에어로빅 체조가 젊은 여성의 건강 증진에 미치는 효과 (A Study of Aerobic Workout on Health Promotion in Young Women)

  • Currently, health promotion is an important issue in health policy for world citizens. Aerobic workout may be one way to attain health promotion. In recent years, there ave been many studies to evaluate the effects of exercise on obese people and various patients. However, there are few studies in which both physiological and psycho-perceptual aspects of health romotion for healthy people have been evaluated. Purpose: This study focused on evaluating the holistic effect of an 8 week aerobic workout for health promotion in young women. Method: This quasi-experimental study was designed as a nonequivalent control group pre-post test study. Forty healthy college women, aged between 20 and 25 volunteered for the study. Twenty women took 30 minutes of exercise a day for five days a week over 8 weeks with Jane Fonda's aerobic workout program. Twenty women participated as controls. The aerobic workout program consisted of warm-up for arms, waist, abdominal, leg, hips, buttocks and cool down exercises. Result: After the eight weeks of aerobic exercise, changes in health related fitness components through the In Body Test, skin fold, circumference of body, Body image, Self concept, Mood and Self-efficacy were compared. The results areas follows ; 1. Following the 8 week aerobic workout, health related body components, and fitness scores, increased significantly (P < 0.05) and skin fold for four sites (right upper arm, scapular, abdomen, supra ilium), and circumference of mid thigh decreased significantly (P<0.05, p<0.005, P<0.001) compared to the control group. 2. Following the 8 week aerobic workout, there was a significant increase in Self-concept and Mood (P<0.005 and 0.001) compared to the control group. Conclusion: According to these results, it is concluded that 8 weeks of aerobic workout have a positive effect on young women's holistic health promotion.

성대돌기 육아종의 음성치료 효과 (The Effects of Voice Therapy in Vocal Process Granuloma)

  • Vocal process granuloma can occur commonly by laryngopharyngeal reflux (LPR), vocal abuse or misuse. It has been reported that voice therapy is employed with medication therapy for the patients who has vocal process granuloma, however research about effect of voice therapy can be hardly founded. For that matter, the primary aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of therapeutic method we implement. Thirty one patients who has been diagnosed with vocal process granuloma from January, 2007 to June, 2009 participated in this study. 19 patients among them are provided voice therapy and medication, 12 patients take only medication. Voice therapy is implemented ranging from 5 to 19 sessions (mean: 8.6 sessions). We provided explanation about problem each patient has, voice rest, SKMVTT$^{(R)}$, abdominal breathing, and relaxation in session. All subjects were examined by videostroboscopy, perceptual assessment, acoustic and aerodynamic measures. Consequantly, the greater part of the patients (78.9%) who is treated by voice therapy and medication are confirmed disappearance or decrease of granuloma, it shows better results compared with the group provided only medication (66.7%). Especially, the period of drug administration is 3.7 months in the group runs parallel with voice therapy, the period of other group is 7.8 months. The results of acoustic and aerodynamic measures after treating indicates there are significant decrease in Jitter, Shimmer, and NHR, and increase in MPT, Psub (p<.05). However, there is no large difference statistically even though voice quality has improved since the therapy. In conclusion, it is verified that the voice therapy to the vocal process granuloma patients taking medication is effectual method, we recommend combining voice therapy with medication when treatment is needed for the vocal process granuloma patients.

사고위험성이 높은 운전자에 대한 노면표시 효과 연구 (The Effects of Pavement Markings on High-risk Drivers' Speeds)

  • PURPOSES: Speeding is often the primary contributor to fatal crashes. Surprisingly, driving behaviors are indirectly affected by personal factors such as law-abidance, risk sensitivity, and situational adaptability. This research aims to verify the effectiveness of pavement markings at reducing the speeds of high-risk drivers. The purpose of this study is to establish how drivers (including law-abiding or law-breaking, high-risk or low-risk) react to different pavement markings in a driving simulator. METHODS: The five different pavement markings were selected from markings used in other nations. The forty-two drivers were then surveyed, via questionnaires, and placed into the corresponding groups. Finally, statistical analysis was conducted to determine the extent of speed reduction for each pavement marking. RESULTS: Higher speeds were linked to the high-risk drivers. Furthermore, after analysis of the mean difference of average speeds by pavement marking, it was determined that Dragon's Teeth had the greatest speed reducing effect on these drivers. CONCLUSIONS: Perceptual countermeasures are unlikely to strongly affect high-risk drivers' perception of speed on the curves. This statistically demonstrates that Dragon's Teeth have a subtle effect on reducing speeds in the driving simulator. This study's significance lies in the improved understanding of high-risk drivers in terms of road facilities. It approaches the effects of various patterns of pavement markings for high-risk drivers.

