The purpose of this study was to verify whether BND test was an appropriate tool for diagnosis of attachment security and to investigate difference of responsive Characteristics to the Bird's Nest Drawings according to parents attachment degree. The subjects in the study were 525 students, selected from senior high schools in D-city. The instruments used were parents attachment scale and Bird's Nest Drawings, and Discriminant analyses and crosstab analyses were used. The results were as follows. First, attachment indicators in the Bird's Nest Drawings discriminated according to group of parents attachment. Second, for male student, there was a significant difference placement nest, eggs, entire birds family, quality of line and tree picture according to attachment to father. For female student, there was a significant difference eggs, entire birds family, quality of line and tree picture according to attachment to father. For male student, there was a significant difference nest contents, placement nest, eggs, entire birds family, quality of line and tree picture according to attachment to mother. For female student, placement nest, space, nest size, eggs, entire birds family and quality of line according to attachment to mother.

An improvement of standard encoder has been saturated recently. However, new coding method does not have a compatibility with conventional standard. To solve this problem, new concept coding method that has a semicompatibility with standard may be discussed. On the other hand, cyclic Intra-picture coding is used for access and refreshment. However, I-picture spend large amount of bits. An enhancement of I-picture is desired with keeping its refreshment performance. Further, it's a problem that quality change at the border of GOP because of its independency. To respond these, we propose the coding which is applied an inter-frame processing at the border of GOP. Applied method is the reduction of quantization error using the motion compensated inter-picture processing. In this report, we check the improvement of the efficiency and the compatibility of proposed method. As a result of examination, we recognize that the total gain is maximally 1.2dB in PSNR. Generally, the degradation of performance in standard decoding is smaller than its gain. Also the refreshment performance is tested.

This paper proposes a new EBTC(extended block truncation coding) algorithm extended from the BTC for image compression. The EBTC has a capability to eliminate the defects of BTC, such as the deterioration of resolution or blocky effect,and to make a real-time processing like BTC. It shows better performances than the DPCM and the transform coding. Especially, it is a suitable coding method for the high quality picture transmission. It may be adequate to the system of transmission rate of 30-50 Mbits/sec. The picture quality has been scarecely degraded with a vector quantization to the EBTC output at the bit rate of 1.25 bits/pel. The bit rate of the scalar quantized EBTC method is 2.6-3.7 bits/pel.

본 논문에서는 MPEG-4 AVC (Advanced Video Coding) 기반 미세입자 스케일러블 (Fine granular scalable: FGS) 비디오 코딩 기법의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 새로운 스캔 방법을 제안한다. 제안한 방법에서는 전송하고자 하는 영상에서 시청자에게 시각적으로 중요한 부분을 우선적으로 부호화하여 전송하고, 수신단에서도 해당 영상 정보를 우선적으로 복호화함으로써, 복원된 스케일러블 비디오의 화질을 향상시킨다. 제안한 방법의 성능을 확인하기 위한 실험 결과로부터 제안한 방법을 FGS에 적용하는 경우에는 복원 영상의 주관적인 화질을 크게 향상시킬 수 있음을 확인하였다.

In a DCT coding, degradations called block artifact and mosquito noise are appeared in reconstructed pictures. They should be reduced in post processing after decoding without superabundant processing. However, an estimation of mosquito noise is rare because of its difficulty. To realize an estimation of mosquito noise level, we extract a block that mosquito noise will be easy to occur. Mosquito noise level is calculated at a selected side of the block. In this processing, only the sides of high probability block are used. Then, a block value is taken by averaging. Finally, the picture value is calculated by averaging of this. Estimation method is evaluated by using the MPEG-4 decoded pictures. Quantization scale of coding and the estimated mosquito noise level are compared. As the results, we recognize the proposed method gives almost reasonable mosquito block and absolute level. Father, adaptive filter is controlled by the estimated mosquito noise level. It is recognized that the high quality of decoded picture is kept and the mosquito noise is reduced effectively at the picture with degradation.

모바일 비디오 스트리밍을 위해 비디오 스트림들을 사용가능한 대역폭에 맞추면서 인코딩을 하기 위해서 시간 적 해상도, 공간적 해상도, 화면 화질의 세 가지 요소를 가지고 조절할 수 있는데, 그 중에서도 양자화 파라미터 (quantization parameter)를 가지고 화변 화질을 조절하는 것이 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 방법이다. 그러나 본 논 문에서는 낮은 대역폭 환경에서는 적응적으로 공간적 해상도를 변경하는 것이 화면 화질이나 에너지 소모량 면에서 더 효율적이라는 것을 보이고, 사용 가능한 대역폭에 대해서 최척의 공간적 해상도를 찾기 위한 모델을 제시 한다. 적응적 공간 해상도 제어 기법은 비디오 서버와 모바일 기기 간의 대역폭이 심하게 변화거나, 모바일 기기가 에너지 소모에 민감한 상황에서 특히 효과적이다. 본 기법은 낮은 비트율 상황에서 기존의 방법에 비해 화질을 약 0.5dB 만큼 개선하고, 에너지 소모를 50% 이상 줄일 수 있다.

In general, contrary to the CRTs with impulsive emission, liquid crystal displays have motion artifacts such as blurring. ghost image, decrease of dynamic CR(contrast ratio), and stroboscopic motion due to hold type driving method. In this paper, to improve motion picture quality of LCDs. impulsive driving method of black data insertion was applied to the OCB mode which is well known for its fast LC response time and wide viewing angle properties. Subject evaluation was carried out with CRT, TN, SIPS(Super IPS). and impulsive driving OCB. Moving picture image quality near CRT was obtained in impulsive OCB driving mode

본 논문에서는 프레임 제거시에 화질 개선을 위한 새로운 트랜스코딩 방식을 제안한다. 제안 방식은 연속된 프레임들간의 움직임 벡터들의 상관 관계를 활용하고 있으며, 트랜스코딩시 한 매크로블록당 네 개의 움직임 벡터를 고려한다. 제안 방법은 트랜스코딩시 부호화된 비트스트림으로부터 영상을 복호화할 필요가 없으므로, 움직임 벡터를 산출하는 복잡한 연산이 요구되지 않는다. 실험 결과는 트랜스코딩된 프레임이 I - 픽쳐에서 멀리 떨어질수록, 움직임이 큰 영상일수록 기존 방식에 비하여 더 나은 화질 개선 효과를 나타냄을 보여준다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of the home literacy environment, mother's literacy belief and parenting efficacy in terms of the interaction which occurs during reading picture books between mothers and preschoolers. Questionnaires from 378 5-year-olds' mothers in Seoul and Kyunggi province were analysed. The findings from the validated structural equation model constructed with these variables were as follows. First, the home literacy environment, the mother's literacy beliefs and the mother's general parenting efficacy affected the quantity, and the quality of interaction whilst reading books with preschoolers. Second, the mother's efficacy in education and communication had a direct impact on the quantity of the interaction during reading books through the mediation of the home literacy environment, and had an indirect effect on the quality of the interaction whilst reading books, respectively. Third, the mother's efficacy in communication directly accounted for the quality of the interaction which occurs whilst reading books with children.
