Two sets of numerical simulations were carried out for a planing hull model ship. In the first, the WAVIS 1.4 linear and nonlinear potential solver was utilized with the free support condition, in which the running posture was determined during calculation. The linear and nonlinear potential calculation results showed qualitative agreement in the trim and resistance coefficient with the MOERI towing tank test. However, the nonlinear potential calculation gave better results than the linear method. In the next simulation, Fluent 6.3.26 with a VOF model and the WAVIS 1.4 nonlinear potential solver were used with the given running posture from the measurement carried out in the MOERI towing tank. Fluent with the VOF method had substantially better agreement with model test results than the results from the WAVIS nonlinear potential calculation for the total resistance coefficient, and for the bow and stern wave patterns, in spite of the much greater computational costs. Both methods can be utilized in planing hull design when their limitations are perceived, and the running posture should be predicted correctly.
This study investigates the importance of brand and retailer associations when consumers evaluate a product category extension in the context of brand and retailer collaborations. Although brand extensions are considered to reduce costs for introducing a new product category, limited study has focused on the role of brand and retailer associations in the context of brand and retailer collaborations. Using a total of 440 participants, a hypothesized model was tested using a structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that brand and retailer associations influence the perceived fit between a brand and a retailer. In addition, the image fit and quality fit are significantly related to brand and retailer attitudes as well as brand extension evaluation. Since consumers may use their associations with brands or retailers when they perceive product differentiation, market position, and brand extensions, the role of brand or retailer associations is important to marketers, retailers, and consumers. Given the importance of brand and retailer collaborations as a brand positioning strategy in the global branding and retail setting, the findings of this study contribute to brand and retail management by providing empirical evidence on how consumers perceive new products from extended brands in the marketplace when a brand collaborates with a retailer.
The purpose of this study is to identify what elements of VR games satisfy and continuous usage for the sustainable development of VR games. Specifically, an extended acceptance model was proposed with the addition of perceived costs, presences, satisfied variables to predict the acceptance and the intention of continued use of VR games. As a result, in general, it was found that the extended technology acceptance model with three external factors is more advantageous to explain the characteristics of VR game and its effect on users than the existing model. This study is suggested an integrated research model that considers the core characteristics of VR games and observe which factors lead to the persistent intention to contribute to the study about the VR game.

With the increased interest in green buildings, the building industry has been experiencing a fast-growing demand for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification for the last decade. Still, it is not unusual to see various barriers and issues during its implementation, and experience tells that they can result in harming the overall project performance with reworks, lower productivity, schedule delays, and cost overruns. In order to better understand the industry's observation on issues and their consequences during LEED implementation, we distributed an online survey, and a total of 53 responses were received. The survey results indicate that (1) both designers and non-designers (e.g., contractors) select 'added costs to design and construction' as the biggest barrier; (2) both designers and non-designers select 'decision made too late in the design process' as the most frequently observed issue; and (3) non-designers indicate higher perceived severity in every consequence criteria than designers. The statistical analyses reveal that cost overruns are the most severe impact observed and have a statistically significant relationship with responses in regard to the barrier to LEED implementation.
Vertical farming is one of the important solutions to overcome future food and population problems. However, underdeveloped countries can't afford due to high initial investment costs and technical huddles. To solve this problem, it is necessary to formalize the vertical farming area using ontology. In this paper, we present an ontology that includes various cultivation methods of vertical farming, connects sensors and actuates according to the methods, and recognizes and controls the cultivation environment context of the selected vertical fanning, we expect to be able to autonomously make control decisions about the context by analyzing the environmental context that is important for perceived vertical cultivation using the logical reasoning function of ontology.
