혈관조영장비의 성능관리 기준개발 (Establishment of Standard of Property Control for Angiographic Equipments)

  • 최소한의 피폭선량으로 고품질의 영상진단정보를 제공하기 위하여 노후화 및 불량인 장비를 선량과 해상력을 이용하여 평가하며, 국내특수의료장비 법제화를 위한 실태파악을 토대로 국내실정에 맞는 기준치를 개발하는 것이 논문의 목적이다. 전국 29개병원에 설치되어 있는 혈관조영장비 46대를 대상으로 입사선량율(EER) 및 입력형광면조사선량(IPER)을ion chamber로 측정하였고, Burger Rose 팬텀을 사용하여 투시영상의 저대조도 해상력을 측정하였다. 현재 대학병원 및 종합병원에서 사용되는 혈관조영 장비의 현상태를 파악함으로써 장비의 노화정도를 예측하고 부적절한 장비의 사용제한을 목적으로 종합평가 결과의 통계치로1안(1)과 2안(2)으로 구분하여 기준안을 작성하였다. 해상력 및 선량으로 장비를 조사하였을 때, 91%의 혈관조영X-선 장치가 기준 이상의 성능을 갖추고 있었으며 기준 미달의 장치의 경우 병원에서 교체를 검토하고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

피로 및 내구성을 고려한 LNG 저장탱크의 수명평가 프로그램 개발 (The Development of Life Evaluation Program for LNG Storage Tank considering Fatigue and Durability)

  • LNG 산업의 핵심시설인 LNG 저장탱크는 주로 9% 니켈강형 내조와 프리스트레스 콘크리트의 외조로 구성되어 있다. 1896년 상업운전 이후 내조의 피로와 외조의 내구성 저하로 인한 구조물 성능 열화의 위험성 증대에 선제적으로 대응할 수 있도록 수명평가 프로그램이 필요하다. 이 연구는 LNG 저장탱크의 내조에 대해 피로평가와 외조의 내구성(탄산화, 염해)을 평가할 수 있는 수명평가 프로그램을 개발하였다. 내조 탱크는 3가지의 주요 시나리오를 정의하여 구조해석과 마이너 손상법칙이 적용된 피로수명 해석이 수행된다. 외조 탱크의 탄산화 평가는 이산화탄소 함량과 침투 깊이 데이터를 이용하여 콘크리트 피복두께에 따른 탄산화 진전을 예측한다. 외조 탱크의 염해 평가는 다양한 입력조건 고려와 신뢰도 있는 결과를 도출하기 위해 공개 프로그램인 Life-365프로그램에 연계하는 방안으로 구축하였다.

  • Railway systems are one of the best mass transit systems and many people have prevented incidents/accidents and reduced fatalities remarkably. Especially we have tried analyzing and finding the measures to prevent catastrophic accidents like train collision, derailment and fire because of their severities. It is important to assess the safety performances of railway systems like crash-worthiness analysis, body, derailment affecting factor analysis and so on for reducing and finding out the reasonable causes of disastrous accidents. In this paper the refined top-level system requirements to build-up national infra for assessing railway safety performance and the procedures and methodology for reviewing, verifying and validating infra requirements are explained. Basically the authors have used system engineering processes to analyze and verify the requirements and installation procedures and have tried maximizing the practicality of the various safety assessment systems.

A Comparison of Separated and Combined Winding Concepts for Bearingless Centrifugal Pumps

  • Bearingless centrifugal pump systems are employed in the semiconductor, pharmaceutical and medical industries due to their facility for pumping high purity fluids without particle contamination. Two types of forces have to be generated by the stator units, namely bearing forces for achieving magnetic levitation, and drive forces for producing the needed pump torque. The generation of these forces requires bearing and drive windings, which can be realized as separate bearing and drive coils or as identical, combined coils on the stator claws. In this paper, a detailed comparison between these two winding concepts is undertaken, whereby the copper losses, the power electronics losses, and the achievable pump output pressure are evaluated for both concepts. For each criterion a ratio of improvement is calculated analytically which allows evaluation of the performance of the two winding concepts for any given pump operating point and design. Finally, also practical features such as control complexity, cabling effort and manufacturability are discussed and measurements on prototype systems are carried out to validate the considerations.

  • 1단용 액체로켓엔진 후류 때문에 발생하는 유도로의 열적 부하를 감소시키기 위한 방법 중 물분사 방식의 효과적인 냉각 성능을 고찰하기 위해 두 가지 방법과 다양한 물분사 조건에 대해 수치적 계산을 수행하였다. 중앙분사 방식이 측면분사 방식보다 보다 효과적으로 후류를 냉각시켜 유도로의 열적부하를 감소시킴을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper proposes the novel investment priority decision method for distribution facilities considering the potential failure rate and the influence of customer caused by faults in distribution networks. The Proposed method decides the investment priority of the facilities combining, by the fuzzy rules, the KEPCO's priority decision for investment and the priority decision considering SAIFI(System Average Interruption Frequency Index) and SAIDI(System Average Interruption Duration Index). To verify the performance of the proposed method, these works utilized the projects for weak facility reinforcement planned in KEPCO in the Busan region in 2003 and 2004. The evaluation results showed that the reliability of the KEPCO in the Busan region using the proposed method can be enhanced more than using the conventional KEPCO's method.

