This study presents the preparation of n-tetradecane-in-water emulsions with different weight ratios of n-tetradecane and water, and their potential application in packaging and shipping vaccines. The size and distribution of the n-tetradecane droplets are characterized using optical microscopy and light scattering methods, respectively. The thermal properties of the emulsions are determined using the T-history method. In the results, the emulsions, which are comprised of 17 ~ 30 wt% oil, 3 wt% surfactant, and 67 ~ 80 wt% water, are stable and have droplet sizes in the range of 100 to 800 nm. The thermal properties demonstrate that subcooling is prevented through increasing the droplet size. The results indicate that the n-tetradecane/water emulsions containing 25 ~ 35 wt% n-tetradecane, with a melting point of $2{\sim}8^{\circ}C$ and a latent heat of $227.0{\sim}250.8kJ\;kg^{-1}$, are good candidate materials for packaging and shipping vaccines.
Sodium pyrophosphate that melting point is $79-80^{\circ}C$ have been Studied on heat storage and heat discharge. In heat storage process, sodium pyrophosphate was kept up initial temperature $50^{\circ}C,\;60^{\circ}C,\;70^{\circ}C$ which melt by heated water at temperature $85^{\circ}C,\;90^{\circ}C,\;95^{\circ}C$. In heat discharge process, initial temperature of sodium pyrophosphate was maintained at temperature $85^{\circ}C,\;90^{\circ}C,\;95^{\circ}C$ which varied cooling temperature $50^{\circ}C,\;60^{\circ}C,\;70^{\circ}C$. The experiment has been reached conclusions as follows. 1) Heat transfer properties of phase change material is controlled by conduction during heating and cooling process. 2) The temperature increased rapidly at initial stage and transient region increase slowly because of characteristic of latent heat. 3) The lower cooling water temperature is the less the time that get to thermal equivalent state take during discharge process. 4) The higher cooling water temperature is the less temperature difference between top and bottom in P.C.M during discharge process.

Feedwater heaters of many nuclear power plants have recently experienced severe wall thinning damange, which will increase as operating time progresses. Several nuclear power plants in Korea have experienced wall thinning damage in the area around the impingement baffle inside feed-water heater installed downstream of the turbine extraction stream line. At that point, the extract steam from the turbine is two phase fluid at high temperature, high pressure, and high speed. Since it flows to reverse direction after impinging the impingement baffle, the shell wall of feedwater heaters may be affected by flow-accelerated corrosion. In this paper, to compare wall thinning range according to change entrance nozzle diameter and position with reference numerical analysis model's wall thinning range, various numerical analysis models applied. In case of changing diameter, four different diameter is applied. And a side of nozzle position, two different position-vertical type and parallel type-is applied. And then this paper describes operation of numerical analysis which is composed similar condition with real feed water heater. In conclusion, this study shows effective design for shall wall thinning by changing nozzle diameter and position.

The most significant change and trend in the information security market in the year of 2014 is in relation to the issue and incidents of personal information security, which leads the area of information security to a new phase. With the year of 2011 as the turning point, the security technology advanced based on the policies and conditions that combine personal information and information security in the same category. Such technical changes in information security involve various types of information, rapidly changing security policies in response to emerging illegal techniques, and embracing consistent changes in the network configuration accordingly. This study presents the result of standardization and quantification of external access inference by utilizing the measurements to fathom the access authorization performance in advance for information security in specialized networks designed to carry out certain tasks for a group of clients in the easiest and most simple manner. The findings will provide the realistic data available with the access authorization inference modes to control illegal access to the edge of a client network.
To achieve bipedal walking in real human environments, a bipedal robot should be capable of modifiable walking both on uneven terrain with different heights and on flat terrain. In this paper, a novel walking pattern generator based on a 3-D linear inverted pendulum model (LIPM) is proposed to achieve this objective. By adopting a zero moment point (ZMP) variation scheme in real time, it is possible to change the center-of-mass (COM) position and the velocity of the 3-D LIPM throughout the single support phase. Consequently, the proposed method offers the ability to generate a modifiable pattern for walking on uneven terrain without the necessity for any extra footsteps to adjust the COM motion. In addition, a control strategy for bipedal walking on uneven terrain with unknown height is developed. The torques and ground reaction force are measured through force-sensing resisters (FSRs) on each foot and the foot of the robot is modeled as three virtual spring-damper models for the disturbance compensation. The methods for generating the foot and vertical COM of 3-D LIPM trajectories are proposed to achieve modifiable bipedal walking on uneven terrain without any information regarding the height of the terrain. The effectiveness of the proposed method is confirmed through dynamic simulations.
This paper presents an investigation of the liquefaction characteristics and particle crushing of isotropically consolidated silica sand specimens at a wide range of confining pressures varying from 0.1 MPa to 5 MPa during undrained cyclic shearing. Different failure patterns of silica sand specimens subjected to undrained cyclic loading were seen at low and high pressures. The sudden change points with regard to the increasing double amplitude of axial strain with cycle number were identified, regardless of confining pressure. A higher cyclic stress ratio caused the specimen to liquefy at a relatively smaller cycle number, conversely producing a larger relative breakage $B_r$. The rise in confining pressure also resulted in the increasing relative breakage. At a specific cyclic stress ratio, the relative breakage and plastic work increased with the rise in the cyclic loading. Less particle crushing and plastic work consumption was observed for tests terminated after one cyclic loading. Majority of the particle crushing was produced and majority of the plastic work was consumed after the specimen passed through the phase transformation point and until reaching the failure state. The large amount of particle crushing resulted from the high-level strain induced by particle transformation and rotation.