디지털 이동통신망 환경 하에서 마스킹 효과를 이용한 객관적 음질 평가 척도 (An Objective Speech Quality Measure using Masking Effect under Digital Mobile Telephone Network Environment)

  • 본 논문에서는 이동전화망 환경 하에서의 음성의 통화품질 평가를 위해 마스킹 문턱치를 이용하는 객관적 음질평가법을 제안하고 실험을 통하여 그 유효성을 확인하였다. 현재까지 잘 알려진 BSD(Bark Spectral Distortion), PSQM(Perceptual Speech Quality Measure)등의 성능을 먼저 분석하였다. 그 결과, MOS(Mean Opinion Score)와의 상관성이 이동통신 환경하에서 문헌상에 보고된 결과보다 성능이 저하됨을 확인하였다. 이동통신 환경하에서 보다 효율적인 객관적 음질평가척도 개발을 위하여 제안된 방법에서는 인간의 심리음향학적 마스킹 현상을 이용하였고, 성능 평가시 비교대상인 주관적 음질척도로는 DMOS(Degradation MOS)를 사용하였다. 디지털 이동통신망에서 수집된 음성 데이터에 대한 성능평가실험을 수행한 결과, BSD와PSQM 같은 기존의 척도들에 비하여 평균 4%의 상관성능이 향상됨을 확인하였다.

장소특정적 연극-퍼포먼스 연구 - 한국의 공연작품들을 중심으로 - (A study on the site-specific theatre-performance - focused on the Korean performances -)

  • Site-specific performance is always the real on-site work taking place at the site. Hence, it deals with the reality, in other words, the time of creation and formation. And it creates value and meaning through the interaction and continuous direct communication process between the performers, audience and the local residents. In this performance, the audience's status as the passive observer changes. They become the co-agent who actively lead and complete the performance through their own experience. We have examined the The Working Methods of Site-specific Performance and Aesthetics of Effect through four Korean performances ; Marie, An aesthetic experiment of site as the storyteller; Heterotopia and Urban Movement Research or Play: We Will Move Your Sofa, as performances which have Revealed history, politics, institution engraved in the site ; A Song of Mandala and Miracle, as a ritualistic site-specific performance at the historic site. Some remarks on Site-specific performance ; First, In Site-specific performance, the habitus peculiar to the stage art and the mode of reception are changed. Second, a new mode of theatrical communication requires creator and audience to have a sharp aesthetic sensibility and to change one's perceptual habit. Third, Site-specific performance can act as a demonstration for the viewpoints of political activism through what could be called a dramatic close-up effect. Fourth, Site-specific performance also has the risk of merely becoming an unfocused and scattered performance or degenerating into a pseudo-sightseeing. To avoid this, an in-depth study of the site and its socio-cultural context, and the clear motivation with which one is trying to reveal and tell from the site must be indispensable. As the co-agent, the audience should also be aware and think about what the given performance signifies today.

공간 구성요소 및 지각단서를 활용한 가상환경 내 깊이지각 보정 (Correction of Depth Perception in Virtual Environment Using Spatial Compnents and Perceptual Clues)

  • 가상환경을 활용한 시뮬레이션과 같은 교육, 훈련 등이 다양한 분야에 적용되고 있는 만큼 그 활용성은 무궁무진하다. 하지만 가상환경에서 훈련을 함에 있어 깊이지각의 과소추정이 존재하며, 이는 향후 훈련의 타당도에 문제가 될 수 있다. 관련 연구에서는 이를 해결하기 위해 하향식 보정방안을 적용하여 문제를 해결하려 하였으나 그 결과가 학습에 의한 효과인지 실제 지각의 변화인지에 대한 구분이 어렵다는 단점이 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 실험결과를 통하여 공간 구성요수 중 비례가 깊이지각에 유의미한 영향을 끼치는 것을 확인하였으며, 비례와 깊이지각 단서를 함께 보정하여 실험할 경우 깊이지각 중 크기지각이 매우 정확해진다는 것을 확인하였다. 이에 본 연구에서는 깊이지각의 정확도를 높이기 위해 공간 구성요소와 깊이지각을 활용한 보정방안을 제시한다.

블록 DCT와 영상 정규화를 이용한 회전, 크기, 이동 변환에 견디는 강인한 로고 삽입방법 (A RST Resistant Logo Embedding Technique Using Block DCT and Image Normalization)

