  • As the approach close-range digital photogrammetry has a variety of merits, the application of precision requiting fields is in Increase for its scope expansion. In the meantime, in case of photographic surveying by use of films, a lot of studies on experiment analysis and theoretical forecast models about a change of the exactness as per photographing coordinates have been conducted, but experiments about approach close-range digital photogrammetry are not enough yet. In consequence, this study has made photographing respectively by changing the photographic distance, converging angle, picturing direction by use of Rollei d7 metric and d7 metric$\^$5/ that is a measurement digital camera. And also in order to minimize the errors happened at the relative orientation, we have sorted out the prototype target that the relative orientation is automatically on the programming and have calculated RMSE by carrying out the bundle adjustment. We think that such a study could be used as very important basic data necessary in deriving the optimal photographic conditions by the close-range digital photogrammetry and in judging such a degree.

  • Concept of the comfort and fitness has become a major concern in the basic function of the ready-made clothes. Until now, ready-made clothes were not made by on the basis of the bodytype, but by the body size only. This research was performed to classify and characterize the bodytypes of Korean adult males. Sample size was 1290 subjects and their age range was from 19 to 54 years old. 15 variables from the photographic data of 1112 subjects were applied to analyse the bodytype of th\ulcorner lower part of trunk. Data were analyzed by the multivariate method, especially factor and cluster analysis. The groups forming a cluster can be subdivided into 5 sets by crosstabulation extracted by the hierarchical cluster analysis. 5 bodytypes classified by the photographic sources could be combined with the anthropcmetric data and were demonstrated with 5 silhouette. Type 2 and 3 in the lower part of trunk were dominant and were composed of the majority of 56.8% of the subjects. Bodytypes of Korean males were influenced by the degree of posture erectness and of curvature of the front side of the body in waist and abdomen.

  • The influences of reduction time, potential difference and ionic concentration flow rate have been investigated on the electrolytic recovery of silver from artificial photographic wastewater in continuous flow reactor system. As the initial concentration of silver ion and applied potential were increased, the amount of silver recovered was observed to be raised. Also, the electrolytically recovered material from artificial wastewater was proved to be pure silver based on the qualitative analyses by EPMA and XRD.

  • This study aims to compare the revealed activities of visitors to rural tourism villages through photographic album in the internet homepage, and to give a suggestion for building new homepage showing the differences in mountain eco-tourism village. According to the different types of village development projects, photographs in internet homepage were analysed in order to compare the centered activities of visitors to agriculture and mountain tourism villages. Landscape types such as natural landscape, agricultural landscape, and village living landscape were classified to execute a content analysis on photographic album in the homepage. Reliability of the analysis between coder was achieved as 0.81. Results were summarized as follows. Firstly, village identity of homepage was mostly determined by the characteristics of internet portal involved. Secondly, adults were revealed as main subjects of tourism activities in mountain village, whereas lots of children were involved in agricultural village. Thirdly, natural landscape was used as a place of activities in mountain village, while village living landscape was photographed as a main background. It was suggested that the photographs revealing activities with children in the background of natural landscape should be uploaded to show the identity of mountain village regardless of the characteristics of internet portal.

  • Reading a photograph is a process of perceiving the image in it. We are able to approach the intention of the photographer only from the sensory material of the image. To make sure how we see the image when we look at a photo, this paper did an experiment with Robert Doisneau's photo, 'Un Regard Oblique'. The hypothesis was set upon the idea of Mary Ann Doane, a pioneer in Gender study. Eye-tracker, Tobii was used to measure the movements and the fixation lengths of the pupils of 44 subjects. From the results of the experiment, it was verified that people look at photographic image in a certain way. At the same time, the gazing strength was differential on every subjects and subject groups.

  • We compared two nondestructive methods for leaf area estimation using leaves of 16 common plant species classified into six types depending on leaf shape. Relatively good linear relationships between actual leaf area (LA) and leaf length (L), width (W), or the product of length and width (LW) were found for ordinary leaves with lanceolate, oblanceolate, linear and sagitttate shapes with entire margins, serrate margins, mixed margins with a entire form and shallow lobes, and ordinary incised margins. LA was better correlated with LW than L or W, with $R^2$ > 0.91. However, for deeply incised lobes, LA estimation using LW showed low correlation coefficient values, indicating low accuracy. On the other hand, a method using photographic paper showed a good correlation between estimates of area based on the mass of a cut-out leaf image on a photographic sheet (PW) and actual leaf area for all types of leaf shape. Thus, the PW method for LA estimation can be applied to all shapes of leaf with high accuracy. The PW method takes a little more time and has a higher cost than leaf estimation methods using LW based on leaf dimensions. These results indicate that researchers should choose their nondestructive LA estimation method according to their research goals.

  • In plastic surgery, patient photography is a vital component of clinical, educational, legal, and research documentation. Optimal acquisition of photographic data requires a dedicated photography studio or a three-dimensional anatomic scanner, both of which are financially impractical for most clinicians. Simplified photo standardization is proposed for use in random clinical settings by using a portable device called the Mirror Stand (MirS). This model device aims to mimic a studio environment by incorporating the basic elements of producing consistent photographs. The pilot MirS is designed for facial photography. Images of 40 random subjects were obtained using the MirS with three different cameras. Real anthropometric measurements of each subject were collected, compared with the photographic measurements, and analyzed. In this study, all three cameras produced equally reliable measurements. Actual facial measurements were comparable to the photogrammetric measurements obtained from photographs taken using the MirS. A constant formula was derived; it allowed the conversion of photographic values into real anthropometric values. The MirS produced consistent photographs with respect to the measurements. The photographs obtained could be translated reliably into their real anthropometric measurements. Therefore, the MirS can be applied in daily practice, providing an efficient alternative for obtaining a standard justifiable photograph.

  • Basic investigations have been carried out for the solvent extraction of silver contained in the waste photographic fixing solution using D2EHPA as an extractant. Extraction experiments were conducted using artificial waste solution which was made by dissolving $AgNO_3$ in distilled water along with actual waste fixing solution. For artificial waste solution, the extraction of silver was found to occur very rapidly at the initial stage of extraction. In addition, more silver was extracted as the volumetric ratio between aqueous phase and organic phase was decreased. The volumetric ratio of organic extractant to diluent was also taken as an influential variable and the extracted amount of silver was observed to decrease with temperature. The characteristics of silver extraction for actual fixing solution was generally similar to that for artificial waste solution. Regarding the kinetic analysis, the extraction of silver contained in the actual solution was observed to follow a first order reaction.

  • We quantified the relationship of fluorescence depends upon the thickness of each absorber by the result of experiment which was practiced to know the relationship of x-ray absorption and photographic effect in the range of diganostic energy about water, acrylic resin, aluminium and copper. There was no great difference in the photographic effect between water and acryl because the absorption degree of the two was mostly equal. But in case of aluminium and copper, it was opposite from the prior. Therefore when we considered the photographic effect in the range of diagnostic energy, it was thought that water and acryl were proper as a absorbers, but not only copper but also aluminium was improper as a absorber.
