초음파 센서의 1차 정합층 두께에 따른 가스탱크 미세누설 수신특성 (Gas Tank Microleakage Reception Characteristics According to Thickness of the First Matching Layer of Ultrasonic Sensor)

  • Ultrasonic sensors show various reception characteristics based on the density of the measurement medium; hence, they are used in various fields to benefit from the characteristics of ultrasonic signals. In this study, the reception characteristics according to the thickness of the first matching layer are compared and analyzed for application to gas tank microleak detection. Accordingly, three types of sensors are manufactured with varying thicknesses of the first matching layer, namely 4.8 mm, 5.1 mm, and 5.5 mm; further, a direct measurement method is used wherein the sensor is attached to the inside of the chamber. Experiments are conducted to observe the phase change due to microleakage, which is the most linear in the sensor with the 4.8 mm thick first matching layer. This is assumed to be the result of stable signal transmission and reception with little phase deviations over time because the first matching layer is closest to the ultrasonic wavelength. The other sensors show nonlinear results with increasing thickness of the first matching layer. Through this study, it is found that appropriately selecting the thickness of the first matching layer of the ultrasonic sensor can greatly influence sensor reliability.

콘텐츠 기반 무선 센서 네트워크 이상 탐지 기법 (A Contents-Based Anomaly Detection Scheme in WSNs)

  • 데이터 중심적인 네트워크인 무선 센서 네트워크는 대량의 센서 노드들이 광범위한 지역에 조밀하게 분산 배치되어 동작한다. 센서 노드들은 일반적으로 열린 환경에서 독립적으로 동작하기 때문에 보안 공격에 취약하다. 본 논문에서는 무선 센서 네트워크를 위한 콘텐츠 기반 이상 탐지 기법을 제안한다. 제안 기법은 무선 센서 네트워크의 특징인 특정한 현상을 여러 개의 센서 노드가 동시에 감지한다는 특성과 센서 노드에서 측정된 데이터인 콘텐츠는 어떤 특정 범위 안에서 변한다는 특성을 이용한다. 제안 기법은 훈련 단계, 적용 단계와 보정 단계로 구성되며 적용 단계에서 거리 기반 이상 탐지(distance-based anomaly detection) 기법을 이용하여 얻게 된 이상치 후보를 보정 단계로 보낸다. 보정 단계는 동일한 현상을 동시에 감지한 센서 노드들의 데이터로 구성된 콘텐츠 테이블과 이상치 후보를 비교, 분석함으로써 이상 탐지 기법의 성능을 향상시킨다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안 탐지 기법이 높은 탐지율과 낮은 오탐율을 가진다는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • To understand a two-phase flow, a liquid film thickness is one of the important factors. A lot of researches have been performed to measure liquid film thickness with various approaches. Recently, an electrical conductance method which uses the conductivity of the liquid film has been widely applied on measuring the liquid film thickness. Though the electrical method has an advantage in high spatial resolution, as the conductivity of liquid can be affected by its temperature variation, the conventional electrical conductance methods have a limitation in being applied on varying temperature conditions where a heat transfer is involved. The purpose of this study is to develop a three-ring liquid film sensor that overcomes the limitation of the conventional method. The three-ring conductance method can measure the film thickness regardless of temperature variation by compensating the change of liquid conductivity. Considering its application on a wide range of conditions such as high temperature or curved surfaces, the sensor was fabricated on flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) in this study. This paper presents the concept of the measurement method, design procedure, prototype sensor fabrication and calibration results.

  • A method for detecting the three-phase currents of a voltage-fed pulsewidth modulated(PWM) inverter is proposed by utilizing only one current sensor placed on the dc-link. The proposed space vector PWM technique is two phase modulated PWM, this enables to detect the phase currents from only one DC link current sensor. The proposed method is simple, reduces the cost, and provides the small detection errors.

  • This paper presents a PLL(Phase Lock Loop) control method for speed control of high speed miniature BLDCM(Brushless DC Motor) using hall sensor. The Proposed PLL based speed control method uses a only phase shift between reference pulse signal according to speed reference and actual pulse signal from hall sensor. It doesn't use any speed calculation, and calculates a direct current reference from phase shift. The current reference is changed to reduce the phase shift between reference and actual pulse. So the actual speed can keep the reference speed. The proposed control scheme is very simple but effective speed control is possible.

Development of adaptive optics system for SNUO 1m telescope

  • Adaptive Optics (AO) is the technology for ground-based telescopes to overcome the interference caused by atmospheric turbulence. We are developing an AO system for the 1-m telescope at Seoul National University Observatory (SNUO). The seeing size of the SNUO is 2 arcseconds on average, and 0.85 arcseconds at best condition. Our system is based on MEMS deformable mirror and Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor. We developed the wavefront sensor using a cheap CMOS camera, and measured phase disturbance at SNUO. To verify the performance of the AO system, we designed an artificial phase disturber that produces similar scale phase error, measured at SNUO. We carried out laboratory tests in which the AO system measures and corrects the wavefront using the phase disturber and an F/6 light source, the same as that of SNUO telescope. The control system was developed in C++. The system performs closed-loop PI correction up to 100 Hz at a consumer-grade PC.

안압의 비접촉 검출을 위한 MEMS 기반의 센서 설계 (Design of a Wireless Intraocular Pressure Sensor Based on MEMS Technology)

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간 안압 모니터링을 위한 안압 센서와 안압에 따른 안압 센서의 공진 주파수를 검출 할 수 있는 외부 코일을 설계 및 구현 하였다. 안압 센서는 3-D EM 시뮬레이션을 통하여 설계 하였고, MEMS 기반 기술로 구현 되었다. 측정 결과로서, 안압 센서의 공진 주파수는 외부 코일의 공진 주파수에 비하여 낮아야 하며, 안압 센서의 공진 주파수가 외부 코일의 공진 주파수에 근접 하게 위치 할 때, 위상 변화량이 높아짐을 확인 하였다. 또한, 안압 센서는 외부 코일과의 거리에 따라 최대위상 변화가 발생하는 지점이 불변하여야 하는데, 설계된 안압 센서는 외부 코일과의 거리가 변화 할 때, 최대위상 변화량 자체는 변화 하지만, 최대위상 변화가 발생하는 지점이 동일함을 확인 하였다.

  • This paper proposes a novel current control method of three-phase PWM rectifiers without phase current sensors. The features of this method are to reconstruct phase currents by using switching pattern of space vector modulation and to estimate phase currents by a predictive state observer for practical applications. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed system is nearly the same as that of sensor-based system.

  • A new method of stbilizing the sagnac interferometric fiber optic current sensor inteh presence of birefringences and phase is presented. This method is realized by dividing the output of the ac current signal with the modulation signal output. Using the technique the stability of the current sensor was improve dmore than 4.5 times at 800Arms for 2 hours. The current sensor also shows good linearity up to 100Arms.

Solid Electrochemical Method of Measuring Hydrogen Concentration with O2-/H+ Hetero-Ionic Junction

  • A novel method for measuring hydrogen concentration is introduced, along with its working principle and a novel detection algorithm. This configuration requires no additional reference compartment for potentiometric electrochemical measurements; therefore, it is the most suitable for measuring dissolved hydrogen in the liquid phase. The sensor's electromotive force saturates at a certain point, depending on the hydrogen concentration during the heating process of the sensor operation. This dynamic temperature scanning method provides higher sensitivity than the constant temperature measurement method.
