Optimization of a Composite Laminated Structure by Network-Based Genetic Algorithm

  • Genetic alsorithm (GA) , compared to the gradient-based optimization, has advantages of convergence to a global optimized solution. The genetic algorithm requires so many number of analyses that may cause high computational cost for genetic search. This paper proposes a personal computer network programming based on TCP/IP protocol and client-server model using socket, to improve processing speed of the genetic algorithm for optimization of composite laminated structures. By distributed processing for the generated population, improvement in processing speed has been obtained. Consequently, usage of network-based genetic algorithm with the faster network communication speed will be a very valuable tool for the discrete optimization of large scale and complex structures requiring high computational cost.

  • Investments in information and communication technologies (ICT) around the world have grown at an enormous rate over the past two decades, which reflects a new emphasis on consumer mobile devices. A social network service (SNS) is an online service that aims to build social relations among people who share interests and activities. The role of SNS is enormous for communicating ideas and opinions among social participants. The use of SNS has recently become one of the most popular social activities worldwide. This research investigated relation between personal characteristics, social characteristics and user satisfaction on SNS then, analyzed how these factors affecting continuance usage intention on SNS users. The conclusion is summarized as below. The study results show that informativeness, pleasure, innovativeness, relationship and empathy of SNS are having positive impact to some degree on the user satisfaction. Further, the user satisfaction of SNS users and quality of life have a positive impact on the continuance usage intention of SNS users. This results show that various SNS qualities are necessary to actively explore and obtain further information that users intend to find, while they are insufficient in function to provide the information other users require or exchange information with other users through the SNS.

주파수가변형 무선PAN단말을 위한 전류모드 아날로그 FIR 필터의 설계 (A Design of Current-Mode Analog FIR Filter for Wireless Home Network)

  • 이 논문에서는 주파수 가변형 무선 personal area network(PAN) 통신시스템 및 단말에 적용이 가능한 응용 회로로써, 탭계수(tap coefficient) 회로를 가변시련 수 있는 전류모드 아날로그 finite impulse response (FIR) 필터를 제안한다. 가변되는 7-tap FIR 필터의 동작은 컴퓨터 모의실험으로부터 확인하였고, $0.8[{\mu}m]$ CMOS 공정기술을 사용하여 0.0625-step 탭계수 회로가 제작되었다. 제안된 FIR 필터는 탭계수의 길이와 계수를 가변시킬 수 있기 때문에 주파수 가변형 무선 PAN통신 시스템 및 단말기에 적용 가능한 유용한 특성을 갖는다.

  • 개인정보 보호법 제2조는 개인식별정보, 비밀정보 및 바이오 정보 등을 개인정보로 정의하고 제29조에서 개인정보에 대한 불법열람 및 유출을 방지하기 위해 적정한 수준의 기술적, 관리적, 물리적 안전조치를 취해야 하는 것으로 명시하고 있다. 정보통신망법 제28조 제1항, 시행규칙 제9조, 방송통신위원회 고시에서도 이에 관해 규정하고 있다. 이를 만족하기 위해서 개인정보의 안전성 확보조치를 취해야 하는 공공기관이나 기업들 등의 주체들이 기술적 조치를 적용하고, 이를 지속적으로 운영하고 관리하기 위해 적극적인 방안을 수립하고 실천해 나갈 것이 요구된다. 기술적 안전성 확보는 개인정보에 대한 암호화, 암호화키에 대한 안전한 관리와 운용, 개인정보 열람에 대한 접근제어와 감사를 제공하는 개인정보 보호수준을 도입함으로써 가능하다. 이 논문에서는 개인정보의 기술적 안전성 조치로서 핵심요소인 개인정보의 암호화에 대해서 다양한 기술을 분석하고자 한다. 이는 개인 정보 보호의 기술방안을 선택하는데 있어 도움이 될 수 있을 것이다.

