This paper proposes an advanced crop classification model that combines a procedure for weighted combination of spatial features extracted from multi-scale input images with a conventional convolutional neural network (CNN) structure. The proposed model first extracts spatial features from patches with different sizes in convolution layers, and then assigns different weights to the extracted spatial features by considering feature-specific importance using squeeze-and-excitation block sets. The novelty of the model lies in its ability to extract spatial features useful for classification and account for their relative importance. A case study of crop classification with multi-temporal Landsat-8 OLI images in Illinois, USA was carried out to evaluate the classification performance of the proposed model. The impact of patch sizes on crop classification was first assessed in a single-patch model to find useful patch sizes. The classification performance of the proposed model was then compared with those of conventional two CNN models including the single-patch model and a multi-patch model without considering feature-specific weights. From the results of comparison experiments, the proposed model could alleviate misclassification patterns by considering the spatial characteristics of different crops in the study area, achieving the best classification accuracy compared to the other models. Based on the case study results, the proposed model, which can account for the relative importance of spatial features, would be effectively applied to classification of objects with different spatial characteristics, as well as crops.

Sol-gel method which provides better electrochemical and physiochemical properties compared to the solid-state method was used to synthesize the material of $LiFe_yMn_{2-y}O_4$. Fe was substituted to increase the structural stability so that the effects of the substitution amount and sintering temperature were analyzed. XRD was used for the structural analysis of produced material, which in turn, showed the same cubic spinel structure as $LiMn_2O_4$ despite the substitution of $Fe^{3+}$. During the synthesis of $LiFe_yMn_{2-y}O_4$, as the sintering temperature and the doping amount of Fe(y=0.05, 0.1, 0.2)were increased, grain growth proceeded which in turn, showed a high crystalline and a large grain size, certain morphology with narrow specific surface area and large pore volume distribution was observed. In order to examine the ability for the practical use of the battery, charge-discharge tests were undertaken. When the substitution amount of $Fe^{3+}\;into\;LiMn_2O_4$ increased, the initial discharge capacity showed a tendency to decrease within the region of $3.0\~4.2V$ but when charge-discharge processes were repeated, other capacity maintenance properties turned out to be outstanding. In addition, when the sintering temperature was $800\~850^{\circ}C$, the initial capacity was small but showed very stable cycle performance. According to EVS(electrochemical voltage spectroscopy) test, $LiFe_yMn_{2-y}O_4(y=0,\;0.05,\;0.1,\;0.2)$ showed two plateau region and the typical peaks of manganese spinel structure when the substitution amount of $Fe^{3+}$ increased, the peak value at about 4.15V during the charge-discharge process showed a tendency to decrease. From the previous results, the local distortion due to the biphase within the region near 4.15V during the lithium extraction gave a phase transition to a more suitable single phase. When the transition was derived, the discharge capacity decreased. However the cycle performance showed an outstanding result.

