The weight of shoes may serve as a determining factor of perceived comfort and feel to the consumer in their purchase and repurchase decisions of footwear. People, however, seem to have trouble in accurately judging the feeling of weight of shoes on their feet. This paper made a psychophysical study of subjects′ sensitivity to weight on their feet and in their hands. The experiment consisted of 3 tests according to the motions people make when they evaluate the feel of shoes: 1) vertical lifting of a shoe on the foot ("hefting" in on the foot) 2) swing the shod foot back and forth; 3) holding and lifting a shoe by hand ("hefting" it in the hand). The method of constant stimuli and magnitude estimation were used for the experiment with 20 subjects. Weber′s ratios and the power law exponents obtained for each of the three tests were 0.156 and 0.713, 0.108 and 0.970, and 0.065 and 1.249, respectively in the same order of the previously listed tests.

There are many problems for the rural old peoples who to use the rural houses practically with physical and mental disabilities to make use of them because the rural houses have a tendency to look alike the urban houses. Today the rural old peoples are treated distantly by the boundary of national reserved power to make and activate their facilities, the shortness of their economically surplus power and the absence nationally social security system in spite of their physical and mental disabilities. So it is necessary for us to remodel symmetrically their rural houses to fit their physical and mental disabilities to spend comfortable living and to develop structure remodeling programs and space reorganization programs of the rural handicapped old peoples' houses to support independent life to correspond with their physical and mental disabilities.

Disabled people have benefited greatly from the developments in technology over the last twenty years. Systems have been developed and refined to help them overcome, or cope with, difficulties they experience as a result of their disabilities. As technology has become cheaper, more powerful and easier to use, disabled people have taken to using them to an ever increasing degree. In this paper, we propose novel hybrid mobility devices which use a combination of human power and electric power. This paper deals with the design of a direct-drive wheel Axial-flux permanent magnet motor. This type motor prove to be the best candidate for application in electric vehicles, as in comparison with conventional motors they allow design with higher compactness, lightness. A prototype vehicle for an application as a hybrid wheelchair is designed, built, and tested.

The aim of this paper is to evaluate noise characteristics of an electric power driven hammer. These investigation and analysis were made according to the ISO 1680/1 and MIL-STD 7410-1 and lead-wrapping experiment method that was used to identify the principal noise sources and analyze its noise. Hammer generates loud noise and it irritates and affects many people. Repeated exposures to loud noise can lead people to permanent hearing loss. Based on the contribution analysis, we confirm that the striker part is a major noise source and it has directional noise radiation pattern, which is left and right.

One of the most important characteristics in Hollywood movies is that Hollywood movies have created heroes. But, the meaning of heroes in Hollywood movies is different from proto- typical heroes. America has such a short history, so it doesn't have the mythology. It is also consist of multi-race, culture. Thus, America people, especially governor need something that tie up governed people spiritually. Hollywood film industry has responded about this expectation since 1920's. Hollywood film producers have created mythology and hero like the western genre and Rambo. Now days, America, as only super power, wants to spread it's mythology and heroes over the world. That is cultural Imperialism.

소셜미디어(Social media) 환경이 세계적으로 '정치권력전환(power shift)'에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 이런 변화가 스마트한 국민의 선택(the people's choice)이다. 따라서 시대적 변화의 추세에 정치인, 정당도 시대에 걸맞는 스마트($S^6M^2AR^3T^4$)한 정치PR전략 트렌드를 구상해야 한다. 이제 정치인이나 정당은 소셜네트워크 서비스(Social Network Service, SNS)를 통하여 국민에게 모든 정책이 보다 구체적(Specific)이고, 간결(Simplicity)하게 하여, 다 같이 강한(Strong) 시너지(Synergy)의 효과를 공유(Sharing)할 수 있어야 한다. 또한 올바른 정책이 목표를 향해 힘(Mighty)있게 추진하되, 그 정책이 평가 할 수(Measurable)있도록 성취(Achievable)되어야 한다. 그리고 그 정책은 국가의 모든 분야와 관련(Relevance)된 통합적인 차원에서 국민의 신뢰(Reliability)와 현실적(Realistic)바탕에서 각 계층(Target segmentation), 국민 모두(Together)의 소외됨 없이 비전과 목표(Target)를 가지고 누구나 동등한 기회(Time)로 저 마다 행복한 삶이 추구되어야 한다. 이런 정책 바탕에서 스마트시민정당의 발전 방향과 그 대안에 대한 12가지 키워드(key words)를 제안하고 있다. 이런 스마트시민정당의 정치PR전략만이 '강한나라, 힘 있는 대한민국 건설(mighty and powerful Korea)'을 실행시킬 수 있고 국민의 선택(the people's choice)을 받게 될 것이다.

인원계수는 특정 시설의 혼잡도나 이용량을 파악하여 시설을 효율적으로 관리하거나 화장실 등 특정 장소의 출입인원을 파악하여 자동으로 절전기능을 구현함으로써 에너지 절약을 최대화하기 위한 용도로 늘 관심있는 방법이었다. 영상처리에 의한 인원계수 방법은 매우 비용이 비싸며 조명의 주위환경에 심하게 영향을 받는 단점이 있고 area sensor의 경우 인원이 팔짱을 끼고 근접하여 통과할 경우 1명의 인원으로 계수하는 단점이 있다. 비용이 비싸고 조명에 영향을 받거나 특정한 경우 인원계수가 부정확한 기존의 방법을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 라이다(LIADAR)의 원리를 이용한 새로운 인원계수 방법을 제안한다. 병원 출입인원을 정확하기 계수하는 것은 병원시설을 관리하는 데도 도움이 되겠지만 코로나19가 만연한 현시점에서 효율적인 방역대책을 세우는 데도 도움이 될 것이다.

The demand for the high quality of utility electrical power has been increasing rapidly in recent years because of today's electrical energy dependent industries and most people's everyday lives based on computer systems. However, electrical power supply conditions to meet this high quality demand becomes more difficult and more due to a large portion of nuclear power plants output in total electrical power supply which normally do not respond to frequency variations, and high peak of air conditioner demands during the summer season. So the rest of power plants should be operated to show the best governor regulation performance to maintain the electrical power frequency quality.

This paper addresses the zero-sum of soft power against the backdrop of the rise of China and the relative "decline" of America. It attempts to find out that whether the "decline" of America's soft power is caused by the rise of China's soft power, and whether China's rise could guarantee with certainty the growth of soft power. In light of the particularity of South Korea, that is, its economy relies on China and its security relies on the US, this paper chooses South Korea as the entry point for the study. Based on the Pew data from a South Korean opinion poll, this paper conducts bivariate correlation and binary logistic regression respectively, to explore the existence of zero-sum "competitions" between China's and America's soft power.