The study aimed to analyze the factors influencing customer experience and satisfaction in home meal replacement (HMR) subscription services through the lens of the Value-based Adoption Model (VAM). Specifically, the study examined the mediating role of customer value co-creation. A survey was conducted among users of HMR subscription services within the last three months, yielding 200 valid responses for analysis using AMOS 24.0. The findings revealed that the factors of usefulness, entertainment, convenience, and curation positively impacted customer value co-creation, while perceived anxiety had a negative effect. Interestingly, the influence of perceived costs on customer value co-creation was not significant, potentially indicating that cost concerns may be overshadowed by other factors in this service context. Among the variables, curation emerged as the most influential factor, followed by convenience, usefulness, and entertainment. Customer value co-creation was found to significantly enhance both customer experience and satisfaction, with customer experience also directly contributing to increased customer satisfaction. The study underscored the importance of customer value co-creation as a mediating factor, bridging the gap between service features and customer outcomes. This mediation highlights how effectively managed interactions between the service provider and customers can transform perceived value into tangible satisfaction. From a practical standpoint, the results emphasize the critical role of curation services in driving customer value and satisfaction in HMR subscription services. Companies should focus on refining curation and enhancing convenience to maximize customer engagement and satisfaction. The study provides valuable academic insights into the dynamics of customer value co-creation and its implications for service management, contributing to the broader understanding of how modern subscription services can optimize customer relationships.
This research analyzed the factors that have the influences on the intentions to use the consumer dispute settlement system for the small- and medium-sized corporations. The consumer dispute settlement system is a general Internet information portal service which enables the small- and medium-sized corporations and the small businesses receive the support for the accurate damage handling method and the legal service through the Internet in their disputes with the black consumers or the consumers. With the small- and medium-sized corporation users who use the consumer dispute settlement system as the subjects, the research took a lot at what influences the consumer dispute settlement system has on the quality of the information, the quality of the system, the ease-of-use regarding which the environmental factors are perceived, and the ease that was perceived and, finally, what influences it has on the intention of the use. The accuracy, the convenience, and the costs of the consumer dispute settlement system had the positive influences on the ease-of-use that was perceived and the accuracy and the convenience, also had the positive influences on the usefulness that was perceived. Also, it was verified that the ease-of-use of the consumer dispute settlement system that was perceived and the usefulness of use of the consumer dispute settlement system that was perceived finally had the positive influence relationships with the intention of the use. It is highly expected that if, based on the results of this research, the quality of the consumer dispute settlement system is maintained and supplemented to fit the priority order, there will be the maintenance of, and the development toward, a system that is even more improved than the previously existent system.

This study aims to, looking from a standpoint of network, has investigated the shipping industry's B2B e-marketplace, the characteristics that can earn electronic trust from the users, and characteristics of the web-site. It has examined the mechanism whereby electronic trust be earned and how it affects web-site involvement and service transaction intention. Ultimately, The study attempts to make proposals whereby such trust can lead for a cooperative trading community in the shipping industry's B2B e-marketplace The Covalence structural equation modeling was designed and empirically tested for the shipping industry's B2B e-marketplace. The shipping industry employees were given questionnaires and data were analyzed. Except for perceived security of the three characteristic factors on the web-site, the perceived site quality and characteristics factors in operation only affected co-variables. Transaction Fairness was determined to be the most important factor among exogenous factors increasing electronic trust. With regards to transaction rules, if a transaction is beneficial only to one side, then no long term transaction will not take place. If the concerned parties properly recognize that transaction fairness is crucial to electronic transaction, then it will enormously contribute to successful operations of shipping e-marketplace. Also, Perceived efficiency in transaction also affects electronic trust. This reduces transaction costs and speeds up and simplifies the transaction process. It has reduced greater time and costs than existing off-line transaction, and would positively affect electronic trust. By making an open forum for participants to obtain information for transaction, they can gather useful information, and at the same time, the web-site operator can provide information, which, in turn, will increase electronic trust in electronic transaction. Furthermore, such formation of trust in electronic transaction influences shipping companies in such a way that they will want to continuously participate in the transaction, raising web-site involvement. The result of increased trust is that shipping companies in the future will do business with each other and form a foundation for continuous transactions amongst themselves. Consequently, the formation of trust in electronic transaction greatly influences web-site involvement and service transaction intention. The results of the study have again proved that in order to maintain continuous business relationship with the current clients, electronic trust in virtual space, which operates the shipping industry's B2B e-marketplace, is important for the interested parties.