MLCC is one of the most frequently used component in high-tech device like smart phone. Because of dynamic characteristic of piezoelectric materials which is main ingredient of MLCC, its vibration leads to acoustic noise from pcb. To solve this problem at minimal cost, company has to change only the main noise-generating MLCC to low noise-generating MLCC. To find the main noise source, this study approached to solution from a vibration point of view. From mode shapes of pcb at particular frequencies, two groups can be obtained; MLCCs soldered at where maximum deformation occurs and where anti-phase with respect to the other group appears. When the MLCC belongs to 1st group does not working, amplitude at where maximum deformation occurs decreases compared to when all MLCCs are working. This tendency also appears in noise measurement. This analysis can be put to use in various fields where require noise reduction or noise source identification.
The liquid cooling effect of a natural convection type radiator by using the PCM has been investigated experimentally. The radiator size is $423{\times}295{\times}83$ mm and PCM container size is $398{\times}270{\times}26$ mm. The objective is elapsed time higher than maximum time to reach for maximum operating temperature of a general liquid cooling radiator. This study, in order to study on the effects of the phase-change phenomenon, carried out the various mass flow rate, input electric power, ambient and melting point of three type PCM. For the above experimental parameter, the melting time was performed about 180/250/560 min at input power 150 W and ambient $30^{\circ}C$ from using the three type PCM(PCM_S1/S2/S3) respectively. Furthermore, the effects of the thermal dissipation was decreased higher input power than lower input power at heating block and melting time of PCM. However, the effects of mass flow rate did not nearly affect of the thermal performance especially.
Hydrogen risk in the containment filtered venting system (CFVS) vessel was analyzed, considering operation pressure and modes with the effect of PAR and accident scenarios. The CFVS is to depressurize the containment by venting the containment atmosphere through the filtering system. The CFVS could be subject to hydrogen risk due to the change of atmospheric conditions while the containment atmosphere passes through the CFVS. It was found that hydrogen risk increased as the CFVS opening pressure was set higher because more combustible gases generated by Molten Core Concrete Interaction flowed into the CFVS. Hydrogen risk was independent of operation modes and found only at the early phase of venting both for continuous and cyclic operation modes. With PAR, hydrogen risk appeared only at the 0.9 MPa opening pressure for Station Black-Out accidents. Without PAR, however, hydrogen risk appeared even with the CFVS opening set-point of 0.5 MPa. In a slow accident like SBO, hydrogen risk was more threatening than a fast accident like Large Break Loss-of-Coolant Accident. Through this study, it is recommended to set the CFVS opening pressure lower than 0.9 MPa and to operate it in the cyclic mode to keep the CFVS available as long as possible.

A boiling heat transfer system is used in a variety of industrial processes and applications, such as refrigeration, power generation, heat exchangers, cooling of high-power electronics components, and cooling of nuclear reactors. The critical heat flux (CHF) is the thermal limit during a boiling heat transfer phase change; at the CHF point, the heat transfer is maximized, followed by a drastic degradation beyond the CHF point. Therefore, Enhancement of CHF is essential for economy and safety of heat transfer system. In this study, the CHF and heat transfer coefficient under the pool-boiling state were tested using multi-wall carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) CM-95 and CM-100. These two types of multi-wall carbon nanotubes have different sizes but the same thermal conductivity. The results showed that the highest CHF increased for both MWCNTs CM-95 and CM-100 at the volume fraction of 0.001%, and that the CHF-increase ratio for MWCNT CM-100 nanofluid with long particles was higher than that for MWCNT CM-95 nanofluid with short particles. Also, at the volume fraction of 0.001%, the MWCNT CM-100 nanofluid indicated a 5.5% higher CHF-increase ratio as well as an approximately 23.87% higher heat-transfer coefficient increase ratio compared with the MWCNT CM-95 nanofluid.
