One of the construction methods applied as a pier foundation type is a single type cast-in-place pile. In applying a pile bent system as a foundation type, the main concern in designing can be said to secure the lateral bearing capacity of pile structure in system. In addition, to increase the rigidity of the pile structure, a method of increasing the lateral bearing capacity by reinforcing the pile structure with a casing has been used. However, although the reinforcing effect and appropriate reinforcing length of casing may vary depending on the soil conditions, there is insufficient studies on this, and for this reason, the entire pile structure in a pile bent system is reinforced with a casing, in the field. In addition, if the length of the entire pile is reinforced with a casing, it may lead to delays in construction and increase in construction costs. That is, in order to more effectively reinforce the pile structure with a casing, it is necessary to study the lateral bearing characteristics of the reinforced pile structure in system. And it should be determined the appropriate reinforcing length of the casing from the evaluated bearing characteristics. Therefore, in this study, the lateral bearing characteristics of piles applied with the reinforcing length of casing for each condition were evaluated through a numerical analysis. And, based on the analysis results, the appropriate reinforcing length of casing was proposed. As a result of the study, it was found that in order to effectively increase the lateral bearing capacity of pile structure, the reinforcing length of casing should be applied twice the influence range of the bending behavior of the pile, 1/β.
Most of the downstream of the river is blocked by beams, so fishways are required for the movement of conciliatory fish species and connection with the upstream. Therefore, it is very important as an ecological pier that can help free movement of fish. The three previously installed eel ladders use only brushes on the bottom. For find out the effect of the bottom material except to brush, experimented used model glass eel ladders to the ascent of glass eel. The eel ladder model was 1.2 m length, 0.3 m wide, and 0.1 m high, and three gravels of different particles were attached to the bottom of the fish ladder setting on the Geumgang Estuary Bank. The first model ladder was made of gravel with particles of 5 mm, and the second model ladder was made of gravel with particles of 2 mm. The third model ladder was made by solidifying with particles of 1 mm or less cement. All experiments were repeated 5 times for 1 hour. As a result of the experiment, the lower the angle, and the smaller the gravel particles, the more glass eels are ascended to the ladder, but the made of cement was nearly not ascent. The gravel-bottom model ladder has a lower discharge and flow rate than the brush ladder so more glass eels can ascent ladder, and if the glass eel ladder is improved through experiments applying various floor materials and variables in the future, more glass eels are going to ascent glass eel ladder.

After the occurrence of several passenger ship accidents in Korea, various systems are being developed for passenger ship safety management. A total of 162 passenger ships operate along the coast of Korea, of which 105 (65 %) are car-ferries with open vehicle decks. The car-ferry has a navigation pattern that passes through 2 to 4 islands. Safety inspections at the departure point(home port) are carried out by the crew, the operation supervisor of the operation management office, and the maritime safety supervisor. In some cases, self-inspections are carried out for safety inspections at layovers. As with any system, there are institutional and practical limitations. To this end, this study was conducted to suggest a method of detecting a vehicle using image processing and linking it to the calculations for ship stability. For vehicle detection, a method using a difference image and one using machine learning were used. However, a limitation was observed in these methods that the vehicle could not be identified due to strong background lighting from the pier and the ship in the cases where the camera was backlit such as during sunset or at night. It appears necessary to secure sufficient image data and upgrade the program for stable image processing.

As this exercise has proceed, Pusan also have arranged development strategy definitely and prepared provisions systematically. Engaging to participate center of delivery system is meant to be completed complex functions, namely the transfer storage processing & assembly function of international commodity. Pusan has ability to be terminal point of TSR. it had been connected to EC as the biggest economy block and TKR as complex transportation root to Far East, it would be the center of inground and seabase delivery terminal to Rotterdom as the biggest container pier and major piers to North-East and South East Asia. In order to provide a Role of 21 century's internationalization, Pusan has appealed to participate in management information research and development connected to Pohang-Ulsan-Changwon-Masan, and has utilized efficiently the resources such as man, material, money and information.
Purpose: Although many studies on seismic fragility analysis of general bridges have been conducted using machine learning methods, studies on curved bridge structures are insignificant. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to analyze the seismic fragility of bridges with I-shaped curved girders based on the machine learning method considering the material property and geometric uncertainties. Method: Material properties and pier height were considered as uncertainty parameters. Parameters were sampled using the Latin hypercube technique and time history analysis was performed considering the seismic uncertainty. Machine learning data was created by applying artificial neural network and response surface analysis method to the original data. Finally, earthquake fragility analysis was performed using original data and learning data. Result: Parameters were sampled using the Latin hypercube technique, and a total of 160 time history analyzes were performed considering the uncertainty of the earthquake. The analysis result and the predicted value obtained through machine learning were compared, and the coefficient of determination was compared to compare the similarity between the two values. The coefficient of determination of the response surface method was 0.737, which was relatively similar to the observed value. The seismic fragility curve also showed that the predicted value through the response surface method was similar to the observed value. Conclusion: In this study, when the observed value through the finite element analysis and the predicted value through the machine learning method were compared, it was found that the response surface method predicted a result similar to the observed value. However, both machine learning methods were found to underestimate the observed values.