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 저작권 보호를 위한 회전, 크기, 이동 (RST: Rotation, Scale, Translation) 변환 공격에 견디는 강인한 로고 삽입 방법을 제안한다. 기하학적인 처리는 영상의 화질을 많이 훼손하지 않으면서 워터마크의 탐지 과정을 매우 복잡하고 어렵게 한다. 정규화된 영상 (Normalized image)에 워터마크를 삽입하는 방법은 영상의 정규화 과정에서 보간에 의해 평탄화 (Smoothing effect) 현상이 발생하는 단점이 있다. 이것은 워터마크를 정규화된 영상에 직접 삽입하는 대신, 영상 정규화를 변환 파라미터를 계산하는데 사용함으로써 해결할 수 있다. RST 변환에 대응하기 위한 기존의 방법은 주로 전체 영상에 대해 DFT 변환을 수행한다. 그러나 이 방법은 전체 영상에 변환을 취함으로써 효과적인 마스킹 방법의 적용이 어려운 단점이 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 $8\times8$ 블록 DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform)를 채용하고 $8\times8$ 블록 DCT 계수의 공간-주파수 국부화 특성을 이용한 마스킹 방법을 사용한다. 실험결과, 제안된 방법이 영상 압축과 기하학적 처리를 포함한 다양한 공격에 강인한 특성을 보였다.

기능적 실성증에 대한 음성치료의 효과 분석: 기초 연구 (The Effect of Voice Therapy for the Treatment of Functional Aphonia: A Preliminary Study)

  • Background and Objectives Functional aphonia refers to in which by presenting whispering voice and almost producing very high-pitched tensed voices are produced. Voice therapy is the most effective treatment, but there is a lack of consensus for application of voice therapy. The purpose of this study was to examine the vocal characteristics of functional aphonia and the effect of voice therapy applied accordingly. Materials and Method From October 2019 to December 2020, 11 patients with functional aphonia were treated using voice therapy which was processing three stages such as vocal hygiene, trial therapy, and behavioral therapy. Of these, 7 patients who completed the voice evaluation before and after voice therapy was enrolled in this study. By retrospective chart review, clinical information such as sex, age, symptoms, duration, social and medical history, process of voice therapy, subjective and objective findings were analyzed. Voice parameters before and after voice therapy were compared. Results In GRBAS study, grade, rough, and asthenic, and in Consensus Auditory-Perceptual Evaluation of Voice, overall severity, roughness, pitch, and loudness were significantly improved after voice therapy. In Voice handicap index, all of the scores of total and sub-categories were significantly decreased. In objective voice analysis, jitter, cepstral peak prominence, and maximum phonation time were significantly improved. Conclusion The voice therapy was effective for the treatment of functional aphonia by restoring patient's vocalization and improving voice quality, pitch and loudness.

유아의 시지각 인지기능 개선을 위한 이미지 블록 연동형 콘텐츠 구성과 구현 (Implementation of Image Block Linked Contents to Improve Children's Visual Perception and Cognitive Function)

  • 본 논문에서는 스마트폰의 사진과 영상을 활용하는 상호작용형 콘텐츠 디바이스인 아이퍼즐 이미지 블록과 연동 가능한 시지각 인지기능 훈련 콘텐츠를 구성하였다. 이를 위해 시각기억, 시각연속성, 공간관계, 시각구별의 4개 영역을 도출하고 콘텐츠 동작, 활용방법과 시나리오를 작성하였다. 콘텐츠 이미지를 디자인하고 기존 학습지형 시각 및 지각 인지기능 훈련 자료를 모바일 미니 게임형으로 개발하여 유아의 훈련참여 욕구를 지속부여, 유도하고자 하였다. 개발된 콘텐츠를 활용하여 일반 아동과 보호자를 대상으로 체험활동을 수행하였으며 기본 퍼즐 완구 대비 높은 집중도와 유익성, 효과성에서 의미있는 결과를 확인하였다. 본 논문을 통해 디지털 완구와 콘텐츠를 기반으로 하는 인지기능 개선활동 연구에 의미있는 자료가 되기를 기대한다.

방해자극의 기억용이성이 목표자극의 기억 수행에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Distractor Memorability on Target Memory Performance)

  • 기억용이성은 자극이 얼마나 잘 기억될 수 있는가를 나타내는 척도로 자극의 지각적, 의미적 특성으로는 설명되지 않는 자극 고유의 특성이다. 기존의 기억용이성 연구는 주로 단독으로 제시된 자극을 얼마나 잘 기억할 수 있는가를 측정했다. 그러나 단일 자극만 제시하는 연구로는 다수의 자극이 동시에 나타나는 현실 세계의 시각 정보 처리 과정을 설명하는 데 한계가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 다수의 자극이 동시에 제시되었을 때 자극의 기억용이성 수준에 따라 기억 과제 수행이 어떻게 달라지는가를 알아봤다. 참가자들은 기억용이성이 높거나 낮은 방해자극과 동시에 제시된 목표자극을 기억하는 과제를 수행했다. 실험 결과, 목표자극의 기억용이성이 높았을 때 기억 수행이 향상되었으나, 목표자극의 기억용이성 효과는 동시에 제시된 방해자극의 기억용이성 수준의 영향을 받지 않았다. 이러한 결과는 높은 기억용이성을 가진 자극이 자동적으로 상향적 주의를 유도하지 않는다는 선행 연구 결과를 지지한다.
