Personal robot consist of various modules that have independent functions. Because personal robot has requirement that support various construction for user's tendency. Therefore, Middleware mechanism at support not only personal robot's main functional element but also embedded modules functional elements is required. Each module have various heterogeneous network interfaces and variable services and variables. Therefore, Middleware must support these various network interfaces. This paper, pointed in Controller Area Network(CAN) inreface that usually used in embedded system for control. For connect various heterogeneous network interfaces (Ethernet, RS232 etc..), it is necessary to modify bagic CAN frame format. And also make some kind of BUS topology for CAN network.

With the progress of portable appliances such as cell phone and handhold PC, the popularization of Personal Area Network (PAN) and the diversification of services that are based on Personal Mobile Gateway (PMG) . To use home services at any time regardless of their Position, it needs a virtual home network that a home network and outside networks are finally integrated. Although interoperability among home appliances reached their service stage, research for services and middleware for new small scale network such as PAN is at an early stage. Traditional home network service/connection methods, terminal control schemes, and middlewares must be extended to accommodate PMG-based PAM. In this paper, we propose an integrated virtual home network Platform that guarantees seamless connections between home network and PAM. We also analyze indispensable functions and presents functions that should be added existent home gateway or home sewer by function.

IEEE 802.15 WPAN(Wireless personal area network) technologies represented by Bluetooth are prevalent these days. However, they have short radio coverage and thus cannot be used to build a SNS for servicing users spread over a wide area. In this paper, we develop a mobile SNS(Social Network System) that does not necessitate any infrastructure support using the Bluetooth technology and the mobility based information dissemination technique. Using so-called mobility assisted data dissemination technique we overcome the short radio range restriction of WPAN technologies. We develop Blue Market, a free online marketplace program, as a proof of concept.

Our research is for development of smart object in WBAN environment. Too many smart object in various computing device were developed, but users always attention to their lot of smart objects and any personal things now. So we need smart object that classification and management all of user's personal devices and any effects in invisible and seamless system. We discussed how develop do that object in WBAN(Wireless Body Area Network) system and how make components in this system to wireless network in this paper.

In this paper we propose a new efficient authentication protocol that reduces overheads of computation for digital signature generation/verification on mobile devices in the Personal Area Network (PAN). In particular, we focus on eliminating the traditional public key operations on mobile devices without any assistance of a signature server. Moreover, the proposed protocol provides a simplified procedure for certificate status management to alleviate communication and computational costs on mobile devices in the PAN.

하나의 기술을 넘어 인간 생활 자체로서 발돋움한 네트워크는 인터넷을 바탕으로 하여 Home Area Network에 이어 Personal Area Network란 신개념을 창출하였다. 이는 단순히 기술의 발전을 통한 개인 생활의 효용성 증대란 의미 외에 네트워크 기술이 해결해야 할 필연적인 과제로서 이에 대한 시장과 관심은 점점 더 커져가고 있는 실정이다. 본 고에서는 PAN의 구현에 필요한 다양한 무선 기반의 기술들을 소개하며, 단순한 근거리 무선 통신 기술을 넘어 이제는 3세대 이동 통신망의 주요 요소 기술로까지 발전하고 있는 Bluetooth 기술이 어떠한 연구와 방식을 통해 개인 정보망에 적용될 수 있는지 알아보고자 한다.

The Wireless Internet services widely spread out with the developments of CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) networks and wireless units. In contrast to the telecommunication network, WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network) enables to transmit data and voice in personal area. Although WPAN technologies are commercially utilized, the combined services with COMA network are not so poplar up to now. Various services can be provided using the combination between COMA and WPAN. This paper presents the practical and united model between COMA and WPAN. Specially, the main focus of this research lies on the design of the Middle-ware system of a handset which could be managing both COMA and WPAN. This system used Bluethooth by WPAN. For the devices with the proposed WPAN Middle-ware, service areas of the COMA network can be expanded to WPAN, various services can be realized by the transmission of data and voice, and consequently, the user computing environment could be improved.

It is essential to investigate the structure and the main characteristics of BSN (Bio-Sensor Network) platform in built smart healthcare environment while designing healthy housing facilities. For this study, WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) data transmission technologies have been employed with medical sensors, and optimal medical devices would provide various Web 2.0 services by connecting to the WiBro network. The BSN platform normally recognizes in surroundings of WBAN (Wireless Body Area Network) or WPAN (Wireless Personal Area Network), and it is possible to manage sensor nodes by utilizing SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) and REST (REpresentational State Transfer). In addition, the feature of SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) for mobile gateway is also included for being adapted to huge network structure. Finally, BSN platform will play a role as important clues for developing personal WSN service models for smart healthy housing properties.

In this paper, the performance of high data rate-wirelesss personal area network(HDR-WPAN) system is analyzed under multi-path indoor channel. In the analysis, Saleh and Valenzuel channel model is used for the multi-path indoor channel. From the results, HDR-WPAN system has reliability of 10-5 at Eb/No = 18.5dB in multi-path indoor channel. It is a suitable performance for high data rate personal area network applications.

본 논문은 기존 자동차 블랙박스 시스템에서 교통사고 현장정보를 분석할 때 좀 더 명확한 현장정보를 수집하기 위해 정보수집에 사용되는 각 센서(정보수집센서)의 설치 위치의 제약을 해결하고자 각 정보수집센서를 무선으로 연결하기 위해 WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network)을 적용한 시스템을 설계한다.