육상시추용 Mud treatment system의 유동특성 평가 (Evaluation of Flow Characteristics of Mud Treatment System for Onshore Drilling)

  • Drilling Mud Treatment Systems are widely used for Oil Gas drilling mud circulation, horizontal directional drilling mud recycling, geothermal drilling, mining, coal exploration drilling, water well drilling. Degasser is a device used in drilling to remove gasses from drilling fluid which could otherwise form bubbles. For small amounts of entrained gas in a drilling fluid, the degasser can play a major role of removing small bubbles that a liquid film has enveloped and entrapped. As with the desander, its purpose is to remove unwanted solids from the mud system. The smaller cones allow the desilter to efficiently remove smaller diameter drill solids. In this study, a simulation study is conducted on the degasser of the facility in the Mud Treatment System to conduct a performance review on the gas separation in the mud.

  • The Purpose of this paper is to describe and demonstrate a quantitative procedure for evaluating alternative material handling systems that are being considered for possible purchase. The procedure considers both quantitative factors(i.e. costs) and qualitative factors(i.e. equipment productivity) that should be considered in the evaluation process. Since these factors are not always quantifiable it is necessary that the procedure be able to quantify all factors in commensurable units. This is accomplished via a modification of the Brown and Gibson model for facility site location and selection. The model was demonstrated via a case example that encompassed the derivation of performance measures for three material handling systems.

IPA분석을 통한 미취학 아동 급식의 급식서비스 품질특성 및 급식운영 평가 - 한국·중국·일본의 미취학 아동을 자녀로 둔 부모를 대상으로 - (An Evaluation of the Foodservice Quality and Management of Preschool Foodservice Establishments by IPA - Focusing on Parents of Preschoolers in Metropolitan Area of Korea, China and Japan -)

  • This study was targeted on the Korean, Chinese, and Japanese parents of preschoolers to investigate the importance and satisfaction of foodservice quality and the importance and performance of foodservice management of the preschool foodservice establishments. The present study conducted a survey on 390 randomly chosen parents of preschoolers (130 Korean, 130 Chinese, and 130 Japanese). Respondents' importance-satisfaction of foodservice quality characteristics and their importance-performance of foodservice management were measured. In order to test for differences between the groups, paired t-test, one way ANOVA, and IPA (Importance-Performance Analysis) were performed. The results were as follows. The importance of foodservice quality was significantly higher than the satisfaction on all items, according to the parents of Korea, China, and Japan. The importance of foodservice quality was higher in Korean parents than in Chinese and Japanese parents. According to ISA results with foodservice quality characteristics, the characteristics with relatively low satisfaction but high importance (II quadrant) was 'Diversity of menu' in both Korean and Chinese parents, and 'Sanitation of tables and chairs' in both Korean and Japanese parents. The importance of foodservice management was significantly higher than performance on all items in Korean, Chinese and Japanese parents. The performance of foodservice management was higher in Chinese than in Japanese and Korean parents. According to IPA results with foodservice management, the management with relatively low performance but high importance (II quadrant) was 'Preparation' in Korean parents, and 'Facility and equipment' in Japanese parents. Therefore, the items with relatively low satisfaction (performance) and high importance should be well-managed.

Air Quality Changes in a Museum Damaged by a Tsunami - Whale and Sea Museum, Iwate, Japan -

  • This paper provides quantitative data that describes the evolution of the air quality in the Whale and Sea Museum, located in the Iwate prefecture, collected after the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami. The museum was damaged significantly by the disaster, and restoration works continued for over six years. The air quality in the temporary storage facility and museum was monitored during the rehabilitation process. Evaluation of air quality is carried out by gas chromatography- mass spectrometry, ion chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography. The results showed that the characteristics of the chemical components differed depending on the measurement locations inside the building. The museum atmosphere tended to be alkaline as the airtightness increased because of the maintenance works at the entrance. It was also determined that it was necessary to study the intake/exhaust routes and to clean them according to the contamination degree. In Japan, there are recommended museum air quality standards for acetic acid, formic acid, alkali, and aldehydes. The results indicated that these standards should not be used as a reference for damaged museums. Furthermore, at the temporary storage facilities for to store the collections during the rehabilitation of the museum, solvents such as ethyl benzene, toluene, and xylene are initially abundant, although they can be reduced by ventilation, while other components such as 2E1H was confirmed in this case are likely to remain.
