Many kinds of methods for the psychological treatments are performed which are differentdepending on the patient's condition and the clinical character. Therefore, a great deal of good effects can be expected by the intention or knowledge of the carrer, although the patients are under the same symptom. The symptom of pain can be given different meanings considering the professional knowledge. It's the same case when the very same psychological condition can be iudged differently and the way of being treated can be variable. The physical treatment is a kind of method that cures illness or injury using all sorts of factors such as water, electricity, light, and exercises. In general, physical treatment as known to cure the physically tnjuried or the crippled. In this case, taking psychosomatic for example, I examined the idea that many kinds of physical treatments can be used in the field of psychotherapy. What's more, I suggest that the use of those methods be expanded to psychotherapy.

To understand the physical method for induction of anti-bacterial substances from the silkworm larvae, Bombyx mori, three physical methods, i.e., infrared radiation, ultraviolet radiation and ultrasonic wave, have been used in this study. The results have shown that ultrasonic wave can induce anti-bacterial sub-stances effectively than radiations in the B. mori larva. The induction of anti-bacterial substances was different from silkworm race to race. Summer-autumn silkworm race (Qiufeng${\times}$Baiyu) was easy to induce antibacterial substances. It is suggested that the ultrasonic wave is a simple and easy method for induction.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the immediate effects of alternative treatment methods in lowering the blood pressure and pulse of prehypertensive patients. Methods: A total of 48 prehypertensive patients were randomly divided into 4 groups of 12 patients and each group received a different intervention. The control group was made to rest, the heat pack (HP) group received heat pack treatment, the ultrasound (US) group received an ultrasound massage, and the myofascial release (MFR) group received myofascial release. The blood pressure and pulse rate were measured before and after intervention. Results: Following intervention, the patients of the MFR group showed a decrease in systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and pulse rate. Although blood pressure was similar in all groups, a significant decrease in pulse rate was seen in the MFR group compared to others. Conclusion: The application of MFR was shown to be an effective method for lowering the blood pressure and pulse rate in prehypertensive patients.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the need and understanding about the physical therapy. The subjects of this study were 101 licensee nurses who was taking the home nursing trainers. The reasons which requires the home physical therapy were 'the increased elderly patients(97.0%)', 'the early leaving of the hospital(96.0.%)', 'the lack of caretakers(96.0%)', and 'the increased chronic patients(96.0%)'. 2. The ratio of affirmation of home physical therapy system was 97% of the home nursing trainers, the reasons which were helped the patients was 'the saved time(97.0%)'. 'the decreased psychological stress(95.0%)' 'the continuing treatment after discharge(93.0%)' and 'the teaching patients and caretakers(93.0%)'. 3. The main center which was organized the home physical therapy service was 'the department of home physical therapy arid the home nurse(42.6%)', 'the department of home nurse(22.8%)', and 'the department of home physical therapy(1l.9%)'. 4. The home nursing trainers wanted to learn the home physical therapy methods for chronic patients(95.0%). The contents of home physical therapy methods was 'the therapeutic exercise for preventing deformity(15.4%)', and 'maintenance of normal posture and howe to change body position(12.4%)'. 5. Statistically significant difference in the teams (the home physical therapy, the home nurse, and the home physical therapy with the home nurse) was found between the age groups, and statistically significant difference in the teams was found between the educational degree groups.
PURPOSE: This study analyzed the impact of AI and biosensors on physical therapy, identifying the stage of customized technology development and future prospects. AI and biosensors improve the efficiency, establish customized treatment plans, and expand patient treatment opportunities. The study employed a literature review by searching databases and collecting research. METHODS: This study searched various databases related to the topic, collected existing research, papers, and reports, evaluated the literature, and summarize the results. RESULTS: Exercise therapy utilizing artificial intelligence can provide personalized and optimal exercise plans while monitoring rehabilitation progress. In addition, biosensors such as EMG sensors and accelerometers can monitor the individual progress in physical therapy, particularly in stroke patients, which can help improve physical therapy strategy and promote patient recovery. CONCLUSION: This study suggested that artificial intelligence can be applied in many areas of physical therapy, such as exercise therapy, customized treatment plans, rehabilitation and management, pain management, neuro rehabilitation, and auxiliary devices. Using AI technology, it is possible to analyze and improve exercise and posture, retrain the central nervous system, establish customized treatment plans for individual patients, predict and compare patient progress before and after treatment, and provide customized pain analysis and treatment methods. In addition, AI can provide neuro rehabilitation programs and customized auxiliary devices.