Study is about Bit Coin that is electronic cash that is received attention globally in recent. It is increasing domestically that uses bit coin for convenience of micro payment, and also bit coin is possible to exchange each countries' currency. In this point, we searched understanding degree and acceptance of bit coin. Also we applied transformed TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) to search factors that have an effect on consumers' intention to use it. In advance, we analyze features of bit coin, and extract factors through preceding researches for existing electronic cash, because studies for intention to use bit coin are weak in internal and external. First of results is that 'economic efficiency' which is a characteristic variable of bit coin influences 'intention to use,' a dependent variable through 'perceived usefulness,' a parameter. It was investigated that monetary and mental costs that was costed when we use bit coin were less than using other cash. Secondly, 'payment convenience' that is a characteristic variable affects 'intention to use', a dependent variable through 'perceived usefulness,' a parameter. It was measured that problems of inconvenience that include transaction process, cash management time shortage and exchange changes will be solved by using bit coin. Thirdly, 'reliability' that is a perceived risk variable of bit coin has a direct effect on 'intention to use,' a dependent variable. It was investigated that we could achieve purpose of payment because we weren't influenced by breakdown on system by processing distributed database in some computers. Fourthly, 'perceived usefulness,' a parameter of bit coin directly affects 'intention to use,' a dependent variable. Then consumers who want to use bit coin are fascinated bit coin for various usability. Moreover, we want to provide implications to all of finance corporations, companies related electronic cash and bit coin users based on these results.
Purpose - Understanding how service convenience drives shopping performance is imperative for retailers such as department and large discount stores. Retailers have to enhance shopping productivity by reducing the costs of shopping, as convenience triggers customers' perceived shopping value, leading to customer satisfaction, and ultimately patronage behavior. Consumers, generally considering time as a scarce resource, are more sensitive to the time costs of tasks in regard to shopping trip, differently from forming perceptions of convenience in time orientation. Therefore, this study attempts to examine the moderating effects of consumers' time orientation on the relationships among service convenience of retailers and shopping performances such as shopping value and service performances. Research design, data, and methodology - The department and discount store chains were chosen as the point of analysis in this study. Data were collected from a survey of real-life consumers and all respondents were screened to ensure only those who had visited in the department and discount store chains within past six month prior to the day of data collection. Out of 600 self-reported surveys that were distributed, a total of 530 responses were returned and after excluding 20 incomplete responses, the final sample size was 510. The three hypotheses were proposed and tested in this study. The one hypothesis was on the moderating effects of time orientation for the effects of service convenience on shopping value (hedonic and utilitarian shopping value). The other two hypotheses were on the comparisons between high and low time-oriented customers with the effects in shopping value from service performance. Hierarchical moderated regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Results - The results suggest that the effect of service convenience on utilitarian shopping value and the positive effect of utilitarian shopping value on customer satisfaction are greater in low time orientation than high time orientation customers. Conversely, when customers are highly oriented toward time, the effects of hedonic shopping value on customer satisfaction and revisit intention are greater than for customers who are lowly oriented toward time. Conclusions - This study has two-fold significance. First, this study contributes to the consumer behavior and services marketing literature by incorporating customers' time orientation into the service convenience-shopping performance. Although the effect of service convenience on shopping performance might differ from customers' perceptions concerning shopping, there has been little investigation or comparison between customers' perception on time. This study is a first attempt to consider how the effects of service convenience on shopping value and service performance vary with differing levels of customers' time orientation. This study advances prior studies by showing that the service convenience-shopping value and service convenience-service performance relationships vary across different combinations of the customer's time orientation. The findings of this study suggest that the retailers need to enhance the experiential aspects of the stores for their high time-oriented customers. Conversely, for the low time-oriented customers, the retailers should boost the visual distinctiveness and ease of store navigation.
