In this paper, we propose a new performance comparison method of various Interpolation methods for image enlargement The conventional methods employs PSNR and edge characteristic evaluation for performance comparison of interpolation methods. The proposed performance comparison method uses the position Information for each difference pixel's value and the frequency characteristic information between original image and Interpolated image. The proposed methods might be useful for performance comparison of various Interpolation methods through the computer simulation.

WSN은 배터리와 같은 제한된 전원을 가진 센서 노드가 무선으로 구성된 네트워크이다. 센서 노드의 배터리가 모두 소모되면 해당 노드는 더는 동작하지 않으며, 일정 이상의 노드가 동작하지 않으면 네트워크는 제 역할을 하지 못하게 된다. 따라서 노드의 에너지 효율을 높여 에너지 소모를 최소화하면 네트워크의 수명을 증가시킬 수 있다. 에너지 효율을 높이기 위한 프로토콜은 다양하게 있으며, 그중 클러스터 방식과 체인 방식의 프로토콜이 있다. 본 논문은 무선 센서 네트워크의 성능 향상을 위해 별도로 연구한 라우팅 프로토콜의 성능 평가를 검토하고자 한다. 비교 기준은 대표적인 계층 라우팅 프로토콜인 LEACH 프로토콜로 선택되었으며, 비교 대상은 CHEF와 FLCFP, LEACH-DFL 라우팅 프로토콜로 퍼지 로직과 함께 고려되었다. 본 논문에서는 성능 비교를 위한 다양한 기준이 제시되었으며, 각 프로토콜의 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 비교하였다. CHEF, FLCFP, LEACH-DFL의 성능 비교, LEACH, Puzzy Logic과의 프로토콜 등을 통해 다른 프로토콜의 성능을 비교하기 위한 기준점을 제시하고, 프로토콜의 성능 향상을 위한 추가적인 설계 방법을 제공하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

In this paper, time comparison is performed with standardization institution in Japan using a Two-Way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer (TWSTFT) technique as one of the methods for high precision time comparison. To analyze the performance of time comparison in the TWSTFT method, time comparison results via the Global Positioning System (GPS) code and carrier wave are analyzed. Through the time comparison performance, frequency stability is analyzed using modified Allan deviation and by this result, characteristics of time comparison of the TWSTFT that is utilized in international time comparison are presented.

In MANET, the AODV routing protocol with on-demand method has a problem in large control packet overhead. In order to improve this, we first need a comprehensive analysis of correlation between performance metrics and factors affecting the performance of AODV. Selected parameters based on this analysis make it enable to be a more accurate and fair performance analysis, as well as to reduce the time and effort when constructing a scenario for performance analysis. In this paper, various scenarios are configured to apply AODV by varying the values of factors affecting the performance with network simulator QualNet 5.0, and then the results are analysed using performance metrics proposed by IETF MANET working group. This paper also founds a correlation between performance metrics and factors affecting the performance for AODV routing protocol, choosing the values of factors that represent many of the most maximum and minimum values of each performance metrics, and proposes optimal simulation parameters for a more accurate performance evaluation of routing protocols with minimal scenario in experiments. Next, performance comparison of AODV, DSR and DYMO routing protocols based on the proposed simulation parameters is shown which provides a comparative analysis on the performance of on-demand routing protocols. Results of this paper could be very useful for the researcher or service provider who wants to find nice simulation environment or select a proper routing protocol.

Comparison challenge approach is proposed as a form of challenger-activated. just-in-time Internet advertising. To develop a framework for a comparison challenge, we propose a theory of comparison value. A comparison is regarded valuable if a comparison opportunity is available and if the comparison is relevant and informative, has an appropriate level of detail, and is advantageous and trustworthy. Based on this theory, the CompareMe and CompareThem strategies are devised, and comparable objects are classified in terms of price and performance dominance as well as the scope of proximity. The idea is demonstrated with a comparison of PCs from five leading manufacturers. To assist in the planning of the comparison challenge, a mathematical programming model was formulated to maximize the value of comparison under the constraints of the comparison opportunity and budget. The model is applied to eight scenarios in terms of the range of comparing objects. The models under various scenarios are tested and contrasted with the real-world example of PCs. We found the ad effect of comparison challenge to be substantially better than banners (4.75 times) and similarity-based comparisons (2.77 times), providing customers with better performance and reduced prices.

추적 레이다의 주요 기능은 목표물을 자동으로 추적하는 기능이다. 추적 레이다 중 진폭비교 모노펄스 레이다의 추적 원리를 이용하여 목표물의 각도를 추정할 수 있다. 목표물의 각도를 추정할 때 발생되는 잡음을 고려하여, 각도 오차 검출을 통해 동작하는 진폭비교 모노펄스 레이다의 성능을 분석하고자 한다. 또한 Taylor 전개 기반 근사로 얻은 추정값을 이용하여 진폭비교 모노펄스 레이다의 추정 성능을 예측할 수 있다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 진폭비교 모노펄스 레이다의 성능을 Mean Square Error(MSE) 오차로 정량화하여 해석한다.

Studies have been made for the wireless sensor network protocols by a number of researchers to date. In particular, the studies as to the hierarchical protocol LEACH algorithm was concentrated. Various studies have been derived for the performance of the protocol is based on the LEACH protocol have been made. Improved algorithms have been proposed continuously. On the other hand, The performance comparison and evaluation of the improved algorithm is insufficient. Therefore, we compared the performance for the ML-LEACH (Multi Hop-Layered) and DL-LEACH (Dual Hop-Layered) been derived mainly LEACH. scalability, energy consumption, CH elected, network lifetime were selected as a Performance evaluation items.

It has been debating on the performance evaluation of professional construction management (PCM) services since its introduction to Taiwan's construction industry more than a decade ago. Several evaluation systems were proposed by previous researchers. However, there has no comparison study been conducted for the feasibility, effectiveness, and appropriateness of these systems to the performance management (PM) of practical PCM services. This paper is intended for this end to compare the existing PCM performance evaluation systems in Taiwan. A real world design/build (D/B) building project was selected for case study. The result of case study concludes and compares the pro's and con's of the three systems. At the end, it recommends strategies for selecting the most appropriate PCM performance evaluation for PCM services.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to confirm job satisfaction, job performance, and turnover intention according to dental hygienists' clinical assistance and preventive work. Methods: The collected data (N=380) were analyzed with independent t-tests and Pearson correlations using SPSS Statistics ver. 21.0 (IBM Co., Armonk, NY, USA). Results: The results indicated that the higher the overall job satisfaction of the dental hygienist, the higher their job performance and the lower their turnover intention (p<0.05). The results of the comparison of job satisfaction showed that preventive work was higher than dental hygienists' clinical assistance in all items except "I was pleased with work" (p<0.05). The results of the comparison of job performance showed that preventive work was higher than dental hygienists' clinical assistance in all items except "I have never complained, even if things go wrong" (p<0.05). The results of the comparison of turnover intention showed that clinical assistance was higher than dental hygienists' preventive work in all items (p<0.05). Conclusions: Our results demonstrate that job satisfaction, turnover intentions, and job performance have positive effects for preventive work. Therefore, dental clinics need to improve the actual environment so that dental hygienists can focus on preventive work.

In this paper, we present a performance comparison of feature parameters and classifiers for speech/music discrimination. Experiments were carried out on six feature parameters and three classifiers. It turns out that three classifiers shows similar performance. The feature set that captures the temporal and spectral structure of the signal yields good performance, while the phone-based feature set shows relatively inferior performance.
