  • This study was conducted to determine the reasonable soaking period of glutinous rice for laver Bugak (Korean traditional fried dishes) processing and to identify the sensory characteristics of three kinds of laver Bugak made with different starch pastes: GRice_1d using glutinous rice soaked for 1 day; GRice_7d using glutinous rice fermented for 7 days; and Wheat using flour. Descriptive analysis was performed by 10 trained panelists, and the 92 consumers evaluated the overall acceptance (OL), acceptance of appearance (APPL), odor (ODL), flavor (FLL), and texture (TXTL) of the samples using a 9-point hedonic scale. From the measurement result by scanning electron microscope (SEM), there were differences in the surface characteristics among soaking period for 1 day and 7 days. Ten panelists were trained, and they evaluated the appearance, odor/aroma, flavor/taste, texture/mouth feel, and after taste attributes of these samples. 36 attributes were generated by panelists and 12 attribute were significantly different across products (p<0.05). It was found that the Grice_7d sample was characterized by mouthfeel of crispiness and uniformity of bubbles, and the Wheat sample was characterized by surface of roughness, mouthfeel of crispiness and adhesiveness, relatively. And the Grice_1d sample was characterized by surface of roughness, mouthfeel of roughness, hardness, cohesiveness, toughness, and adhesiveness.

  • An effective way to understand the dynamic and time series that follows the passage of time, as valuation is to establish a model to analyze the phenomena of the system. Model of the decision process is efficient clustering information of the total mass of the time series data of the relevant population been collected in a particular number of sub-groups than to look at all a time to an understand of the overall data through each community-specific model determination. In this study, a sub-grouping of the group and the first of the two process model of each cluster by determining, in the following in sub-population characterized by a fusion with heuristic Bayesian clustering techniques proposed a process which can reduce calculation time and cost was confirmed by experiments using actual effectiveness valuation.

  • This thesis investigates the quantitative aspect of epidemic phenomena utilizing the analytical method of discrete time systems based on the theory of Markov processes. In particular, the pattern on the epidemic character of Influenza was analyzed by the mathematical model of Influenza system, which is derived according to the ecologic relationship between five epidemiolgic states of individuals. The quantitative aspects of the model was characterized by digital computer simulations. The main results were obtained as follows: 1) A Markovian model of influenza system represents accurate spead curve. 2) The latent period of influenza has the standard deviation of 1.98 and also the incubation period is 2.68. 3) If the value of susceptibilities in the pre-epidemic period is less than 20% of the population, the epidemic will occur sporadically. 4) The initial value of susceptibilties obtained by this markov theory is less about 10% of total population than the obtained value according to the deterministic model.

  • This paper addresses the allocation planning of the storage location in a warehouse system that the dedicated storage method is used. In the discrete finite time period model, the demands for storage location of products are dynamic for time periods. The planning is to determine the reallocation time period and the storage location of the products in reallocation time period, which minimizes costs. The cost factors are the reallocation cost, the travel cost within warehouse and the surplus storage location cost. A model is formulated, and the property of optimal solution is characterized. The dynamic programming algorithm is developed, and a numerical example is shown.

  • The concentrations of gaseous mercury (Hg) determined between two different time periods of the late 1980s and the late 1990s were compared to account for the effects of changes between source/sink relationships of atmospheric Hg in an urban area. The Hg concentration levels were different remarkably between the two time periods due possibly to changes in source/sink relationships. The results showed that the Hg levels in the former period were measured to be 14.4${\pm}$9.56ngm$^{-3}$ (N = 2714), whereas those of the latter period were characterized by approximately three-fold decreased values of 5.34${\pm}$3.92 ngm$^{-3}$ (N=2576). Using two independent measurement data sets, we examined the patterns of Hg distribution at different time scales. When analyzed over 24 hour scale, these data sets exhibited two distinctive distribution patterns. The former period showed enhanced concentration levels during daytime, while the latter period showed relative depletion during daytime. The patterns of the two data sets were also examined over seasonal scale. The results of two different time periods consistently showed the occurrences of maximum seasonal values during winter. The former period was characterized by seasonal patterns of fuel consumption with excessive Hg levels during winter. Conversely, no distinctive trend was apparent for the latter period with slight changes in concentration levels across seasons. In order to analyze the factors affecting Hg distributions between two different periods, we conducted both correlation and factor analysis on both all data sets and on seasonally divided data groups. The results of these analyses consistently indicate that the Hg concentration levels for two different time periods are regulated by distinctive source processes that are characteristic of each period.

  • Regarding the figure painting of the T'ang period, by Yeomipbon, a representative painter of the early T'ang period, shows a traditional painting style. Figure paintings of the Prosperous T'ang period, influenced by Odoja's painting style, are characterized as illustrating the lives of noble women delicately with brilliant colors. They include Janghwon's and in which Chinese traditional and Western painting styles were combined. , and , which were painted by Jubang in the mid T'ang period, were the developmentally succeeded the figure painting style of the previous times, illustrating even the psychological and emotional states of painted figures in a sophisticated way. Skin make-ups shown in figure paintings of the T'ang period are mostly baekjang in type. Besides, other different types of the make=up such as bihajang, dohwajang and juwoonjang can be seen. The paintings, show that the tone of skin got more and more red as the times moved from the early to the late T'ang periods because rouge was more and more used as the times passed between the periods. As a type of forehead make-up, aekhwang is found in Janghwon's and of the late T'ang period. Hwajeon is seen in lots of figure paintings made between the Prosperous the late T'ang periods. Most eyelid make-ups shown in the figure paintings are round-shaped wolmi and yuhyeopmi in type. Besides, other creative types like gyeyeopmi, paljami and iljami are found. Lips are found made up clearer and more red as the times went from the early and the late T'ang periods. The types of cheek make-up like sahong and jangyeop can't be found in figure paintings of the T'ang period.

  • Korean Landscape Garden may be described according to its stage of development. In the primitive agricultural era, the garden was preceded by vegetable yards and at this time rock arranging (Soo-Sok garden) was initiated together with the megalithis culture of dolmens, heavenly altars and tumuli. In the early Three Kingdom period palace gardens were built on a grand scale and toward the end of fourth century temple garden were introduced along with Buddhism. These gardens evolved to the flourishment of "HWAGE"(terraced gardens) rock arrangements of ZEN, early KOR-YO period. Especially since the middle of KOR-Yo period the "IM-CHUN"(forest and pond) garden became popular, while during Cho-Son period "HWAGE" in the back yard, pond and pool garden and "IM-CHUN" style country villa became fashionable. The Korea traditional Landscape garde may be characterized that first it is a nature Landscape style, which makes the maximum accomodation with the surrounding nature. Secondly, the Korean garden is built creatively by utilizing the elements of its climate and topography, Kogu-Ryo, Paik-Je great-Kaya and Sil-Ra had developed original a castle town plans and beautiful gardens rock arrangements which precede the equivalent style of China and set the prototype for Japan. The Landscape art of waterfalls and rock arrangements at An-Ap-Chi garden of 7th century has no equals in China and set the origin of pond style of Japanese garden.
