Effect of ${B_2}{O_3}$on the Adhesion Properties of Electrophoretically Deposited Phosphor Films (${B_2}{O_3}$가 전기영동법으로 제조된 형광막의 접착력에 미치는 영향)

  • Mg(NO$_3$)$_2$가 용해된 IPA 용액에서 형광 분말의 전기영동법에 의한 증착 과정을 증착 시간, Mg(NO$_3$)$_2$의 농도 및 열처리 조건에 따라 분석하였다. 전기영동법으로 가장 두께가 균일한 형광막을 얻기 위한 Mg(NO$_3$)$_2$의 최적 농도는 $10^{-3}$~$10^{-4}$ M였다. 형광체의 접착력을 향상시키기 위해 새로운 방법을 고안하였다. 즉 전기영동법으로 증착된 형광막에 B$_2$O$_3$가 용해된 IPA 용액을 분사한 후 열처리를 하였다. 그 결과 기존의 PL 특성을 그대로 유지하면서 접착력을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 그러나 CL 휘도는 약간 감소하였다.

Doping and Annealing Effect on Luminescent Characteristics of $_2$ Phosphor Thin Films (ZnGa$_2$O$_4$형광박막의 발광특성에 미치는 도핑 및 어닐리의 효과)

  • Mn doped {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} thin film phosphors were prepared on Si(100) wafers and ITO coated glass substrates by rf magnetron sputtering technique and the effects of the substrates dopant and the sputtering paramet-ers were analyzed, Changes of the oreintation were observed after annealine tratment. The grain size of {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} : Mn thin film deposited on Si wafer was smaller than that on ITO/glass substrate which resulted in higher PL intensity. The PL spectra of Mn doped {{{{ {Zn {Ga }_{2 }O }_{4 } }} thin films showed sharp green luminescence spec-trum. According to CL spectrum it could be concluded that Mn ions acted as an actuator for green emission by substituting Zn atom sites.

Synthesis and Characterization of High Luminance ${Zn_2}{SiO_4}$:Mn Phosphors (고발광 ${Zn_2}{SiO_4}$:Mn 형광체의 제조 및 특성)

  • In order to improve luminescence prperty of phosphors, we have synthesized Zn2SiO4:Mn phosphors by a new chemical synthetic route, i.e., the homogeneous precipitation method. This method has featured that the formation of phosphoris completed at relatively low temperature of 105$0^{\circ}C$ and the particle morphology exhibits spherical shape to be well-dispersed and uniform size. At all the Mn concentration explored, phosphors prepared by this method have exhibited the improved emission intensities. In particular, the emission intensities of phosphors with Mn doping contents between 1 at% and 3.5 at% were higher about 40% than that of commercial phosphor. On the other hand, the decay time has been decreased from 23 ms to 11 ms with increasing Mn concentration. In addition, the phosphor composition containing 3 at% Mn has displayed the most saturated color.

Luminescence Enhancement by Ba in SrTiO3:Pr, Al Red Phosphor for Field Emission Displays

  • The luminescence properties of $Sr_{1-x}Ba_xTiO_3:Pr$, Al red phosphor for Field Emission Displays (FEDs) have been investigated in powders prepared though solid-state reactions. $Sr_{1-x}Ba_xTiO_3:Pr$, Al red phosphors indicate a higher luminescent intensity, and have been found to have potential for field emission displays. The addition of Ba increased the luminescence intensity at 617 nm by up to 30%. Ba ions are effective in producing the energy transfers from host-to-activator in 4f-5d transitions.
