This research intends to explore two questions: 1) how the service qualities of trade exhibitions affect the participant's satisfaction, and 2) how participation motivation moderates the relationship's between the service quality and satisfaction. For this purpose, the service qualities were measured with respect to three components: 1) core services, 2) physical environments, and 3) personal services of trade exhibitions. The results showed that the core services had largest impact on the participant's satisfaction among three components. The influence of the personal services was next strong, and the impact of the physical environment was weakest. Participation motivation was shown to moderate the effects of core services and personal services on satisfaction, but its moderating impact on the relationship between physical environments and satisfaction was not observed.
A whiplash injury of cervical spine is typically caused by a special kind of accident. It usually involves a driver of an automobile who experiences a direct impact from behind. There are no external signs of the injury, but shearing forces from the rapid flexion and extension momement result in segmental lesions. The extent of injury to the tissue depends upon the force of impact, the exact position of head at the moment of impact, the awareness of impending injury in order to "prepare" the musculature, and the normalcy of all the tissues of the neck. Diagnosis demend a carefully detailed history and a through musculo-skeletal--neurological examination. Whenever possible, the symptoms claimed must be verified by a carefule neurological examination.
Stroke is the leading cause of adult disability and the third leading cause of adult death in the world. Stroke has an impact on the physical, psychological and social dimensions of quality of life. An increasing number of authors have reported a deterioration of the quality of life in a large proportion of patients after a stroke. Just as satisfaction with each dimension varies to everyone, the importance of each dimension also varies and does not impact equally on the quality of life. So assessment on the quality of life has to adopt a multidimentional approach and to make use of the subjective and objective indicators.
This study examined the impact of childhood physical abuse on the self-concept of older adolescents and assessed perceptions of parental relationships as a mediator for consequences of abuse. Sixty-college undergraduates (aged 18-23 yrs.) completed this study. (1) The Self-Description Questionnaires, a multidimensional measure of self-concept, (2) the parent scales of the inventory parent and Peer Attachment, a measure of perceived parental support, and (3) the Assessing Environments, a retrospective report of family environment and parenting practices. Analyses, controlling for SES and education, showed that a history of physical abuse was a strong predictive of adolescence current self-concept. Further analyses would lend support to a mediation model, suggesting that physical abuse had a negative impact on self-concept through its negative effect on parent-child relationships.
The physical properties of food playa significant role in the modeling and computation of the heat and mass transfers in basic food processing operations. With the advent of improved analytical techniques, statistical experiment design applications, computing ability and knowledge of the food physical properties of food, there have been significant advances in our ability to predict the impact of processing on the physical properties of food. This article briefly reviews our current ability to predict the influence of processing on the physical properties of food, such as water activity, moisture, color, and rheological characteristics.
This study was conducted to develop the PBL module using simulation(S-PBL), to apply it to the physical therapy curricula, and its effect on students; learning contents, learning process, and its overall impacts. The S-PBL module was apply on 47 students of first year physical therapy in Jeju Halla College for 8 weeks from 2005 Feb to April. The data was analyzed via SPSS 10.0; the evaluation of learning contents and process was divided into 5 areas; the learning impacts in 4 areas. The research sought average and standard deviations. The students; satisfaction regarding S-PBL learning contents and process averaged >3.5 (on the Likert Scale of 1 thru 5) which indicated high learning achievement. For the learning impact, using an S-PBL module, it averaged >2.8 (on the Likert Scale of 1 thru 4) which indicated high learning impact. Significantly, the students showed high satisfaction in the areas of clinical practicum, the learning process, the opportunity to participate in clinical affiliation, and motivation for acquiring professional knowledge. This study proved that the application of S-PBL is effective for the physical therapy students; ability to carry out physical therapy, and it is also worth to apply in the physical therapy curricula to improve the students; participation in clinical skills.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to show differences in impact variables between treadmills with (treadmills B, C, and D) and treadmills without a shock-absorbing function (treadmill A) to propose the development of a treadmill with improved or added shock-absorbing function to reduce impact shock. Method: Thirteen male students in their twenties who had habitual rear foot strike during running ran on four treadmills at 2.67 m/sec while ankle and neck acceleration data were collected. The magnitude of the ankle and neck acceleration peaks and peak positive ankle acceleration were calculated. The power spectral density of each signal was calculated to transform the ankle and neck accelerations in the frequency domain. Results: The peak positive ankle acceleration on treadmill B was significantly lesser than that on treadmills A and D, and that on treadmill C was significantly less than that on treadmill A (p < .01). Peak positive neck acceleration was not statistically different between the treadmills. The frequencies of the peak power of the ankle and neck acceleration signal within the lower and higher frequency ranges were not statistically different between the treadmills. The signal power magnitude of the ankle in higher frequency ranges on treadmill B was significantly less than that on treadmills A, C, and D (p < .01). The signal power magnitude of the ankle in higher frequency ranges was not statistically different between the treadmills. The signal power magnitudes of the neck acceleration signal within the lower and higher frequency ranges were not statistically significantly different between the treadmills. Conclusion: Our results indicate that the shock-absorbing function of a treadmill plays a role in reducing impact shock. Therefore, in future treadmill development, shock-absorbing function should be improved or incorporated to reduce impact shock to the body.

The purpose of this study is to validate that change of impact by the Early Extension in during a golf driver swing. 13 golf players who were diagnosed with symptoms of Early Extension participated in a proactive corrective training programs that took place 3 times a week for a 4 month period. Data was collected by recording 5 pre and 5 post training driver swings and analyzing the data to calculate the change in velocity and its effect in the shot used the TRACK MAN. After the training, the changes of early extension were -0.21 cm in backswing section E2(take away), -0.64 cm in E3(halfway backswing), and -0.94 cm in E4(backswing top). The downswing section changes were -1.34 cm in event E5(halfway downswing), -1.74 cm in E6(impact). Impact force increased and thus club speed increased by 6.32 km/h, ball speed increased by 10.94 km/h, max height decreased by -6.22 m, carry increased by 10.85 m, carry side(left deviation) decreased by 4.84 m, flight time by increased by 0.4 sec, and total length increased by 17.96 m while landing angle decreased by -7.74 deg.

A comparative analysis of experimental group and the control group in the VAS was not significantly different. ROM(flexion, extension, abduction, and internal rotation) was significantly increased in the experimental group, whereas external rotation significantly did not increased. Conclusion : ROM of external rotation between the experimental and control groups, except for the change showed a statistically significant, the above findings, the level of pain and depression, there were no statistically significant differences.
Purpose: This study was done to identify the impact of physical activity on healthcare utilization among Korean adults. Methods: Drawing from the 2008 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES IV-2), data from 6,521 adults who completed the Health Interview and Health Behavior Surveys were analyzed. Association between physical activity and healthcare utilization was tested using the $X^2$-test. Multiple logistic regression analysis was used to calculate the odds ratios of using outpatient and inpatient healthcare for different levels of physical activity after adjusting for predisposing, enabling, and need factors. A generalized linear model applying a negative binomial distribution was used to determine how the level of physical activity was related to use of outpatient and inpatient healthcare. Results: Physically active participants were 16% less likely to use outpatient healthcare (OR, 0.84; 95% CI, 0.74-0.97) and 23% less likely to use inpatient healthcare (OR, 0.77; 95% CI, 0.63-0.93) than physically inactive participants. Levels of outpatient and inpatient healthcare use decreased as levels of physical activity increased, after adjusting for relevant factors. Conclusion: An independent association between being physically active and lower healthcare utilization was ascertained among Korean adults indicating a need to develop nursing intervention programs that encourage regular physical activity.
