In this study, benzoxazolo carbocyanine dye was used as sensitizer for photographic emulsion, and the photographic characteristics were examined. The basic properties of sensitizer such as stability in various solvents were examined. The sensitizer was very stable in methanol, acetonitrile, acetone, dimethylformamide, and chloroform solution. Absorption spectra of benzoxazolo carbocyanine dye $2.5{\times}10^{-6}M$ and $5{\times}10^{-6}M$ concentrations in 10% aqueous methanol solutions containing $10^{-2}M$ potassium chloride show the monomer-J-aggregation characteristics. Compared to the absorption peak of the monomer in pure methanol solution, the red shifts of the monomer-J-aggregate peaks of benzoxazolo carbocyanine dye of $2.5{\times}10^{-6}M$ and $5{\times}10^{-6}M$ concentrations in 10% aqueous methanol solutions containing $10^{-2}M$ potassium chloride are 34nm respectively, and the sensitizing peak of benzoxazolo carbocyanine dye in photographic emulsion has red shift of 34nm. Therefore, if was concluded that benzoxazolo carbocyanine dye can be used as green sensitizing dye for the spectral sensitization of photographic emulsion.

In this paper, it was studied about the red-sensitive layer. UV-Vis data of the dye at monomeric and J-state were considered with respect to their performance(contrast, speed, density and fog) in photographic emulsion. The sensitizing effect of the dye is found to be strongly structure-dependent. Naphthctbiazolo carbocyanine dye can be used as red sensitizing dye for the spectral sensitization of photographic emulsion.

The purpose of this study was to investigate factors affecting the use of modern photographic records. Data was collected through a survey of 95 potential users for photographic records in future. Independent variables in this study included evidential value, informational value, usage value, intrinsic value. Dependent variable was selected as use intention for photographic records. The results of analysis of multi-regression analysis showed that evidential value and intrinsic value were found to have a positive impact on use intention for photographic records in modern korea. The results from this study can be used as important basic data for building archives for photographic record or for developing the policy for effective photographic records management.

The reproducibility of cephalography in repeated exposures were studied by tracing and photographic subtraction. The materials consisted of 50 pairs of 'same day' radiograph taken under identical conditions. The evaluation included skull, cervical column, hyoid bone, pharynx, tongue, soft tissue profile resulting 43 items in tracing, and 19 items in photographic subtraction. The results obtained from the differences between each pair were as follows: 1. The means and standard deviations by tracing of skull, cervical column, hyoid bone, pharynx, tongue, soft tissue profile were 0.34±0.62㎜, 1.02±1.59㎜, 1.37±1.78㎜, 0.55±1.16㎜, 0.51±1.51㎜, 0.15±0.3㎜ each. 2. The means and standard deviations by photographic subtraction of skull, cervical column, hyoid bone, pharynx, tongue were 0.09±0.35㎜, 0.70±0.95㎜, 1.22±1.33㎜, 0.53±0.86㎜, 0.27±0.41㎜ each.

In this study, arrangement and description of documentary photographic records about photographer, Choi Min-Sik have been reviewed. Throughout the literature review, arrangement and description of photographic records are analyzed. The results show that the universal classification plan of administrative records is difficult to apply to photographic records. This study suggests the case of arrangement and description of photographic records a photographer produces continually.

The monthly news and culture magazine, 'Sasanggye,' established by Jang Jun-ha from 1953 to 1970, served as a platform for government criticism and intellectual representation. The magazine created photographic-essays covering a variety of topics and utilized images as a visually impactful tool with news value. This paper aims to critically examine the photographic-essays within 'Sasanggye' as archival records, shedding light on their intrinsic value. Before delving into this assessment, the paper thoroughly explores the developmental process and characteristics of these photographic-essays. And based on the content divisions within the main text, the paper categorized the themes captured in the photographic essays into politics, economics, society, culture, and miscellaneous topics. It then introduced representative photographicessays. From an archival perspective, looking at photographs involves elucidating that photographs carry meanings beyond mere data. The photographic essays in 'Sasanggye' serve as photographic records providing evidence of 1960s Korean society and encapsulating crucial visual information. Furthermore, the photographic essays in 'Sasanggye' hold a historical significance in the aspect of Korean magazine documentary photography. The photo-essays in 'Sasanggye' carry worth in the history of photography and encompass evidential and informational values as photographic records.

Photography has been used as a typical tool of recording image since its invention in the nineteenth century. Photographs provide valuable visual information about all parts of society, and a systematic management must be preceded to use these information. The management and preservation system of photographs should reflect the characteristics of photographic medium. It is necessary for many archives to perform appraisal first to collect and manage enormous photographs. Appraisal is the process of determining meaning and value of records, and the reasonable criteria should be needed to carry it out. The purpose of this study is to suggest appraisal criteria for photographic records based on the archival appraisal theories and the characteristics of photography. This study draws on traditional appraisal theories and some literatures for archival management of photographs. This study is organized as follows. The first section examines the concept and values of photographic records and the distinctiveness of appraising photographs. The second section analyzes the existing appraisal criteria for individual records. The third section designs appraisal classes of photographic records and proposes the criteria for each classes.

The activity to share personal daily life through social media is becoming more common. In this case, photographs as well as text are used a lot; it has been as easy as winking to clip others' photographs just as it's very easy to take and post pictures. If the picture is the photographic work protected by the copyright law, however, the clipping should be paid close attention. If you use others' photographic works without authorization, you infringe their copyright; if you post them on your social media such as blog, you infringe the right of reproduction, interactive transmission and exhibition. Even though the clipping is permitted, if you'd like to use the photographic works for a profit-making purpose, you should get additional authorization. Others' photographic works are occasionally altered and used for the purpose of avoiding the argument in relation to the infringement of copyright; this act means that it's the infringement of the right of reproduction, the right to preserve the integrity and the right of the production of derivative works for degrees of alteration. We can download others' photographic works with a few mouse clicks thanks to the technology of capturing the screen; we have to recognize that all the acts technically possible are not always legal.
