계하였다. 문헌연구를 바탕으로 단일 스트레스 인자에 대한 가속 스트레스 수준 수 및 각 수준 별 시료 수를 선정하였다. 또한 고준위방사성폐기물 처분장 환경조건에서 발생할 수 있는 피에조센서의 고장모드 및 고장메커니즘을 분석하였다. 온도 스트레스 인자에 대한 최대 가혹조건 탐색 실험을 두 가지 방법으로 제안하였으며 피에조센서의 신뢰도 높은 동작한계를 도출하였다. 이를 이용하여 가속수명시험의 합리적인 가속 스트레스 수준을 설정하였다. 본 연구에서 제시된 최대 가혹조건 탐색 실험방법은 경제적이며 실용적인 아이디어를 담고 있으며, 추후 피에조센서의 가속수명시험 설계에 널리 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

압전저항형 멤스센서를 이용한 진동 측정용 3축 센서 시스템의 최적화 설계 (Optimum Design of 3-Axis Sensor System for Vibration Measurement Using Piezoresistive type MEMS Sensor)

  • 3-Axis sensor measurement system is needed for measuring ride quality of elevator. But because 3-Axis piezoelectric accelerometer is expensive. We developed 3-Axis sensor system which is suitable for measuring ride quality of elevator using cheap MEMS sensor. There are two types of MEMS sensor that are piezoresistive and capacitive type. The excellence of piezoresistive type in characteristic of frequency response and noise is confirmed compare to capacitive type as a result of this paper's experiment and reference. 3-Axis system using MEMS sensor needs MEMS's proper frequency response characteristic. Additionally noise characteristic of sensor and circuit, stiffness of assembly are needed for deciding frequency range and accuracy of amplitude.