Why do We Share Information? Explaining Information Sharing Behavior through a New Conceptual Model between Sharer to Receiver within SNS

  • Social networking services (SNS) is an indispensable method in order to obtain information of the Internet participants. The study identified three variables of social media communication, sharing culture, and online trust in terms of social capital theory (SCT) and reviewed intention& behavior variables in terms of theory of planned behavior (TPB). The data were collected from 330 samples of SNS user, and were involved, and the research model uses AMOS to make confirmatory factor analysis. The findings confirmed our hypothesis that social media communication, sharing culture, and online trust affect individuals' behaviors to sharing information. This study emphasizes that not only social media communication but also sharing culture to SNS can stimulate information sharing. while previous research has predominately focused on personal cognition or social network, the study examines the integrated influence of communication, culture and trust on information sharing in SNS. In sum, by explicating the unique role of social capital, this paper aims at contributing to the continued development and success of SNS in general.

  • DDoS와 같은 악성 네트워크 공격은 뚜렷한 대비책이 없으며, 그 피해 또한 막대하다. 특히, 스마트폰이 감염되어 좀비화 될 경우 통신요금 과금 및 개인정보 유출 등 네트워크 장애와 더불어 다양한 사용자 피해가 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 스마트폰이 악성코드에 감염되어 좀비 서비스가 실행되는 동안 나타나는 현상 및 징들을 추출하고 좀비 스마트폰을 예방하는 대응기술을 소개한다.

Adaptive Bandwidth Allocation for QoS Guaranteed VLC Based WPAN

  • Visible light communication based wireless personal area network (WPAN) has recently remained in the center of attention, as it shows a lot of promise to a be a perfect replacement for the contemporary Radio frequency (RF) communication at least in the indoor environment. A commercially deployable VLC based WPAN must support diverse traffic requirement for different kinds of service. In this paper, we have proposed an innovative bandwidth allocation scheme for VLC based WPAN. We wish to allocate bandwidth adaptively for users in a network where bandwidth for each user is allocated scalably. Our aim is to allow maximum number of users in a VLC based WPAN where each user is guaranteed their required QoS. The simulation results justify that the proposed scheme is better than the conventional scheme.

  • GSM(Global System for Mobile Communications)은 전 세계 이동통신 네트워크상의 와이드스프레드 로밍과 개인휴대통신을 지원하는 전 유럽 디지털 셀룰러 모바일 시스템이다. 그러나 보안기능 제공에도 불구하고, GSM에는 사용자인증과 같은 문제점들이 존재한다. 본고에서는 사용자인증문제 해결을 위해 각 네트워크 개체를 강력하게 인증하고 사용자의 프라이버시를 위해 익명성을 제공하는 향상된 사용자인증 메커니즘을 제안한다.

PDA를 이용한 휴대용 Electronic Nose 시스템 개발 (Design of a Potable Electronic Nose System using PDA)

  • We have designed a portable electronic nose (e-nose) system using an array of commercial gas sensors and personal digital assistants (PDA) for the recognition and analysis of volatile organic compounds (VOC) in the field. Field screening of pollutants has been a target of instrumental development during the past years. A portable e-nose system was advantageous to localize the special extent of a pollution or to find pollutants source. The employment of PDA improved the user-interface and data transfer by Internet from on-site to remote computer. We adapted the Lavenberg-Marquardt algorithm based on the back-propagation and proposed the method that could predict the concentration levels of VOC gases after classification by separating neural network into two parts.

A Video Smoke Detection Algorithm Based on Cascade Classification and Deep Learning

  • Fires are a common cause of catastrophic personal injuries and devastating property damage. Every year, many fires occur and threaten human lives and property around the world. Providing early important sign for early fire detection, and therefore the detection of smoke is always the first step in fire-alarm systems. In this paper we propose an automatic smoke detection system built on camera surveillance and image processing technologies. The key features used in our algorithm are to detect and track smoke as moving objects and distinguish smoke from non-smoke objects using a convolutional neural network (CNN) model for cascade classification. The results of our experiment, in comparison with those of some earlier studies, show that the proposed algorithm is very effective not only in detecting smoke, but also in reducing false positives.