With the rapid progress of electronics and radio communication technology, human enjoys greater freedom in information communication. However, EMW(Electro-Magnetic Wave) environments have become more complicate and difficult to control. Thus, international organizations, such as the American National Standard Institution(ANSI), Federal Communications Commission(FCC), the Comite Internationale Special des Perturbations Radio Electrique(CISPR), etc, have provided standard for controlling the EM wave environments and for the countermeasure of the electromagnetic compatibility(EMC). In this paper, fabrication of the smart EMW absorber which has heat radiating function and high performance absorption abilities were suggested. Furthermore, we prospected future smart EMW absorbers. The designed smart EMW absorber is fabricated following process. Firstly, we applied high temperature heat treated to a mixture of Iron-oxide($Fe_2O_3$) and ceramics. Secondly, we applied low temperature heat treated to the mixture of heat treated material and a carbon material. Lastly, we made apertures on the absorber. The designed smart EM wave absorber has the absorption ability of more than 20 dB from 2 GHz to 2.45 GHz band, respectively. Thus, it is respected that these results can be applied as various EMC devices in electronic, communication, and controlling systems.
This study focuses on two points. First, I have examined the difference on combustion between flame-retardant and non flame-retardant products including vertical blinds and roll screens that are widely used as a substitute for fabric curtains. The second point is to see how long flame-retardant goods can be durable, that is, flame retardant durability after washing in liquid. the experiment on the flame-retardant ability before and after washing of vertical blinds and roll screens that have been used for a long time in fire protection construct. Comparing and analyzing domestic and foreign laws on flame-retardant after the experiment on durability of these products. I aim to draw necessity for increased application of internal laws and regulations on flame-retardant and show how to improve the point at issue. According to the result, clear differences in performance and safety were observed between flame-retardant and non flame-retardant products. flame-retardant materials can prevent things from fire spread without igniting but melting when they've met flame and burnt, In contrast, non flame-retardant material for experiment which size is 120cm long takes less than 3 minutes only to be completely destroyed by fire. However, it was expected for flame-retardant durability of flame-retardant blinds which are not washable to decrease flame-retardant durability after being washed with water, there was no sharp difference. so it is demonstrated that flame-retardant blinds can keep flame-retardant durability. accordingly through the strict course of product we are concerned about keeping durability.
Many researches have recently discussed about the film thickness as a good substitute or supplement for VMA or other volumetric criteria in the design procedure. Some researchers have not only proposed the specific number for the recommended film thickness, but also introduced the new calculation procedures or concepts. Each model (index model and the virtual model) has its own advantages and disadvantages in terms of the ability to account for the volumetric properties of the mixture. In this paper, the modified virtual model was proposed to combine advantages from both models. However, it cannot be disregarded the way to determine the appropriate particle shape factors for different sources and sizes of aggregates. In order to evaluate the different calculation methods, mixtures with two aggregate sources and eight gradations were designed based on the dominant aggregate size range (DASR) porosity concept. Superpave indirect tensile test (IDT) and asphalt pavement analyzer (AEA) test were used to describe the performance of mixtures. Test results indicated that the virtual model, which is the same to the modified virtual model for sphere 1:1 case, is better than the conventional standard model to define the range of the film thickness to have better performance of asphalt mixtures.
In this study, we are trying to verify humidity control capability of the exhibition environment of cultural property by measuring adsorption and desorption performance, the control ability of harmful substances by the adsorption experiments of harmful gases. In the experiment of adsorption and desorption performance, in the low humidity area, Artsorb desorbed overwhelmingly more than activated carbon whereas activated carbon absorbed more. Adsorption speed was faster slightly in Artsorb absorption speed was similar in both. In the middle humidity area, absorption by artsorb was slightly more and desorption was similar in both so characteristic of Artsorb didn't appear. Also, Adsorption speed was faster in activated carbon but in the process of desorption, the speed of Artsorb was faster. In adsorption experiment of harmful substances, the concentration in the environment with activated carbon was lower than one with Artsorb, but the difference appeared small. And as a result of observation of the difference in concentration due to adsorption of harmful gas by the change in the metal specimen, the most change was shown in lead specimen and the color difference between the lead specimens of the activated carbon and Artsorb appeared greatly.
The purpose of this research is to bring to the center of focus, the ad creativity, which in turn can generate the highest advertising effects. The study excludes external factors such as personal relationships, academic network and lobbying powers which were prevalent in the Korean situation. A transformational leader can influence charisma, inspiration, intellectual stimulation, individual consideration and performance goal. As the result of this study shows, the core competence that a C.D. may always want to possess at present as well as in the future is to "motivate inspiration". Charisma may be an ability currently in need but this may not necessarily be so in the future. It may be predicted that a softer quality, which is knowledge-based, that provides intellectual stimulation may be a more valued characteristic. It has been suggested that in the increasingly diversifying society of the future, charisma may be a barrier to enhancing creativity. In times of uncertainty and ambiguity, innovative ideas bring economic rewards (Cockayne, 2004). There may be conflicts of views and opinions between individuals and organizations. Turning these into positive outcome to produce innovative ideas, may be an area of further study. However, there must have been studies where informal networking has produced innovative ideas. Therefore, a transformational leader of an organization needs to investigate the dynamics of informal networking within his team.
The appropriate interpretation of social cues is a crucial ability for everyday life. While processing socially relevant information, beyond the low-level physical features of the stimuli to emotional information is known to influence human cognition in various stages, from early perception to later high-level cognition, such as working memory (WM). However, it remains unclear how the influence of each type of emotional information on cognitive processes changes in response to what has occurred in the processing stage. Past studies have largely adopted face stimuli to address this type of research question, but we used a unique class of socially relevant motion stimuli, called biological motion (BM), which depicts various human actions and emotions with moving dots to exhibit the effects of anger, happiness, and neutral emotion on task performance in perceptual and working memory. In this study, participants determined whether two BM stimuli, sequentially presented with a delay between them (WM task) or one immediately after the other (perceptual task), were identical. The perceptual task showed that discrimination accuracies for emotional stimuli (i.e., angry and happy) were lower than those for neutral stimuli, implying that emotional information has a negative impact on early perceptual processes. Alternatively, the results of the WM task showed that the accuracy drop as the interstimulus interval increased was actually lower in emotional BM conditions than in the neutral condition, which suggests that emotional information benefited maintenance. Moreover, anger and happiness had distinct impacts on the performance of perception and WM. Our findings have significance as we provide evidence for the interaction of type of emotion and information-processing stage.

In this study, various conflicts in the maritime police organization were diagnosed and police subculture, which is different from dominant mainstream maritime police culture, was concluded to cause conflicts. In addition, maritime police conflicts and conflicts due to the balance, confrontation, and contradiction between bureaucratic and democratic values in the maritime police organization itself are discussed. The results of analysis on the effects of Maritime police subculture on organizational conflict are as follows: First, the influence of cynicism on functional conflict was explored. The higher the level of lies of the persons under investigation, the more functional conflict appeared. Also, if a person showed a low level of credibility among the police, this also led to functional conflict. In addition, if an individual showed low levels of cooperation and credibility with the police, this resulted in hierarchical conflict. Second, the influence of machismo on functional conflict was also explored. It was found that female officers experienced conflicts because of poorer job performance compared to male counterparts. In hierarchical issues, female officers experienced conflict over the reduced scope of tasks assigned to them and lower job performance ability. Third, the effect of non-acceptance of change in functional conflict was not statistically significant. An aggressive attitude toward crime control and rejecting jobs unrelated to crime influenced functional conflict, and an aggressive attitude and performing jobs unrelated to crime lead to functional conflict.
Multimedia consumer electronics(CE) devices, such as MP3 players, PMPs, and digital cameras, are electronic equipments used to record, play or create multimedia data. Most multimedia CE devices provide uses with the ability to search multimedia stored in the device and browse the search results. One of the unique requirements in multimedia CE devices is that the search results displayed in the screen must be restored quickly when the device powers off and later back on. For this purpose, the existing methods (1) re-execute the original search query, and (2) move the cursor to the original position in the search results. However, this approach may be inefficient when the number of records in the result set is large. In this paper, we propose an efficient method for multimedia CE devices that can quickly restore the search results displayed in the screen when the device powers off and later back on. The proposed method can retrieve the original search results in the screen quickly by saving and loading some information about the query evaluation plan. Though the performance evaluation, we show that the proposed method provides excellent performance regardless of the number of records in tile result set or the original cursor position.