Cerebral palsy (CP) is a prevalent neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by motor and postural impairments caused by central nervous system dysfunction. It significantly impacts children's daily functioning and quality of life. Physical therapy is a crucial intervention for children with CP that aims to improve motor skills and functional abilities. This study aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of holistic physical therapy approaches methods specifically designed for children with CP and examine recent research trends and their implications for optimizing outcomes in this population. This study employed a narrative review approach, conducting a comprehensive examination of the current literature pertaining to physical therapy methods for children with CP. The review encompassed studies exploring assessment techniques, evidence-based interventions, and innovative approaches in the field. It was discerned that encompassing physical therapy strategies, which encompass individualized treatment plans, evidence-based interventions, and the integration of innovative techniques, yield a favorable influence on the motor skills and functional capacities of children with CP. This review synthesizes the current knowledge on effective physical therapeutic strategies for children with CP. Furthermore, this review highlights the need for continued research and innovation in the field of pediatric physical therapy for CP.
Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the validity of a depth camera-based system for monitoring physical function, assessing its feasibility for accurately monitoring activities of daily living. Design: A cross-sectional study. Methods: Twenty-three participants were enlisted to perform fifteen activities of daily living within a living laboratory designed to simulate a home environment. Activities were monitored using a depth camera system capable of classifying actions into standing, sitting, and lying down, with a conventional video camera employed for activity recording. The duration of each activity, as measured by the system, was compared to direct observations made by a physical therapist which were analyzed using a motion analysis software. The association between these two measurement approaches was assessed through correlation analysis, coefficient of determination, intraclass correlation coefficient (ICC), and Bland-Altman plots. Results: Our findings indicated that standing activities exhibited the highest correlation (r=0.847) between the system measurements and physical therapist observations, followed by sitting (r=0.817) and lying down (r=0.734), which demonstrated lower correlations. However, the ICC and Bland-Altman plots revealed notable variances between the two measurement methods, particularly for activities involving lying down. Conclusions: In this study, the depth camera-based physical monitoring system showed promise feasibility in distinguishing standing, sitting, and lying down activities at home environments. However, the current study also underlined some necessities of enhancements in capturing lying down activities.
PURPOSE: The purpose this study was to investigate the awareness of physical therapy as one of rehabilitation interventions for post-operative women with breast cancer in healthy Korean women. METHODS: This study recruited 223 adult women aged 20 and older who never had breast cancer but received physical therapy. This study used a structured questionnaire consisting of 13 items in 3 fields designed to focus on socio-demographic characteristics, breast cancer experience of friends or family, and awareness of physical therapy as one of methods to improve rehabilitation of patients following breast cancer surgery. RESULTS: Among respondents who completed the survey, 62.8% were interested in breast cancer. However, 78.1% had never heard of physical therapy as a rehabilitation intervention for post-operative women with breast cancer. 44.4% believed that physical therapy is necessary after breast cancer surgery. 69.5% of the respondents were willing to participate in a physical therapy rehabilitation program if there were diagnosed with breast cancer, and 59.2% believed that the participation in this program would be beneficial. 42.9% acquired some information that physical therapy is one type of rehabilitation to improve physical condition for women with breast cancer from the Internet or television. In addition, education level affected interest and awareness of physical therapy for breast cancer. Awareness about breast cancer and physical therapy were higher among well-educated respondents. CONCLUSION: This study suggests that a physical therapy rehabilitation program is specifically developed, and correct information on it is provided to improve health condition in women following breast cancer surgery.
Patient education is one of the most important roles of a physical therapist. Physical therapists have to teach and provide information about illness, instruct for home exercise, and give advice relating to correct posture and daily activities et al. For an efficient education some strategies are required. The purpose of this article is to review general learning methods, to introduce elements that influence the procedure of patient education and learning, and to plan an education strategy.
Objective: Pelvic floor muscles (PFMs) form the base of the abdomino-pelvic cavity and also the PFMs function is important for urinary continence. PFMs training (PFMT) is considered to be the first method for PFM dysfunction. This study demonstrated correct PFMs contraction among commonly used different contraction methods for PFMT. Design: Cross-sectional study. Methods: In this study, nineteen middle-aged (40-70 years) women participated. To evaluate PFM function, ultrasonography was used to measure the distance of the bladder base movement. The distance of the PFM movements were calculated at rest and during the other contractions. The following four different contraction methods were performed randomly: (1) PFM contraction, (2) abdominal drawing-in maneuver (ADIM), (3) anal contraction, and (4) hip adductor muscle contraction. The participants held the contraction for 3 seconds for a total of 3 times with a 30 seconds rest period between each trial. The mean of three measurements in each position were obtained and compared with that in the resting position. Results: The bladder base movement values were significantly greater when comparing PFM with ADIM and hip adductor contractions (p<0.05). The bladder base movement values were significantly greater when comparing ADIM and anal contractions with hip adductor contractions (p<0.05). Conclusions: The results of this study suggest that performing PFM contractions is the best method among the common methods for PFMT. Performing PFM contractions was more effective than the other contraction methods.