Sea level rise due to global warming is accelerating. According to the IPCC survey, the expected sea level rise in 2100 was analyzed to be 47cm in the low-carbon scenario (SSP 1-2.6) and 82cm in the high-carbon scenario (SSP 5-8.5). Sea level rise can cause serious damage to port infrastructure and reduce the safety of ships docked inside ports. In this study, Mokpo Port, which frequently suffers from flooding during high tide, was selected and the sensitivity of mooring evaluation factors was analyzed for actual berthing ships according to sea level rise scenarios. From the analysis, we found that the tension of mooring line, the load of bollard, vertical angle of mooring line, and ship's motion of 6-DOF, which are evaluation factors, generally increased when the sea level increased. The most sensitive evaluation factor was sway motion of 6-DOF. Also, we analyzed that the value of mooring evaluation factors decreased when the crown height was raised. This was beneficial in improving ship and pier safety. The results of this study can be used as basic data to secure measures to improve port and ship safety according to sea level rise in Mokpo Port.
Piles of a bridge pier are connected with the column through the pile cap (footing). Behavior of the pile foundation can be different according to the connection method between piles and the pile cap. Connection methods between pile heads and the pile cap are divided into two groups : rigid connections and hinge connections. Domestic design code has been specified to use rigid connection method for the highway bridge. In the rigid connection method, maximum bending moment of a pile occurs at the pile head and this helps the pile to prevent the excessive displacement. Rigid methods are also good to improve the seismic performance. However, some specifications prescribe that conservative results through investigations of both the fixed-head condition and the free-head condition should be reflected in the design. This statement may induce an over-estimated design for the bridge which has high-quality structures with casing covered drilled shafts and the PC-house contained pile cap. Because the assumption of free-head conditions (hinge connections) is unreal for the elevated pile cap system with multiple piles of the long span sea-crossing bridges. On the other hand, elastic displacement method to evaluate the pile reactions under the pile cap is not suitable for this type of bridges due to impractical assumptions. So, full modeling techniques which analyze the superstructure and the substructure simultaneously should be performed. Loads and stress state of the large diameter drilled shaft and the pile cap for Incheon Bridge which will be the longest bridge of Korea were investigated through the full modeling for rigid connection conditions.
In this study, the lateral behavior of Pile-Bent structures subjected to lateral loading was evaluated by a load-transfer approach. An analytical method based on the Beam-Column model and nonlinear load transfer curve method was proposed to consider material non-linearity (elastic and yielding) and $P-{\Delta}$ effect. Special attention was given to the lateral deflection of Pile-Bent structures depending on different soil properties, lateral load, slenderness ratio based on pier length and reinforcing effect of casing. From the results of the parametric study, it is shown that the increase of lateral displacement in a pile is much less favorable for an inelastic analysis than for an elastic analysis. It is found that for inelastic analysis, the maximum bending moment is located within a depth approximately 3.5D(D: pile diameter) below ground surface, but within 1.5D when $P-{\Delta}$ effect is considered. It is also found that the magnitude and distribution of the lateral deflections and bending moments on a pile are highly influenced by the inelastic analysis and $P-{\Delta}$ effect, let alone soil properties around an embedded pile.

In this paper, a photovoltaic system is designed with a step up chopper and single phase PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) voltage source inverter. Where proposed Synchronous signal and control signal was processed by one-chip microprocessor for stable modulation. The step up chopper operates in continuous mode by adjusting the duty ratio so that the photovoltaic system tracks the maximum power point of solar cell without any influence on the variation of insolation and temperature because solar cell has typical voltage and current dropping character. The single phase PWM voltage source the inverter using inverter consists of complex type of electric power converter to compensate for the defect, that is, solar cell cannot be developed continuously by connecting with the source of electric power for ordinary use. It can cause the effect of saving electric power. from 10 to 20[%]. The single phase PWM voltage source inverter operates in situation that its output voltage is in same phase with the utility voltage. In order to enhance the efficiency of photovoltaic cells, photovoltaic positioning system using sensor and microprocessor was design so that the fixed type of photovoltaic cells and photovoltaic positioning system were compared. In result, photovoltaic positioning system can improved 5% than fixed type of photovoltaic cells. In addition, I connected extra power to the system through operating the system voltage and inverter power in a synchronized way by extracting the system voltage so that the phase of the system and the phase of single-phase inverter of PWM voltage type can be synchronized. And, It controlled in order to provide stable pier to the load and the system through maintaining high lurer factor and low output power of harmonics.
To study the evaluation standard and control limit of mortar filling layer void length, in this paper, the train sub-model was developed by MATLAB and the track-bridge sub-model considering the mortar filling layer void was established by ANSYS. The two sub-models were assembled into a train-track-bridge coupling dynamic model through the wheel-rail contact relationship, and the validity was corroborated by the coupling dynamic model with the literature model. Considering the randomness of fastening stiffness, mortar elastic modulus, length of mortar filling layer void, and pier settlement, the test points were designed by the Box-Behnken method based on Design-Expert software. The coupled dynamic model was calculated, and the support vector regression (SVR) nonlinear mapping model of the wheel-rail system was established. The learning, prediction, and verification were carried out. Finally, the reliable probability of the amplification coefficient distribution of the response index of the train and structure in different ranges was obtained based on the SVR nonlinear mapping model and Latin hypercube sampling method. The limit of the length of the mortar filling layer void was, thus, obtained. The results show that the SVR nonlinear mapping model developed in this paper has a high fitting accuracy of 0.993, and the computational efficiency is significantly improved by 99.86%. It can be used to calculate the dynamic response of the wheel-rail system. The length of the mortar filling layer void significantly affects the wheel-rail vertical force, wheel weight load reduction ratio, rail vertical displacement, and track plate vertical displacement. The dynamic response of the track structure has a more significant effect on the limit value of the length of the mortar filling layer void than the dynamic response of the vehicle, and the rail vertical displacement is the most obvious. At 250 km/h - 350 km/h train running speed, the limit values of grade I, II, and III of the lengths of the mortar filling layer void are 3.932 m, 4.337 m, and 4.766 m, respectively. The results can provide some reference for the long-term service performance reliability of the ballastless track-bridge system of HRS.
